Which is sorely lacking in US air carriers, who don't seem to understand that air travel is a service industry, and to excel in a service industry, PEOPLE are most important to the customers. Specifically, having enough people: US airline employees are well-trained professionals too, but "corporate" consistently under-hires/deploys, which leaves employees juggling far too much at once, which degrades the service experience for the customer. Yeah, I get "the bottom line," but service industry customers will always go to businesses that offer better service. Ok, rant over. JAL is tops."

They say the option may not be available because I purchased my ticket from 3rd party, not from JAL or it was code share flight. Very inconvenient. I had to skip 2 meals out of 3in leaving for Japan. As soon as the plane pulled away from the terminal, crew members seemed rushed and frantic, literally running back and forth from Economy Premium to the galley gathering items. Approximately every 7-10 minutes, crew members would be running back and forth next to my seat with heavy foot steps, which would wake me up. I also noticed that certain crew members were shouting at passengers to get their attention instead of lowering themselves to be heard. One flight attendant almost spilled orange juice on me because she turned around too fast trying to serve drinks. I'm not sure if they were short-staffed, or if it was the influence of a certain crew boss, but something was definitely wrong."

The Singapore Airways website does not state this anywhere, and it was not until I arrived at the airport that I was informed that I wouldn't be able to check in, but nor could I refund or transfer the ticket. The booker should be obliged, when one enters the passport information upon purchasing the ticket, to make note if the passport expiration time is not valid for the flight. Spent $600+ on the flight, and the customer service person I spoke to from the airport was very abrasive and not interested in helping me figure out an alternative."

When we we asked for the third time they brushed us off with a time frame. It was extremely disappointing."

Food - my daughter could barely eat anything and the vegetarian meals were stone cold most of time. It was hard to eat at Qatar airport because not only is the food terrible (Burger King and bad Asian food) but outrageously expensive. Our media system did not work for one leg. ** way to many ads on your media system. Every time you watch a new TV episode, you have to sit through 5-6 ads for stuff that is not interesting and the same each time. ** plane info on media system keeps reverting to Arabic even when English is indicated as preferred la gauge. We had to place our iPads in checked luggage for flights from harare to USA as we went through Qatar. *** I asked for quiet seats and was given seats near kitchen and toilet even though I booked in hours in advance. One leg had my ten year old daughter and I in different rows even though I checked in 4-5 hours in advance Of flight . ** staff moved my hand luggage without my permission and without informing me - it was stressful trying to find it."
Pros: "Great take off and landing. Nice comfort packet, blanket, and pillow Good service and spacious seating in economy class."
Pros: "The flight was on time. The crew was very accommodating. The food is better than some other airlines. The entertainment provided had a lot of choices I had an 8 1/2 hour layover in Doha. They booked me a short stay in a hotel at no extra charge. This included a car and driver to and from the hotel. It was a nice hotel close to the airport."
Cons: "I was sitting in economy. I booked too late to get any type of upgrade for extra legroom. For Economy it was OK, but cramped and hard to get comfortable on a 13+ hour flight."

This must happen to customers frequently because the wording is not clear. i was very upset and due to this i will NOT fly this airline again. i was charged the price of a first call flight in total for economy service. NOT GOOD"

Time they served food made no sense at all either. Within the hour of getting on the plane, they served a meal which made no sense because most folks ate before getting on the plane. Stewardesses were not friendly (only 1 made me feel valued and welcomed)"

Cons: "The check in and boarding process in Incheon was terrible! My flight ticket was printed and had the wrong name, which the agent at the check in desk did not catch. It was not until I went to the security line when they found a mismatched name. I was asked to go through security THREE TIMES. And then at the gate, I was supposedly "randomly selected" for ANOTHER swab/swipe security check. The flight itself was uncomfortable. There are not enough bathrooms for the number of people seated on the flight. The entertainment was the only excellent and recommendable thing about this delta flight."

Cons: "This was a 2 layover rebooking of a one layover flight, which was late (I would be missing my connection). I asked an Air France rep in Japan to assign me an exit row seat (it’s a 14 hrs flight and I am almost 6 ft tall). She showed me the plane diagram and picked a seat, but when I arrived it turned out I was in a row directly behind. WiFi did not worked and the flight attendant said “they could not do anything” My film was interrupted twice (with a random film drubbed in Korean) and had to be reset manually Food was not great (and menues are identical on all delta flights - this was my 5th delta flight in the course of one week), the snack in particular (leek and mushroom cream soup-like mass wrapped in a tortilla - who ever thought of this? And one of the flight attendants was aloof and snappy."
Pros: "Everything was perfect, everyone was nice, there was lots of room, the crew offered snacks frequently, WiFi had a great connection and there was a wide array of entertainment."
Cons: "There was a problem with the plane that they told us after we boarded that delayed our plane an hour. But hey, better safe than sorry!"

Cons: "There was a mechanical issue that delayed departure. Fortunately I did not have a connection to make. The crew made sure to communicate with everyone onboard frequently so we were aware of the situation and progress. They handled everything well which was reassuring for my peace of mind."

Cons: "I had the feeling they were short on crew staff, they were barely checking and I called them a couple of times, the blue light was on but no one came to check what I needed. At first the reading lights were not working and they got those reset at least. One choice of food was not available anymore once they got to our seats."
Pros: "Our flight attendants were lovely people specifically the first class attendant and he was humorous and witty, polite and friendly trying to make our christmas eve late night flight to be enjoyable."
Cons: "When we touched down in a blizzard we were told there was no jetway available and we had to climb down an icy ladder to walk probably 1000 feet on black ice barely seeing where we were going and at least one person fell and overall it was just very unprofessional and not the quality of service I expect from Delta."

Cons: "Flight was packed which always makes for a more cramped ride. Again, boarding. Flight boarded late and just seems boarding from the back to front would be faster."

Cons: "One of the legs did not have the free wifi available, but they mentioned that before takeoff and were very apologetic that it had not been added to that plane yet."
Cons: "When they called for passengers with infants and those who needed more time they also called for anyone who wanted to check their luggage. So of course people cut right in front of me as I was about to scan my pass. What is the point of asking us to come up if they are just going to let people jump in front of me."
Cons: "The air conditioning was broken so it was sweltering the whole time. Staff didn't even mention it or apologize. No leg room. Bags took longer than 20 minutes to arrive but we didn't make a fuss since we were just glad to be finished with Delta. I'll never fly Delta again even if it costs me more."
Cons: "Didn't stick to zones when boarding customers. Gate agent basically let anyone board during pre boarding and priority boarding, why even offer it if you aren't going to make people adhere to the rules."
