Pros: "I paid only $100 more round trip to DTW from SLC then I would have with other carriers, minus the hassle of connecting flights and paying fees that they don't tell you about up front (like $25 for a carry-on bag, oh and a another $12 per leg for a window seat). My experience, like my previous Delta experiences was absolutely enjoyable. From the quick boarding, super friendly gate agents, and flight crew, to the free on board entertainment, Delta has won me over once again. Oh and did I mention how great it is to board a flight, relax and watch a good movie, take a small nap, and deplane at your destination! Awesome!!"

Pros: "We were traveling from IAH gto FRA with two dogs. One in a crate and one in a small carry on dog bag. Lufthansa handled the process very well. They expected us at the airport, helped us through the entire checkin with a smile, helpful information and care. They brought us and our dog to TSA and after boarding confirmed that our dog had been loaded and safely taken care of. The cabin crew also checked on us and our in cabin dog. I don't know any other airline that makes traveling with a dog so easy and pleasant."

Cons: "Where to begin? During the booking process, there was no indication my travel partner and I would be flying Air Canada, and not Lufthansa. We were seated in the last row of the plane with painfully little legroom — even for two women of relatively small stature. The plane was not equipped with modern conveniences of operational wifi, music, or any other means of entertainment over the ten-hour flight. We were nearly an hour late to depart, but were unable to hear anything over the speakers regarding the cause for the delay, nor could we hear any of the flight attendants' safety instructions. What we could hear, however, was the surprisingly loud and nearly constant DINNNGGGG of the passengers' call buttons as they summoned the flight attendants. Because the flight was an overnighter, we attempted to sleep, but it was nearly impossible to do so due to the noise. I had earplugs in and could still hear the chimes, which were positioned right above our seats and made for an unpleasant experience and cranky travelers. The food was subpar as expected, but it would've been nice to be surprised with something resembling a fresh piece of fruit or vegetable. The flight crew was polite and one of the attendants took pity on us and offered a complimentary shot of whiskey, which partially alleviated the discomfort of the experience. That man is a saint and we surely hope he is better taken care of by this airline than we were. Overall a miserable experience. Will definitely rethink flying both Lufthansa and Air Canada in the future."

Pros: "Lufthansa really knows how to run an airline, there was a one day strike the day before our departure for SFO, we thought for sure the airport would be a disaster, all through the strike we were updated on our flight status via email, when we arrived to the airport from Florence, we were in a brand new airport terminal, the flow was flawless the plane was on time and you would never know there was any disruption, unlike the US the airport is a mess for days, we would fly Lufthansa anytime."

Cons: "On our return flight from Munich to IAD the airline apparently switched the plane hours before departure. We did not receive notice of this and when we went to board we received new boarding passes. I was traveling with someone and so this reassignment meant not only that we were separated by that we were moved from an Aisle and a window seat together to both of us in middle seats. I understand that this change was out of ground crew control and so we waited to speak with agents about seeing if we could be seated together. While we waited patiently and were told that the only two seats together were both middle seats, the women who were waiting behind us and who were in the same situation as us (but much nor agitated and loud about the complaint) received upgrades to economy plus and were placed in an aisle seat. We were very disappointed with how this was handled and both of us being tall were very uncomfortable on the long flight."

Pros: "Missed connection and it was airport not Delta that was the problem. Not a good way to start a vacation. Rating is for the Paris Airport, not the flight crew or Air France employees. Still sitting in the airport when we should be at our destination."
Cons: "Hundreds of people missed their flights. Delta had us into Paris with an hour and a half to get to connecting flight. Missed flight due to huge delay in passport approval. They seemed completely unprepared."

Cons: "It was one problem after another during check in. And it was difficult to find help in English so I couldn't really tell what was going on. In the end I was tucking to get checked in because they were insisting I use a kiosk but I was telling them that the kiosk said to see an attendee. It was not efficient and I felt like a burden asking for help when there was nothing else I could do on my own."

Pros: "Service was much better than on the flight from MIA to CDG 3 weeks before - that was very poor. Entertainment was excellent - great selection of movies. Premium Economy was definitely worth the upgrade cost."
Cons: "Boarding was a complete debacle - no control over who went where. Sky Priority line was full of 50 people who weren't Sky Priority, and there was only one person checking passports. The two people at the desk didn't care when I noted this. We were called to the desk in advance of boarding to check passport information. When we got to the check in line, we were taken aside for more passport checking, even though we are US citizens with Trusted Traveler status in the GOES program. We were one of the first people at the departure lounge, and one of the the last to board."

Cons: "Plane late departing allegedly because of cleaning the plane, but why was the cleaning done that late? Also, ground crew remarkably uninformed about what was going on in the plane. Poor communication between plane and ground crew. No explanation from pilot as to continuing reason for delay even after we boarded. Departure time, 1.00 pm, boarded at 1.10, actual departure time 1.45, causing me to almost miss my connection and definitely causing my bags to miss the connection."

Cons: "I was forced to rebook my 3rd leg after taking trains in the middle."

Pros: "Our flight attendant and fnally making it home!"
Cons: "Disorganized uninformed staff. One says I have to have an additional "random" security check after going through the same thing in security. Turns out it wasn't random and I didn't need it. Both times they read my boarding pass wrong thought I was going to Tel Aviv - not random. Airport was hot as hell! Flight kept getting delayed then we had a gate change as well. Finally got on the plane and it took forever to take off so we were basically sitting in a sauna for 30+ minutes."

Cons: "There was a delay due to technical dificulties in previous flight. This caused a delay in take off and no AC while waiting in the plane for 40 minutes."

Pros: "This plane was the nicest plane I had ever been on. Very comfortable and the entertainment was amazing!"

Cons: "American Airlines has to be the worst airlines there is. It never fails that they try I Cath someone and try to pretend that their carry-on bagIs too big. They have this tiny little frame no reasonable carry-on could possibly fit into. Over and over again I see people including myself and my traveling companion’s having to check their carry-on bag because their “too big” this is nonsense. These are standard size bags. It’s more than enough space on board the plane. In a way in which the gate check individuals handle this interaction is a palling you’re insulting demanding and don’t give you a chance to rearrange your luggage so I can go into their absurd dimensions"

Cons: "AA's seats seem to have gotten thinner in recent years, so I find them less comfortable. There's no in-flight entertainment; you have to download the airline's flight app on your device and stream from there."

Cons: "Some of the flight attendants had an attitude and we not very personable to others. Just doing their job, ticking off the boxes. One was very kind, the others not so much."

Cons: "I was forced to check my bag bc the plane was “full” but when I got on there were more than 5 completely empty overhead bins. So now I’m waiting in baggage claim, after an already delayed flight, when there was absolutely plenty of room on board for my bag (which was of acceptable size)."

Cons: "Gate agent spoke so ridiculously fast and swallowed so many sounds that it was virtually impossible to understand most of what he was saying. Most importantly we all missed that our roll-on bags wouldn’t fight in the overhead bins. As a result many people pulled their bags on and fought and struggled to force their luggage above, only to give up. The on-board agents recognized early the problem and then proceeded to allow many other passengers to stroll by them with their large roll-on bags, only to delay the boarding process and frustrate everyone. When making their safety announcement the flight attendant was clearly competing for fastest speaking human and rushed through at blazing speeds. In all my 30+ years of travel, I’ve never heard anything like it."

Cons: "More than 24 passengers on the flight from LAX to Chicago lost their connection to Venice After we landed in Chicago with 2 hours delays we all run to catch our flight to Venice and we got there 5 minutes after the flight was supposed to leave but was still there instead but we were denied access and send back to customer service"

Streaming movies is still of a mystery to me, not an intuitive experience in any sense of the word. the sites AA provides to answer one's questions don't give any real guidance on 'how', just state what, kept pointing me to the app which doesn't have any menu item to view movies. took me well over ten minutes to find any helpful information."

Cons: "Deplaning at an inconvenient remote terminal with unattractive and minimal facilities, which involved waiting in a long line for a series of buses for transport to the main terminal. Arrival at the main terminal required climbing a flight of stairs. No in-flight food service offered except a choice between one cookie or one cracker."

Cons: "I am very frustrated that a single part could not be located in the early afternoon to allow the plane to fly. I will be late again for work and it seems to be American Airlines and not Delta that has all the delays or is late."

The extremely small overhead storage cabinets of the Canadair required many passengers to check normally acceptably sized carry-on bags after boarding and finding it impossible to fit. Waiting time for retrieving these on the ramp at the destination was excessive."

Cons: "Thought the first row seating would provide extra leg room which the reservation page said it would and we paid extra for the seats - not so. it also felt quite claustrophobic with a panel within a short distance of our faces. We had upgraded for better seats but it turns out the seating wasn't better at all. The flight home in seats much further back were MUCH more comfortable. I'm thinking the airline shouldn't book the front seats by the panel as 'better' for the extra price as they were definitely not."
