I got there and found out about a policy change that they had NOT made clear anywhere. Specifically, you’re no longer allowed to rent using your debit card. I had paid a $70 deposit beforehand which I was told was nonrefundable. So I wasted $70 and an entire day for absolutely nothing!

We arrived and they had a sign that said if you made your reservation 48 hrs ago (we made it at least a month prior) Or going one way (we were driving a total of 10-12 hours with 3 stops and in remote areas) they did not have a car. When we got to the counter, they said they didn’t even have any reservation for us at all! And when I asked what do we do? They said take an uber or a taxi. Really? We paid $65 to get to the ferry and had to figure out to get to Westport, NY , then Ticonderoga,NY, Williamsport, PA and eventually Philadelphia, PA And renting through another car r ed natal was not an option. There weren’t any cars anywhere. Stressful is an understatement.

The pick up at Portland Airport was a nightmare. Almost 2 hour line, no organization and confusing. Eventually filled out an accelerated check in on the web site, received a confirmation that the reservation is checked in, got out of line and proceeded to the garage only to be told I didnt have a Bar Code. Very confusing as did not see any mention of a Bar Code. Otherwise, staff who helped me in the pick up and drop off areas went out of their way. Car was great. Miles

Rented a 15-passenger van. I wish they had the 12-seat option that instead of a back row of seats had room for luggage.

I had rented a car the day before. Then I went there the next day. They told me, “Sorry, we tried to contact you. Unfortunately, we don’t have the car.” It was a really long trip. And I didn’t get any email from them. Nothing at all. They barely even tried to contact me. And Uber prices in Los Angeles are expensive.
