Travelers who are going to Costa Rica are not required to provide a negative PCR test result or undergo a quarantine. However, they should comply with the following:

    They need check if they can enter the country with or without a visa.
    All passengers, including minors should fill out the Health Pass 72 hours prior to the scheduled departure.
    Travelers, including vaccinated individuals must carry a travel insurance that covers lodging and medical expenses in case of contracting COVID-19. The required medical insurance should have a guaranteed $50,000 for medical expenses and $2000 for lodging expenses.

Foreigners with temporary or permanent residence or with temporary status returning to Costa Rica must acquire a local insurance incase they are not up-to-date with their Social Security payment. Passengers in transit are also required to have an insurance policy with a minimum coverage of 5 days.
