Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "Kind, attentive crew who were very professional"
Cons: "The armrest control for the TV embedded in the seat in front of me from Pittsburgh to Denver didn't work, so I was forced to watch sports-ball while trying to read a book/work on my laptop. There's so little space between seats that it felt like an intrusion into my personal space."
Cons: "Was lied to concerning that 23kg of checked in luggage was included, turned out it was not."
Pros: "Free personal device entertainment!"
Pros: "the arrival on the other end"
Cons: "on tarmac 1-1/2 hours conflicting info....went from delay due to traffic/weather, to extended flight time due to reroute, to asking 10 people to volunteer to get off or 10 would be chosen to have to get off, 4 people volunteered, was holding my breath to be “picked off” when the 4 people were let back on and we took off an hour late. the flight steward spoke so unreasonably fast you couldn’t understand a word she said and she had an overall bad attitude....very disappointing from United"
Pros: "New plane"
Cons: "Poor service in first class. Made me feel like I was bothering her"
Cons: "I hated that the flight was about 90 minutes LATE which made me almost miss my next flight (had I not jogged an entire airport, I would have)"

Pros: "Pilots had great skill and provided a very comfortable flight despite bad weather. Exceptionally smooth take off. The newer planes being introduced are very nice, too."
Cons: "I didn't realize how amazing the United Airlines app was. Shows all kinds of cool info on your flight and free media. I am now shocked st how ignorant people are to write complaints regarding delays due to weather. It's for your safety. Appreciate technology and respect Mother Nature fools."
Pros: "14 hour flight. The legroom in economy seating on UA 82 is an absolute joke if you are 5 feet 6 inches or taller. I am 5' 11" Charging $200 premium for economy plus which on united is a few more inches of legroom unlike other carriers where it's a step closer to business class."
Cons: "Entertainment system was not working for the duration of the flight (14 hours). Legroom in economy seating $200 premium for 4 more inches of legroom No automatic upgrade for silver star loyalty membership even though plenty of seats available."
Pros: "The last minute emergency flight was not terribly priced"
Cons: "I was notified when there was going to be a delay, but not notified when my flight was cancelled due to the airline not having a crew. Really? No crew? Gave my mother a voucher for a motel stay, but failed to notify her that there would be no shuttle that comes to the airport after 10pm. She is not great with technology and was stranded at the airport until her re-scheduled flight 12 hours later"
Pros: "i was rebooked and am still on my way"
Cons: "i was delayed in ONT, making my flight an almost 24 hour trip from vONT to my destination. not fun had to reschedule car rental. luckily, they did not charge extra"
Pros: "On time for once"
Cons: "Cost of the flights + baggage"
Cons: "Flight delayed 2 hours. United representative did not have current flight status and was unable to help me reschedule my flight until the next day. Luckily the airport staff had more current info and was able to reschedule my connector flight for that afternoon"
Cons: "I did not like having to wait over one hour for the luggage carousel to begin dispersing belongings. I was shocked at how long it took!"
Pros: "Snacks and drink"
Cons: "I haven't actually been able to arrive to Tegucigalpa since we were stuck in the plane for a long time, lost our next flight connection and worst of all, the airline left us hanging at the airport in Houston without our luggage, didn't take any responsibility at all so we had no other choice other than to look and pay for a hotel ourselves until tomorrow hoping this nightmare ends soon."
Pros: "Caught all my flights on time everything went smooth."
Cons: "Connection flight times were a little close which caused me to rush from different sections of New ark airport. I almost missed my flight home to Providence so if connecting flights could be scheduled with a little more wiggle room that would be great."
Pros: "Staff was nice and accommodating. Plane ride was smooth."
Cons: "DELAYS. I had 4 flights within a weekend all with United and EVERY flight was delayed. The plane also heading to Newark ahead of us was overbooked and some people were pushed onto our plane, not a big deal if all can fit on the plane...but we wouldn't have if it wasn't for the delay causing those flying to Boston to miss their flights. Frustrating and adds an element of concern when faced with delays when the weather is fine. The internet on the plane is also confusing to use...should be clearer. Mistakenly booked my flight before realizing the new carry on policy, so trying to pack everything into a tiny bag to meet requirements was frustrating... definitely don't think I will be booking United again."
Cons: "Again flights never left on time."
Pros: "On time, courteous & caring flight attendant & desk staff. Unable to understand pilot or first officer's PA announcements...language & microphone issues. Airplane is severely cramped so flight was uncomfortable."
Cons: "See above"
Pros: "Quick flight."
Cons: "We arrived early and then sat on tarmac for so long we were technically late.."
Cons: "This flight was not full at all BUT the staff wouldn't let anyone move up to the empty rows. Rows 22 and above were EMPTY while rows 23 and behind were 3 to a seat... they stated the empty rows were "premium seating" and required an extra fee!! BUT THEY WERE EMPTY"
Cons: "Flight was delayed by over two hours"
Pros: "The flight was to depart at 8:15 but due to delay only leaving at 3;30. Dissapointed as it took two agents to process a replacement flight (first agent offered a connection for a 1.5h flight only)."
Cons: "More attentive staff willing to help and at the very least, be emphatic."
Cons: "The crew was unprofessional and Unprepared"
Pros: "Same as before"
Cons: "Delay without updates. Almost missed my connection. No TV."
Pros: "It was ok."
Cons: "They lost my husbands luggage from Morgantown to Charleston and we sat for about 10 minutes with no gate in Charleston when we landed!"
Pros: "Comfortable and on time"
Pros: "did not crash"
Cons: "It appeared that flight was not ever scheduled to go to Providence, The plane was too large to land in Providence. United probably sold too many tickets. Arrived at 130 a.m. next day -- not 9 p.m. lie I was supposed to arrive. United offered a $100 e-ticket gift. I do not fly very often. Could use $100 cash or free flight to Providence -- not Boston"
Pros: "the snack pack was a good value"
Cons: "arriving plane was late so we got into OKC late"
Pros: "The flight crew stayed calm and polite as people were frustrated with the boarding process and a few other errors. The communication was clear and consistent about our delay due to the rain and when we would be landing as well."
Cons: "The two gates were boarding separate aircrafts and the lines because a cluster of confused and irritated people. It was hard to board with all the confusion as our gate kept changing where to line up with our groups and eventually we were able to board. Some of the flight crew was a little snappy when the seatbelt light was on for a long time and people had to use the restroom."
Pros: "We received a free video service for the flight"
Cons: "First of all the flight was booked for a plane which was too large to land in Providence. So either way we were going to have a longer day and extra leg.....which I only paid for ONE plane change. After running to the gate because my first flight was late taking off, this flight was delayed due to engine issues. The agent had us standing in line for 1 1/2 hours while she tried to figure out what was going on. So instead of taking off at 5:40 pm, we took off at 9 pm and still had to catch a bus from Boston to Providence...HORRIBLE Flight = Long Day/Night"
Pros: "Getting home."
Cons: "Long layover"
Cons: "United is a horrible excuse for a company. 3 mechanical delays ultmately causing us to miss a wedding which was the reason for our trip. A 5 hour delay out and an overnight delay in the way home. We slept on the floor in the airport- one thing for us but disgusting to see United allowed this for elderly and families with toddlers and babies. The third mechanical delay occurred after we were finally bored and on the runway and they wouldn't let us deplane. Never have I been so terrified to fly."
Pros: "Pilot was great in keeping us informed. Flight was late getting in, then in line with a lot of planes waiting to take off. Then at O'Hare our gate wasn't ready and had to circle. And then we were at the gate farthest from baggage claim. At least the was relatively smooth."
Cons: "See above...lateness of everything"
Cons: "The gate changed twice. We were directed to a bus to take us to our flight to only be made to get back off the bus because we didn't have a crew. No one would tell us anything. Got back into the airport and then 30 minutes later got put back on the bus. The plane was disgusting, smelled like urine. The air conditioning didn't work. Terrible."
Pros: "Even though we boarded late, it was expeditious. We still arrived on time or close."
Cons: "Middle seat was hard and uncomfortable."
Pros: "Not much."
Cons: "had a 1 hour lay over at LAX. I travel with a Service Dog. I had taken him out to the doggie poddy area. I came back in and had to have my Boarding Pass checked. They informed me that I would need to have my Boarding pass stamped for my dog. It took them 20 minutes to take care of it, by now I was running short on time to get to my flight. As I went through Security, I saw the TSA agent remove my laptop from the bin on the conveyer belt. I saw him lower it to the floor (I thought he was putting it in my bag). It wasn't until I got to Abq. that I realized my computer wasn't in my bag. I have contacted United, TSA, and LAX police. None of them have done a thing."
Pros: "The plane was clean. Boarding was great at Wichita."
Cons: "All flights should have free wifi and power hookups. Greyhound does this, why shouldn't united."
