Pros: Everything was incredible! Dinner magnificent! Room beautiful. Grounds were historic, with many trails leading to ocean.
Pros: The Hotel Budir is located off the main road around the Snaefellsnes Peninsula amid an elf filled lava field, with views of a beautiful beach, a historic black church, and the mountains. As wonderful as the location is, the service and food are even better! We were treated as if we were the only guests, even though the hotel was full, with total attention of the staff at all times. The hotel has its own well stocked bar and several lounges, a gourmet dining room, and a menu to make anyone happy. Try the langoustine appetizer and the Blue Ling Fish entree. When we come back to Iceland, we will stay there again! PS check out the shop behind the hotel as well...
Pros: Incredible location, beautiful and comfortable hotel. The service was first rate.

Pros: Location is great - by the beach & close to coastline
Cons: Room space is quite small & not suitable for three people.
Pros: Great location and very friendly staff. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the breakfast. Highly recommended!
Cons: On the pricey side
Pros: Excellent location next to the national park.
Pros: Great room with very nice bathroom. Rooms with view of ocean! Nice restaurant and plentiful breakfast buffet
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was TINY and had a view of the parking lot with windows in the front for everyone to see inside the room.
Cons: The room and location of the room.
Pros: Location was great, rooms were very clean and comfortable and the breakfast which was included was fabulous!
Pros: The view it's amazing!
Cons: A little hot, windows don't open much, no fans either
Pros: Staff were excellent and did their best to accomodate our requests. Location is really picturesque with Snaefessjokull towering above and the view out to the Atlantic ocean.
Cons: I found myself disappointed with the standard of the accomodation. For the amount of money paid, I was really expecting something more. The blinds were really quite inadequate for blocking out the summertime daylight at night.
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Double bed was two twins pushed together
Pros: Super helpful staff, great view, nice room, comfortable beads
Pros: Perfect location and amazing staff! I booked a room for my parents to stay for couple of nights and seriously couldn’t be happier with my hotel choice. Easy booking process (and top notch customer service - my parents were arriving very late (way past the check in hour) and they don’t really speak the language, but none of it was a problem and everything was taken care of in a way that my parents (nor I!) didn’t have to worry about anything at all!), clean hotel, extremely accommodating, helpful and friendly staff, delicious food and breathtaking views - definitely an A+ experience for me and my parents.
Cons: Except for maybe being bit pricey (although as I found out Everything in Iceland tends to be like that - but you can be certain that it is also always matched with a high quality of goods & services) I have honestly nothing else to put in here. Everything either met or exceed my expectations. Thank you!
Pros: Great views
With a stay at Guesthouse Langaholt in Stadarstadur, you'll be next to a golf course, and 16.9 mi (27.1 km) from Rauðfeldsgjá and 22.5 mi (36.2 km) from Snaefellsjoekull National Park. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The staff was very helpful. We arrived too late for dinner but they offered to heat some soup for us. That was very nice considering there is nothing around the hotel. One of the guys at the reception was particularly friendly and very funny - he gave us good advice what to visit on the peninsula, a good place to watch the seals, etc. Breakfast was nice. The feeling of being there is quite nice and homie. The location is good considering the few options on Snæfellsnes but very remote. It’s very quiet and you can enjoy nature, the sea, many birds.
Cons: We had a room in the old building which was very small and not all things were working properly. It was not so bad in the end but the problem is it was way too pricy for what it offered. Walls were very thin.
Pros: Nice staff, nice location, amazing view on the mountains. Nice restaurant for the evening with good catch of the day and good mussels.
Cons: The dining hall is quite noisy. The breakfast's coffee is horrible.
Pros: Big guesthouse in the middle of nowhere, landscape is beautiful, staff is very helpful and kind. Breakfast was OK. I guess we got the more expensive room for the cheap one's price.
Pros: Hotel is great, nearest town is 45min away, so plan for.that
Pros: Beautiful location in front of the famous Snæfellsjökull glacier and volcano. The hotel is nearby a nice walk along the beach and it has a golf court attached. Staff was super kind. The room was essential but big, very comfortable and very clean. It also had a terrace with a beautiful view. The breakfast was very tasty. I like the hotel decor and style, as well as the fact that it had common spaces for reading and relaxing. I would come back here if I ever return to this beautiful location because the hotel is close to the glacier, near the sea and relatively close to Reykjavik (I think about 1 and half hour drive).
Cons: We had dinner at the hotel. The catch of the day was excellent and fresh but the sauce that they used to dress it was probably better for a meat-based dish than for fish in our opinion. This is only a small detail.
Pros: The view from the room was amazing. The staff was friendly and kind. I had an issue with my bookings with this website but they helped solve the problem.
Cons: The bathroom was small but we only stayed for one night and it was clean.
Pros: The sheep flock added to environment. Dinner highlights were beetroot salad, scallops and desserts. Very comfortable vibe. Got some great recommendations for local sites.
Cons: Nearby Arctic terns were divebombers. Shower squeegee approach was interesting.
Pros: Beautiful mountain view Golden beach next to the guesthouse Very good restaurant Good breakfast
Cons: Bad value price-quality (75€ for that room was too much) Very basic room Old bathroom No curtains in the shower and so everything in the bathroom is immediately wet until the following morning! Morever the window is locked and there’s no ventilation in it.
Pros: Beautiful property. Our room felt new, clean and we had a view of the mountains and ocean! They also provided a delicious breakfast with so much variety. We would definitely stay here again!
Pros: Excellent food, facilities seemed to be renovated. Everything was very clean. The room in the back were kids could play was also nice.
Cons: No hair dryer available . When asked for the iron we were told it was theirs but that we could Borrow it so that was surprising.
