Cons: "where should i start? my flight was delayed leaving NC to ATL. after standing in line for over an hr trying to speak to someone about the issue. i was notified on my phone i could keep my current flight or rebook of course i wanted to keep my current flight since it was my birthday weekend. i then called delta (in nc) for help since they told us we wouldnt make our 1030 flight and we might have to stay in a hotel that night until we could rebook the flight. not cool! i was told by a person (in nc)about what i should do once landed in ATL. they were beyond rude. they turned their backs or gave half answers. when asked about the hotel for the night they told me they werent going to handle that and i had to pay for a hotel AFTER i was just told by a delta agent that if i had to stay overnight my hotel was going to be covered. i then again called a delta agent in ATL after being informed that my status on the stand by list wasnt activated and i had less than 10 mins to make it to the next terminal and try to get activated and i would probably not get onto that flight to leave ATL. we were told that we had to stay in the terminal that night. my whole trip could have been ruined from the start from the flight being delayed in NC to talking to rude delta agents in NC and ATL. my flight status being one thing and then finding out it was something else. i never had to deal with something like this."

Cons: "1- 2 hour delay in Atlanta, 2- Missed my RJA international connection from JFK, 3- My luggage was not delivered to me by Delta in New York. 4- Had to spend one night in a NY hotel, and pay $185 for it, and I was told that Delta doesn't pay for the hotel because the delay was caused by New York Air Traffic Control. 5- After Delta re-booked me on Air France the next day, I made it to Amman, Jordan a day late without my luggage; which arrived another day late."

Cons: "Gate attendant was fairly rude (could be a result of holiday travel stress) - several travelers didn’t speak English fluently, and she would snap at them or roll her eyes they weren’t comprehending instructions. Boarded extremely early (almost an hour) but sat on tarmac for some time - eventually took off about 20 minutes late. Not airlines fault and likely result of holiday backlog Retrieving baggage from plane was biggest issue - use a carry on to but was required to valet bag as opposed to storing overhead. Baggage unloading was late (again, holiday backlog) but no personnel were available to inform passengers of delay, and bags were not in initial cart. Resulted a delay of offloading by roughly 20 minutes. Was ultimately found in the second wave of luggage, and witnessed baggage handlers tossing luggage carelessly onto cart floor. Nothing was damaged but was annoyed at lack of communication and overall disorganization."

His phone rang several times while the flight attendant was going through the safety procedures right in front of us. This was after the announcement came that all electronic devices where to go into airplane mode. The flight attendant did not do anything and seemed to ignore the phone that kept ringing. The gentleman was even talking on the phone while the flight attendant was going through the safety procedures. Later while landing an announcement came over that we were to return to our seats, close all tray tables, and seats ts in the upright position. At this point the gentleman sitting next to me leaned his seat backwards. The flight attendant passed by the gentleman at least three times and never said anything about his seat back. Evidently this flight attendant did not care to do his job properly."

Pros: "The pasta coming out of Frankfurt that was served on the plane was actually phenomenal I have never had that kind of cheese spaetzle in an aircraft before absolutely excellent. The desert choice of the crumble tart was also very good. The roll was cold as usual in economy class. The rap served as pre arrival meal was also very good. This was by far the best food I have ever had and economy class I have never encountered this food traveling from the US to Europe but traveling back from Europe the food is often better. This one was phenomenal."
Cons: "Selecting the entertainment choices was very very sluggish to the point where I just discontinued trying to find a show to watch. On both flights, going to Frankfurt and then returning from Frankfurt those international flights, the video or entertainment was very slow to select. I also noticed in some seats it wasn't working or people also just gave up. I did however like the fact that some shows we're closed captioned, that is really helpful because sometimes it is difficult to adjust the sound to to be able to clearly hear the conversations in the movie. Subtitles definitely help. I wish all of them had subtitles. The boarding is okay and I understand all the emeralds and rubies and platinum's Etc, but sometimes by the time group for get seated there's not always enough room in the overhead compartments because people tend to put all their bags their. And some people still take oversized bags that should probably be checked this is quite a nuisance."

I got to the airport 2 plus hours early and still barely made my flight in time. I wanted to get something to eat but I couldn't because I had to wait in two lines to get my boarding pass, because the Kiosk would not print my ticket. In addtion to Spirit overloading TSA in their terminal. My worst flying experience ever, and I fly a lot!"

By the time you pay for all the extras you might as well get a slightly more expensive ticket elsewhere & at least have a comfortable seat with some support. My back hurt for 2 days after the flight. Not worth it."

Pros: "Spirit was having issues so at 5:20 am I got in line for my boarding pass. At 11:15 am I finally got it. Both flights had already left. I'm now waiting for make up flights. The whole situation was handled horribly, everyone was super rude. (There were two helpful people at the desks.)"

Cons: "My wife and I arrived at the airport an hour before our flight only to find that it had been delayed an hour and a half. We then decided to grab a bite to eat at the restaurant about 100 feet from our boarding gate. We checked our phones constantly to make sure we would not miss our flight and the updatesfrom Spirit consistently stated the plane was leaving at 8:10. When we arrived at the gate at 7:40 for boarding, the plane was taking off, despite the fact that above the gate it still indicated that takeoff wasn't for another half hour. When I asked the young gate attendant what had happened she brushed past me saying planes gone, you missed it. When she finally got her manager, who was equally as rude and unprofessional, she blamed my wife and me, stating that we should not have relied on the updates we were receiving, or the boarding time that still stated 8:10 above her head as she was speaking to me, as if to highlight the absurdity. She also told me she couldn't refund our flight but only provide us a credit, after pressing her further, it turns out she did have the authority to refund our flights, and only after asking to speak to her boss, did she do so. I will never fly (or attempt to fly) Spirit ever again, and I urge others to stay away from Spirit at all costs."

Cons: "Usury charges for all services, including seat changes, carry-on prices, lack of complimentary snacks & drinks on board. Major complaint. Long delays (hours and hours). Both flights. One 6 hours delay. Another, 4 hours delay. No prior notification. Passengers were forced to spend down time at the airport gates or be charged for finding other flights on nearby airlines with more timely departure. Just for the record, I will never fly Spirit Airlines again. I didn't save money and I didn't enjoy 10 hours of wait time with not believable explanation. There is no reason that person should be handling customers. That kind of 'in your face' response to an inquiry about a 4 hour delay is unacceptable. We should have been compensated in some way other than be told 'take it or leave it, at our expense. In this case, an 8:55 p.m scheduled departure delayed to 12:30 a.m. boarding time would have gotten us to our destination (LaGuardia to Ft. Lauderdale) at 3:30 a.m. Our pick up plans would have to be scuttled. That, Spirit Airlines is unprofessional and unacceptable. For me, in my first attempt to fly with you, ended any further booking on Spirit Air. With this kind of performance, you will fail. (P.S. Pros: "I got there and back."
Cons: "On return flight sat on tarmac waiting for gate for a half hour after scheduled arrival time. Finally got a temporary gate."

Pros: "The plane facility was fine. The staff was well intended and did their best to help."
Cons: "Travel updates were late coming. 4 hours before my flight boarding time, I received an email notice that my flight would be delayed by 9 minutes. While I am sitting in the airport at the gate, at the new boarding time, there was no announcement- and no gate agent, but rather an email saying that the flight was delayed 2 hours. They had no advance notice that the flight would be delayed until the flight was supposed to be boarding. There was no gate agent to handle the difficulties that presented to travelers. I'll pay more or take a bus over taking Spirit."

Pros: "Your flight staff (flight attendants) are always great."
Cons: "I attempted to purchase luggage before each of my flights (departure and return) and the website would not allow it. I called the customer service number multiple times and it said they were experiencing technical difficulties. I was forced to purchase luggage allowance at the airport on both flights and was forced to pay a much larger amount that what I normally would have had to pay if the website was working. This excessive fee really makes the option of flying spirit less economical, frustrating, and really obliterates any reason to fly with your airline. Additionally, I was able to purchase seating before my flight- but on my return flight they put me in a seat that I did not pay for. The flight attendant did make a correction. Your staff at the main terminals is consistently extremely slow, unfortunately. I really like the flight attendants, they are always great. However, due to the above mentioned issues I have had recurrently, I will certainly be reluctant to purchase Spirit flights in the future"

Cons: "The worst service of all time!!!"

Cons: "Ticketing agent in Minneapolis was extremely rude to me. Flight was two hours behind. Staff on board the plane, including the pilot, were extremely courteous however, despite the unfortunate delays. I understand delays happen, but my flights in both directions experienced long delays and, combined with the behavior of the ticketing agent especially, I am not inclined to fly this airline again."

Pros: "I've never had a problem with your airline you have the bare necessities which is all you need for the price that you get"
Cons: "I was very unhappy because I could not check in the night before or the morning of my flight so my baggage cost me more than it should have as a member of the spirit Club I was very disappointed"

Pros: "Cheap and easy. Will do it again in a heartbeat. No doubt about it"
Cons: "Nothing. You get what you pay for. Short flight so no problem"

Pros: "I got the whole row to myself!"

Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "The worst nickle and dimed for everything seats very uncomfortable didn't recline. It cost me more in baggage fees than the ticket."
