Was a quick boarding and off loading process. Flights were affordable with was appreciated but we decided we'd rather pay $20 more for better service and accommodation. Thanks anyways!
We had almost a 6 hour flight and nothing was included. No beverage, cracker or even a water. The seats were very uncomfortable and the service was slim to none. We also were 6th in line to get on the plane and they wouldn't allow for our within regulation travel guitar to come onboard. This was very disappointing because we didn't want it to get broken! Over all we will always pay a little more to fly with another company next time!
The only way they make money is by fucking you on hidden fees. My bag was slightly heavier than their tiny 7kg limit and they made me pay $180 to check it even though it would have been $35 beforehand. The previous day I had arrived at check in 55 minutes before my flight (which would have been ample time to get through security before the plane started boarding in the Sydney airport) and they would not let me check in because "they had already started filling out the paperwork". They charged me another fee to fly on the same flight the next day. The company's policies are bullshit money grubbing and I'll never fly with them again. They don't care about people.
I don't know because j never made the flight. I got a completely different time of the flight than what the time really was which caused me to missed the flight. On top of that I was treated rudely whenever I called to get another flight and I was unable to be helped. Additionally I never got a a refund. I am in the military and was out of 1400 moving costs on a flight that wasn't worth it. Never using again
Kayak or virgin have offered no assistance, just that the flight was cancelled.. very poor on both sides. Bit of a shame seeing as you are paying good money for a service. Will be thinking again when choosing my flights
I felt like I had to pay for so many things as upgrades. To have an aisle seat, I had to pay extra. To take one bag that was less than 20 k, I had to pay extra. I paid extra for in-flight entertainment. My flight from Denpasar to Sydney did not have working entertainment; however, I did not get a refund for my entertainment purchase. The flight from Sydney to Denpasar had complimentary entertainment; again, no refund for the entertainment purchase.
We were on our way from syd to bali and just before we reached ocean we turned around and headed back toward Melbourne. As upset as we were about that situation they were extremely accommodating. They said the Landon strip in Bali had broke so we couldn't land. They Bieber, gave us free coffee, tea and juices and gave us all free onboard entertainment. When we got to Melbourne they had set up free shuttle server and out us all up in a very very nice suite and gave us a voucher for breakfast which was more than enough! Then on our way back to bali they again gave us all free onboard entertainment. Very nice! Loved it!
Didn't like that they took so long to tell us about the problems on the landing strip. I thought we were being hijacked!
I liked the planes that were used, very comfortable and excellent staff
- I received an e-mail from Kayak which said my flight was CANCELLED. I didn't enjoy having to call the airline company, Kayak, and priceline to find out whether the flight was really cancelled or just delayed.
- The 4 hour delay, which resulted in me missing my last lay over by an hour, which in turn had me waiting at the airport for an additional 8 hours.
The boarding process went well and was organized. The cabin staff was welcoming and very presentable. The seats were fine, even in economy. The uniforms on the cabin staff were attractive andnthey looked well on the girls. The staff, both male and female, were friendly and pleasant. The flight was fine, a little late, but not the fault of the airline. I would fly this airline again.
It was barely two hours and that kept me from having to go to a Malaysian hospital.
Having Multiple Sclerosis & extreme neuropathy plus being postop with two major abdominal surgeries just weeks before, I called customer service and they guaranteed my medical needs would be met at the gate. They were not and not having a bulkhead seat on the first 2 hour leg from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur caused me massive pain and circulatory issues - in spite of surgical note requiring it. Not good assistance over phone or in Bangkok.
