Pros: The crew was awesome. They went above and beyond.
Pros: Crew was friendly, eager to help. Flight arrived on time.
Pros: Amazing service
Cons: add low carb meal option please!
Pros: Crew were super attentive. Friendly and helpful. Food was decent. Nice change from standard fare.
Cons: This seemed an older plane so the size of the economy class seating harkened back to the days when your legs were numb halfway through the flight.
Pros: Crew was great as always, giving excellent service. American airlines would do well to send their crews to observe how it should be done.
Cons: The food and the drink selection.
Cons: Movie catalog needs to be expanded
Pros: Overall the flight met expectations for service, comfort and food.
Cons: Variety of entertainment (or lack of), and the flight being continuously delayed. Even though the flight ended up departing just an hour later than initially scheduled, I would rather receive one notification for a 1-hour delay, than four notifications for 15-minute delays.
Cons: Boarding is done by a bus trip onto the tarmac, then you take the rolling stairs up into the plane. No in flight entertainment of any sort.
Cons: I was seated at the exit isle, ample of leg room, but the seats were very narrow. I barely fit into the seats. I noticed the seats behind had smaller arm rests so they had more space. The movies on board need upgrade.
Pros: The cabin crew was always found to be welcoming and co-operative attitude. Rest Rooms (Toilets) were found to be clean whenever visited.
Pros: Loved that they offered us ANA postcards on the flight in to send home. I loved that they gave the kids inflatable ANA airplanes. Loved that they were accommodating with our Carry on luggage
Pros: Excellent legroom. Very polite staff.
Cons: Buses to plane. Delayed departure. Food not tasty. Limited entertainment options.
Pros: Plane not full so had 2 seats to myself. Stewardesses nice but didn’t all speak English.
Cons: Only got asked for a drink one time. I could have used a snack, but I was trying to sleep so maybe they just didn’t disturb me. Left bright lights on whole trip. No Wi-Fi on this flight available.
Cons: We both - Wife and me - had to pay around 200 USD for TWO Extra Suitcases in spite of both being an ANA Flying Miles Members. Hence What is the uet of these ANA Miles Club (AMC) Membership? Remains an EYE-WASH.................................
Pros: Very efficient, friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Food was gross.
Pros: The service from the check in to the flight attendants were excellent. both flights were on time and the flights were very smooth.
Cons: the plains were older and their chairs didn't recline too much, which gets a little uncomfortable during very long flights.
Pros: Food and Sitting Space
Pros: The crew is attentive and kind, the promptness is the airline, they aren’t afraid to serve you top notch food and dessert
Cons: The only thing that soured my trip was on the way back, it was a passenger who was just way overboard disgusting. First of all he takes off his shoes and then his socks and crosses his legs so his barefoot is right next to my tray table. Then he proceeds to unbutton his pants and unbuckle his belt. Reaches down into his nethers and takes a good whiff of his hand. This passenger continually kept encroaching into my seat, either sitting on a portion of my leg or putting his shoulder over my shoulder, even at one point used me as lean on. It was a 9 hour flight of misery... I was definitely uncomfortable for majority of that flight due to the passenger in 40A on flight NH176
Pros: Comfort was good
Cons: Drinks and refreshments given in meager amounts by stewardess like it was being rationed Choice and scope of movies was poor and narrow
Pros: The seats in business class are excellent. The staff is wonderful and very attentive. I'd fly ANA again especially on the 787.
Cons: The entertainment is pretty limited , and the food selection is limited for western food.
Cons: Coming from Kulalampur to Japan I missed flight from Japan to Chicago Ground crew refused to rebook me to next flight and then argument only booked up to Chicago and I had to call USA and my daughter to help There should be ground crew at gate for people who has short time to catch to facilitate There was no body and I was couple mts late In international flights they should rebook and give hotel I was traveling business class Poor in help Comfort and flight was ok Food not much choices
Pros: On time. Flight attendants don't shy away from helping passengers put their carryons in the cabin compartments. They were there in a split seconf to assist you - ANA flight attendants only. Food was great in ANA airlines. Toilet is clean. Boardinh was orderly.
Cons: More frequent offer of drinks to passengers
Pros: Shortest duration
Cons: I missed it due to delayed flight from LAX
Pros: Services and respectful
Pros: Excellent food. Very nice service.
Pros: I slept through the flight from take off to landing.
Cons: The cranky infant a few rows behind.
Cons: Food needs improvement
Pros: The ANA stuff at Chicago airport is nice and helpful
Cons: My mom has to stay seated "90 degree" the whole time from Tokyo to Chicago (NH12). The seat is broken and she cannot adjust it to a comfortable position
Cons: No snaks
Pros: The service was good. The seats were comfortable.
Cons: I missed the Thai crew. The crew was from Japan. No complaints about them.
Pros: Service was nice way more room than American Delta or United for economy
Pros: Not much to complain about. If the snacks can be provided at the galley freely, that would be perfect.
Pros: One of the best inflight meals. They serve snacks on top of main meal.
Cons: The shuttle bus to the plane was crowded. Limited movie options.
Cons: They refused to board because the united dis not allocate the flight date and ANA check in counter did not help to coordinate.
Pros: Good service.
Cons: Was put on "Standby", even though I was traveling with my teenage daughter, and I arrived more than 2 hours before departure! I ended up getting a seat, but this was unnecessary stressful (there were some seats left in business, so they knew I was going to get a seat eventually. They could have told me I was going to be able to go at check-in).
Pros: The ANA crew is always exceptional. Drinks and food are constantly being provided and the crew routinely walks about the cabin to ensure passenger needs are being met.
Cons: For some reason, other countries do not use a number system when boarding. This often means if you're not paying attention, you could be the last to board the aircraft because a line will form almost out of thin air. Minor issue, but a systematic boarding procedure would be good.
Pros: Service and so much free drink.
Pros: The space, movies, & comfort
Cons: The food selection.
Pros: Everyone was super polite
Cons: We were delayed, but I can't say it was the airline's fault.
Pros: Check in was easy and staff and crew were very polite.
Cons: Headphones didn't work well. We had pre-ordered a child meal 24 hours in advance but did not receive it.
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: When I went to counter to get my seat assignment I was offered 25,000 yen to take a later flight because mine was overbooked. I agreed and began notifying my transportation at my final destination when I was told nevermind, space was no longer needed. This was aggrevating.
Pros: I could not rate food and entertainment higher as food was not served and there was no entertainment.
Pros: Boarding was the fastest I've ever seen on an international trip. Thank you!! And the flight arrived earlier than anticipated. So travel was great.
Cons: Tight quarters in the economy class were much less comfortable than the ANA flight to Narita. And why isn't there at least a curtain in front of the restrooms - there's way too little privacy in that regard. One should not be able to see the toilet from 10 rows back whenever the door is opened!
Cons: Nothing in particular
Pros: This can be relative but compared to USA airlines, most international airlines are so much better. ANA - the service is great - attractive, good looking flight attendant like the way it was back in the 70-80's., food was great and a wide selection of movies. For a 16 hour flight, ANA is the way to go.
Pros: Staff was Very friendly and professional.
Cons: No sioda (Coke or 7-Up), only Apple Juice or water, No snack!
Pros: Easy boarding, friendly crew
Cons: Seats were not comfortable
Pros: The overall timeliness- although we were delayed boarding. We arrived on time.
Cons: At least an offer of a free beverage? Water at a minimum.
Pros: Have flown Peach before so knew what to expect. That made seat assignments and baggage handling painless. If you have not flown them before, their 7 kg cabin baggage limit is enforced in Osaka. Be forwarned and be prepared to pay extra baggage fees.
Cons: We were unable to board the plane as they would not permit us to check in. I've reached out to request a refund but have not yet heard back.
Cons: The staff is very arrogant and only looks for ways to make money rather than providing information and helping. NO COURTESY AT ALL. They made me miss my flight and managed to blame it on me despite my being there 1:30 ahead. I’ll never recommend them.
Pros: We loved the price, timeliness, communication and friendly service
Cons: The terminal at OKA, it was confusing to find and to get to.
Pros: Service was fine considering it was an LCC carrier. Aircraft was new and was in perfect order. No significant delays.
Cons: No beverage service was offered even if we would have had to pay for anything. No other issues.
Pros: Great crew
Cons: No entertainment.
Cons: You have to pay for everything
Pros: Low fare punctuality. Much cheaper alternative than any other mode of transportations in Japan. No frill is expected. 10kg of free carry on should be enough for most savvy travelers.
Cons: The back of seat was soft and the person behind me kept pushing/kicking without realizing I could feel it.
Cons: Usually flying peach means saving big money. My trip really only saved me around 15%, had I known I'd be flying out of the cargo terminal on both sides and have to endure multiple packed bus trip on top of the most uncomfortable airplane seating I've ever had I would surely have paid the extra and will do so in the future.
Pros: the price
Cons: you get what you paid for
Cons: Seats to small and they didn't check ID to ticket
Pros: Professional and attractive flight attendants. Clean cabin.
Cons: "We'd like to buy the noodles." "Sorry, we're sold out of that." "We'd like to buy some grape soda." "Sorry, we're sold out of that." "I'd like to buy a model airplane." "Sorry, we're sold out of that." This was on the way to Hong Kong, where they may load up on some of the catering items, but not on the duty free. Strange for an LCC to be so low on inventory, which is a huge part of their revenues. My other gripe is that the only source of water in the holding area at Okinawa's LCC terminal was, like the flight afterward turned out to be: sold out. Oh, and they split the two of us up upon checking in (two hours prior to the flight) by seating us on opposite sides of the plane. I can't believe the entire rest of the plane paid for confirmed seats and left only single seats. Like AirAsia, Peach has Navitaire's reservation system, and apparently, like AirAsia, Peach intentionally splits groups up in the hopes that they will pay to sit together. If this is the case, it is wrong. I agree with LCCs' notion that baggage is a service, for example (at least seven people handle a bag on a nonstop flight), or selling food rather than giving it away. But it is really low to intentionally cause discomfort and then charge to relieve it.
Pros: The price is good and they offer some of the best prices around Japan and East Asia. As far as LCC's go they aren't the worst. If you're motivated only by price, then Peach is fine.
Cons: The service of Peach is pretty much non-existent. Their staff seem to be very poorly trained, they are no proficient in English, they do no communicate well and seem to only be interested in getting you crammed into the plane (and out of it) as fast as possible. Their flights are often delayed, you can safely assume you will leave at least 30 minutes past the scheduled departure time. On the plane you will get nothing but a seat so don't expect anything else.
Cons: Free water
Cons: At narita airport to go through security if you are going to want any food. There is one small concession that doesnt have much of anything.
Pros: Clean new plane.
Cons: Need to sell alcohol onboard.
Cons: When I asked for something the crew responds
Pros: Nothing, the flight was terrible the whole time
Cons: Everything, the pilot could not even keep the plane straight
Pros: I like to travel light so the 7 kg weight is not an issue for me
Pros: The on board staff were very helpful and pleasant!
Cons: We were allowed a carry on bag on our way to Narita. On the way back to Okinawa, they said it was too large (by 1”!) and we had to pay to check it. The flight was not full and there was a great deal of empty space in the overhead bins. I was not happy about this.
Cons: No pillows on the flight, nothing to eat, was a delay on the flight
Pros: The flight was easy to check into, boarding was quick and before I knew it we were at our destination. For the price, you can’t beat what you get!
Cons: Having to pay an extra free for exery service (bags, reserved seats, food) was not ideal, but it still was cheaper than a regualr ticket with a big airline. Overall, I would do it again!
Cons: The check in process was so unorganized and confusing. Counter clerks tried to expedite all passengers vice prioritizing one flight at a time. Multiple passengers ended up missing their flights.
Pros: The flight was very organized. Just a little delay. I got to move and lay down in a 3 seat row. I got to sleep on the whole flight.
Cons: Riding a shuttle bus to the plane.
Pros: Got us there safely if not timely
Cons: Flight was delayed
Pros: Very quick and to the point of the trip!
Cons: Charging for weight of your carry on
Cons: Terminal 3 at Narita is far from terminal 1. Terminal 3 is a dump. Shuttles are slow and few and far between. No jetway for boarding. I asked for a glass of water and the flight attendants were insisting I buy a bottle of water. The crew was not friendly. Next time I will pay more and fly Al Nippon.
Cons: wasn’t even able To take the flight due to a 30 min prior check in time. I️ was 4 mins late to the check in time. So they wouldn’t let me on the plane
Pros: The plane took off from the terminal and gate that jet star said it would.
Cons: For starters, I am not a complaining type of person, and even though the experience was sub-par (in my opinion), they are a friendly staff at the Narita airport. The first down side to flying Jetstar is the ridiculous baggage fee. Check their website for details. You are extremely limited, or like me, will have to pay nearly $100 USD for a round trip (Narita to Naha). Secondly I got to the gate after clearing security, which was about a 8 minute walk, and heard my name on the the loud speaker. The lady was instructing me to return to the check in counter. I turned around and returned. On my way back I heard the announcement 2 more times before I got back. Turns out I had a shaving cream in my check-in bag. Apparently that's unacceptable, and I was required to come back, unzip the bag, and remove it. Strange because every passenger is permitted 1 lighter on the plane in their carry on. You cannot check in a lighter on Jet Star. You must carry it on. Safety of passengers and crew was not considered and is highly questionable with that regulation. The flight was an hour delayed as well. I know flights get delayed, it's really as minor as stepping on a terd in the ocean, but it was a somewhat rotten cherry on the already melted ice cream.
Pros: Honestly nothing! The only reason I keep flying JetStar is because they are a partner flight from Narita when I fly other airlines or they have better domestic connecting flights at Narita than other airlines. But I would avoid flying with them at all costs!
Cons: The staff are the worst, especially at check-in. I have a consistent horrible experience at check in with JetStar (not just this time). I cannot comprehend how in today's day and age such service (and attitude) can be considered, forget about good, even acceptable. I fly a lot for work with various airlines. I make about 30-40 flights a year and Jet Star is the worst company I have encountered! Everything about it is bad, comfort, food, convenience, service, promptness of take off and landing. I just hate it with a passion!
Pros: The seats were large and comfortable.
Cons: The flight left 2.5 after scheduled time.
Pros: The cost of the flight. The ease of access. Speed the luggage was off loaded
Cons: the counter operations looked in disaray trying to get people on thier appropriate flight. I know they were dealing with a lot of cancellations due to the typhoon. Charging for one checked bag, because the boarding pass didn't state there would being checked. On flight, why is there no complimentary water, soda, tea, chips, cookies? Come on...really. Please look at changing this. Please don't say it so we can keep the cost of the flights down. Our flight was delayed approximately 40 mins, after we boarded already. So, this couldn't have been relayed before having everyone get on the plane? During the flight, the male flight attendants who was making anouncements, i couldn't understand a word of his English. i only bring this up because, one there were a lot of Americans on the flight going to Okinawa. Two, in case of an emergency, you wouldn't be able to understand what he is tryin to direct us to do if an in flight emergency happened. So my concern is for the safety portion for those Americans who were on the flight and couldn't understand completely what he was saying. Not saying that the safety of all on board isn't important.
Pros: Seats to close paid for economy not good
Cons: Seats to small
Pros: Printing boarding passes in the domestic sextion was quick. Gate is air conditioned now.
Cons: Caught the latest flight into Okinawa but got in even later, at 2230. Made it difficult to pick up dog and car when we arrived so late. Poor service without attendants doing anything besides talking to each other in a corner the whole 3 hour flight except to walk down the aisle twice. No entertainment available.
Pros: The crew was amazing
Cons: Everything looked good but the seat wouldn't recline. That a lone made it a horrible flight because I wasn't able to sleep.
Cons: We couldn't check in because we were 1 minute late. We were trying to talk to jet star people but they didn't even care about us. I know they were busy but we needed their help. Really. And Okinawa to Tokyo, our flight was 8 hours delayed because the engine was broken or something like that. We were so exhausted. We couldn't go outside of airport, sticker in the airport. It was really bad.
Pros: It was only a 3 hour flight, & pretty much slept the whole time, since it was a connecting flight from another 12 hr flight. The A/C should of been a little cooler though.
Pros: Everything The fact that I got my boarding passes at once on the day of departure. The price :)
Pros: Ease of boarding.
Pros: I did not purchase a meal and I am unaware of any entertainment. Overall I was happy with the price, and the staff. Everyone seemed to be able to speak both Japanese and English so made it much easier for me. Flight was on time and bags came quickly. Great service for a very economical price.
Cons: The captain voice is really low and is hard to hear he talking.
Pros: New plane
Cons: No wifi. Seat space was small. Flight attendant didn't allow me to hold my small purse in my lap!
Pros: The fight attendants service was impeccable.
Cons: We paid for every piece of luggage to include handbags and carry-on the total cost of the handbags carry-ons came up to well over $140
Cons: The check in was bad. We travelled with a toddler and went 2 hours and 45ish min before boarding to check in. The screen indicated that we can check in and after we had lined up with all our suitcases, stroller, crying toddler, they would come and told us that if we are checking in suitcases we can't check in yet. We were turned from the queue 2 times. It was very frustrating and inconvenient, especially since there wasn't a place to sit much. I raised a question as to why the screens are saying it is OK to check in. We were told that was only for people who did not have luggage to check in! Then the airline has more rules than I had experienced. "You can do this, you have to do that..." We felt bossed around the whole time and not comfortable. It became really annoying. The overall attitude is, "Be grateful we are allowing you to fly with us.", not "Thank you for giving us your business". This is my third experience with Jet Star and I have been disappointed every time. I am not flying with them ever again unless I have absolutely no other choice.
Pros: On-line check-in made getting through security and luggage drop off fast.
Cons: The counter and the gate were about 30 minutes apart by foot.
Pros: Crew on board is always sweet, kind, professional, and accommodating.
Cons: At our take off point, at Naha (NAA) in Okinawa, both my parents and my family checked our luggage at the check-in desks. We paid for our gear to fly but were also informed to keep our receipts for our trip back to Oki from Tokyo so we wouldn't have to pay for our luggage to fly again. The cost for our luggage was for both trips (almost $70 USD, there and back it seemed. Seems that was a lie or misinformation because we still had to pay for our luggage on the trip back from Tokyo to Okinawa. AND the cost of our luggage to fly to Tokyo was more than on the way back which makes no sense when factoring in that we brought gifts home! I will be taking further action with Jet Star.
Pros: The flight
Cons: Terminal three was poor.
Pros: The flight was quick and the staff was nice.
Cons: The seats were too far upright. No drinks (not even water??) AND A $30 baggage fee. I $90 flight turned into a $120 becuase I had 2 kg's over the weight limit. How about an email or something that says there will be a baggage free. Or that I paid ANOTHER $10 fee for using kayak through travel fusion? so the flight cost me $130. I would have taken an earlier flight knowing that.
Pros: Ticket counter was very helpful with the language barrier issues. Made it easy and low stress.
Pros: The price is great for domestic flights in japan
Cons: Cramped No snacks Limited free drink options
Pros: Landing was smooth.
Cons: Cramped leg room.
Pros: I like that they accommodated my special needs with a hydraulic lift up to the airplane. The staff was friendly and courteous.
Cons: The check in process was slow and painful. It took almost an hour. They wouldn't let us check in more than 2 hours early and when we went at the designated time, it took so long that we barely made our boarding time. We ended up paying an extra $350 for our luggage. It didn't save any money in the long run. They didn't even offer water to anyone. You had to pay for any kind of food or beverage.
Pros: Great crew and very efficient! Slept through drink service and most of flight .
Pros: The check-in process is easy, and there are people working at the counters. The security and access of the airport was easy to get thru. The people that work here and fly are very helpful and knowledgable. The flight crew was attentive and happy to serve.
Cons: The additional costs for everything. When booking the flights I couldn't mark baggage, and everything over 10KG had to be paid for. In addition I had to pay for the entire weight since I couldn't select baggage ahead of time.
Pros: Crew was extremely friendly and professional.
Pros: Very courteous staff.
Cons: Only issue was the allowed carry-on of 7 kilos (less than 15 lbs ) per person, luckily the fee was not too bad.
Cons: Excessive baggage fees and ignored by crew when serving in flight beverages.
Cons: Too strict on carry on items. Had to spend a lot of extra money for baggage which negated any savings on ticket price. Especially without even offering any complimentary beverages
Pros: Quick and easy, no problems at all
Cons: Had a carry on bag for 3 flights, they made me check it and charged me $30.
Cons: Check in process was long and frustrating, boarding was even worse. We printed our tickets at self check in, but the crew member made us to go stand in the line for regular check in, just for them to tell us what gate to go to. Our luggage was weighted and reweighted couple times even duty free items were added to the weight. We have never been irritated like that before. It was very frustrating experience.
