The staff especially in Chicago where we began this awful experience couldn't care less about our situation. Then AIr France lost our luggage and provided no help in locating them. Cons: I was apparently "flagged" by British Airways for extra security checks. As I understood it in London, I was randomly selected for this security check. This then apparently meant that I was to be flagged for all subsequent flights. This meant that in Chicago, after going through two other security checks that day (Zurich and London) and completing customs, I had to engage in a full Homeland security check. This involved removing protective covers from my laptop and phone that were hard to get off (not meant to be taken off regularly) and a full body search that I did not have to do in London. After many hours of traveling, this was very a frustrating experience.
Pros: It started with a 2 hour delay. Then, when the plane finally got to Orlando, there was a smoke alarm going off. We had to wait another 30 minutes for that to be fixed. Then when we got on the plane there was a issue with the baggage and we sat again for another 30 minutes

They sat there and watched me for an hour not telling me I could not use cash to check in my luggage at the gate after they told me it was double the amount to check it in at the gate. She said “it is confusing”. I did not buy the ticket because it was for an unexpected funeral of my sister. My other sister did so I didn’t see all the stuff from Travelocity. After telling me it would be $50.00 the check in male and female at the gate saw me sitting there for an hour and never told me I couldn’t pay cash. By the time it was boarding time if a nice woman did not offer to use her credit card and I have her the $50 cash I would have missed my flight. The manager at the gate in Portland even told me I would miss my flight. The two check in staff at the gate said “well we didn’t know you only had cash” and they weren’t even concerned that I was going to miss my flight. It would of been nice of them to tell me this when I sat there for an hour after they told me They we’re doubling the price. I would of had time to go back through security, only pay $25.00 and the other nice passenger would have not had to use her credit card. Very rude and poor service especially after a sad occasion of burying your sister!

Cons: newer touch screens were great except viewing angle couldn't be adjusted. standard food was horrible, esp for an international flight; not sure if specialty diets have better meals. kid movies were dubbed into many language options but Chinese was not one for ANY kid films. bathrooms with the same crappy mini sinks that you can't really wash your hands in, esp if someone pukes in it. they should all learn from Japan's ANA airliners with the motion sensor sinks with faucets raised up high enough for you to wash your hands without touching the gross basin.

But that flight was delayed twice because of mechanical problems: the first time we had to go back to the gate and the second time we stayed on the runway just before take off Not enough room in overhead bins. They asked people to check small suitcase or bag.

Cons: Flight delayed by 5 hours last minute, making my layover 17 hours long. The delay caused my car rental place to give away my reservation so I had to wait an additional 2.5 hours to get a rental car. The primary reason for my travel was a wedding and although I made the actual wedding, I missed most of the pre-wedding activities that I had rsvped for. The seats were really uncomfortable, particularly the lack of low back support. I was very sore after the flight and was unable to sleep despite having been awake for over 24 hours prior to the flight. We were finally given meal tickets but was unable to use as everything closed at 10pm.

Cons: The aircraft was downgraded, so there were 12 "overbooked" seats. The flight was delayed several times, with each new delay only being acknowledged after the previous departure time had already passed. Eventually, the flight was "delayed" to 3:15, but then it was bumped BACK to 2:45, so one woman ended up missing the flight because she had gone to the lounge based on the 3:15 departure. I accepted a voucher, but as the original flight kept getting delayed and I couldn't receive the voucher until the doors closed, I almost missed the flight I was rebooked on. If airlines would just communicate better (e.g., tell us there's a delay *before the departure time has passed*), people would be much more willing to deal with the hassle.
Pros: The flight boarded really quickly with absolutely excellent service from the flight crew. The pilots and crew were so considerate, and helpful. They totally took care of all of us. From the time I got on to the flight to the time I got off the crew were there to make sure I was taken care of.

Cons: Seats were tight in basic coach. As typical at CDG airport (other than the government subsidized Air France facilities), check-in and security is a nightmare. Clearly the worst airport in the world.

A fresh sandwich would be so much better (with add your own may/mustard) The air freshener from the bathroom was so strong that I was nauseous the whole flight. We were at least 8-10 rows away from the restroom. It sprayed about every 20 minutes. My tv screen didn't work. Made it a long flight. No one else around me had that problem

Cons: The desk does not open until two hours before your flight. Our flight was canceled, 10 minuets before boarding .... with no recourse we were booked on the next day. It took the airline 3 hours after the cancelation to get out luggage back. When we finally got out, the next day, our flight was delayed and we almost missed our connection. Every one who was trying to make the same connection said that every time they fly Air Canada they are always running. We needed up being the last ones on the plane.... they gave away our seats so we were separated for 12 hours. And shoved into corners!!! Our bags made it two days late.

Pros: You fly a beautiful plane, the Boeing 787. Excellent entertainment, more comfortable seats, and just about everything on this plain was upgraded. It is a case study of how to do things right. The most impactful for me was air humidity. It was refreshing to fly and not feel like I've been in the Sahara desert at high noon. So, your starting point is really high, but you really need to look at your service.
Cons: our flight was 40 minutes late in departing TLV. My connection in Toronto then was changed to a later flight, which was then delayed too by 50 minutes. all in all a 14 hour flight with connection ended up being close to 18 hours. My biggest two complaints about the flight itself is the food & the toilets. Your meals are the worst I've had in a major airline, and you should not serve customer frozen of close to frozen bread or sandwiches. If you are serving rolls, sandwiches or pitas, or bagels heat them up first. El-Al has been doing it for decades, go look at how they do it. But besides the bread/sandwiches issue, your meals are a really bad version of frozen supermarket meals. Just terrible all round. The other complaint is the bathroom. It was not cleaned frequently enough.
Pros: Tel Aviv security is confusing and time consuming but Air Canada helps you make it through. Flight is on a comfortable new airplane with gray movie selection. Two full meals and a snack provided.

Cons: Departure delay of 3 hours from Tel Aviv. Unruly Haredim should be left on the ground in Toronto, not in London. Food voucher was usable at only one outlet, and Burger Ranch is a greasy spoon. Would more choice be too difficult to organize?

An Airline rep was already waiting for me out of the terminal, with tickets for a new flight the next morning, a ticket for one night at one of the airport hotels(dinner included) and meal vouchers for the airport. This would have never happened with any US based airline.

Cons: The flight was delayed about an hour and a half, only after some time at the gate they explained it on the mic.I had a connection flight, and before landing they mentioned there will be agents helping those with upcoming connections to catch them up due to the delay, but those people just pointed me in the general direction of the gates. I had to ran all over the airport, confused after the terrible long flight, and since it was my first time there. I made it at the last second, they changed my seat without my permission and didn't have enough room for my bag so I had to check it. The general attitude of the crew was reluctant at best.The food was mediocre, like what you would have gotten in a flight 10 years ago, and they gave beef to people who asked for chicken. I wanted to be more cool about it, but it was a terrible flight in every Aspect, and I never even got an apology or a follow up.

Very confusing to get around in. And having to fill out custom papers for Canada when I wasn't staying in Canada or leaving the airport. Didn't like that. But the service of Air Canada makes up for the airport, I would use their service again.

Plane very small,tightly seated in back row without ability to recline, directly across from bathroom in which the door kept flying open and a women emerged to state some issue with toilet.

It was unreal how cold it was. People kept asking the staff to turn the A/C down, to no avail. I couldn't wait to get off that flight.

Cons: The plane was overcrowded. Seating was extremely uncomfortable and much too narrow. I am a relatively thin person but the person to my right was large and kept on pushing into me during the entire flight. Plus it took us over an hour and 30 minutes before we left the airport because we had to wait until the entire plane off boarded before a wheelchair could be brought for my wife. After the wheelchair was brought and we picked up our luggage, (2 bags), which by the way were the last 2 on the carousel, there was only one line through customs for people with special needs. By the time we left the airport I spent at least 45 minutes trying to find the cab which had been sent from Rochester, NY to pick us up and when I finally found him he wasn't allowed to stop in the taxi lane to pick us up in the taxi lane because he wasn't an authorized cab in spite of the fact that I told the security person that my wife was in a wheelchair and the weather was close to 0 degrees celsus and it was snowing.
Cons: 1. I ordered kosher meal, and we haven't because it finished. 2. The flight was full I couldn't findo a sit with my kids. I sit separately.

The 12 hour flights both ways were comfortable and enjoyable.
