Pros: Crew, food and entertainment.
Cons: Everything went well.
Pros: They rescheduled without our consent and didn’t give any accommodation either. We stuck at Dubai for 24 hour
Pros: Overall, wonderful! Appreciate that they started boarding early and that we left right on time, if not a little earlier. Was very comfortable and excellent flight. Thank you so much! Very pleasant experience.
Pros: Great entertainment, great seating and space comfort. Overall a great experience. But, Etihad airways is still better than Emirates.
Cons: Longer wait for boarding. The assigned zones were the last possible ones. Zone F or something similar. Flight attendants were okay, cared less for economy class. Also, Bluetooth headphones pairing did not work.
Cons: No Bassinet provided. Staff was not friendly One of them was very rude. Food was not good. Couldn't get a vegetarian food
Pros: Emirates staff are polite and respectful
Cons: 777 for travel from Dubai to Boston is not a comfortable plane
Pros: Very nice
Pros: Your staff is professional and endures difficult situations patiently and professionally. Kudos to them,
Cons: No wi-fi even though the flight was advertised otherwise. I chose Emirates because of wi-fi availability. The reason I was given for non-availability of Wi-Fi was that the airplane was brand new...which seemed a little convoluted for these times.
Pros: Friendly crew and more leg room on the Emirates flights
Cons: Passengers that leave the bathrooms dirty with urine on the floor etc. Not sure what the airline can do about that during the flights. But for longer flights maybe a damp mop or something along those lines would be helpful.
Pros: I loved it.
Pros: the food was wonderful, the economy seats were comfy, and the service was superb. I really liked being able to watch movies and listen to music w/o a charge.
Cons: I was taken by surprise that I could not take my SLR camera on board as carry-on luggage and had to check it (they were doing this to everyone, not just me and it covered laptops, kindles, cameras, etc - everything electronic except phones). This was not done on the flight into Dubai. Also irritating was when I got to Boston, an Emirates guy cut open the packing envelope open and in the process, accidentally sliced the camera neck strap. He was, however, very apologetic and eagerly got me the info needed to submit a claim to Emirates.
Pros: Low cholesterol meal was quiet good
Cons: Seats on the 777 are very uncomfortable, even more we you have a flight as long as DXB->BOS
Cons: We have booked two tickets separately. One for me and the other for my wife and kid. But we were travelling together. When we checkin, we told we need the seats together. But, they did not give the seat together. Also, our connection time was 2 hours for the next flight. To receive the baggage in the port of entry, it took more than 1 hour 15 mins in the carousel. After that we had to clear customs, change terminal and clear security in 45 mins to catch the next flight. It was really tough for us. They could have handled the baggage little efficiently.
Pros: Hi nice flight
Cons: Honestly nothing perfect Airline Definitely I will use the Emirate at airline again and again
Cons: server told person asking to take away her tray that she did not have three hands
Pros: The plane was not full and I had three seats to myself, so my very positive review is not totally fair. However, on a relative basis in comparison to other airlines, Emirates is the best on which I have flown.
Pros: The entertainment options are excellent and legspace on the aircraft is good.
Cons: For a 14 hour flight there are no water bottles provided. You need more than the couple of cups of water provided on the flight, and it is not practical to keep on asking for more water from the crew. Quality of food (Asian veg) was not very good.
Pros: Comfy seats with good legroom, huge entertainment selection, free alcoholic beverages!
Cons: My connecting flight (booked through Emirates but operated by JetBlue) was inexplicably cancelled with 24h notice. Emirates did a good job finding me an alternative flight but somehow did not get my bags on my new flight even though the woman at the counter made a special call to "ensure" that my bags would come with me. Now I have to wait over 24h before I can get my bag.
Cons: I watched one movie, but the selection was pretty goo.
Cons: The crew hardly paid attention to request. I had to ping multiple times and wait for really long time to get a glass of water. I tried to get to the back, the crew dint even move to help us with anything. They sat together and were talking and dint even care to move. I have never seen this amount of careless attitude so far in emirates. Food quality has gone down quite a bit compared to my travel before.
Pros: A few of your flight crew were very nice and apologized for conditions. Free wine.
Cons: Pissed poor equipment, awful food if that's what you call it, cramped environment. And the fact that on both out going and incoming flights I had things stolen from the over head compartments.
Cons: Flight was delayed, 1 of my baggage was missed and due to that connecting flight from Boston to Newark was missed. There were no more flights to Newark so I was put up in flight to JFK after 3 hours of wait.
Pros: Staff is very attentive and always around. I am not a fan of instant coffee, but I got a cup of coffee when I asked for one outside of "meal times". The leg room is good, though I could still use a little extra.
Cons: I wish the crew asked all passengers to reset their seat upright when food is served. I am quite tall and having the person in front of me recline is uncomfortable at all times, but while eating, there just isn't very much elbow room. Also the temperature in the cabin is really too cold. The entertainment system uses a two-prong plug for the headset, which requires you to bring an adapter if you want to use your own noise-blocking headset or headphones.
Cons: need more movies boarding started before the stated date, told me to go to 3 separate counters to change my seat and it didn't even end up working out
Pros: I love the fact that the crew is quite so international -- and that they all wear small flag pins to tell you where they come from! They were very good with the children -- and I loved the fact tht they came round and took polaroid photos of passengers - particularly the families!
Pros: The flight and accommodations were wonderful during the flight. The accommodations during the layover were nice at the Boston Courtyard Marriott. Pam & Keith Schroeder
Cons: We waited in Dubai 3 hours for connecting flights to arrive because of fog. When we arrived in Boston, they told us we had missed the connecting flight to Detroit by 20 minutes and could not fly back until 26 hours later. We were disappointed that the $50 dinner voucher would not allow us to each have 1 alcoholic beverage. (We should have read the fine print...)
Pros: Aircrafts are new and good
Cons: The ground staff needs to be more co-ordial and friendly. Am not sure how they are hired but they appear very rude and dry throwing instructions. I travel a lot and in many airlines and whatever the case, staff members of other airlines smile, tell issues if any, suggest solutions and work on it. Emirates staff, it seems, does not know how to talk or smile.
Cons: Well Emirates left me 1 day in Boston and it wasn't my plan...Also Emirates front desk clerk tell my boyfriend he smell very hard to alcohol and maybe couldn't go in the flight and he didn't drink any alcohol.
Pros: Crew was awesome trying to make me everyone that was in the same area with baby crying as comfortable as possible.
Cons: Baby cried for 8 hrs out of a 13hr flight it was horrible.
Cons: There was a group of teenagers sitting in 8 seats in two of the middle rows right next to me. They spent the whole flight climbing all over the seats and each other. They were very loud, often banging into other passenger's seats, and leaving their stuff in the aisle where people were tripping over things as they walked by. They were really inconsiderate of other passengers - many of whom were trying to sleep on a 13-hour flight. It would have been nice if the crew would have told them to be quieter and more respectful of other passengers.
Cons: Could not get comfortable and (while it doesn't reflect on the airline) all the screaming children I could have done without
Cons: Can you enforce the team NOT to throw the luggage to keep on the belt(s) as you guys don't have to.
Pros: In flight crew were nice.
Cons: Had requested for wheel chair assistance but was denied saying everyone was " too busy". When the passenger stated she cannot go without help, the flight attendant helped her out and to a bus. She almost fell while getting on to the bus. Assistance was requested because of her poor eye sight on the left eye and issues with mobility because of that. Although I'm glad nothing bad happened, denial of assistance and making her feel concerned and speak for herself for someone to help could have been avoided if Emirates could keep their promised support. Very disappointed.
Pros: The crew were friendly.
Cons: The hand luggage compartment of the aircraft makes terrifying noises during turbulence like it is going to drop on one's head during the flight. It should be fixed.
Cons: I had an infant travelling with me and they gave a bassinet. When it was in use I was not able to use ICE on the flight because the way it was setup on my seat.
Cons: Again the same indifferent attitude by cabin crew towards student gustes and particularly females. I was sick on the fligt despite informing crew no care was taken. I lost one of my check inn bag airline is indifferent. No help or compensation.
Pros: Their wheel chair assistance was the best. They took care of my parents really well. Above all they were very welcoming and considerate towards their needs.
Pros: Both flights were amazing the service in both were excellent including crews too
Cons: Both flights were amazing the service in both were excellent they also cared for our feet with the token of sock to Rest our feet from Dubai to Boston the crews hostess exclusive to work with clients good staff
Cons: We were not able to print the online checking ahead of time, so we had to stand in a lot of very long lines. The person printed the wrong boarding passes because they didn't know many details about domestic and international flights. There was also confusion about checking in the luggage between the domestic and international flights. A boarding pass from Dubai to Ahembadvad was not given at the New York airport.
Pros: Crew very professional. Fare for flight very reasonable.
Cons: Had 90 minutes fr connection, 30 min delay so 1 hr left. Had to walk walk and walk for nearly 1 hr to barely make it. Airport is TERRIBLE in terms of going from gate to gate- loong walks with no moving walkways. Train is a joke covering very short distance. Once arrived in Boston, took 1hr before luggage started unloading, and then to find out our 4 bags didn't come at all. Staff on ground not courteous, wouldn't send bags to home town in Raleigh. Had to wait till afternoon to get the bags and then fly to final destination. Entertainment system very bad, audio/video stop and go, stop and go- really terrible (though notice some people's screens were working fine).
Pros: Food and entertainment seemed a bit upscale.
Cons: Young air hostesses with a bit of attitude. Wouldn't talk, just shake their heads in a weird way, to ask about what I wanted to drink or eat. None of my luggage made it.
Pros: EXCELLENT QUICK SERVICE. CREW WERE FRIENDLY & ALWAYS SMILING. KEEP IT UP.
Pros: on time and proice
Cons: food and seat
Pros: I like Emirates, and it was the first time that I flew Jet Blue. Jet Blue staff is friendly and helpful.
Cons: Doesn't seem to me that Emirates and Jet Blue are aligned. JetBlue does not recognize what my status is with Emirates, the layover was long without a lounge, you can not select your seat on Jet Blue through Emirates (this is a huge irritation!), you can't check in online through Emirates for the Jet Blue return trip, and the seat selection for Jet Blue was awful.
Pros: This airline is a dream.
Pros: Boarding and space were great because I paid extra for it.
Cons: One attendant seemed to be in training. Or perhaps she should've been. Everyone needs to learn but it doesn't boost your confidence in a flying experience when the crew member making the announcements keeps getting things jumbled.
Pros: After a tiring 14 hr stop over in Dubai, I boarded my flight to Boston from Dubai at around 3 in the morning. I don't know when I fell asleep because I did not even wake up for the takeoff. The crew let me be and when I did wake up 5 hrs later they provided me with something to eat because I had missed the meal served earlier. The even closed my window shade as not to have the early morning sun disturb me. I call that great service.
Pros: All was Good, no special negatives.
Cons: Not worth my time to comment.
Pros: the crew were so nice
Cons: not enough room between seats
Cons: Losing my bags after a canceled flight was not so nice when my thinks cost more than 1000 euro
Cons: It’s frustrating to not have the ability to select seats before arriving at check in counter when there’s really not much to choose from.
Pros: vegan sweeties for the kids, so nice as my daughter usually has to say no. Also swiss chocolate - so good! Our veggie meals booked hadn't gone through on the system but we were found some they had anyway - wasn't very nice though.
Pros: Everything aside from the food and cabin atmosphere.
Cons: Food and cabin atmosphere. The cabin felt very stuffy and warm.
Pros: The crew was good
Cons: Place for the legs and better food
Pros: The crew were very friendly.
Pros: האוכל והשירות מצוינים והטייסים מצוינים
Cons: מקום ישיבה צפוף מידי
Cons: Lost baggage
Pros: Best flight for a long time. great service and entertainment.
Cons: I was unable to order vegetarian meal before the flight. This also a KAYAK / VAYAMA issue - you can not pass the info about special meal to the airline and Swiss seems to require that you order through them in order to specify such details. You should improve this.
Cons: That it wasn’t a flight to denver
Pros: Good product
Cons: Seat had some problems, but the crew fixed it for me
Pros: The seats in exit row were large enough for me to straighten my legs
Cons: Very rude attendants. Also if you sit in the exit row they don’t let you put ANYTHING on your lap or by your feet, even a sweatshirt that you remove for a moment. I have never had this problem on any other airline.
Cons: I felt like a sardine.
Pros: Nice experience.
Cons: Seats are not so comfortable. Crew is nice, but not too nice
Pros: Problem free.
Cons: It was a great flight.
Pros: Arrived safe
Cons: Packed in like sardines on an overnight flight. Awful food. Cheap fair seemed like a bargain until you find out that you have to pay an extra charge for the dubious privilege of reserving a seat way back in the 34th row.
Cons: Space for legs seems to become smaller and smaller. In EL AL (flight back) space was wider.
Pros: Excellent food. Lovely service. Departure and boarding on time.
Cons: No entertainment at all. Very limited leg room
Pros: The staff was polait
Cons: No option to make zhek in No opthin for vegeterian The media in my seat didn't work
Cons: Ok, old plane.
Pros: Everything is great when flying Swiss. From online checkin to boarding and throughout the flight. Thumbs up to Swiss. Simply a delight.
Pros: The flight was smooth; Attendants were nice and everything worked according to schedule
Pros: Very comfortable and attendants were very attentive.
Cons: Checking in at the Tel Aviv Airport is an absolute nightmare! It is congested and disorganized.
Pros: Food was excellent and staff was friendy.
Cons: Wifi was expensive.
Pros: The Israeli crew on El Al were very polite and tried to help.
Cons: When we arrived to Swiss desk, after checking in at home including choosing seats, we were sent to El Al desk and had to start everything from the start. We couldn't even choose seats . It was a great disappointment. We don't think we fly in Swiss again
Pros: By far the worst experience I've ever had in my life. 1. A day after I perches a multi destination tickets I called Swiss air costumer service requesting to upgrade my tickets to business class. no one would even try to help me. They just kept saying I need to contact my travel agent. After 3 phone calls I gave up and decided to wait and upgrade my ticket at the airport. 2. In Prague the night before my second flight I hurt my knee real bad to a point that I couldn't walk at all. The next morning I call Swiss air costumer service again trying to explain them my situation telling them I can't fly and won't be able to make it to my flight. Costumer service cancelled immediately all of my remaining tickets and try to sell me new tickets for a full price. I said I don't mind buy and pay for the one flight I missed but there is no reason for her to re sell me the rest of my tickets that I already paid for, again. Then she start to change prices up and down like in a Chinese flea market. At that point I begged her to talk to a supervisor but she Kept ignoring my request and just try to negotiat for a lower charg she kept me on the phone for 5 hours. My hotel phone bill for that one call cost me 150€. I never got to talk to a supervisor but she took down the charge to 517$ Not included a new ticket flying out of Prague. 3. For my last flight going home. I showed up 2.5 hours Earlier. asking to upgrade my sit to business fin desk send me to talk to asupervisor. The supervisor was trying to process my request but didn't seem to know what he was doing at all. One minute he was on his computer then the next minute on the phone with Swiss air headquarter then back on his computer for more then 35 minutes with no resolute. I still had an hour and half before take off when he told me he can print me the ticket but it's to late now since the gate for my flight is close and I already missed my flight. I said that's impossible cause I still have an hour and half to my flight but he insist on the gate been close and there is no way I can get on that flight. Right away I run back to front desk asking them to print my ticket as fast as possible cause I would really like to get on that flight. In front desk they told me not to worry cause I got plenty of time to get on that flight. So I gave up on the business upgrade and told them that at that point I'll be just as happy to sit by the window. Of course they put me on the very end exactly in the middle. After the door was locked I looked around and saw plenty of free sits available including by the window. 4. In Zurich I finally managed to upgrade my last flight coming back to Tampa fl to business and noticed that the only way they could do that was by contacting Swiss air headquarter for approval. When I asked why is that since I fly a lot and never seen anything like that before one of the lady's there told how Swiss air left all of their front desk powerless and all decisions must be made by headquarters.
Cons: When we finally arrived in Tampa. It hook them an hour and a half to get are bags out. I honestly doubt I'll ever fly Swiss airlines again. Ever. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had flying. Ps the crew on the plain ware a lot nicer and more professional the people on the ground.
Pros: The new aircraft
Cons: Lavatory wasn't clean enough
Pros: Great flight crew and equipment. Courteous and helpful.
Cons: Rude gate staff who boarded economy and business all at once causing a 45 minute delay. Indifferent to passenger complaints and only had one boarding scanner for the entire flight. Slow and inefficient, and worst of all, unapologetic.
Cons: Don't like to wait for no one 30 min inside airplane
Pros: Everything was great :) food is good, crew is perfect
Pros: entertainment was fine
Cons: Everything was ok except that confusion we had while ticketing. Although we have been assigned on on carrier the flight was operated by a different one, which was not cleared in the purchase paper.
Pros: I fly this line often, SWISS is immeasurably better than ElAl. The planes are modern and include an in-flight entertainment system, the food is light years better, the staff more considerate and attentive.
Cons: Cervise was not so good was waiting almost 3 hours on check in
Cons: In order to board we were requested to line up at gate according to seating group. And then had to wait there in line standing for almost 45 minutes before we were finally told we could proceed to board. No reason for lining up so far ahead of time....and had to stand.....
Pros: Overall very pleased with the airline
Cons: The only complant I have is not enough leg room but the price was great so it was a compromise.
Pros: I liked the comfort of the aircraft and entertainment
Cons: That there was a delay which wasnt announced which meant i had to get through an new airport in a hurry for me to get connecting dublin flight. When i got to boarding gate everyone was boarding found this extetemly pressuring
Pros: the punctualty
Cons: little space betwwen the rows, bad food no entertainment and a very unfreindly crew
Pros: Flight was good and comfortable
Pros: I'm very satisfied with Swiss airline excellent service starting from the flight attenders very professional friendly excellent food .if I would recommend this airline absolutely 100%..
Pros: Great kosher food! Very kind attendants.
Cons: not enough foot room.
Pros: Everthing went as planned. Left on time. Cannot complain.
Pros: Crew was great. Very helpful because I needed assistance due to back injury.
Cons: Food was not very good.
Pros: Friendly flight attendants. Great food
Pros: The seats The crew
Cons: Delayed on two flights Too hot on the first flight despite a number of people complaining
Pros: Great food and drink options.
Cons: Due to special meals, food was quite delayed. Flight was also delayed so it was very tight to get to my connection.
Pros: Overall good value for the price paid. The service is great and friendly.
Cons: The entertainment system needs some improvement and upgrade.
Pros: The service and patience
Cons: Everything was great
Pros: Crew was excellent - friendly and helpful
Cons: Seats in economy too cramped - I paid extra for next seat up from basic economy which covered our baggage but, for some reason, not seats with more leg room.
Pros: The crew
Cons: The screen
Pros: The seating in upper class is unconventional and uncomfortable.
Cons: Reconfigure seating in upper class. We will no longer be customers for that reason alone..
Pros: Very friendly crew. The meals are good, nice variety. Hot food is hot.
Cons: Seats are not the most comfortable and sometimes the screen on the entertainment tv doesn't work that easily.
Pros: Crew was very attentive...food selection was excellent
Pros: Crew was super helpful and kind. Pesto pasta was the best airplane food I’ve ever had in coach.
Pros: Not crowded. Crew was good.
Cons: Not taking a bus to board the plane.
Pros: The crew were really nice and seemed to genuinely care about the passengers, were approachable and were very happy to chat with passengers and help them out.
Cons: The food options always seem to run out by the back of the plane and this time didn't match the menu they gave me at the start of the flight, not that I minded because the option I was given was pretty tasty.
Cons: Media screens are old and miscalibrated. Selection was decent. Food is probably average for the industry which to me is worse than fast food.
Pros: The boarding was fast.
Cons: For starters our cabin crew were the worst. The first service I had ask for a snack and no napkins. Dinner service was like just chucking food down in front of you. Then a stewardess looks me dead in the face and passed me for the drink service, then she said she thought I was asleep.
Cons: Poor communication about the reasons for our 4 hour delay. Also, we purchased Economy X, which should have given us priority boarding, but we were told we had to stand in the general admission queue.
Pros: Meals were excellent and plane was very clean. Economy delight is definitely an upgrade worth considering with extra leg room and space in front of you in general.
Cons: Boarding can get crowded so don't be in a rush
Cons: My bag was damaged in transit
Pros: Top crew very friendly and professional
Cons: Business class food was bizarre for breakfast - a Mexican taco??? Asked for eggs from economy to be back later up
Pros: modern comfortable plane, in flight entertainment was good, service was outstanding.
Cons: food was meh at best, seats in economy are tight and there is no legroom
Pros: Friendly staff, so much food/snacks were offered. Good movies available.
Cons: luggage never made it to Boston? Don't know who's fault it was.Problem was corrected.
Cons: Seatback TV is of the worst quality among airlines. They really need to upgrade those. They don’t nearly give enough beverage and water. The gate wasn’t announced till last minute. There was no group priorities when boarding. Process was chaotic. Food was meh. No internet.
Pros: The crew was pleasant and attentive
Cons: The entertainment system was not good. The touch screen was not calibrated and very hard to select and scroll through. The flight was over a hour late so we missed our connection. Got rebooked okay, but after traveling for 18 hours having to wait three extra hours was a drag.
Pros: The cabin crew were excellent!
Cons: I paid extra for Economy Delight seats for me and my wife. Shortly after take-off, our calm and comfortable more or less empty section of the aircraft was colonised by an extended family of Orthodox Jews in a kind of airborne West Bank situation. They weren’t in our section of the cabin at all to start with, and I don’t know why they were apparently able to get a free upgrade that I had to pay £100 for. We went from being in an almost empty cabin to being basically sat in the middle of an Orthodox Jewish kindergarten. It was awful! They were noisy, messy, were constantly getting in and out of their seats, the back of my seat kept getting kicked, and there was even a baby crawling around the aisle. We were surrounded. I have no idea whether this is characteristic of Orthodox Jewish family life, or just a completely inconsiderate family. They didn’t exactly ruin my flight, but they didn’t make it enjoyable either. I asked to be moved. The cabin crew were great and acknowledged the difficulty of the situation. My wife lost her window seat but at least we still had the legroom and peace and quiet.
Pros: Service and food are good. Crew very friendly and tries to please everyone.
Cons: Chair could be more comfortable compared to other seats who transform without turning over. Still - much much better than BA.
Pros: Good Service. Great attitude of flight attendants..early arrival. smooth flight.
Cons: despite purchasing 'extra legroom' seats, it was still very, very crowded and tight.
Cons: We haven’t possiblyty to check in online. Crew smell was terrible, ladies used some perfume, some people was allergic to it
Pros: Cool flight, mainly because it was empty. Good food
Cons: Seats weren't that comfortable. Entertainment sucked because the screen functions were terrible, very difficult
Pros: The crew was excellent. Flight was quite comfortable. Nice attention to service
Cons: I would have appreciated another round of hot drinks.
Pros: Virgin atlantic is the best airline with Dreamliner
Pros: Food, crew, entertainment great
Cons: Seat were very uncomfortable.. hard, not enough leg room and there was no way to sleep comfortably with the head rest that is set up so you can rest your head on it,but its awkward and hard an in the way...
Pros: I felt that they were very thoughtful about the fact that it was a long flight. We got two small meals, which was perfect, and even a little gift bag with a sleep mask and toothbrush and such in it. These were just a couple of the many nice touches included in the flight.
Cons: Very small quibble: the screen resolution, or maybe the contrast, of the personal video players was not so great. This was fine in most cases, but it meant I could not watch videos that had subtitles. Not a big deal but possibly worth fixing. Thanks
Pros: Did not take the flight in the end
Cons: My first leg flight was delayed and I booked through kayak on two different airlines and the first airline did not communicate with the second airline so 5 passengers ran to make the change and arrived 1 min after the jetbridge to get on the plane was pulled away. It was incredible frustrating and could have very easily been avoided with communication from the airlines
Cons: My headphones and those of my neighbors did not work.
Pros: The movie selections and comfortable headsets made it possible to watch three movies uninterrupted. The food selections were well prepared. Flight attendants were helpful and efficient.
Cons: Boarding is always a bit of chaos when our seats are right in the back. People further up insist on boarding early and block the aisles in the process. Multiple levels of passport control and baggage checkout are chaotic, but that's for most all flights coming into USA? VIrgin/Delta handled it well enough. By the time we got through passport control in Boston ur bags were waiting and we had no problems at all.
Pros: I liked everything, which is very uncharacteristic :)) At least compared to the big American carriers or the national European ones, VA is a gen - esthetically for sure. Clean, comfy, stylish! Will be my choice from now on.
Pros: Great seat. I did the upgrade and it was so comfortable ...good food.
Cons: They closed the shades immediately when we took off. Creepy
Pros: 1st class, what's not to like?
Pros: I liked the food and refreshments and the on flight entertainment was good..
Cons: I didn't like the boarding process.every other flight I've been on they board plane by rows.on this flight everyone was boarding at same time which was annoying and held up the boarding process..
Pros: The people at Check-in were fantastic - found out you have to check-in more than an hour before flight. They close an hour before to taking bags for international flights. Although right at an hour was late, they reopened for us.
Pros: Wifi worked very well
Cons: Jave to pay for everything on an overseas flight
Pros: Staff was friendly and welcoming.
Cons: There was nothing not to like.
Pros: The whole flight was great quick boarding, lots of leg room, good entertainment, a USB charge port, good lighting, and the crew was very nice and helpful. I enjoyed the flight and would like to fly Virgin Atlantic more. Finally, you are the 3rd best flight, I have ever take, and the 2nd best airline I've been on. Flew Business Class on Swiss Air once to Geneva (#1) and all the flights I have had with Porter Air are comparable to your airline, but the free cookies and beverages at Porter's terminal in Toronto wonderful.
Cons: A couple things went wrong on this trip, my checked luggage got misplaced for a day, and a nice women in baggage claim told me what was happening and a nice man handled my claim and my bag has now been returned to me. The bigger thing is my flight bas delayed taking off by 3 hours. Let me start that I would rather have a part replaced on the runway then not, safety is paramount. The fact is my flight took off 3 hours late from London (VS11), and got to my destination (BOS) 2.5 hours late. Kudos to the flight crew for getting me to my destination faster by gaining a little time. Plus, since BOSTON was my final destination it was all fine this time. But if I had had to get home to the elder person I take care of or my teenager it would been a problem. Again, I'm annoyed, but I do understand the reasons and they are valid and preferred. I have heard that airlines to keep their flight rating high, wait for planes to leave the gate on time and then do repairs on the tarmac. If this is still a SOP for airlines you should change the way the statistics are collected and figure out a way of not perpetuating this type of disincentive. This is just hypothesis on my part, and my whole trip had little negatives.
Pros: Virgin gave everyone meal vouchers to use at the airport during the 5 hr. delay. Also, they still offered a meal on the plane.
Cons: I couldn't get the inflight entertainment to work. I wish they would offer devices to borrow on the plane.
Pros: Great cabin comfort and entertainment. Very nice place to be.
Cons: Cabin crew less warm and professionally nice than Virgin. One point that needs addressing is that when the cabin crew or, even more so, the pilot came on the PA, the sound level was so much louder than that of the entertainment system. You had people jumping out of their seats and it was very uncomfortable.
Pros: Due to earlier late connecting flight into LAX, I assume, my bags didn't make it with me, and arrived two days late. But your man Fred from PNG Air was right there in POM Jackson's airport to take my information and somehow two days later I did receive the bags! Thanks! The flight itselfe was fine in every other way.
Cons: Maybe when I checked in for the last two flights if your check-in agents could've told me more clearly about where in the system my bags were, it would've been less of a surprise to find out in POM that they were not with me. I did ask, but got answers like 'we'll try to transfer them' or 'your bags are in the system', which were not too informative, but maybe as complete as those workers could ascertain, I don't know. I would've liked to be able to check in on line in advance for this and other flights on this trip, if you ever decide to open up that facility (without a charge), it would be appreciated.
Cons: I found the seats on this Virgin Atlantic A340 flight from LHR (London Heathrow) to LAX (Los Angeles), an eleven hour flight, to be unacceptable. The seats were very crowded. I am six feet tall, and was very uncomfortable all during the flight. I could not sit with my knees together. I had to spread my knees to sit comfortably. Holding that position for eleven hours was very uncomfortable. Anyone taller than me would have even more trouble. Also, every seat has a very large box underneath, I presume for the audio/video system. This is a terrible location. There is very little room to stow anything. But much worse, I couldn't straighten my right leg. All-in-all, I found the seat situation totally unacceptable. I will likely never fly Virgin Atlantic again because of this.
Pros: Major issue: No information in advance of problems associated with transfer at Heathrow that required going from Terminal 5 to Terminal 3-- requireing a lot of walking, stress, time and security checks.
Cons: My ticket was cancelled at the time I was standing in front of the airline counter to check my bag. I was so furious. The airline did not help me at ALL. In fact, they offer me to buy a brand new ticket at a new price!!!!!! I ended up re-bought the ticket from United airline as my husband has United card (chase) and we ended up paying over 1900 for the ticket that should have been about $911. The priceline number is not helping. I have trip insurance but no. nothing worked. I will never fly Virgin Atlantic again.
Pros: Virgin always provides the best, friendliest, coolest service!
Cons: The food is pretty low quality, but I understand the logistics constraints of feeding many people in a small space without kitchen facilities! Also the wine choices are superior to other airlines and I look forward to that. I normally plan ahead and bring my own meals whenever traveling by air.
Pros: Great service, comfortable and punctual
Pros: More leg room space in the economy space
Cons: I'm over 6 feet tall so the seat in the economy class I felt really uncomfortable.
Pros: all perfect
Cons: all was perfect
Cons: At the Istanbul airport an item was taken from me for no reason. No regulation was shown for that item to be taken. I wasn’t comfortable with the way I was treated at the airport. The flight was very good
Cons: Flights are not on time with random cancellations.
Pros: The Turkish Airline crew are treat you as guests not as customers.
Pros: Plenty of films.
Cons: Cabin was too hot.
Pros: It was a great flight.
Cons: The cabin temperature was a little warm
Pros: The cabin crews on Turkish work very hard. The food is well prepared ,
Pros: The service
Cons: No entertainment. Late boarding.
Pros: I have flown Turkish Air many times since 2010, and used to like the airline. Not so much anymore. I would say their entertainment center and food are pretty good.
Cons: They used to have an affordable Economy Premium option, now all they have are seats made for someone 5’5” 150 pounds. Anyone over 6’ can and will suffer greatly. I’m 6’4” and fly many of their 12 hour flights from LAX to Istanbul and have to sit sideways, until my back aches so bad I have to turn. They also keep their planes unbearably hot, which I have no idea why, making the trip in that cramped seat horrible. Their in between meals snacks consist of cheese sandwiches, and the attendants never come around with drinks or snacks. I also fly Singapore Air and Emirates and their service is subperb!
Cons: The crew on board was aloof, and somewhat rude. I was traveling with my 87 yr old mother and they did little to help, especially when we needed the restroom but they had the aisle blocked for most of the time, serving food. There was no way to get around to access the bathroom and the crew turned us away from the only available bathroom in the front. Really?! Not impressed at all. Also the flt was 30 minutes late making our connection tight. One of the young, gorgeous stewardesses was rude and dismissive of me when I asked about it.
Cons: Departed over 1/2 hour late making it necessary to make a mad dash for the next gate for the following flight.
Pros: I had heart surgery and they would not refund us the money Even after I got a note from my doctor that I would die on the airplane from the cabin pressure change they did not care
Cons: Nothing they suck
Cons: Long lines and very slow
Pros: I thought the food was excellent on both flights light , fresh and tasty. The seats were very comfortable and the staff very helpful. I was very happy with Turkish airlines.
Pros: Free meal and drinkd
Cons: Flight was delayed but we were not informed of what’s happening Too hot, air conditioning did not work
Cons: same, boarding crew was not friendly, and it took a while for boarding.
Cons: This’s the worse airlines that I ever use in my life, in my way back to Boston I get to the airport 2 and half hours before my flight, it was so crowded outside the door, so I didn’t get to check in till like an hour and 10 minutes, Guess what! They didn’t let me in because they close the gate they said?? They have me payed for another thicket to I take the next flight They are so weird, even when you called the customers service they will do nothing for you, like they don’t live in our planet!! Trust me stay away from this turkish airlines
Pros: Superb entertainment system
Cons: The flight back from Dublin to Istanbul was awful, it was crowded, very warm, no air to breath.
Pros: The actually flight was great- food and crew were very good and professional.
Cons: Turkish airlines in Istanbul this last trip was the most disorganized and rudest I've yet to experience. They were incredibly disorganized and unhelpful. It was 5am with hoards of people waiting just to go through a tiny security because they closed the entrance for international transfers. No lines and direction whatsoever. It took two hours just to go through simple sercurity. My flight gate, number, and info to Boston was not even posted on the departure screen so I almost missed my flight- I had to go multiple times across the airport to find anyone to ask. The employees were rude and unhelpful. They did not assist or direct anyone or any of the chaos and they were slow and lacked any understanding to people whose flight was ten minutes till take off. Really unimpressed and highly considering avoiding taking them again to the Middle East in the future.
Pros: Good schedules, short wait, nice and helpful personnel, on time, nice plane, bathrooms, good food
Cons: No air in cabin
Pros: Comfortable seat. Food acceptable.
Cons: Computers were down for more than 2 hours. I have a disability and I was told to seat and someone would come with a wheelchair when the problem would be solved. They completely forgot about me. When I saw that the people had boarded, I went to the counter asking for the wheelchair. They sent me to Egypt Air to request it. Of course Egypt Air said I was not their passenger, so I should request the chair to my airline. I tell the man from Egypt air to talk directly to his colleagues in Turkish Airways. He is angry and tells me he's doing me the favor of getting the chair even if it's not his job, so i should be very thankful. He requested the chair and sat me on it. Kept telling me I should be thankful to him, even if it wasn't his job. Turkish Airways never got the wheelchair for me and I have mobility problem but they tell me to get to another airline to get it! No entertainment originally in Spanish in any flights for Spanish speaking passengers.
Pros: Short flight-everything fine. Great plane.
Cons: Having to pay for internet if you want to use it. The way Israelis queue at the airport, leaving no room between you and them...too much pressure. Strange 'breakfast".
Pros: I was upgraded to buisnes class :)
Cons: Every thing was ok
Pros: Awesome service, comfy business cabin!
Cons: Boarding in Istanbul and Tel Aviv was chaotic, no business class boarding. Checking laptop in Istanbul was inconvenient. Lounge Istanbul was awesome however way too crowded to fully take advantage of it. Also should control people and what they takfor food. The lines were long and people would literally pile their plates with massive amounts of food, take it to their seat then leave it. Fix the lockers and add more, they are a wonderful asset but I was not able to take advantage of. Consider limiting access to manage crowds.
Pros: The tv because I got to watch a couple of movies
Cons: The crew did not know what they were doing. My grandmother needed a wheel chair and the lady who took her did not allow any of us to stay with her , mind you my grandmother can't speak English. The lady also told us that she didn't need the passport or her boarding pass ??? Because of that my grandmother almost got lost , we had to wait for her for an eternity. She got very scared and very upset for what you guys did . She is an old lady and it was one of her worst experiences of her life
Pros: We liked being in Exit row and the food and service
Cons: On way over BOS-->IST the seats were the closest together I have ever had. Exit row video screen support arm did not hold in place
Pros: Exceptionally nice crew, outstanding amenities, best food I've ever had on an airplane. I especially liked having the option of traditional Turkish fare.
Cons: The boarding process could have been more organized. I had a business class ticket and could not find the priority boarding line. The first ground crew member I asked was abrupt and sent me to the back of the long line. I caught the attention of a different crew member and he motioned me to the front of the line--it was a little awkward saying "excuse me" to each person that I passed. (I am not used to being a priority passenger!) Once my documents were cleared and my carry-on was inspected at the gate, it was not clear whether to take a seat or to go somewhere else.
Pros: Crew was nice and courteous.
Cons: I'm 2.05m tall, and had no leg room or an exit seat. These seats should be saved for these specific occassions, which made the flight uncomfortable.
Pros: LOVED the attention that was given to passengers that wanted/needed rest.
Cons: Looked into purchasing 1st class because flight was 10hrs & it was insanely expensive. The poor peoples cusions need some up dating, they are uncomfortable & worn.
Pros: The crew were amazing.. very helpful and accommodating! The food was also 5 stars, and the entertainment was great! Enjoyed every minute of it!
Cons: Boarding was not really done according to groups A, B, etc, but it was only a small holdup.. really nothing much at all :) Comfort was great, although a little more leg room might have been nice. But again, not a really big deal!
Pros: Crew was top notch , food was great, loved the hot towels you get to freshen ourselves with, crew friendly and very patient. Loved that flight wasn't full and the three of us could spread out and be as comfy as possible.
Cons: Very late 1.5 hours leaving JFK on way to Istanbul causing us to miss our connecting flight to Tel Aviv. Arriving almost 2.5 later in the evening.
Pros: The lost my 1 checked bag of luggage somewhere between tel aviv-istanbul-frankfurt!! Filed a report at Frankfurt Airport but it was filled with all my essentials and some valuables and the airport staff didnt seem to concerned in helping me.... To clarify, my experience through Kayak has been fine! However this whole ordeal has left a very sour taste in my mouth...i still dont have my luggage. They couldnt track it l yet....maybe you can help or forward this message to the appropriate authority. It is extremely important to me :/ Thanks, I still like kayak :) -addam rhodes
Cons: See literally everything above
Pros: Things that I liked I expected - we take it for granted: crew must be polite, boarding - efficient, leg room is normal.
Cons: Even in business class leg room is not ample, aircraft seems to be quite old, inside is well scoffed and scratched, my foot rest couldn't be raised or extended, no personal ventilation, temperature is interchangeably too hot or too cold, movie choice is far from awesome
Pros: Electronics confiscated from passengers (all passengers, no profiling or consideration for who is dangerous and who is not, which is NOT WHAT I LIKED, I hated it, this political correctness, so everyone "suffers the same", while bad guys still have all the freedom to do terrible things. It is not a security, it is a stupid put on!) but at least our electronics were carefully packed and delivered to Boston. It took whole hour afterwards to retrieve them!!! Terribly inefficient.
Cons: Stupid, completely idiotic security, caused, of course, by our completely idiotic president Trump rulings, but... Turkish air workers took this stupidity up to an unseen levels. I fight stage 4 cancer, it requires timely medicine. I was not allowed to take on board several critical supplements because they were either in powder, granulated or liquid form (all in their original medical packaging), my custom made crocheting hook was labeled as a dangerous weapon and I was not allowed to take it on board either, so I had no means to alleviate my air flight anxiety. they were going to confiscate and throw it away. Cold "sorry for your loss" was their only reply. They tried to scare me by calling police. Extremely impolite personnel. It took almost two hours, when TA security threaten that I won't fly, to make them pack this little darn crocheting hook together with my iPad. Funny that food on board comes with real metal silverware, forks and knifes included, which are far more convenient and dangerous if I was to use it as a weapon in comparison to a hook (3 inch wooden handle and 1 nah of a metal shaft ending with a small blunt hook, thin - size 2). TA said they provide us with free wifi to compensate for confiscated electronics. I was not able to connect to that wifi all flight long. Movie selection is below mediocre, little choice, practically no quality. Food is bad - not appropriate for my condition at all, but of course I can't bring on board cancer-appropriate food - security labels it as a threat to passengers. No leg room at all for a medium-built lady like myself, can't imagine what thicker or taller people do to survive 9+ hours flight, seats do not recline, pull out tables are of terrible quality- very unstable, so food and drinks fall off even without turbulence, just because of no leg room our knees are always interfere with these flimsy tables. With a comfort and restrictions like I had tickets must cost not a penny over a bus or metro ride, not hundreds of $$. It took about two hours to get my suitcase too - they said our luggage had to go through a second inspection before it gets onto baggage carousel. All in all, I will avoid TA for long flights by all means. Never again. They were an huge downshift to my perfect vacation. I had to go to an emergency treatment today because of the way TA treated me yesterday. Unfortunately, I can't measure how much yesterday's abuse advanced my disease, I am disturbed and frustrated enough to go to court to bring a suit against... yet again, those imbeciles from security do have a good alibi - their actions were triggered by US government regulations.
Cons: I flew from Tel Aviv and upon arrival went through security so I could proceed to my departure gate. Then at the departure gate a whole new round of security. There was a priority line, but for some reason I didn't get in it, although I fly business. The line was not that long but it just did not move. And the a/c was not working. Worst boarding experience ever and I've been flying for over 40 years. When I boarded finally I asked if I could give a review and although they said yes- nothing. So I hope someone who cares sees this.
Cons: I was shocked when we landed in Ataturk and the sleeve was attached to the plane we had to get down to the ground from the middle of the sleeve. We were taken to the terminal by bus!! After the sleeve was already attached! I can understand when you are in some small airport or flying with low cost airline. But it's Turkish airlines in their home airport! Really disappointed.
Pros: I enjoyed that it was a new plane.
Cons: Given that I have multiple sclerosis, I did not appreciate having to go up a set of steep steps in order to get onto the plane..
Pros: Add good airline to Atlanta to eu
Pros: Flight delayed 11.5 hours...not their fault, but there was no communication from Turkish Airlines as to what was happening.
Pros: Impressive design of the cabin, especially the extra large WC. Wonderful staff. Food was exceptional and plentiful.
Cons: Need a bit more leg room in economy. The seat width and cushion was excellent, but when the person in front of me reclined, I could barely get out of my seat.
Pros: Wonderful food and service and movies.
Pros: Service Good Clean On time
Cons: Price is high
Pros: Crew was very nice though took very long to clear after meal. I love flying with Turkish Airlines on my business trips I guess August is not the best time ..
Cons: Flight was very full yet boarding was done with bus not a walk trough gate Screaming children and loud parents made the short fligh literally a nightmare. This is not in the airline control unfortunately yet impacted badly on my flight experience.
Cons: I asked for sugar 3x before finally getting it (1 hour), but by then the coffee was cold and I had to request a new one and wait another 10 mins :)
Pros: came home with 2 broken bags, hard to talk to anybody, emailing back and forth since then to replace them, so far offered much cheaper bags and om top of this, a lot of paper work needed to claim those 2 cheaper replacement !!!
Cons: very tight seats for 12+ hours across Atlantic flight, old planes, somewhat unfriendly attendants.
Pros: Food Entertainment Comfortable seats
Cons: Crew should be more responsove to issues it took them 1h to solve my issue!!!
Pros: I am not a picky person to me every thing was great taking into consideration that you cant satisfy every one.
Cons: Not every one can follow the speed of the way you announce things, remember your flight take people from different continents in the world Also not having some where to sit while waiting for the information of which gate to go it is very challenging. The AC was almost killing the older people not me but the older lady sat next to me complained all the time but it didn't work. I know it is the challenge difficult to solve however you can give them some advise. Find a private space to talk with sick people because some people might not be comfortable to talk in front of every one.
Cons: Food offering
Cons: The pancake was not cooked enough couldn’t eat it
Pros: The flight was relatively on time and the crew was nice
Cons: The food was not the British Airways high quality
Cons: Didn't make it to this flight due to problems described in aforementioned flight (madrid to London). Was stranded in London overnight.
Pros: great crew great seats great entertainment great pilots great food and the greatest airline in the world
Cons: free wifi
Cons: Service far exceed my expectations, seats were superior to anything I've every experience flying domestically in the US.
Pros: Great !
Cons: Kosher meal a bit hard to open
Pros: Nothing particularly
Cons: Food was awful
Pros: Nothing. Flight attendant throws the tray of food all over me. Never apologize Worst flight ever I'm a Gold Frequent Flyer. No more!!! Good Bye British Airways Hello Cathay Pacific!
Pros: we buy the tickets from kayak and reconfirmed with British Airways is that we allowed to have one suitcase of 23 kilo checked in for each person . would get to their products and we paid 180 US dollars for the read suitcases we have . I didn’t mention kayak to give me the 180 us dollar back
Cons: we buy the tickets from kayak and reconfirmed with British Airways is that we allowed to have one suitcase of 23 kilo checked in for each person . would get to their products and we paid 180 US dollars for the read suitcases we have . I didn’t mention kayak to give me the 180 us dollar back
Pros: The attitude of crew long ques for toilet
Cons: Long queues for toilet
Pros: Flavor was fine
Cons: Out of 6 special vegetarian meals provided on 4 recent flights, all were pasta. One main meal of pasta even had A SIDE of pasta salad.
Pros: I slept. Pillow, blanket, clean disposable headrest cover Food was decent Way above average crew.
Cons: Long boarding process. Broken headphone jack.
Cons: Not enough legroom. Seats with more room are priced 100€ more, as if we should be paying for being a bit taller. Again, too cold. One or two degrees up would have been comfortable. The entertainment system is a bit clumsy and has odd choices. SAS planes are better in that department for example.
Pros: Service, clean restroom, courtesy of crew members
Pros: Seating quality was good Crew was fine
Cons: They could be better, friendlier
Pros: Comfortable seat and ample legroom. Drink before takeoff.
Cons: The uncertainty of whether I would have a seat at all.
Pros: I am very glad BA have bought their food service back from the brink. A big improvement.
Pros: Very comfortable seating on a 747
Cons: It was all great!
Pros: My upgrade.
Cons: That I needed to be searched again before boarding the plane. The long layover.
Cons: the flight delayed a lot and i missed my connection flight as a result
Cons: On the flight from Barcelona to Boston we almost missed a connecting flight because of many steps to get from one plane to another an long lines at every One has to allow at least 3 hours to transfer from one flight to another
Pros: Flight was on schedule
Cons: Food was poor Service was mechanical non personal
Pros: Much more space than on American Airlines,
Pros: The flight was smooth from boarding to landing early at Heathrow.
Cons: It was a fully booked flight, which means the person next to you tends to overflow into your seat
Cons: I paid 100$ because I had to cancel my request. It was a technical error of your reservation system which unexpectedly changed my return from the 5th of November to the 6th of November. The fine was unfair and you're required to refund me.
Pros: The flight attendants are very helpful and accommodating. Even the food was good! Took a pic of my meal and wanted to ask for seconds!
Cons: Couldn't get overhead light to shut off.
Cons: There was a 7H delay, the food was not good
Cons: Entertainment was difficut to navigate and limited
Pros: On time, fast baggage return. Dinner (herbed chicken) was very tasty. Generous drinks
Cons: Pre-arrival snack was just chips or candy bars, after a 7+ hour flight.
Pros: The usual competent BA experience.
Cons: The main meal was a mess. They ran out of the pasta option way too early. Then the tray was covered in useless extras - such as salad dressing (unlabelled, but that's what it looked like) and lime pickle, when the starter was a potato salad that already had a sauce and the main was pasta with tomato sauce and broccoli. They should cut out the extras and spend the savings on better starters and mains.
Pros: comfy seat Nice head side support Nice service Professional crew and pilots - especially the very informative and genial pilot on flight 203
Cons: Website better now, but still clunky and cranky to use. Hard to find flight status info OUTRAGEOUS To charge for seat selection on a $1000+ ticket!!! App useless-- did not work for flight status checking BA VERY poor on updating us on flight delays: Kayak informed us of delays by email, not a peep from BA. Hard to set up flight notifications. Boarding process completely baroque: With 6 different priority statuses, should we be in this line or that if we have x status, but are flying this class. Comically absurd.
Pros: The dinner on the cross Atlantic flight was good. Crew was nice
Cons: I'm a senior citizen trying to stretch funds to travel -- paying extra for an early seat assignment is not in my budget. Logging in 24 hours ahead to get a seat was incredibly inconvenient--I happened to be in a museum and without WiFi. (It could have been in the middle of the night or on a connecting plane.) I then had trouble entering all the required data and was finally told I had to wait 24 hours to try again-- that made no sense because I had to be on my flight 24 hours later. As a senior citizen who struggles with using the internet, it is particularly difficult. PLEASE let people choose a seat when making a reservation WITHOUT charging extra.
Pros: Crew is very helpful, friendly and attentive
Cons: Long delay sitting at Heathrow - not the fault of the airline, but discouraging. Seats are tight.
Pros: Quick, smooth flight
Cons: Landed over 40 mins ago and still waiting to get off the flight.
Pros: Movies Food Wine
Pros: Boarding was good and flight was on time. Crew were polite and attentive. Food was okay too.
Cons: No leg room and as usual I had an uncomfortable 6 hours with my legs jammed against the seat in front. Having spent $900 on the flights I am not going to pay another $81 for the 'upgrade'. Also, even as a slim person, the seats are crammed together so we all knock elbows and I am disappointed that all the airlines continue to reduce space. Arrival at Logan, Boston was a nightmare...2 hours to get through passport control, customs and baggage pick up. Don't fly into Boston at 9pm Saturday night! I flew outbound with AerLingus and the leg room was better so I will look to fly with them next time.
Pros: flight crew were very friendly and mostly helpful, except when they could not locate my meal, and i ended up getting about half of what the other diners got.
Cons: boarding seems intent of creating class divisions. it may be useful for profitability, but it seems quite weird in today's world. food was significantly worse than the food on another flight i had taken the same day, delhi to london. seats are a bit janky and we had problems with the seat ahead reclining too much and not being able to be held upright.
Pros: Once I was actually at a boarding person to be checked in, the process was quick
Cons: Announcement was made to all passengers inn rows 20-40 or so to line up, which we did. Then, we were told only priority passengers were to be boarding. Priority passengers asked where their linne was, and a BA crew member snappishly answered "where the sign says Priority". The sign wasn't able to be seen, and these passengers shouldn't have been faulted for BA's ineptness. After being checked in, I asked an another BA agent where to go. Upon arriving at the aircraft, I was rather frostily told "you're onn the wrong level" and pointed to the stairs. I let them know that I was on the 2nd level due to the direction of the BA staff. My seat space was reduced to a mere 12" when the passenger in front of me abruptly reclined his seat all the way back.
Pros: Every thing was in time Service was good
Cons: Not enough room to sit or eat The salmon dish was not good in my opinion
Cons: Since 1st flight was extremely delayed due to stupidity of staff unable to get head count of passengers, the BA system rebooked my 2nd flight which should hve not happened because I made it to my original flight prior to gate closing AND that flight was delayed anyways so I made it in plenty of time to make it yet my seat was taken from me and then boarding started. And I have to state WHY this BA flight was delayed - because they "had problem getting the catering on board" thus missed runway time. Anyways, since I was rebooked I went to my new gate, waited many hours to hve another issue, where they couldnt find my new seat in system and changed, and again flight was delayed this time due to having a flat tire... Common BA, seems your quality dropped 99%.
Cons: Too many announcements over the intercom. Better to say 'hi' at the beginning and then only use the intercom to announce turbulence/etc.
Pros: The crew, they were very friendly and responsive when my seat equipment was found broken
Cons: My seat equipment was broken so there was no film for a long flight.
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The timing and amount of meal/snacks was more than sufficient. The dinner was pretty tasty!
Cons: Nothing out of place as far as I could tell.
Pros: I love Itsu restaurant in Heathrow. Healthy, ready and cheap! Get the Heathrow card & get points (although they take 7days to post!) There are also good shoe sales in the airport at christmas season.
Cons: Heavy fog on London pushed my Nice-Heathrow 2h from even taking off, so they knew and could plan on coordinating the delay. yet, they didn't even delay the Heathrow-Boston flight 5minutes (surprised it kept its spot in the supposed heavy fog for take off). One thing that made matters worse on each way was that Heathrow has a mandatory security check in the middle of a flight connection even if you don't go out of the airport and don't want to check England. This wastes a lot of time in transfers, prevents people from carrying liquids they might have acquired, and makes tired passengers wait in line for another 1h or more, and get themselves in those machines, which is very frowned upon to opt-out of. I like the food on BA in general - good quality meat without tendons or too much fat, and overall nicely cooked. However their strength is in Indian food, and they should limit English food to 1 token per tray (mince pie ok, but the bitter coleslaw was inedible and sometimes we just need direction as I am just realizing now what the cotted curd was for: the minced pie). Not a horrible experience, but with 5h20 arrival delay, you'd think they'd offer me more than $6 for lunch! Finally, I hated having to wait in a random place until 1h before my flight and then dropping everything I was doing to run to my gate last minute.
Pros: This flight was very empty, which made for quick boarding and a comfortable journey. We were on time and luggage came out promptly. Overall a really easy flying experience (despite a bit of turbulence).
Cons: The pasta dishes continue to be uninspiring, but at least the dessert was tasty! Also, my last BA flight had outlets for personal electronic devices, which this did not - I would have really appreciated having a way to charge my laptop and keep working.
Pros: The Service. The Attention
Cons: The Food.
Pros: The crew members were all courteous and helpful. It wasn't too cold. The journey back to Boston was not too crowded so that it was possible to relax.
Cons: The food was absolutely atrocious. There was not one thing that was even remotely edible. Even the bread was cold and hard. It was abominable, as it always is, in my experience on BA. Even worse than American Airlines and that is really saying something. If there had been some crackers or nuts or cheese, or something like pretzels, it would have been nice. The effect is that British Airways looks stingy and upholds Britain's old and actually outdated reputation of being absolutely terrible at food. The entertainment was not working on the seat that I was sitting in, except for some awfully old TV programs from a million years ago. I tried to listen to the music but it was terrible quality. On the seat next to me the entertainment was available but very difficult to navigate and the screen was snowy/blurry. The reading light was positioned so that it was very uncomfortable to read by it.
