Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "On time!"
Pros: "The crew was amazing. One of the flight attendants Keddie deserves praise for bringing me snacks even after the main serving was over when I was sleeping."
Cons: "Boarding at JAC was done by walking to plane. Signage for the correct plane was absent, and some passengers were erroneously trying to board the wrong aircraft."
Pros: "Quick boarding"
Cons: "With flying there is nothing perfect all the time. I was able to sleep on the flight and had a place for my carry-on luggage. I wish unboarding was mad less complicated."
Pros: "The sanitizing of the aircraft was beyond expectations. The personal wipes were a plus so we could clean the areas around our seats to our satisfaction. The individual snack bags are a great idea to minimize handling. The boarding rear to front should have been in place years ago and the deplaning was about normal front to rear with distancing."
Pros: "We were very efficiently boarded, however there was a mechanical problem. The flight attendants helped every one know where their connecting gates were, as we have exactly 9 minutes to make that connection."
Cons: "We were very efficiently boarded, however there was a mechanical problem. The flight attendants helped every one know where their connecting gates were, as we have exactly 9 minutes to make that connection. We would like to give a shout out to the baggage team that were able to transfer our bags in such a short amount of time. And also to the San Jose flight that we did for four of us."
Pros: "The crew was polite and professional. Boarding went very smoothly and the flight left on time. Baggage was very quick when we arrived in Seattle as it was already coming out when we arrived in the baggage claim area."
Cons: "I would have like to have been offered disinfectant wipes to use on the food tray. Otherwise it was a perfect experience."
Pros: "Seat comfortable and the seatbelts actually fit!"
Cons: "Nothing relly"
Pros: "the plane didn't crash."
Cons: "honesty. 29 minute flight took 3 hours. first they blamed it on waiting for luggage, then they likely realized there were no connecting fllights, so that excuse didn't work, then they were 'closing the cargo doors' for 45 minutes, then they had to de-ice as the plane had now sat for 4 hours instead of 45 minutes, had it left on time."
Cons: "Delayed, seat didn’t recline"
Pros: "Crew friendly, attentive."
Cons: "Baggage connection between Delta and partner KLM not made and luggage left in Atlanta."
Pros: "Nothing to like."
Cons: "Cabin was way too hot despite complaining multiple times. Wi-Fi didn’t work the whole flight. The entertainment system was down. Seats uncomfortable. Inept crew. Worst flight I’ve ever taken."
Pros: "The planes are made for humans not for monkeys as in some other airlines. Leg space was way better."
Cons: "I wish you could make your ticketing categories simpler. It is too complicated and cumbersome. May be you have a new category of over 75 olds."
Pros: "The crew was attentive and personable"
Cons: "for a long ride maybe better cushions"
Pros: "The flight crew was great"
Cons: "I was left at a gate and wasn’t informed of the gate change. I was in a wheelchair and needed assistance. I was left and almost missed my flight. I arrived at the gate with 15 minutes before takeoff. The agent was very rude...she said my seat had been given away. After checking she was wrong."
Cons: "Best option across the pond"
Pros: "The crew was great."
Pros: "Some of the crew members talked loudly in the galley all night long. Mostly gossiping and complaining. We had the last seats next to the galley, so it was frustrating to not have quiet and be able to sleep. This was a flight run by Delta for Air France."
Cons: "The food was horrible."
Pros: "great flight attendant"
Cons: "Plane left without me because they don’t know how to put gas in the plane in Jackson"
Pros: "VERY small plane and small narrow seats"
Cons: "Yes...not change my flight at the last minute and causing me to miss my connecting flight. Then making me reschedule my flight with only options that I now have (2) layover and then arrive in Korea another day later, that then caused me to miss my college orientation day!"
Cons: "They my flight"
Cons: "Changed Gates and airplanes after about a 4-hour delay Toward end of flight, the main cabin FA announced she wouldn’t be accepting half-empty water bottles as trash because Flint MI doesn’t have clean water. After an inconvenience-filled day, I thought this was pretty poor service and out of line"
Pros: "Entertainment choices were excellent, many new movies available, so I was able to see movies is been meaning to watch. There were drinks available."
Cons: "The air vents barely trickle out any air anymore. No relief to be had. Airline crews say hi and goodbye but that doesn't make them friendly."
Cons: "A three hour delay on the first flight and a hour delay on the second..."
Cons: "8 hours waiting in airport for a flight that could have been canceled at 3pm and given us our day back. We are traveling as a couple and one of us has a medical procedure scheduled that can’t be canceled. The lack of preparedness for this weather situation is disheartening."
Pros: "The crew at the airport was very courteous and helpful."
Cons: "No food; not even offered water; I asked a Delta employee about our seats and she was very unprofessional (mind you I'm traveling with kids and my boarding pass said that seats were to be assigned at the gate)."
Pros: "A plenty trip!!!"
Cons: "The child behind me kicking my seat"
Pros: "Great staff, plenty of room, efficient snack and drink delivery, effluent boarding"
Pros: "It's a rather short flight. We grabbed 12A and 12B (should've gone for 10A and 10B when the choice was there) as knees started to hurt. Fine SLC lounge one is fine (mac-and-cheese, chicken, Baileys behind the bar, etc.) to make you happy prior to departure."
Cons: "No food, snacks are okay though so this is a wash considering it was a short flight. Sky priority bagging ... doesn't matter. We saw several other bags get unloaded along with ours. No Delta lounge at the destination (RNO)"
Pros: "Entertainment is so appreciated on long flights. It was quiet. Snacks done quickly. Took a long time to board, but the flight was full. We were delayed out of gate because of this. Unloading plane went fairly quick but could have been a problem for short connections. Those people should have been allowed to leave first."
Cons: "We boarded on time and were ready to leave the gate early. Somehow the pilot and air traffic controller managed to take 1 hour for de ice and takeoff even though we were 2nd in the queue. No excuse!"
Pros: "nice people"
Cons: "need more food and drinks"
Pros: "Quick flight"
Cons: "Paid $30 for wifi and it never worked. Would like a refund"
Pros: "Premium boarding breakfast sandwich pretty good"
Cons: "My screen stopped working in the middle of an episode."

Cons: "Wifi wasn't working for a while and it was a plane without screens"
Pros: "Crew was very nice, boarding went smooth and flight was on time... No complaints!"
Pros: "was comfortable to be able to sleep"
Cons: "delayed start"
Pros: "Layout of aircraft."
Cons: "USB port barely accessible. Also, it didn't seem to work."
Pros: "How can airlines help screaming children?"
Cons: "Screaming child on plane for 30 minutes have me a headache- perhaps flight attendants could offer something like coloring books or stickers to help in the future. When I got too baggage claim the baggage claim not listed. Ticket agents declined to help, so I was walking all over try g to find which claim area to go to which was frustrating."
Pros: "WiFi wouldn't work. Dark skin Asian flight attended had a shitty attitude. Would tell me FOR SURE if they would be set I g alcohol and was rude about it."
Cons: "No delays."
Pros: "I am not one who enjoys flying. I don't think there ever will be a time that I enjoy flying. However, the pilot, stewards, and all other workers on delta were very nice."
Cons: "I don't like flying so there really wasn't anything I liked."
Pros: "Reminds of when air travel was a special event. The Salt Lake based crew was awesome. Cost to upgrade to 1st definitely worth it."
Cons: "Everything was great."
Pros: "As Scheduled, staff hospitality"
Cons: "+$25 extra each bag, seats not near travel companion"
Pros: "The Delta crew on the flight was wonderful - but the crew at ATL really shined. A huge amount of people for connections arrived at the same time and needed to get through customs and the staff were very calm and efficient in directing everyone and making sure the line moved."
Cons: "One of the men working the desk at the gate was rude & condescending to me. The other gate agent who was having us board (he was an ethnic man) was friendly & excellent."
Pros: "Fairly comfortable, seated in an exit row. It was an early flight on an A319. Always nice to have free seat back entertainment. Crew was friendly and accommodating."
Cons: "Flight was overbooked"
"There was no entertainment and again, the seats were very cramped and uncomfortable."
Cons: "This was the most uncomfortable flight of my life. We were packed in like sardines during COVID. This was the least amount of legroom I've ever had on a flight."
Pros: "Crew was great"
Cons: "Not operating in any way like there is a pandemic going on. Both overbooked flights. Put everybody too close together and then spouted a bunch of social distancing. All words no action. No sanitizer or wipes offered. No amenities."
Cons: "I think boarding from rear would facilitate faster boarding And eliminate people blocking Aisle ( standing in aisle and digging In their carryons preventing people From finding their seats further down the aisle. Also people with a connecting flight Pressed for time on their next flight Departure...Should be allowed to deplane first..so they don't miss their next flight."
Pros: "The crew and the service was excellent."
Cons: "The landing was very rough from Nashville to Dallas"
Cons: "No headphones and wifi was impossible"
Pros: "Nice crew"
Cons: "Very uncomfortable trip. Seat were weird and neck pain We waiting on the plane for more than 30mn before departure"
Cons: "Flight delayed three hours."
Cons: "4 delays.. weather suc’s when trying to fly"
Pros: "On time professional staff"
Cons: "Old plane for this fight."
Pros: "Friendly service, quality new airplane, American airlines has improved a lot!"
Pros: "Great Airport and easy access to the gates and transportation."
Pros: "The staff were polite and the pilot kept us on time. The flight wasn’t over booked and I was able to have an extra seat between myself and the other passenger in my row."
Cons: "That due to the Kayak purchase I had to wait until the last group to board."
Cons: "NOT ENOUGH SPACE FOR THE LEGS, I serioulsy doubt that it was the size that the sold in the info when I booked (armrest blocked), the seat to small (I couldn't put my head because it was too much short). Paintful, the worst experience in my life,"
Pros: "The fact that they re-booked without me having to contact customer service."
Cons: "The connecting flight was cancelled while boarding was in progress at the start of the journey."
Pros: "It was fine. Just not anything great."
Cons: "Many groups were not seated together. at the airport I asked if my husband and I could be put together . One worker seemed interested in helping, but another rudely butted in and said there "were no seats together, the flight was full." Come to find out the flight was not full, there were whole rows not full. The groups near our seats rearranged ourselves so we could be by our family members, so it worked out. No thanks to the person at the terminal. Really long walk from the gate to the plane. No food on a cross country flight. Only a few cups of water/soda and a cookie. which unfortunately is typical now days. The lights were off the whole trip. The captain kept turning on the seat belt sign for the turbulence. Which there was a lot of. But then he would announce for everyone to go back to their seats. It wasn't huge bumps, just a little rough. and it woke everyone up by announcing it multiple times."
Pros: "The counter attendant was helpful in changing our seats so could sit together."
Cons: "The flight attendant when first boarding was extremely rude. We had a bag we brought on three previous legs of our total travel which was considered by all of the other attendants as a personal item. This particular attendant very rudely informed us it was not, and we needed to check it. When we tried to explain the previous flights she responded with “I just explained this to the other passengers...it’s not allowed.” We didn’t argue, and gave the bag to the personnel in attendance, but the tone for the duration of the flight continued."
Cons: "I had already landed late from Budapest, and therefore missed my connecting flight to Raleigh, so I was put on a different flight to Raleigh via Philadelphia. Only, my new flight from London was delayed by one hour, causing me to land late in Philadelphia, and miss my new connecting flight to Raleigh. I was put on a different flight, but there was no seat for me, so I ended up being stuck at the airport overnight. All these in one day!"
Pros: "Left close to time and arrived early"
Cons: "Wifi was offered, but could not get it connected."
Pros: "Mechanical issues caused a 75 minute delay in taking off."
Cons: "Several delays"
Pros: "Liked the service and food"
Cons: "Seats are tight and foot legroom is tight too"
Cons: "Plane was old and dirty, seat pocket had junk in it. Seat was broken and couldn’t stay up. In flight movies were from few years back with a center tv and no head rest screen. Crew on overseas flights tend to be older in age and less tolerant..much better on continental on the same route."
Pros: "Another typical domestic flight. Nothing special. Pretzels were the only snack."
Cons: "No entertainment and nowhere to charge electronics."
Pros: "Smooth ride, checked in online, electronic boarding pass, going through security - a breeze. Was little apprehensive because I heard bad things about AA - my 1st experience was good."
Pros: "Very punctual; courteous crew. Ver smooth ride"
Cons: "Nothing. It was excellent."
Pros: "The crew were wonderful! Everyone was polite and accommodating. The entertainment available was on point. The food was both tasty and offered often."
Cons: "The seat were ok. There was not enough legroom, but honestly no airline has enough unless its business of first class. The Wi-Fi availability was misleading, though it did not advertise that it was free."
Pros: "Service was good"
Cons: "Seats were very small and very tight bags did not stow under seats like usual"
Pros: "Entertainment was good."
Cons: "AA lost my luggage for several days. This is unacceptable. It required my wife and I to spend money on items that were unnecessary. We could not obtain good information on whether they were lost or mis-routed. The worry of whether we should buys clothes, toiletries, etc. was a daily concern. Way to ruin a customer's vacation."
Pros: "The flight was equal to AA service I have had on a regular basis."
Pros: "Fast and early"
Cons: "Tv screens kept freezing"
Pros: "The newer plane is the only nice thing."
Cons: "This service is terrible. We had to run and practically knock people over to get to this flight. After being stuck in Dallas at the beginning of our trip. There is nothing organized about this company. And no concern for their customers. We heard different things from every single employee we talked to."
Cons: "we had to wait for the 4th flight attendant for almost 3h in la. The Crew at the gate wasn't even able to make proper announcements. The plane didn't provide charging stations for your devices, I would expect for a flight like this that you either have screens on each seat or you're be able to charge your devices"
Pros: "entertainment displays on the back of every seat headrest. Nice room on Main Cabin Xtra, even with someone in the middle seat."
Cons: "1 of the flight attendants was pushy(older caucasian lady)"
Pros: "Seating was surprisingly comfortable (S80). Left the gate about 4min early. Arrived at destination about 18min early. Full can of soda/juice offered rather than a single cup."
Cons: "Limited overhead storage (S80)."
Pros: "Arrived safely and captain had good communication."
Cons: "Gate agent closed door and left the gate at least 15 minutes before departure, so when myself and other passengers arrived no one was there to board us, then she got upset at us. Tray table in 11F was broken. Catering delayed the flight, and never showed."
Pros: "The "very" new 777-200 was very comfortable, well-laid out. I usually skip or leave half of the in-flight food served, but this rates as one of the best meals, I've had in an airplane outside of business class. The in-flight entertainment/information service was decent, but perhaps because the plane was still in new condition."
Cons: "On this entire business trip, I booked with other companies, but ended up 5 flights operated by American Airlines. One cancellation, 4 delayed, 3 late arrivals. The last one was the most annoying. I will be avoiding AA in the future. The domestic crews are generally brusque and miserable. The international flight crews were more accommodating and pleasant, but most of them also seemed annoyed at passenger presence. Also, having to pay for a preferred seat on a half-empty airplane is simply unfair. By 24hrs before the flight, AA must have known there were plenty of empty seats."
Cons: "Inattentive flight attendants, overhead space was not well managed. Cash only"
Pros: "I had to fly at 11:19pm I had a delay flight leaving at 2:00am . The flight was change from Lima to Miami and from Miami to Chicago not to Dallas"
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Lot of movement"
Pros: "Extended legroom upgrade was worth it. I could actually open my laptop and got a lot of work done. Too bad the plane not have 120V plug to charge up or Wifi Arrived safely."
Cons: "- Took 2 hours to get through check in and security - ridiculous. Check in was disorganized and inefficient. People queued to use the kiosks. Firstly, there were too few kiosks, with several unused and at least one was offline. We then waited again for an extended period of time to drop of bags which should be less than 5 min. Please take lessons from Lufthansa - they really know what they are doing. This was one of the worst arrangements in the world. - One of the flight attendants, not all, seems quite bothered to serve us. I don't appreciate that. - No Wifi available - Flight was delayed"
Pros: "On time, easy boarding"
Cons: "Too cold."
Pros: "I was welcomed and make right at home"
Cons: "Did not like having to stay overnight in Charlotte but weather can do that to a traveler."
Pros: "Very smooth"
Cons: "I didn't not like anything."
Cons: "Lengthy delay due to a broken seat. Missed connection then the next plane had an equipment issue. Had to deplane after 40 min and wait on a new plane. Every flight has had an equipment issue causing a major delay. I'll never fly American Airlines again."
Pros: "Aircraft comfort and entertainment options"
Pros: "Overall, I liked the experience. Usually, I fly with southwest but I liked the price and comfort with American."
Cons: "Deley for 30 minutes on take off 10 minutes on landing"
Pros: "The safety"
Pros: "Again just a small jumper, can't expect much, but a day late due to AA"
Cons: "Back home just 5 days out and back, just 2 days of flights, 3 flights late or missed because of AA. fly anything but American Airlines."
Pros: "For a flight on a US-based airline, this was very comfortable. Much better than the current domestic tin cans. Flight was early"
Cons: "Flight crew giving instructions seemed to be forgetting everything and breaking in every 2 minutes to add a new sentence."
"Everything was on time and staff was great"
"Very clean flight. The attendants were very helpful and patient!"
"On time flights would be better"
Cons: "Denver airport policy kept us on the ground for about an hour because of lightning somewhere that was supposedly heading towards the airport but never showed up. The crew did what they could for the comfort of the passengers - gave out A water & A snack (except really turning on the air conditioning)."
Pros: "I really liked American Airlines and delta for picking up the slack for United"
Cons: "We could have got on 1 United flight. Every flight by United was either canceled or delayed to the point that forced us to miss our connection. Out of 4 originally booked United flights we made zero. We had to be out on delta and American to make our trip happen. Never again United"
Pros: "The cabin temperature was hot before and during the flight."
Cons: "Cabin temp."
Cons: "Everything flight cancelled promised hotel voucher then they did not"
Pros: "Our first experience with Budget travel, no bags, no carry on luggage."
Cons: "We expected little and got it."
Cons: "25 minutes late due to having to wait for galley to be stocked. Left the ramp and sat another 15 minutes on the tarmac. Never happened to me on Delta."
Pros: "Seats better, newer."
Cons: "Attendants were not as friendly as other flights"
Pros: "Efficient once we got going"
Cons: "One of the flight attendants was slurring a lot... and they must not have had much time in between flights because we were 20 min delayed after hearing they had to get food."
Cons: "Cleaner. On time"
Pros: "The crew was great."
Cons: "There were no phone chargers and no snacks."
Pros: "Very nice and showed concern for safety. That made me feel good."
Cons: "No in flight DirecTV"
Cons: "They overcrowded the flight in the middle of a global pandemic which shows they only care about making money and they do NOT care about the health and safety of their passengers."
Cons: "Many other travelers were not wearing their masks and the flight was completely packed."
Pros: "Easy boarding process and the flight was almost 30 minutes early"
Cons: "the wifi kept kicking me off while I was watching their in flight entertainment"
Pros: "Good flight, but pretty jammed in."
Cons: "Coach seats were definitely not comfortable"
Pros: "Very friendly and helpful crew!"
Cons: "Beverage and food was not available on a few of my flights. And neither was in seat entertainment."
Cons: "Flight over an hour delayed due to staffing. Leaving me delayed to a Covid19 testing site that is down."
Pros: "The reps at customer service were very nice and helpful. Kudos to them"
Cons: "I missed my flight to Grand Junction the night before because my plane from Dulles was delayed. So, consequently I had to spend the night in Denver. I was not pleased with that at all."
Pros: "Read above"
Pros: "Good crew"
Cons: "This flight had no snacks or drinks and was also delayed what else is there to say."
Pros: "Staff was all friendly and exhibited positive and helpful attitudes. I also think the price and route was an excellent deal for this flight. It was actually such a good deal, it’s the main reason I even went."
Cons: "I think the baggage restrictions thing is really slimey and a shameful scam. I actually wouldn’t have minded paying around $50 more for my ticket and hand the bag included than be misled into thinking I could take luggage and finding out after it’s too late that I have to pay for my luggage. I think it’s a really sleazy business tactic (akin to resort fees). Fortunately for me however, I don’t travel with luggage so it doesn’t directly affect me. Still think it’s. Shitty way to do business though."
Pros: "Ease of boarding and good communication from pilot"
Cons: "Flight attendant was gruff when communicating. She seemed angry when providing information. It was a short flight, so not a lot was offered, which was totally fine. However, when she walked down the isle with water, she appeared to be looking at the ceiling and didn’t stop to check if many people wanted water, including me."
Cons: "I didn't go on my trip. My course in SF was cancelled and United would n't refund my money or change the dates for my trips because of there basic economy package. They have 3 different economy packages and the economy basic doesn't get refunds and you can't change the flights if needed. It feels like they are banking on increasing there ROI with this basic economy ticket which is 40 -60 dollars cheaper than the next economy package. Intuitively they know people will pick that, but if something comes up the customer is screwed."
Pros: "We were forced to re-book this leg of our trip because of "insufficient" layover time. The United Airlines staff helping the numerous customers that were forced to re-book were not friendly, did not function with any sense of urgency and were as minimally helpful as possible with the inconvenience. After exiting customs we had 30 minutes to get to our gate, instead of offering to take us to the front of the line to get through security faster we were simply told we would not get through it in enough time to make our flight. Initially we were not even told we were going to be re-booking our flight, we were only told that we needed to re-check our bags at the counter after exiting customs. The entire interaction was very frustrating."
Pros: "I went to go talk to an employee about my flight boarding without me, when an Edwin Rodriguez of EWR New Jersey United Airlines employee started screaming at me. He told me to “wake up” and go run after my flight then while going after my flight he yells at me to come back. He apologized a few minutes later and then proceeds to yell at me again. My flight was canceled and reset for a later time. I have prior medical conditions that Edwin Rodriguez agitated through consistently harassing me at the help desk and am now in distress. I’m being relocated due to active duty military service and this is how you treat military veterans and their families."
Cons: "Edwin Rodriguez of the EWR airport in New Jersey. If I screamed whenever I didn’t get my way I’d be arrested. I will never fly United Airlines again because of Edwin Rodriguez."
Pros: "The crew did the best they could with the situation"
Cons: "My flight was delayed for an hour so that the plane after having to change planes needed to be filled with gas. It was a long wait in a very small space. Never uncomfortable. We also waited on the plane with any notice of how long we would be sitting."
Pros: "I bought extra leg room which was worth it given we were delayed.."
Cons: "The flight was very late getting in and the one attendant was not very good on follow up and seemed grouchy The other attendants were nice. My Hemisphere Magazine only showed the snack meals as a page was missing so I barely got any food and United ran out of food totally before reaching my travel companion. United needs to plan for more food on long flights during the day."
Cons: "When I was boarding the flight from Denver to Jackson the ticket agent was extremely hostile and rude. I was carrying a back pack and a small purse strapped across my shoulder which was maybe 4"x6". He shouted at me after I had handed in my ticket and started down the gangway that my purse needed to be in my backpack. I have never heard of such a thing in all my years of travel. I complied and started to put my purse into my backpack when he shouted at me "Ms. Derbyshire get back here now! You cannot be past the counter!" Your employee was rude, hostile and made me very upset as well as the other passengers waiting to board. Later other passengers who witnessed the event told me how upset they were. Sadly this is not the first time I have had issues with United. Clearly this type of behavior is in your culture. There is no need to shout at anyone."
Pros: "The flight was good and we arrived on time, despite the fact we left Denver late. Didn't buy any food."
Cons: "The Entertainment choices on this flight were lousy...I also didn't like the fact that I had to buy Economy Plus because my wife and I were not only not assigned seats together after booking, we were not assigned seats at all. When I booked the flights I was only allowed to choose seats for the first flight - Charlotte to Houston...but not for the other three legs of our Charlotte to Seattle trip. The only two seats together from Houston to Seattle were in the very last row. And, on our return flight we had to purchase Economy Plus in order to sit together."
Pros: "The Captain kept us apprised of the delays in our flight."
Cons: "How the Denver airport has their gates set up for 77/78/79 and others, having to walk down stairs? then down a long hallway to go out on the tarmac to board the plane, then when having to deplane, repeat what we had just done in reverse, some customers were traveling with small children/babies, no offer to help these people were made, except to tell them they could use the elevator. Thought it was ridiculous that we had to go all the way to original gate when we were told we would be loading again on the gate next to the one we just came in from."
Cons: "EVERYTHING. My flight was originally scheduled for 650p. I understand that weather can cause delays. That's OK. However, the flight departure kept getting shifted. We ended up boarding for a 9:58p departure. I was told there was no more overhead space for my bag and forced to check it. When I got on the plane at 930p, there was clearly enough overhead room for my bag. I'm not sure why I was forced to check it. We then sat from 930p to 958p. We pulled away from the gate and then were told that we had to wait another 20 min. We turned off the engine and then waited until sometime between 1130-45 ON THE AIRPLANE on the runway. Is this even legal?? We finally took off and landed at 115a PST. I waited for 35 min for my bag that they forced me to check. They loaded our bags onto the wrong carousel, which caused all of us to be waiting for our bags in the wrong place for 10 minutes. This was the worst experience I've ever had flying. It wasn't the delay but the lack of clarity, being forced to sit on that plane for hours, and having my bag taken. I got to the airport in Denver at 550p PST and got home to SF at 3a PST for a 2 hour flight."
Pros: "On time boarding"
Cons: "Older model plane had no TVs so had to rely on United Wi-fi which was not working for 90% of the flight. At least 6 overhead bins were locked, which lead to decrease overhead carry on space. Front desk had already boarded all 5 groups before realizing there was not enough overhead compartment space causing at least 50+ passengers to circle back to the plane door to check in their baggage. Flight crew and passengers had to hastily reshuffle overhead luggage causing inefficient boarding process and confusion during unboarding process. Baggage claim went to a different carousel than the one stated."
Pros: "No positives"
Cons: "Flight was delayed by 3+ hours... In this order... • United system went down • when it came up instead of us next they let a later flight go next • then they moved our gates • then they changed planes so all luggage needed to be moved • then their flight crew timed out, so couldn't leave • I didn't want to end up at my desination at 4am in the morning or later so it would completely screw up my sleep/work schedule, so I left, ate the cost and the time and rebooked on another airline"
Pros: "There was nothing good to like about this leg of my trip."
Cons: "I paid for first class and It was the worst flight I have ever been on, sat in the plane at the gate for over an hour with a huge women that was brought up to1st class from economy, she smelled, she was a lush. There was a child that did not quit crying the entire flight, I could not get off the plane fast enough, there was nothing1st class about the flight, we needed fuel after we boarded, then it was a cargo issue, and then it was airport, we should not have been on the plane until the plane was ready for flight.very poor planning you should be embarrassed about the flight."
Pros: "Online confirmation"
Cons: "My seat assignments were changed and we were at the end of the plane next to the bathroom. I know I didn't put those. I don't like the fact that you have to pay for baggage and there is no food provided other than a drink and some really poor substitute even for peanuts. Southwest at least allows you to have a free baggage. It's not the fault of the pilot but it also is very bumpy. The flight crew was fine and it's just the uncomfortable aspects of having my seat assignment changed and the extra charges for anything that makes it comfortable."
Pros: "The flight left on time and we got to our destination early."
Cons: "The flight crew. They stood in the back area of the plane and chatted extensively instead of collecting trash, etc."
Pros: "Brand new plane!"
Cons: "The crew knew multiple people on the Hayden to Denver flights had very limited wait time to get from plane to terminal, but took forever in delivering our luggage for plane side pick up. When I asked the lady who came by to let us know of our gates, she pretty much told me, 'good luck'. I picked up my bag with 10 mins to spare to run from gate 86? to 24. I think more should have been done to accommodate. To be fair, the other lady who came by to let us know of our gates, offered to call my terminal and let them know I was on the way"
Pros: "Friendly staff"
Cons: "The fact that we had a connecting flight to minot from Denver. Arrived late to Denver because of weather, but my stroller that I had left on the jetway in Seattle was never put on the plane which I didn't know until I got to minot. I was going to wait for it in denver, but I would have missed my flight to minot had I waited 5 more minutes. We arrived to minot only to find out that our 3 suitcases, one stroller and 2 car seats were never in the flight. Awful! And my connecting flight was even delayed an extra 55 min so I don't quite know where my things are."
Cons: "Planes have mechanical issues, but they could have done more things at the same time like reboard while the post repair system checks ran and sort out baggage weights so that there weren't delays on top of delays. That was after not noticing issues with the plane until after waiting for late passengers and taxiing out. We arrived 4hrs late for a 3hr flight. They also only had one agent to rebook flights and assign hotels at the end even though they had hours to know the connections would be missed."
Pros: "the customer service rep was very professional and helped us out."
Cons: "my girlfriend and I were removed from the plane. she had received troubling news from her family that kept stacking on, not to mention we were tired from traveling all day thanks to delays making us miss our flights. and when we gestured for an attendant to come by, light dark skin, facial hair, glasses. he had customer service come by and we reiterated the question if we decided we would like to get off the plane would it be possible to receive a voucher for the flight. but we told him that we were just trying to consider options and we were good to go, and the customer service told us that the attendant did not feel comfortable with us on the plane, and that my girlfriend reached out and touched him and he did not feel safe. we never even raised our hands our eye brows. they caused us all kinds of hell, we couldn't get another flight till 2210, they embarrassed and humiliated my girlfriend because she was crying. unacceptable."
Pros: "The employees were very helpful on both legs of the journey and the conneting flights were conveniently located in the same area. Pilot was good about letting us know time frame of mechanical issue repair while on tarmack."
Cons: "The seats were incredibly uncomfortable. Must be the type of plane because never really had issues on other flights. We noticed many carry on bags others brought on bosrd were oversized. On leg from Kalispell to Denver the crew were diligent in spotting larger bags and tagging them for under plane storage for the flight. From Den to SFO however not so much. This led to most bins being filled ahead of our group 4 boarding with larger than permitted carry on bags. Obviously larger! Luckily we were able to put our smaller bags (which we made sure fit to overhead storage specs ahead of time) under the seat for flight but that made an uncomfortable 2.5 hour journey. Actually over 3 hrs because there was a mechanical problem which had us sitting on the tarmack for over 30 minutes from Den to SFO. We've flown United before without much incident but this trip in particular was pretty crappy."
Cons: "I Purchased 2 round trip tickets for myself and my son. My son had a change of plans and purchased another one way ticket to leave a week earlier. So his first leg of my purchase was not used. They resold that seat on May 27. So they made money Twice on that seat. Then when we checked in to return on 15 June. We were told his ticket had been cancelled and I had to purchase another ticket for his return. The flight was NOT sold out. My entire row of seats was empty. So I paid for 2 seats for the same flight. This is theft, coming and going and I am calling my lawyer!"
Pros: "On time and even more comfortable seats"
Cons: "No sparkling lime water"
Pros: "The flight was on time, and the attendants courteous."
Cons: "However, the seats were so cramped, it was pretty miserable, even for just a 2 hour flight. With no snacks even offered because of turbulence, and no working wifi or seat back TVs, there was nothing to distract from how uncomfortable we all were. Plus, Austin's airport layout requires travelers to walk awfully far to get bags and then a rental car. Don't dare be disabled or feeling unwell--you'll never make it! Of course our gate was furthest from baggage claim, & someone's has to be. Nevertheless, it's a terrible layout, w/ pedestrians pushing through boarding queues and where others are lined-up to buy food."
Cons: "On April 15 we flew from Sacramento to Basel, via Los Angeles and Munich. We did exactly what we were told re reserving seats. We were told to call 23 hrs. in advance to reserve seats. When we tried to follow directions, we were not able to check in. Without checking in, we could not reserve seats. After numerous phone calls, to various numbers, we were not able to check in or reserve seats. By continuing to ask questions, to try and understand, we were told we were "under airport control". This was an "at random" situation and online check in was not available. Only 5 minutes earlier, we were still being instructed to check in online! We had never heard of this. I contacted a neighbor, who flies often internationally and within the U.S. He said it had happened to him once. He agreed that driving to the airport in Sacramento was a wise decision. This is not what we wanted to be doing 1 day before departure. At Sacramento we found a kind gentleman who saw our dilemma and checked us in as a favor. We saw assigned seats. He suggested we request to improve our seats the following travel day. It was a very challenging morning. As I tried to improve our seating the following day I was told, by airport staff, that this happened because we booked through Kayak? Rather with an attitude that we should have booked differently. This was a vacation we had looked forward to for years. I worked hard at not letting this difficult start damage my trip. Upon arrival in Amsterdam, I tried to learn more, to prevent a similar situation on the way home."
Cons: "I did not like having to check my carry on after all. I was told the overheads were full so I could get it in Baggage after the trip. For health reasons I did not want the trip to baggage and I did not want to risk my bag being lost. I drive 3 hrs o the airport and I did not want to drive back or wait 3 days for a lost bag to be sent to me as I have before. The person at the gate was rude when I said you won't lose my luggage will you? he said Probably. I said really, and he said well you did ask."
Pros: "Boarding was quick."
Cons: "The flight was packed and I was seated between two strangers during a pandemic. Very irresponsible. This will affect my decision to fly frontier in the future."
Pros: "Crew was nice. Clean plane."
Cons: "Changed gates 3 times at the last moment. 0 social distancing. Flight was overbooked. Most middle seats were filled. Fly another airline if possible."
Pros: "The crew was willing to move me to an empty row"
Cons: "No in flight WiFi. Seats were not adjustable"
Pros: "The pilot was excellent at considering and comunicating to passengers, when seatbelt needed or not for bathroom breaks, landing time, etc.. Crew was friendly and comunicated well. Boarding and getting off plane was smooth. Also, I had three seats to myself."
Pros: "Crew was wonderful. Flight was crowded, and there was a screaming child nearby for half the flight."
Cons: "It’s just the way things are. Wearing a mask is stressful and hot in close quarters."
Pros: "We got to the destination"
Cons: "Not paying for hard seats. packed in like sardines."
Pros: "Wish I could think of something to write here."
Cons: "The on-line purchasing process did not function correctly. Was forced to call customer service and the rep I spoke with kept confusing departing and returning flights. The plane was late. My special zone 2 only boarding time was skipped and lumped with zone 3. The plane then had to wait for additional maintenance. The plane appeared to be... ancient. "Unlimited" coffee... was limited to two cups. A kid stuck a sex toy to the interior ceiling of the aircraft and despite a 10" purple silicon dildo hanging down, no staff member said a word."
Pros: "They got us there and the flight crew was again pleasant."
Cons: "The 1/2-hour delay out of San Jose, followed by a 3.5 hour delay in Denver. The gate staff and the Customer "Disservice" staff that were condescending, rude, and knew nothing about why we were delayed. "It just says station delayed. I have no idea what that is. We'll tell you when the new departure time is when we know it." The hours without any update of status so we had no idea if we could leave the gate area to get something to eat and drink. The gate agent who stared at the passengers like each was a major inconvenience to her day while she chatted with the tall good looking passenger and was all smiles. Loved getting home at 2am rather than 11 pm when we were supposed to arrive. Made that 2 hour drive home so much more fun! Thanks, Frontier!!"
Pros: "Nothing to like."
Cons: "Me & my wife arrived 3 hours early for our flight. During that time waiting to check our baggage, there were 3 arguments between employees and customers at 3 different times. After checking in and waiting at the terminal for our flight which supposed to leave at 12:55AM was delayed to 3AM. The flight ended up to being cancelled after everyone got in the plane. About 5-15 minutes all passengers was told to exit the plane. There were only one frontier employee who was working at the at the gate after we all exited. This specific employee said the manager had told all other frontier employees to go home. Me and my wife were really upset about this situation. It took a very long time for the employee to deal with all passengers refunds to changing flights. This had affected our flights to MkE because my wife mother was in her death bed to passing away today. The way things were handled during the flight on this day was a horrible experience. We then bought our flights from southwest after all this hectic morning."
Cons: "The ticket was cheap so of course we booked asap! Additionally you pay for your seat, some airlines there is free options, sometimes not. But with the price of your seat and ticket with any other airline, it comes with a free carry on bag and even some small free snacks on the flight. Nope. Pay extra hefty fees for small carry on, and of course pay extra for peanuts or even water. So after everything, it’s the same price as any other airline. At least delta has TV or United has snack options or American has decent leg room. Didn’t like either Frontier plane I flew on. Now I know for the future, it’s not as cheap as I thought."
Pros: "Flight was only 2 hours."
Cons: "Seats are very uncomfortable. Tray table can barely fit 1 water bottle. The have taken the standard tray table and made it into something that is basically worthless. Forget trying to use a laptop or even a tablet to work. They charge for everything and now ask you to tip your flight attendant for handing you a water that costs $3.00. Will avoid Frontier at all costs in the future. Seats are thin, hard and so close together. No room between seats. Seats do not recline unless you are in emergency exit room. If you want to select your seat during check-in, they charge you extra. Even for a seat in the last row on the plane was an extra $5 just to select it. Seats closer to the front were an extra $25, but these are not better seats or offer more room, just the ability to get off the plane faster after landing. Carry on baggage cost extra and checked bags are $40. After paying for baggage, seats, a water on a round trip, the low cost turned out to be more expensive than another carrier with seats that are more comfortable and gave you more room between seats, entertainment and a free soft drink or water."
Cons: "They gave our captain to an Atlanta flight. We had to wait for another captain to get to DIA. Then we got loaded up and had to wait for the east gate to open, then they had to map out another plan I.e., the northeast gate (and that didn't materialize) soooo we sat on the plane until we receive the okay to depart on "the east gate". Which was approximately 21:30. We finally arrived at approximately 01:00 a little more than hour late. It took better than 30 minutes for us to get our luggage. Stupid crazy that a person is paying ridiculous prices for pitiful customer service."
Cons: "The captain of the flight was running late. We had already boarded when we found out that the captain wasn't going to make it and that they were on hold with scheduling to try and find a replacement. Half an hour later they had us de-plane. From there we waited around for another 2 hours before a replacement was able to make it. They had us board again, and then we were waiting on ground crew to come push us back from the gate for another 20 minutes. It was a disaster. We got into Seattle almost four hours later than we originally should have. The attendants were short with all of us. Granted there were quite a few people who were being nasty. I understand that it wasn't in their control. But customer service is. They all fell short."
Pros: "The crew had a smile and were friendly."
Cons: "Look, it's a budget carrier. I get that. But I add a bag to my flight and my ticket is now what it would have cost to fly Southwest. I'm 6'4", and I *barely* fit into the seats. My knees touched the seat in front of me the whole flight. And the seats don't recline. To make everything just perfect, they lost my luggage on the flight home, and the lady who worked with Frontier who took all 15 (?) of us who had lost luggage over to make a claim said "this is normal for flights coming from Denver - it's a hub for Frontier, so luggage gets misplaced all the time." I'm sorry, that's not acceptable as an answer. I've never had a lost bag while flying with others, so that's what I will do from now on."
Cons: "I was not on this flight. Despite the fact that my ticket was clearly for this flight, I ended up on a flight to Charlotte, not Raleigh. I do not know how this happened. Yes, perhaps I could have been more careful in the middle of the night while making a mad dash from one flight to the next. But how is it possible that Frontier can scan my ticket and not notice that I'm about to board the wrong flight? How is it possible that their computer system didn't alert them that I was about to board a flight for which I did not have a ticket? It seems more likely that the person who scanned my ticket wasn't paying attention."
Cons: "The Flamingo. We began our vacation with Frontier Airlines on a note of apparent tension between the attendants and boarding passengers. Having not been a frequent flyer, I assumed that this was normal in post 9/11. The male attendant had a cold demeanor, until he was chatting up passengers to buy snacks and drinks. Why sell bar drinks when there is enough disorderly conduct in the air? The plane was cold, noisy and the outside air currents were choppy. No conversation from the pilot was forth coming as to what to expect during the flight. Then there was a the Master Card Commercial. It's bad enough to be crammed into a noisy old plane, but to have to be subjected to a lengthy pitch for a credit card is inexcusable. Sandra Fliniau flight 04-09-2017"
Cons: "Flying home from the Denver Airport (frontier's headquarters) was the ABSOLUTE WORST TRAVELING EXPERIENCE EVER. The Frontier Rep at check-in *Martha, female rep at the Denver Terminal* was incredibly rude, demeaning, and insulting to me. Although I had already checked in online before arriving to the airport, already paid for my checked bag and seat reservation ahead of time, she refused to take my checked bag as it was 3 min past the deadline. As I explained, I already checked in and prepaid, she rolled her eyes at me and said that "because you are trying to check in late you crashed my computer", muttered degrading words under her breath (that I could still hear) as we walked to another computer. I asked to be rescheduled for a later flight, or even send my checked bag out on a later flight, or even mail my checked bag via ups or usps; your Frontier rep told me "your bag is not my problem". She then said the only way to get home was "tomorrow or the day after that". I fully understand the 45 minute deadline. I accept that I missed that cut-off by 3 minutes. I do not understand how a paying customer could be treated so horribly, so disrespectfully. I have tried to get my money back for the checked bag fee and the seat reservation fee, since I never even was allowed to get on the flight; however, frontier repeatedly tells me they are unable to do this. I have never been treated this way and I will never fly Frontier again. I will warn any friends, family, or colleagues of my terrible experience and encourage them to NEVER FLY ON FRONTIER EVER."
Pros: "I made to my destination alive."
Cons: "First the hidden fees for checking and carrying bags on is ridiculous. Secondly, our flight was delayed to Denver and back so we spent an extra 6 hours just waiting in airports over the holidays. The seats are cramped and uncomfortable and the tray tables are way too small. $2.99 for a snack or drink?!? You are crazy!! Can't understand the captain's announcements. Never told which baggage claim our bags would come out of (didn't come up on the board and nobody working at the airport knew). This was the worst airline experience I have ever had and I will never fly frontier again."
Pros: "Crew was pleasant"
Cons: "They charge for: a checked bag, a CARRY-ON bag, and your seat choice. There is no on-flight entertainment. The seats don't recline. The check-in counter has massive lines of people and is clearly understaffed. The gate is frequently empty and abandoned with zero people to answer your questions. Flights are late without good reason. Gate agents are understaffed, uninformed, and frazzled. Gate changes were poorly communicated and disorganized. Frontier management and leadership: you should be embarrassed."
Pros: "The crew was fabulous. Basically any actual person I talked to was lovely and pleasant."
Cons: "I mean, I understand that it's the goal of the company to sucker consumers out of every penny they can, Frontier is just very in your face about it to the detriment of the overall experience. Throughout the online check in process there was an endless stream of popups asking if I was SURE I didn't want to pay more for a carry on, to choose my seat, etc which made the check in process very tedious and frustrating. And doing blatant things like making the "yes I want to pay more" button huge and basically trying to hide the "no thanks" button. As if customers aren't going to see right through that and get annoyed? (Their cost benefit analysis really didn't account for happier people being more willing to pay for extra things) Also, when my flight home got cancelled it was almost impossible to get a hold of a real person to talk to. Since it was due to weather conditions Frontier had an announcement on their website about what to do. Which...had a convenient link to requesting a refund but no instructions on how to go about re-booking, just that it was theoretically a thing they would do. When I called their customer service I was met with a recorded message about how they're overwhelmed with calls (understandable) followed by same message that was on their website and then...nothing. They ended the call. No option to speak to a person, no "you'll need to wait an hour for someone to be available", no menu to flip through...nothing. Frontier just very obviously doesn't care about customer experience (other airlines/companies at least have the decency to pretend). You'll get an adequate flight pretty cheap (provided you didn't want to bring a significant amount of luggage or eat/drink on the flight) that will get you from point A to point B. Just don't have any expectations going in."
Pros: "The flight was on time."
Cons: "Bait and switching pricing - awful. You have to pay for your seat - literally, along with your carry on bag. Cannot even get water on the flight - all beverages are charged. Gate staff tried to charge me an additional $50 for an 'extra length' seat, even after I explained to him that I had already paid for the 'perks' benefit and showed him my receipt and boarding pass. He insisted and I finally logged on to my phone and upgraded my boarding pass myself in his presence! All he said was, "wow. you made out." Awful awful. The best (worst)? They actually checked in and boarded a customer with a Delta boarding pass (it was crumpled, the gal was young and was just trying to make her flight, she was a bit confused.) THEY DID NOT SCAN THE BOARDING PASS!!!!! She boarded the plane and of course no seat for her. More confusion as she now had to get off and make her way to the Delta terminal, resulting in her missing her flight. It was the same brilliant gate clerk who I dealt with earlier. Frontier admins will hear about this as this breach of protocol was a serious security issue. Will never, ever, fly Frontier again."
Cons: "They "down sized" the plane because the original plane had 15 extra seats. This downsized left 35+ passengers with out seats. I checked in the day before, checked in my luggage and they say anything to me about not having a seat until I reached the ticket agent during boarding process. RIDICULOUS! Then sent us to customer service where finding a new flight was not an option. So I ended up booking a different flight (on my own) with a new airlines and Frontier will only reimburse $400 which does not cover the cost of the flight. AND they Don't know where my bag is!! NOT a happy customer!"
Pros: "I liked the team of flight attendants and crew."
Cons: "The seats are just not comfortable. I've traveled on buses in India that were more comfortable. There's limited room and space between seats, which is frustrating as well. Plus, everything is an incremental charge/fee. Charging for bags whether they're checked or not, is not good customer service. It's inconvenient and I don't particularly like being charged for small incidentals such as coffee, juice or soda. It's another inconvenience for the customer to reach under their already cramped seat for their wallet to pay. Plus the crew of flight attendants is slowed down by the payment process. I consider this bad customer service overall by Frontier. Poor crew. I suspect they're equally as frustrated with having to indicated that everything is offered for a fee."
Pros: "I liked that the plane flew safely."
Cons: "Both my flights were delayed which caused a lot of inconvenience given that this was a short trip and time was of the essence. The second time I kindly approached the counter to ask if a drink ticket or free wifi could be extended as a courtesy. The woman at the counter was snarky to me and made under her breath comments as I walked away. I understand now that frontier does not have wifi but she was very rude. I think this was the tipping point for me. I was trying to be ok with the unexpected charge for a carry on. I think letting passengers know in advance would serve in Frontier's best interest since this is an incredibly unusual charge and one I have never heard of from any other airline. The people at the counter who explained this to me as I checked in were also rude and snarky. I felt that Frontier provided absolutely nothing past a the actual flight. The seats dont recline, not even a centimeter, the tray tables are too small to place a drink and a sandwich on it and it seemed every Frontier flight in the airport was delayed. The icing on the cake is how nasty the customer service people were. I've experienced rudeness from other airlines before, but at least we landed on time and I didnt suffer back pain for 2 days afterwards from the incredibly cheap lawn chair style seats. Please improve your service. I know your whole bit is you wont provide any amenities so you can pass down the savings to the customer but it's not really a cheaper flight if when you get there you have to pay an extra $60-80 for a carry on?! Grow your company, provide outstanding service and pay your employees enough that they dont behave like they're at a dive bar. On the upside I do believe the pilot was sober."
Pros: "Airfare appeared to be affordable and competitive. Typical flying experience."
Cons: "I just took a small backpack and duffel bag. They made me pay $40 each way for the duffel bag! I thought every airline at least gave you a personal item and carry-on. This put me in a position of having to put $80 on my personal card for a work trip or to abandon my bag. Ridiculous! I don't like being put in that situation and will remember it next time I go to book. I also recognize they need to make some money off of snacks and drinks, but to not even provide a complimentary drink of water feels extra stingy too."
Cons: "The seats don't fit anyone over 6 foot and I'm 6 foot 3 inches. The head rests at that angle cause your head to lean back at an angle so steep that it takes all of 5 minutes to develop a pain and have to lean forward. There is also not enough leg room for people with above an 30 inch inseam to sit comfortably. There was a delay in the maintenance, the fuel truck, the baggage truck, and the departure. Once at the arrival gate, they were not prepared to guide the plane into the gate which caused more delays. I also found the sarcastic attitude of the flight attendants doing the safety speech unprofessional and made Frontier look like the sub par airline that its okay being. No trust in comfort, time deadlines, or customer service. You will get a cheap flight, not really if you have a carryon or want to pich your seat, at an odd time, with a bunch of people doing the same thing your doing."
Pros: "I was transported safely from point A to B. That's about it."
Cons: "Check-in was atrocious as we watched the clerks migrate from one crisis to the next, and no TSA pre-check. WAITING at every stage of the flight. You would think a one-way would be simple, but no. An hour at the departure terminal, delayed in-air, then sitting on the taxiway for an hour and a half at the destination, followed by more waiting at the gate. The pilot's excuses didn't help any, clearly trying to avoid an onboard riot for a flight in which we waited longer on the ground than we flew in the air. We checked the board afterward to see if any other airlines' flights were delayed--nope, only Frontier, every one. It's clear what happens. They pay the least possible expense for airport services, and are then the lowest priority at every stage of operations, resulting in delays at every phase of flight. The most frustrating flight I've ever had that didn't include actual incompetence or bad weather."
Cons: "Well my plane was supposed to board at 8:25 a.m. and leave at 9:10 a.m., however it had not arrived yet. After the plane arrived, it took the crew quite some time to get all of the passengers off. When we did get on the plane, there was another long wait because they were short on bag rampers. After all of the delays, my plane exited Denver at or around 10:50 a.m. Throughout all of this the stewardesses were quiet and didn't explain the delays. It wasn't until quite some time that I requested as to why we hadn't left yet. There were more issues when the flight arrived in Indianapolis. It took approximately 10-12 minutes until the jetway was even connected to the plane. Finally, I'm off the plane and I get to the baggage claim and I was there waiting for my bags for about 30 minutes. It's the first time that I've had any of these issues as a flyer and it's also the first time that I've used Frontier. This flight isn't one of my first flights either as the military has had me flying all over the US in recent months. Looking at this experience, I think that has more to do with the company itself rather than a random flight experience."
Pros: "How quick the flight was"
Cons: "We will never be flying with frontier again. Not only do you have to pay for your carry on luggage and SEAT both ways, but for the food on your flight! I've never been so outraged on how much I had to pay. And their staff is very rude, especially going into Columbus from Denver. And the fact that you have to pay for your seat is ridiculous because the seats weren't even comfortable and they were dirty. I had trash at my seat both ways. I wish we hadn't flown with frontier. I've never. When sk deisappointed on an airline."
Cons: "Every plane I was on, from Memphis to Denver, Denver to San Diego and the return flight back home, every single plane was delayed. I lost so much time being stuck in an airport that could have been spent with my grieving family even if I didn't have a grieving family, this was unacceptable. There was one instance where the plane was delayed (of course) and they changed gates at the last min without making an announcement or letting anyone that was waiting at the gate know! The Captain and Flight attendants just started moving to another location! Not only will I never fly with Frontier again, I will actively tell everyone I know that flies to never fly with Frontier not just once, but every time I hear the word airplane. In the positive section I mentioned that the flight attendants were good with letting us know what is going on, well the Captain is the one that is supposed to be the one letting us know what is going on, not the flight attendants. Whatever Frontier has got going on, seems like it is overwhelming. I will never fly with them again."
Cons: "Pretty much the experience. I had a pretty lengthy layover to begin with. The delayed flight was absurd. It doubled my layover with little to no notification as to when it was going . It is was pushed back 5 times with no announcements from any Frontier employees. Plus once the plane finally ended up showing up, the gate was staffed with one employee that was seriously overworked. Everything was delayed again. Once we boarded the plane, there was yet another delay from the maintenance crew and there was no estimated time for departure. This seriously is making me consider never flying Frontier again."
Pros: "The security line to the Frontier concourse was unbelievably long, and even though Frontier knew this, it insisted on closing the plane door right on time, at 10 minutes before departure, even though 6 non-related passengers were going to miss the flight. If they had kept the door open 2 extra minutes, all 6 passengers would have made the flight. Ultimately, the plane left 10 minutes late, so 20 minutes after the door closed. I've had enough of Frontier's inflexibility and will gladly pay a higher fare for a different airline."
Cons: "Hidden expenses emerge at check in... $45 for a checked bag both ways. $100 spent that I didn't intend to pay for. As the drink cart comes down the aisle, I am again offered to pay for the water I ordered by credit card. I had payed online thinking My trip was paid and complete. With frontier, plan on having money you have no intention of paying, being asked for over and over. My return plane was delayed 4 hours due to "refueling". The trip cost at least another $100 dollars overall. Go with another airline."
Pros: "It was sorta cheap, not frills. After the delay we did make up some time, but.... nothing too amazing overall."
Cons: "Paying for Cary-on bag was super expensive ($40 bought with the ticket, it's even more expensive at the airport) and sort of offset the benefit of a cheap flight. There was no food or entertainment, and the flight was delayed by an hour because we had to wait for another Frontier flight ---- so that says something. Seats were super uncomfortable and the tray tables are stupidly small, maybe could hold a sandwich and nothing else. No other amenities at all. I'd rather pay $40 more for the flight, get some snacks and comfy seat and a free carry-on. Won't fly Frontier again unless I have to."
Cons: "Just when you thought airline travel couldn't get worse, Frontier brings you hard seats that don't recline and tray tables about half the size of a sheet of paper. Want a real seat? No problem--pay more. Want what they call a "laptop-friendly" tray table? No problem--pay more. And don't expect to use TSA Pre-check: Frontier doesn't participate. By the time you've paid to bring luggage on your trip--whether checked or carry-on, it costs--you've racked up a cost you could have used to fly a real airline. Pretty soon they'll be charging extra to fly on a plane with wings. And then their website was down all morning when I needed to check in. I used to fly Frontier a lot. Never, never, never, never again."
Cons: "Frontier misleads customers with a price that compares favorably with competitors while you are searching for fares. But, once you have selected the flight and already given your credit card number for payment you find out that there are extra charges each flight to choose your seat and for both checked and carry-on luggage. All food and drinks during the flight are at an extra price and the seats do no recline at all. So, my uncomfortable flight ended up being a higher price than other carriers. And finally, I have Pre-check privileges when going through security, but Frontier does not participate in the program, so I waited in very long lines. Last time."
Cons: "Both flights to & from Denver were over 30 minutes late unloading passengers. This particular flight was late on all counts.15 minutes late beginning boarding. Departed over 30 min. Late and arrival was about 40 min. Late. I do like that charging for carry on means people board /load and deplane/unload quickly. We get what we pay for and Frontier is cheap. We payfor each little add on, reserved seats, beverage, carry on, etc.Good option if cheapness is primaryfactor over comfort, convenience, or reliabledeparture and arrival schedule. Unrealistic tight scheduling means little time to clean or prepareplane between flights."
Pros: "good price roomier seat section"
Cons: "In Denver--The electronic sign at the gate my boarding pass indicated was not displaying my flight (AGAIN!!!)and it did not indicate if the gate number had been changed. I and other passengers were alarmed that the flight was not going to happen. Someone did check the airport departure and arrival screen and found out the gate had been changed. Can't the electronic signs at the gates indicate the gate changes of flights? somehow get the word out at the gate? Not all people are experienced enough flyers to know to check the big airport arrival/departure boards and there wasn't a Frontier soul anywhere around to ask."
Cons: "The 3 people in front of me must have chain smoked a carton of cigarettes on the way to airport with the windows up. Flight attendant would not move me-- they had serious attitude and clearly need some customer service classes. Had an allergic reaction from smokey smell sneezing and coughing. Nose burned and started bleeding from the airplane air (almost as if the filters were not changed on the a/c blowing on my face). Seats wouldn't recline. 30 min delay leaving airport (direct flight from Denver to San Antonio, but yet we sat on runway bc of storms in LA???) arrived to SA late at 10:15 pm. Stood and waited for another 30 min for bags to come out with ZERO communication from airline letting us know which luggage carrosel to stand at. Meanwhile the lovely folks at southwest had to finally make an announcement for Frontier to give us any amount of info. Doubt I will ever go this budget airline again. Awful. Saved $75 instead of flying southwest. Wasn't worth it."
Cons: "Was at boarding gate A36..which is what the big board said to be at..my ticket, as well. Waiting with 100+ other passengers at gate..watching Netflix out of boredom waiting on plane. 15 mins past departure time..I go to customer service and they tell me its MY FAULT I missed the plane that left 4 minutes prior because THEY changed the gate to A32.. There was no change on the board..but they said it was announced. It wasn't made clear to those of us who thought we were in the right gate waiting. I was able to fly out until the next morning..putting a lot of plans I and others had in serious jeopardy. Your customer service agents have MUCH to be desired..very rude..taking customers that walked up behind me while making me wait on them to get their sh*t together. I almost lost the only flight available out the next day because they were chatting amongst themselves about personal problems!!"
Pros: "The best part about the flight was when we landed in Dallas."
Cons: "The most uncomfortable flight I have ever been on. The seats were very hard and could not adjust. There was no information about the flight provided at any time during the flight except for when we were preparing to land. Compared to American Airlines (which we flew with on our way to Denver), Frontier has no comparison. There was absolutely no entertainment provided, and there were additional costs and fees at every turn. Not only do they charge for any and all refreshments, they also charge you to have a carry-on bag. The flight was also very very loud. The cabin rattled and roared for the entire hour and a half flight. We will not be flying Frontier again unless some major upgrades are made."
Pros: "Nothing stands out as what I liked - the crew and boarding were average, so I guess not negative is good in this case."
Cons: "I chose this flight because of cost but don't be fooled - you will pay for everything extra - seat selection, carry-on or checked luggage, even coffee or snacks, extra. The seats are absolutely terrible in my opinion, don't recline, limited padding, very uncomfortable if flying over 2 hours. At the end of the day, this was only like $25 less than another airline (american in this case) - and all the other airlines are much more comfortable and include those little things like carry-on, nonalcoholic beverages and snacks. It isn't worth it, use another airline!"
Pros: "What did I like? ............That we landed safely to our destination."
Cons: "What I didn't like about my Frontier flight is a much longer list! Lets start with the surprise carry on fee which was never described or made aware to the customer when booking. RIDICULOUS! Just when I thought I made it in my seat and was done with surprises, I came to the realization I had a 4 hour flight with nothing to drink or snack on because of the fact Frontier has NO COMPLIMENTARY DRINKS OR FOOD...not even peanuts or water! Never in my life have I ever heard of such a non sense making thing. I just wanted to get off that plane and never give Frontier another dime!"
Cons: "The flight & staff were fine . The extra charges for baggage , a regular seat & any food except water was in my opinion underhanded in terms of advertising the cheap cost of the airline ticket . All of these hidden charges should be disclosed up front when booking . How expensive could it be to offer nuts or crackers & a beverage ? And hope ridiculous to issue an Airline Ticket and then when choosing a seat , a standard seat to be charged $12.00 ?? Will not use this booking site again and probably will avoid Frontier A tricked customer"
Cons: "No where when I was booking my flight was stated that I would have to pay to reserve a seat. I understand paying more for extra leg room but charging just to pick a seat in the back of the plane is rediculous and makes me never want to fly frontier anymore. I usually love flying frontier, but it makes me pick another airline. The flight was delayed 3 hours and I understand that things happen, but we were never told why our flight was delayed. The flight attendants were OK this trip. Usually I find Frontier flight attendants to be very friendly and seems to love their jobs, but this flight they were not the friendliest."
Pros: "Direct flight"
Cons: "Very unimpersonable....felt like I was just a ticket number. No drinks or snacks unless you have a credit/debit card to buy a soda and snack for 2 bucks, seats seem smaller and the "snack" tray was smaller than a book. But I guess since they don't offer drinks and snacks with your ticket you really don't need that tray. I had to purchase this ticket due to a death in my family and it was the least expensive, but if I had a choice it would have been with Southwest Airlines. At least they still make you feel human."
Pros: "The flight attendants were nice. This is the best I can say about Frontier Airlines."
Cons: "Whoever designed the seats does not understand the human form. They were TORTUOUS to sit it. I had to take my emergency anti-nausea pill, the seats torked my body so badly. I was in so much pain after I arrived at my destination at both ends, I needed medical help. Charging extra for every little thing was insane. They didn't even give you a basic drink without drooling into your wallet. I have never been charged for a carry on bag before. Checked luggage yes, but never carry on. Both on the flight out and on the flight in, they missed the boarding gate, so we had to wait a long time while they lined it up with the airplane. A frightening lack of training here. Flying sucks. I understand that; that's the way of the system now. This went so far beyond the basic suckage of the regular flying experience, it was unbelievable. Frontier will NEVER be getting my money again. Probably the most expensive flight for the least comfort and amenities you could find."
Pros: "83 dollar round trip non stop fare between palm beach and Denver. On time or nearly so each way. Polite crew but make no mistake, this is a no nonsense no frills operation. Even with the fees, the price was 100 bucks cheaper than next closest airline. The rating for entertainment was for the crew. They made me laugh just a little but only because they were tryin to assist passengers that were clearly beyond being helped. I enjoyed the fact that on both flights, the crew always looked like they enjoyed their jobs and genuinely wanted to be there."
Cons: "Fees for everything. Carry-on fees change for each direction of travel. For example, 30 bucks from palm beach but 40 bucks from Denver. Same bag. Luggage extortion is how I thought of it. No overhead storage in last tree rows due to crew bags and additional amenities storage, i.e. Water and cups. Seats are like subway seats. Non reclining but not horribly uncomfortable."
Cons: "Just a super cheapo airline that offered an "inexpensive" ticket that then they charge you for everything else, with no warning about the hidden fees. Like baggage: you can't take on more than one free, tiny check-in without paying at least $35, if not much more. Uncomfortable seats. The flight was 3 hours late when a neighbor flight to the same city (on Southwest) took off on time, and so they gave us this lame $10 voucher to appease us, and yet we couldn't use it anywhere, just pissing you off more. They wouldn't accept it at the airport or on the plane, so, what the heck?"
Pros: "I had heard so many bad stories about Frontier that I was hesitant to book, but the price was the determining factor. I had also heard about having to pay for everything so was mentally prepared. Yes, they charge for checked luggage, but most airlines do. I read their baggage policy (on booking ticket) so didn't take carry-on - no surprises here. I was surprised that the seat was wider than I thought! You DO NOT have to pay for your seat if you travel alone, as long as you don't care where they seat you; just don't make a seat selection when checking in omline and it will automatically assign one for you - free. A flight attendant made the ordinary safety guidelines funny!"
