Then, they boarded by zones, but I had no idea what zone I was supposed to be in and it was nowhere on my ticket. Anywhere. Then, when I finally decided to go try to board, they wouldn't let me because they said I didn't have a return ticket. In fact, I had proof of onward travel in three different forms. But they insisted that I had to have a flight as proof of leaving Guatemala and assured me that customs would prevent me from entering. They also said I had 5 minutes to book something or I would miss the flight. No one ever paged me to discuss this prior to departure! And do you know how much Guatemala asked about my onward travel? Zero. Nada. In the fluster of buying an almost $400 ticket, I clicked to book through a third party that doesn't allow refunds. Fortunately, after I landed I called them right away to cancel and managed to make it happen since the ticket hadn't been issued, but if I had failed at that it would have been at least $130 when all was said and done. Ride was uncomfortable, flight attendants we're rude and impatient, and I was ignored for food service."

I had to pay for a 24 hours expedite / rush passport. ALSO, once I got my new passport (17 hours later) I was told that I had to pay $170 penalty for moving my departure day and $680 because I had to adjust to the new ticket price. At that point I decide to buy a new ticket with a different airline. AVIANCA SUCKS!!! They are NOT very accommodating at all. Will not recommend this agency and I WILL NEVER ever again will use their service."

(If you know you have customers with short connections, why leave early to make their connections even shorter?) Then told us they would not pay for our hotel since it wasn’t their fault. Gave us a “discount” with a nearby hotel that was more expensive than what you could book it for online. Had to wait several hours for them to get us back the carry-on luggage that they insisted we check in the first place."

Cons: "There was only 1.25 hours to connect in Mexico City and the originatng flight left 25 minutes late. Wouldn't have been an issue but baggage delivery in Mex. D. F. was quite slow. First bag arrived quickly enough but second bag was delayed almost 15 minute more before appearing on the caroussel. Going back through securuitY was slow despite a special line for connectin passengers. Result-- missed flight by about 10 minutes and reschedule was for a flight 3 hours later. Luckily, bags never made it onto original flight so arrived with me on later flight. Inconvenient but understandable. Mexico City requires more than an hour (at least 1hr and about 40 minutes more) to make connections."

When I showed up to the airport to check my baggage (this was 2 hours before my flight) there was a huge line of people already there. I went to the back of the line and after 15 minutes of not moving I texted my family that I might be missing my flight. As I got closer to the front a nervous and overwhelmed Aeromexico employee went to the back of the line and handed the last person a paper and told her she would be the last person allowed on the flight. Anyone lined up after her was turned away because they had showed up too late. It seemed to me that those people would have made it onto the flight if the airline had been prepared and ready to check everyone in on time. When I was finally able to check my bag there were only 20 minutes left until my flight was supposed to depart. I rushed to the security checkpoint and ran to my gate in fear of missing my flight, only to find another large line of people. They hadn't even started boarding! After waiting 10 minutes in line (10 minutes before the plane was supposed to depart), the crew slowly strolled to the gate. They didn't even seem to care. Overall, my experience was below average, but seeing how people were not allowed to board due to the airline not being prepared for this flight, I would say I won't be flying Aeromexico again."

They said I should have my luggage by tomorrow, but I don't believe it as this isn't the first time with me flying with them and they loose my luggage (it's take them 3 days to return my luggage and there was never reimbursement for the receipts of clothes and items I had to purchase because they were in my bag they lost!). Your mediocracy isn't going to make you a legacy airline AEROMEXICO, this is an AVgeek who has work for the industry!"

Cons: "Our flight was cancelled about 20 minutes after the departure time for an overnight flight. We spent 2 hours in line waiting to talk to an Aeromexico representative, by which time any chance of getting on another flight was gone because it was too late in the evening to get another flight. The BEST option they could get for us was for us to drive 3 hours to another airport at 1am to catch a 6am flight and 2 additional flights after that with another airline. We were told that when we arrived at the Austin airport, that a representative could refund us the money for the car rental before our flight. However, there was nobody at the Aeromexico counter at the airport. We called the "Customer Service" number and the lady could not help us at all in ANY way except for offering to sell us another ticket.... needless to say, worst customer service experience. When we arrived, our bags (which were carry-ons that were taken from us at the gate) didn't make it with us on the flight, so we had to wait another 2 hours at the airport for our bags. Needless to say, worst travel experience ever."
Pros: "I was impressed and very happy the flight was early. I had low expectations with Aeromexico because in the past every flight I took with you was delayed or late."
Cons: "We had items stolen from two luggages. The were cell phones and the accessories plus some jewelry. These could have only been know by means of the security scans of the luggage. One item disappeared for a day. None of the other four were tapered with. I have contacted Aeromexico twice by email while in Mexico. The first time I was told someone would contact me and no one did. The second time there was no reply. I asked that some call be on my cell and I have received nothing."
Pros: "Plenty of drinks, entertainment and blankets earplugs. Going we had a fabulous new plane with individual tvs & plugs for electronics."
Cons: "Coming home older plane, no individual tvs, the monitor to view commercials was small & far away. Also they only showed one hour tv show. It was over 4 hrs, they could have showed at least another show. Food not good."

Cons: "Our flight from Dallas was delayed due to the crew being late to show up. This delay was so late that there was no way we would make the connecting flight in Mexico City. Staff in both airports knew this and made no attempts to remedy the problem. In Dallas the avoided answering questions or being helpful. When we got to Mexico City they kept us on the shuttle bus sitting outside the airport doors for an extended amount of time. They refused to let us out of the bus despite several requests. When we finally were allowed to leave the bus and enter airport we were handed new boarding tickets. We were not given any instruction on what to do or where to go or even told that we had missed our flight and it was no use anyway. I along with several other people wondered around the airport trying to find where to go for baggage claim, customs and the boarding gate. Airport staff did not try to help or answer questions. When I finally found my luggage, sent it on to the other flight, made it to the boarding gate, the staff there informed me that I had missed my flight and would not be flying out until 16 hours later. This was distressing enough, but when they laughed at me while they were telling me, it made the whole situation intolerable. At that point I went to try to find someone who would be helpful and not laugh at me. I found the check-in desk. The lady there did not laugh at me but gave me the run around about how weather had caused the delay and the airline could not help me with a better flight or even hotel accommodations. She informed me that my luggage was still in the airport and that I could retrieve it in baggage claim. Retrieving my luggage was another nightmare. None of the airport staff outside of the glass doors to baggage claim could understand that I needed to reclaim my luggage. I cannot imagine how seeing that 30 some other people had to have already returned to do the same thing just a few minutes earlier. I intend to never fly AeroMexico again. And I will be telling everyone I know not to fly them. This airline allowed us to miss our connecting flight because of crew incompetence. They made to attempts to remedy the problem or make up for it, instead the staff lied, was purposely unhelpful and at times rude and disrespectful."

At check-in I was first told that my bag was too big for carry-on, although BA had accepted it. I shrunk it down. Then I was told it weighed too much at 15 kg. When I asked why BA accepted the weight I was told BA's weight limit was different. 3. Net net, if BA is "arranging" the flight through a code-share it should have responsibility for insuring I am treated like a BA customer. Aer Lingus' customer treatment leads much to be desired."
