The room was excellent. Breakfast was a shambles, staff were unable to cope with demand and hence service was pretty appalling.
The intimate bar area, the bedroom (which was one of the traditional rooms with oak beams) The fact that the staff were happy to arrange a breakfast at 0330am due to the fact that we needed to leave early.
Location, character, history, comfortable room Poor service and badly organised breakfast
Great charme, old England country style
The room was clean and spacious service at breakfast was poor
The rooms were fantastic, lots of old world charm. Very romantic!
Traditional style hotel The staff did not have the greatest customer service skills.
Very comfortable bed. Peaceful room. relaxing stay. Very cold bathroom, no radiator or heated towel rail. So-so staff. Tried to overcharge me be £100 and when this was pointed out, were not particularly apologetic or concerned.
We liked the historical atmosphere and setting of The Crown and the authenticity of its refurbishment. The whole building has tremendous character.
setting of the property, and receptionist was very helpful room service breakfast tray was dirty, full of dust in each corner.
This hotel is a large 'function' commercial style hotel. well trained staff, executive room not inspiring and not executive quality.
Location good, booking in/out was easy. Tatty carpet in the lift....a poor first impression.
A good location for the road networks. Restaurant food and breakfast good. Staff helpful with directions to the nearest tube station. The lift decor could be improved; looked worn out.
The hotel felt a little tired, the greeting from the hotel desk was cold and unwelcoming. The bathroom, we were in their best room, was small with very little space to put anything. we spent an hour or so in the hotel bar but left due to limited choice of wine, at extortionate prices - I certainly would never stay there again.
It was the site of a special dinner we were attending and the fact that the dinner and our accommodation were on the same site was a great advantage It is a small point, but I would have like more biscuits on the tea-tray! Enough for afternoon tea, and tea in bed the next morning.
A comfortable fully equiped room in an ancient well maintained 15th century Inn and grounds, set in the picturesque main street of Old Amersham. Well worth a visit to look, see and explore. Several good resturants in easy walking distance. Loud voices from hotel office heard in bedroom (room 5) above. In room tea service not cleaned or refilled. The European hotel staff did their job, were polite and pleasant, however the atmoshere may have been a little clinical and distant. The Inn lacked the on-site presents of an adult English manager.
Spacious room, very comfortable bed, lovely cotton sheets, stylish. Very well designed new extension. Meagre supplies for hot drinks in the room, breakfast was not of the size or quality I'd expect at this price.
Beautifully decorated rooms. Very pleasant staff. Lovely outside areas.
quality of room and furnishings No restaurant for evening meal
The Executive Rooms are to a very high standard of decor, cleanliness and comfort. The staff in the Restaurant are young and inexperienced. The food has improved greatly.
Excellent historic building that has been tastefully renovated whilst maintaining all of its period charm. Nothing, everything was fine.
Location, old town shopping, room space, age of the building Several cobwebs in room, you need a duster with a long stick. Room was cold even with the heat on full. Carpet needs to be cleaned. Curtains did not full cover the window.
Tudor building wonderfully restored in a charming Old Town.Very helpful attitude of all staff. Excellent breakfast. Delightful and very comfortable room (in old part of the building). Having to pay for in-room internet connection.
Excellent location. Lovely old building. Very comfortable rooms Breakfast was very average - disappointing.
Peace and quiet of location. The old charm and character of the hotel
The room was very clean and modern, the bathroom was the best thing though, bath was lovely with a lovely big mirror and nice soaps/shower gels to use. The room was quite cold when we got in.
Room, facilities very good I found the food very dissappointing (Pizza) Wake up call didn't happen
Lovely location and very comfortable accomodation with helpful and v friendly staff
Meeting up with my friends. I had to move rooms as so many things were wrong with the first room I was out in - not TV remote, the phone next to the bed didn't work and worst of all the toilet didn't flush properly. However, the hotel did try to fix things but were unable to and offered me another room without any fuss.
Unfortunetly there were 2 weddings on over the which made breakfast on the first morning difficult as we had to go over to the other part of the hotel to eat and the second morning there were lots of children around which made breakfast loud and uncomfortable. Apart from that a great stay.
good value ang luxury facilities nothing
Swimming pool complex
Latimer Mews was very modern and pleasant. The room was very comfortable and a pleasure to stay in. Also being able to use the gym and pool facilities was a bonus. We had a reall good rate for our 1 night stay. The bar and lounges looked in need of redecoration/renovation. Some of the other residents attending courses who also had rooms in the Latimer Mews were rather noisy during the night.
Location, buildings, quality Breakfast staff were not good, had to be asked for coffee, then again for milk and then again reminded for sugar for example!
Lovely location and grounds My room was like being in a sweat box. Far too hot to sleep and on this experience I would not go there again. Staff comment was 'yes it is hot here' - brilliant!
All very good None
Free Wi Fi and quiet public space to work.
Nice quiet location Shower head needed a good clean/descale to get it working correctly.
A Hotel with character and charm at a reasonable price Location - Without a Sat Nav it wol dbe far more difficult to find. Written instructions should clearer. I.e. written by a visitor who is unfamiliar with the surrounding area nd local roads, not a menber of staff who already knows the place and familiar withthe area.
The hotel is in a nice spot convenient to surrounding countryside with adequate parking. Comfortable beds in a quiet room situated in the original part of the hotel. Adequate facilities. Nice breakfast with good selection of items available. The waitress who served our coffee and cooked section of the meal was very pleasant and attentive. The fact that we booked last minute on the "Net" may have something to do with this but the first room we were given was not ready with unmade beds, dirty cups on dresser. Second room was next to a noisy generator or something making a droning noise. Third time lucky! We were finally offered a twin room in the older part of the building by the helpfull reseptionist. This was was fine.
The Staff were friendly and attentive. The room was clean and light. The Breakfast was good. Only criticisms are that the shower in my room was very slow to heat up and as I advised the Man on the reception, if I were a business traveller I would expect a proper power shower. The bacon in my breakfast was a bit greasy.
Food/ helpful staff/ bar with fire/ garden shower very small
Easy to us facilities/available at point of contact, staff very helpfull infact your best asset The beds seemed a little dated, standard of evening meal not fantastic seemed to be prepared well in advance
I came across the Chartridge when I visited for an educational conference. I now use it as a good value for money hotel when visiting schools in Bucks. I shall use it again.
Good food excellent staff Unable to work the rooms heating --staff rectified the problem
A beautiful setting, excellent room and tasty breakfast None
Excellent facilities lovely location only negative below Double bed was quite narrow - probably a standard double but people are generally used to wider
Beautiful site. Small room, robotic receptionist, few amenities (E.G., no ice)
Clean Bed wasnt a double , was only slightly larger than a single and I nearly fell out in the night and hurt my leg.only one pillow , heating that you couldnt control, therefore I was cold in the evening, but too hot in the night as it had obviously been set to go on then .. the windows wouldnt close at all , luckily we were on the second floor ! only one cup and spoon set out for tea and cofee making in the room . only had big long tables in the dining room , so therefore you had to sit next to complete strangers at breakfast . didnt like this at all ! was like being at school .. also the tables were too close together so it was very difficult to squeeze into your seat , holding your plate and hot coffee at the same time . also the place had absoulutely no signs to tell you where the dining room was .. we wandered around for ages til another guest told us where it was. dont know what its like at the weekend, but during the week it only seems to be a place for businessmen . all wondering around with their laptops and constantly on their phones .not a place for normal families at all .
Very pleasant surroundings - quiet Evening menu difficult to obtain - no prices indicated - made it difficult to decide whether to dine in restaurant or settle for bar food
The food was the best, but only by a small margin to the hospitality and friendliness of the staff. There was nothing that I didn't like.
Convenient, easy to find not far from lhr
The overall experience was good - I must say that the lady on reception and who served us at breakfast was very nice and very helpful. Restaurant service in the evening was good, polite & pleasant waiter. The only thing I would say is that the noise level in the rooms was high from other guest staying there, doors banged and loud noise. Possibly very thin walls!!!
Very pleasant. Lovely breakfast and nice, clean rooms. The booking process was the only floor. The web told me that nothing would be taken from my card until we checked out, yet the money was taken when the rooms were booked over the web. My colleague and I were due to share a room but because of the confusion etc upon check in, the hotel staff offered us a second room free of charge which more than compensated for the earlier confusion. We were very pleased with this.
Staff very helpful, always polite and willing to solve any problem. None.
We choose White Hart because we had business locally. It was reasonably priced. The lady who checked us in was delightful and offered us a drink as the room was not ready. Breakfast was good. The room was cold when we arrived and took some time to heat up. The bathroom was spacious but with a tiny shower and was freezing. It lacked athmosphere.
Spacious comfortable room, good food, pleasant staff.
Excellent hotel, staff and rooms are first class
The Staff were really welcoming & helpful. The room was very clean & warm on probably the coldest day of the year!! We booked a table for dinner in the restaurant & found the food superb, tha same can be said of breakfast the following morning. In all a lovely night away in a great setting, looking forward to returning,in the future.
Super choice of breakfast.friendly staff. None
Very helpful staff. All requests dealt with quickly and efficiently. Easy to relax
This hotel was perfect for me, it immediately changed me from tense to relaxed, wether it was the polite and friendly staff or the option of a morning swim I don't know. The roomwas perfect and comfortable with easy to use facilities.
A very pleasant & relaxed atmosphere with genuinely welcoming staff. Some of the decoration looked a little tired and the seating in the lounge bar could have been more comfortable. Otherwise, first rate.
Excellent breakfast Good location for trains to Wembley
Access to local town for visiting family and ease of location to and from motorway. Shower pressure very poor, cost of room for size and facilities was over priced. We will be staying there at the end of August for a wedding reception so will see if there is any improvement/difference with the double rooms as we stayed in a twin room.
