Pros: It was a real bush experience. We were lucky to be the only ones in the camp. Unspoilt nature.
Cons: No free wood for a fire. At this price and in this location it should be provided without a second thought. New matresses are needed. These were thin and some were hollow. Second blankets should be provided during winter. We received it after asking.
Pros: Great and beautiful place.
Cons: The noise from the main road.
Pros: Beautiful location in the Park, very friendly staff.
Cons: A restaurant close by would have been nice.
Pros: Such a beautiful setting. Great staff and comfortable accommodation. The whole region is exquisite. Beware - the surrounding farms and nearest towns are very very racist! This is not the case at kaoxa where guests and staff were open minded kind and generous! Thank you!
Pros: The views
Cons: We have made a booking and the manager told us that it was canceled and she asked a totally different price for our stay!!! Very weird of of course! We phoned with our travel agent and she says that she had the confirmation but the manager was very clear and not kind to us: we could leave or pay a higher price cash there. She did not accept anything else. Because of Christmas evening we didn’t have a lot of other opportunities and that’s why we stayed. We were surprised about the way she treated her guests. The views are super but she changed prices when we arrived. Other guest from Wales had the same bad experience but they refused to pay a higher price at location.
Pros: the location is perfect with a wonderfull view over the Limpopo and close to the Park. David was very kind chopping the wood for us and even cleaning the Potje!!
Pros: The location is very special. It is very rustic and basic, but totally worth it! There is an authentic care and assistance from the staff on site. The communal kitchen has more than what you'd expect for a bush camp. Views to get lost in for days. Small touches in the room were noticed like the hangers, make up mirror and bathroom light. Thank you for a wondeful stay
Cons: Minor recommendations to add to the wonderful stay : Just a kettle in the chalet would go a long way, and mesh on the windows so that you can open them for the breeze, but prevent the bugs from getting in.
Pros: Beautiful scenery with very comfortable room. A fully equipped kitchen with fridges available as well. Swimming pool is lovely for cooling off. David was very friendly and always available to assist if we needed anything.
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was in good order and is situated in the most glorious rocky landscape. The tents were very spacious and placed well with stunning views. Plug points, hot showers and flush toilets are luxury when you've just come from a real eco-camp. Sharing the kitchen, the 'dining room' and the braai area is an opportunity to meet people. The ancient rock formations and presence of people of old thru their paintings is magical.
Cons: Yes, sharing means you do not have the place to yourself and it might become difficult if you meet people who don't have the same values. As described in an earlier review you might hear the people from the other tents or the boma. We had perfect, dry weather, so I cannot comment how the tents are when it's really hot or rainy. Yes, there were a few spiders and geckos - but I do expect them when I go bush!
Pros: Nothing was up to standard after confirming our booking several times when we arrived there was no accommodation for us and we had to arrange new places
Cons: nothing bad service waste of traveling cost and bad experiance
