Pros: "I didn’t get on this flight. Due to the departure at LAX. It would’ve been nice to know that this was a possibility before the arrival. Although the ladies at Japan Airlines were able to get me on a later flight, it almost didn’t happen. But the kept making calls to help me. I’m very thankful they were able to get me on ANA flight at 8pm."

There was no support at the gate or clear leadership or direction of what needed to happen or what was to be done for the passengers They dumped everything in the Malaysian ground agents to handle without clear direction. Very poor service and no accountability"

We took a flight from NY to Tokyo and felt like it was one of the best long haul flights we have taken."

Overall really enjoyed our flying experience with jal and would fly with them again."
Cons: "The food for our return flight from haneda to Honolulu was definitely subpar compared to the food we had on our first jal Honolulu to Hong Kong flight (layover in narita). Also the plane was not as big and older so we didn't have the touch screen. We were quite impressed on our Honolulu to Hong Kong flight, then were a little let down on our haneda to Honolulu flight."

Only people at the front of the queue can see the correct places to stand, so many people were trying to push in the front of the queue because the signs weren't visible from some angles or from far away. Basically couldn't see the inflight safety videos from my seat (17K) because of the curvature of the overhead bins and positions of the few screens (no seat-back monitors)."

But when the ANA agents came out, they have no clue and serve the line of the people arriving later. Should know what they are doing. The turbulence announcement was made once in english and japanese by the auto-plane service followed by the crew announcing it again in both English and Japanese. The same was done with the duty free. The plane pressure also felt very strong and cause discomfort for the wife. The movie selection was solid (but badly organized) and the TV show selection wasn't terrible. It should all be better. Come on ANA! Contact me for recommendations."

Then we ran to the gate inky to find the gate was closed less than 2 minutes before we arrived. At least 20 others also missed the plane because of the lack of crew and long lines checking bags. It was frustrating, irritating, uncaring crew checking in, and a bit rude. Then on of my checked luggage was lost enroute - which made getting off the flights even later which made me miss a meeting that I was scheduled to be at. All because you didn't have the crew needed to check in."

While I understand there are some delays sometimes, this was the ONLY flight to Greensboro out of DCA, and the times kept changing throughout the day, even though the gate agents knew that the issue was that the crew was delayed. There should be backup crew available and when there are delays, the passengers should be kept informed. There should be other flight options available when this happens. I never received an apology from anyone I encountered throughout the process, and some personnel were rude even though I was polite."

Cons: "The layover in Boston was an hour or so, but the miscommunication between American Airlines and Iberia was such, that my luggage never left the US. I am very upset cause Iberia did not even provided any good ground help in Lisbon - Portugal, with the most rude personnel I ever had to deal with that was actually annoyed I was complaining they lost my luggage, they offer no assisatance."

Pros: "The Resolution team assisted me initially when I arrived to correct an issue from my online attempt. The agent printed bag checks for me to my final destination and told me how to get needed boarding pass for the final stage. How wonderful to have pleasant and professional personal attention."

Pros: "Boarded quickly. Seats were comfortable. Friendly flight attendants. It was a quick flight, no entertainment used. Only had a cookie and water for food. Don't know about the other things."

Pros: "The flight between WA D.C. And Phoenix went well. Very nice staff, orderly onboarding"
Cons: "Arrived in Phoenix and hurried to my next gate for the flight to Palm Springs only to discover a delay in the flight. No marguees were updated, no explanation just the plane had not arrived. Soon after we were told of a gate change, the marquee then said the flight would not arrive until 11 pm it is a one hour flight, so we actually arrived at 10 pm."

Cons: "Attempted to make my connection which was in another terminal. Could not get onboard as they shut the doors. My rerouted flight was in a different terminal. Overall a very disappointing travel experience."

Pros: "Crew was ok, did their best considering the circumstances, but even they were getting aggravated and were short with the passengers near the end."
Cons: "The Washington airport is horrible. The gate we left from was not a gate but a series of doors that buses came to. This wouldn't be so bad if they were able to handle it in an orderly way, but the airport showed complete incompetence in organizing anything and there were people everywhere trying to find the right door which kept changing on them, and the times kept changing...it was a mess. Then, when we finally got on the plane and were about to take off, the air traffic control tower called and said that their flight path was incorrect and to not take off...but didn't give them a new flight path for nearly two hours as we sat on the runway. Nationalize the airports in DC, fire the whole lot and start fresh, I'd say."

Pros: "The flight was short, only 1.35 hours."
Cons: "To start, the boarding process is a chaos. First class and executive platinums should board first, but of course the gate agent was completely clueless and rude, even to an ExPlat. Althiugh the flight is only 1.35 hours, I was surprised that flight attendants didn't even make an effort to offer a drink service. No turbulence or anything, just seems they were lazy."

Pros: "The crew was great. The flight attendants were pleasant and helpful and the pilot gave timely and useful announcements. The coffee and free cookies were quite good as well (surprisingly, especially for the coffee)."

Pros: "The head flight attendant was fantastic. I apologize I don't have her name, but she was courteous, which is a rarity these days when flying commercial."
Cons: "The boarding process was incredibly disorganized. There is poor spacing between the seating groups, which encourages a mob to stand right at the podium and rush the gate. Unlike United, which uses gates to separate Boarding Groups, American just leaves it to be a free-for-all that actually slows down the process and frustrates customers before anyone has boarded."

Pros: "Due to inclement weather, which I know is beyond the control of AA, I spent 10 frustrating hours of delayed, but then ultimately canceled flights. Followed by long customer service lines and "sorry buts" to flat out lying from gate attendants and stewardesses. I know most of the airlines do it but now that you are making a profit I think it's time to give back to the customer when weather complicates their travel. But most of all, please just give us the decency of the truth -- it sucks-- but we can handle it. Yes there will always be those out of control customers that scream and yell, but most of us, as what I witnessed-when it all breaks down--are chill and understand. Complimentary drinks. Coupons for a later flight. All hands on deck with crazy knowledge of the routes you fly to ease rebooking. I realize we as a people can't stop flying, whether it be for work or family needs, but you can't keep treating us like stupid cattle. Thank you whoever reads this for letting me express my frustration and thank you AA ultimately for getting me to my destination."

Pros: "From start to finish the flight faced problems: unscheduled stop for refueling, change in planes for mechanical problems, emergency medical intervention, and more. Yet at every stage the flight crew and gate staff did an outstanding job communicating and seeking to alleviate passenger woes. With delays, we missed connections, and yet AA worked wonderfully to find alternatives. At the end of the day, we arrived at our destination, and even our luggage made the trip successfully! Wonderful courtesy, adaptability, and determination to serve. Thank you."

Cons: "A child threw up in flight behind my wife and the crew let the parents clean it up. I thought the crew should have been more proactive."

Pros: "everything went by fast, a lot of turbulence but the pilot kept us in check the entire time."

Pros: "That we survived and finally got our luggage the day after we arrived."
Cons: "1) That we went to Toronto, but our luggage went to Montreal. 2) That my wife had to stay up the whole night calling everyone in their call center to find out what happened to our luggage. 3) We were charged for selecting our seats in the flight reservation process. 4) We were misdirected by an Air Canada rep for our return flight and this caused us to miss our connecting flight as well. 5) We ended up spending more than 12 hours at the airport for flying from Toronto to Washington DC."

Cons: "The aircraft was so small there was not enough room for even most standard size carry-ons. The crew were not patient and gave passengers attitude for trying to bring their carry-ons onboard. On the way back from Toronto, we were sitting on the runway for more than one hour waiting for "de-icing". If this is a recurring thing, why not time the arrivals and departures better to avoid making people sit there, disconnected from everything and waiting? Also the screen on my "entertainment center" was broken but thankfully I had my own book to read. Air Canada has not had the most welcoming crew or most up to date fleet in my experience; I fly with them mostly because of their cheap fares. I guess "there ain't no such thing as a free lunch"."

Cons: "Ended up missing this connecting flight to Calgary . Our plane left 45 minutes late from Phoenix because of a gas spill so when we got to Vancouver from Phoenix, we had to go through customs which took extra time. When we first landed in Vancouver and before we even got off the plane, we had 5 minutes to board onto our next flight which obviously was not going to happen. We rushed through customs and still might have been able to board our flight at the last possible minute except the staff at the airport led us to somehow get out of the secure area and have to go through security again before going to our gate. That took so much extra time. This never should have happened. When you get off the plane and have a connecting flight, there is always a way to get to the gate to board without having to go through security again. When we finally made it to our gate for our connecting flight, our plane had left and we were told to go to the air canada service desk. There was about 10 to 15 of us that had missed our connecting flight because of this so the 2 staff at the desk were trying to help us all but had to wait for their manager to come and confirm they could give us another flight which took quite a bit longer than I thought. We ended up getting booked on standby on a flight straight from Vancouver to Saskatoon in 2 hours which was our final destination, but never was told that because of all this headache, we should have grabbed our luggage. We thought our luggage was going to go on without us on the flight we missed but apparently if you do not get on your flight they don’t send your bags which makes sense. We also had thought for a second that maybe our luggage didn’t go on the flight from Vancouver to Calgary but if it didn’t then someone would most likely put it on the flight to Saskatoon. We should have asked about it but they should also have mentioned it when we were in a panic. And I understand you can’t put extra people on a flight that is booked, but what if the plane we were on standby for was full and we had to wait even longer .. could have taken us a day to get home when this wasn’t our fault we missed our flight, but was air Canada’s."

Pros: "My wife had injured her knee before our trip and was having difficulty walking. Air Canada provided wheelchair assistance every part of our airport transfers between Atlanta and Japan. Thanks so much !"

Pros: "I usually have a smooth experience with Air Canada. Haven't had any problems on board. Unfortunately I had a bad experience with my baggage."
Cons: "The check-in person said my baggage (oversized, and a keyboard) would make it through to my final destination even though I had another flight on a separate reservation. I specifically asked because I wanted to know if I needed to pick it up when I landed after the first leg in Toronto. He said I'd only have to go through customs and my bag will make it all the way home to Vancouver. Well, I felt weird about it and when I got off in Toronto I noticed that my baggage receipt said Toronto on it (not Vancouver). I decided to forego the connections gate because I was unsure. Lucky that I did because lo and behold, my keyboard bag was waiting for me at baggage claim. Had I trusted the check-in guy, I would've possibly lost over $1000 worth of equipment. That's not something that can easily be forgiven."

Cons: "the cabin of the plane on the return flight didn't have any air conditioning running during boarding and it was uncomfortably hot because it was about 85F outside. the crew only bothered to inform us of the issue when a poor hungover guy behind me asked about it because he was suffering... as were we all. plane didn't get comfortable until over 30 minutes in, at which point we were beginning our descent anyway."

Cons: "The plane was sitting at the gate for about an hour before we boarded (for a flight delayed by over an hour). Yet Air Canada didn't bother to go through the cabin and pick up garbage left in seat back pockets. The water in the washroom didn't work."

I've been on flights where the crew kindly gave out connection information, so this is lazy on Air Canada's part."

Cons: "On the flight from Portland to Vancouver, someone was allowed to board the plane and then leave, with no explanation, no accompaniment, and no way of contacting him. Consequently, our flight was delayed 3 hours while police and bomb squads checked the plane and all the baggage. Why was this person allowed to disembark in the first place? This occurred during boarding, so there should have been attendants there to stop him or at least ask him where he was going. And once he did disembark, why was no one able to track where he went? Seems like an odd security breach and, ultimately, a huge inconvenience for the passengers who remained on the plane."

Pros: "nothing particularly spectacular. The entertainment on the place is much better than most (since most don't have it) for such short flights."
Cons: "The place was delayed for over an hour for a 'maintenance issue' - what I dislike is lack of information being shared from the plane to people at the gate. Also when we are delayed for the airlines fault - customers should be given something - anything - a small voucher, or even a drink ect., this is not a weather issue. I think airlines have too much power making most terrible at customer service - air Canada is one of the worst ones."

It is making me think that I cannot trust the timing of your flights and as I am going to Paris through Montreal on Sept. 25th, I feel I should change my flight to give myself more time to make my flight to Paris. I currently have 1 hour and 5 minutes to make the flight. Do you think I should change my flight and will I be charged for it. Please advise."

Lights were going on and off, bells chimed each time someone leaned on the buttons. How stupid an oversight. I hope the aircraft's great safety systems they talk about during the pre-flight briefing are better thought out!"

Pros: "The flight was canceled very close to departure time and I was bumped to a flight leaving five hours later. Missed my train connection in Montreal and had to rent a car and drive to Quebec. Since I go to Canada only rarely, I ended up essentially losing the money I spent for train fare and having to pay another $145 for the rental car. Got to Quebec at 11:30 p.m. instead of 3:55 p.m. Not happy."

Pros: "1) Skycap service for boarding at Reagan National was exceptional. I requested wheelchair assistance for this return flight and the attendant gave 100% service, getting me through security and on to the boarding gate lounge area in short order. He was very pleasant and very helpful. 2) The pilots did a good job of flying, The flight was smooth as was the landing. We left Reagan a few minutes late but arrived at Pearson 16 minutes early. I liked that!"
Cons: "1) I paid extra money for a "preferred seat" because my recent hip replacement surgery required that I have ample leg room while sitting. Leg room for the first row econonomy seat I got was barely adequate. I felt cheated out of the $15 I paid for the seat (which should have been complimentary, in my opinion 2) Food service was terrible. For a 1 o'clock flight, having to get to the airport 2-3 hours ahead of departure, meant that I was in need of some serious food, not the tiny package of pretzels and the cup of tea I got. Even a couple of cookies or a muffin would have been a better offering. 3) The wheelchair assistance that I requested did not materialize for me on arrival at Pearson. I felt so cramped from sitting that I was eager to get up and try to walk, no matter how slowly, the distance to Customs and through to the exit gate to wait for my ride home. That's what I did, and I never saw a wheelchair attendant coming with a wheelchair as I exited. That is poor service! I am comparing this to the excellent service I got with American Airlines on the first leg of my trip from Toronto to DC."

Cons: "Ac canceled at last minute. Claimed we got txt and email which we did not. Only an offer to upgrade. Connecting Asian flight went without us at very substantial expense which ac denies is there resp because it was weather. Terrible desk attitude, long lines no communication to permit alternative planning."
