Service until 21.00 Hrs, good German food a treasonable prices. No mini-bar in the room, but self-service drinks available from the kitchen downstairs.

Cons: It’s personal preference of course, but the beds are pretty hard and the pillows are very small. Restaurant has a limited menu and the food was OK but nothing special. Then again prices for food are very reasonable..

Pros: All the staff, from the owner who kindly leant me a road atlas, to the waitress who served me excellent dinners, to the chambermaid were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and spacious, the bathroom a little more compact, but everything worked. I even had a balcony with a pleasant rural view. Breakfast and dinner were excellent and very good value. As a base to explore northern Bavaria it was great and very reasonable.
Cons: A little bit of noise being near the motorway, but not loud and did not disturb my sleep.

Pros: The room was very good, took a little time to realise we had to put on the heating in both The bedroom and bathroom, It would have been good to give instructions in the welcome guide. The evening menu was ok, but the breakfast was very disappointing, no offer of fried eggs, or any type of hot breakfast, very basic bread rolls and very standard cold meats and cheeses, for the price it should have been far better.

Pros: We stayed here while doing Challenge Roth and it was incredible. The room was clean and perfect and the staff was amazing. They even offered a full breakfast at 4am the morning of the race. During the race week this hotel is almost entirely triathletes so they really cater well. It's a great location to get to the swim start and Roth.
Cons: The only downsides (if there were any!) was the wifi in the room was terrible. We often got dropped and couldn't connect, let alone do anything on it. Also the food choices for dinner were 2 Italian restaurants. If we went back we'd probably try to stay in nearby Hiplostein.

After a relaxing night in one of our 16 newly renovated rooms, you can begin the day with our generous breakfast buffet. Our stylish restaurant serves regional and seasonal dishes, as well as a lunchtime menu which changes daily. In the summer, our beer garden also invites you to a cosy sit-down among your fellow guests.

Pros: Clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. Breakfast only basic but adequate with cheese and salami assortment, musli, unlimited tee or coffee. Some fruit, 3 marmalade sorts (probably home made) and eggs. Plenty of bread sorts. Helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: Weird bathroom ventilation way. Worked constantly but when you switched on it completely stopped for 30s or so and went to full speed after that. After switching off it continued full speed for a while and then it went again to constant low speed. Not exactly related to accomodation and breakfast - we also had diner and it took almost 2 hours between our order and meal being fetched.

Pros: Very nice and friendly staff. Personal and professional at the same time. Historic landmark building with its original interior. Behind the courtyard is a museum which we unfortunately didn't have time to visit. The historic courtyard (Biergarten) is remarkably beautiful and a fantastic place to eat in the evening if the weather permits. The price level is very fair, quality good. Bavarian style of course.
Cons: The breakfast buffet is a bit too frugal in comparison to other hotels in this category - the selection of foods is narrow. But from the few rooms there are and the few other guests we saw, I understand why they would do that. But not a "big minus" either. Just a suggestion / observation.

Pros: The room was very clean, modern and nicely decorated, with a comfortable sitting area and comfortable bed.
Cons: The advertised „free“ wifi was as good as non-existant, except for the restaurant and reception area, which was, in this day and age, extremely irritating. It borders on misleading advertising. And seeing that climate change is full upon us, the lack of room air conditioning in mid-August meant that the room was very hot. Sleeping with the window wide open didn’t lower the temperature much and only let in more noise, resulting in a much less than restful night‘s sleep. The breakfast buffet is no more than adequate—not a lot of choice, and the scrambled eggs very dry and rubbery, although the coffee is good.

Hotel has a bar and restaurant facilities, but they were unstaffed and unavailable during our entire stay, which meant no breakfast in the morning and no relaxing glass of wine in the evening... Location not very attractive, but since we were underway all day it didn’t matter that much...

Pros: The whole experience was no-fuss. We arrived late after a very long drive, went straight to our very pleasant room, were given good advice for dinner and were made very comfortable. The distance from the highway (1 km) was perfect for both practicality and a peaceful sleep. The price was excellent and the staff very friendly. Our dog Theo also enjoyed it.

Pros: A traveller's dream come true!! Lovingly restored old half-timbered house(s) , providing a 5 Star comfort to the traveller. Authentic interiors, with excellent matteraces and sleek new bathrooms. Small, but truly great breakfast, with one of the best cappuccino/ caffelatte north of the Alps. Lovely, accomodating, friendly staff, who make you feel really welcome - nothing is too much trouble for them. We've stayed in the Fürstenzimmer, which had space similar to a suite. A beautiful, traditional beergarden attached to the hotel - serves great German and international cousine.

Pros: Amazing place worth a visit very old building with a lot of charme don't expect to stay in a business hotel it is something else perfect to relax one night in a middle of a business trip. The restaurant is in the courtyard I had the chance to arrive in the barbecue evening highly recommended !

Pros: Friendly people and well cared for property. Also not far from Roth which was nice to visit and have dinner in a charming German town.
Cons: We booked via the Booking.com website whilst on the road and were certain that the tariff included breakfast however when we arrived we found it was not. Booking.com should review their app and booking process to ensure there is no confusion.
