Clean room, extraordinarily friendly folks at the front desk, lots of amenities for the price. Only 1.5 miles from the Shakespeare theaters. Air conditioning unit wasn't cooling very well. I pulled out the filter and it obviously hadn't been cleaned in many months. I cleaned it and then the air conditioner worked fine. I absent mindedly tried to get into the room next to mine, thinking it was my room, and my key opened the door! Old fashioned keys. They need to have locks with cards that get reprogrammed with every guest. It was great that they had a continental breakfast, but it consisted only of orange juice, tea and coffee, bagels, English muffins and bananas. The second day we were there they were out of coffee, English muffins, and there was only one banana left.
Cost, location, pool for summer, no frills Not really a breakfast, over soft beds when we asked for 1 King, thin walls
Super clean, comfortable bed, friendly, helpful staff. Perfect place to stop on a long drive . Quiet, close to freeway and meal options.
We got a deal online and it was available on short notice. The location is about the closest budget motel to the theatre district. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean and smelled fresh. Everything worked and was in good condition. Plenty of hot water. Tons of TV channels. Coffee, juice, English muffins and bananas for breakfast were tasty. The staff was friendly. It wasn't exactly noisy but it isn't the quietest location and there is nothing romantic about it.. It backs up to a grocery store parking lot. The pool is super tiny and fenced into a little triangle spot in the parking lot next to the street that has no atmosphere whatsoever (looks like a dog kennel). The room was pretty dark and the furniture is very low-budget. The refrigerator worked okay but made a loud bang every time it cycled off. The included breakfast was just English muffins and bananas. Definitely a place to stay the night and move on rather than a destination or a place for an extended stay.
It was clean and comfortable with shopping and good food near by.
It was in a perfect location, clean rooms, friendly staff and quiet, while being centrally located, Can't think of anything....
Good value in a generally xpensive area. This property is right at the Junction of 2 main roads and surrounded by business's so look elsewhere if you want quiet solotude, however the rooms are OK and the pizza place is right next door! Leaf blower guy outside everyone's back window @ 9 PM
Fairly quiet, clean bathrooms, nice beds
The room was affordable and conveniently located off the I-5 near gas stations and grocery stores. A good place to stay for convenience. While the room was great, the rest of the hotel was sub-par. The ice machine was broken. The tables in the breakfast room were dirty. No one was attending the front desk both times I visited it. Most importantly, the tail light of my friends car was punched in overnight, likely in an attempt by someone to access and steal something from the trunk.
Small room. Poor quality breakfast.not very clean. Will not stay there again. 2 nights later we stayed at a comfort inn and couldn't believe how much better for the same price.
staff is very friendly, close enough to town, free breakfast if you eat gmo's black mold in shower
I traveled with my small dog and was given a room to accommodate him. The room smelled of old stale tobacco. The blanket was an old spongy type that was faded to beige and offered no warmth. The bedspread had cigarette burns in it. The outside area around and behind it looked like a community dump site. I was worried about walking my dog there. The room appeared to be clean just OLD , smelly, and outdated. I have stayed there before and have have been pleased with my room. I don't know that I will stay there again. I guess you get what you pay for.
Liked the price and cleanliness.
Super polite front office! Front office hours are limited. The layout of the room was just plain awkward and it lacked a table and chairs. Actually, there was nowhere to kick back and relax in the property. Definitely not worth over $100 for the night.
The room was warm, the wooden floors and the simpleness of the decoder inviting. The bed was comfortable and the tiled shower was inviting. I highly recommend this Motel. The fact that it's pet friendly and also has option with a room with a kitchenette will motivate me to return.
The stay was fine. But our group of friends consisted of four people over 6 feet tall. Our reservation was for 2 queen beds, but the room was only full size beds. The shower was amazing, and the location was good. The beds were small
I love the vintage furniture with modern updates. The blankets were nice too Kind of annoying you can only turn in from one direction. We had to make a u turn coming from the other way. No big deal though
I liked that there were plenty of towels, wi-fi worked well, there was a freezer in the fridge and it actually froze things, the bottled water left in the room was free. The bed was very comfortable. It had all the basics for pleasant over-night stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Clean,convenient to surgery center.
Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice and helpful. I would recommend Sovana Inn to any travelers. Best value we found. Room was nicer than many we stayed at for much more money. Can't think of any dislikes.
Older property meticulously maintained. Very very clean. Friendly staff with excellent communications skills.
The life guard poured chemicals over my son's head while in the hot tub! He was an absolute narcissistic jerk. Will NEVER return here again..
Front staff were very friendly and helpful. Facility was clean. Would stay there again, but would advise they honor their pool/slide hours. We chose this motel for the pool/slide for our son. We were a bit Disappointed in the pool. It would be nice if the slide hours were posted because we were in the pool for 10 minutes then the lifeguard announced he needed to take a break, closing the slide for 20-30 minutes. The pool/jacuzzi hours were posted as 9a-10p, but the lifeguard asked us to get out of the jacuzzi 10 minutes early so he could add chemicals. One morning we had to ask someone to unlock the pool for us, and once again the slide was closed, due to no lifeguard on duty.
Hallway smelled old and smokey
Pool and outdoor seating area. Mattress.
Room was pretty clean and comfortable once we got Into it. The bedding was nice. Breakfast was a couple muffins and coffee. The area is a bit less desirable and it was clear the management was having trouble with guests destroying property. It was pretty loud at night in general however we were there over the weekend.
We stayed for 3 days at Medford Inn. It is centrally located from various nice places to visit like Crater Lake, Redwoord national park. The hotel was nice, clean and dirt cheap. It offered great value for money.
Good price Location, some sketchy looking people hanging out close to the rooms
nothing about this hotel deserves a compliment The beds were pure torture. Our room did not have any towels or wash cloths when we checked in, and on day 2 had to track down the maids mid afternoon to get towels. Coffee pot did not work, no ironing board, remote for tv did not work, and prices were raised for busy weekend. Not a good deal.
Cost was good and room had everything I needed. Not much lighting in back but this is minor.
Like the updated floors and bathroom Beds are hard, but I have back problems so others may find the beds alright
Clean and remodeled Heat didnt work
The modern interior design gave the impression that you were getting a lot more bang for your buck. I loved the bathroom and everything was very clean. The price couldn't be beat!
Room was great. We only stayed one night but it was a lot better than Motel 6 North Medford.
The staff person was helpful, friendly and competent. After I complained about being assigned to a room that smelled badly of cigarette smoke, she assigned me to another room and called later to make sure that I was satisfied.
Clean basic rooms.very affordable. Close to freeway exits.quiet the night we stayed. Mattress was very hard and squeeky.sheets were clean but very thin.OK for a late night stop ,early start.
good value for money, clean rooms limited parking due to construction on site
Close to interstate. Smoking by lobby entry; sticky floor; non-functioning toilet; room stank like an old dog. Smoking within 5 feet of my room door and dirty parking lot.
Floor and bathroom wasn't very clean. Supposed to be non smoking but there was left over tobacco smell from the past
Convenient location Pay for internet
It was clean and seemed relatively safe. Although there were people hanging out in the parking lot day and night, no one was ever loud or disruptive. The TV also had more channels than the typical Motel 6. The location couldn't have been worse. Not only is it confusing to drive anywhere, but god forbid you try to navigate on foot-- this area is completely inhospitable to pedestrians. There is also little to speak of within walking distance; there is a truck stop caddy-corner that inexplicably closes at 8:00 on weekdays (and 4:00 on weekends!!), but the adjoining restaurant isn't bad. The TV was also a huge problem. While the channel selection was good, the stupid TV brand (LG) has an apparently hard-wired dimming function. This translates to the TV dimming to the point that the picture is too dark to discern, and it occurs randomly. According to Google, this is LG's "global dimming" feature, and it's impossible for a motel customer to disable. All I know is that around 11:00 at night, I could hardly see what I was watching, and this would continue throughout the night. It happened in 2 separate rooms, and was confirmed by staff to be a feature of the TVs themselves. Finally, I found many of the office staff to be quite rude. Kristin was an exception to this; she was very friendly and helpful, but other staff were rude and seemed disinterested in actually helping customers (especially in the case of the head housekeeper). As a final note, I see no reason a motel of this size doesn't have more than one ice machine. Their sole ice dispenser was out of commission the week I was there, which is incredibly inconvenient in a motel that doesn't offer mini-fridges. If you only have one ice machine, make sure you can keep it in working condition! The cost of a room here is already more than it's worth; at least make sure the amenities are functional.
convenient and friendly staff because it was close to wooded area there were some bugs in the room
You get what you pay for. The staff tried for what they have to work with. Light bulb was out in our room, fridge was warmer than the room, didn't have a shower curtain, carpet felt a little damp and the only blanket on the bed was the thin cigarette burned bed spread.
We liked how close it was to the airport. We liked the price for the value. Family friendly Walking distance for food and river sights Nice TV's and plenty of channels Large room with fridge, microwave, safe coffee in room clean towels Ice machine was in office we left very early so I don't know if they had any kind of breakfast did not offer pool towels
Tv cable clean room right up front parking Nice staff . The shower very small low water pressure no bathtub. Low light in bathroom. But for price it was ok ..
Staff was extremely nice, helpful and kind. I was not afraid my car would get broken into. Motel was very outdated except for a flat screen TV. Carpet, bathtub, and chair were gross. Curtains needed to be replaced. Walls had obviously been repaired multiple times. It's quite possible the mattress had bed bugs. It seemed like a large population of the guests were semi-permanent and many people were hanging around outside although they did not strike me as unsavory. All in all I would certainly not stay here again.
Our room was not clean. The toilet had fecal matter around rim of toilet seat and inside the bowl. There was hair both in the shower and on the lid of the toilet. There was some sort of food substance or possibly vomit residue on the bathroom door. The microwave was covered in grimey fingerprints and food stuff. The tile floor was sticky as if it hadn't been mopped. The carpet was dingy and just felt dirty. Not only that, we had a slug slugging his way around the room leaving trails, but he didn't bother us much. A spider was inside the hand towel I pulled off of the rack and that definitely bothered me. The sheets had spots on them, as did the pillows. The curtains had white smeary stains on them and I don't even want to know what that was. The deadbolt on the door didn't work at all, and almost every time we tried to get into our room our key wouldn't work! Did I bother to tell the office about how disgusting the room was? No. I'd rather leave a review. How about you check and make sure the rooms are actually CLEAN before renting them out. Your housekeepers clearly don't care about hygiene and safety if they are going to put a strip of paper on the toilet that says "sanitized for your protection," and the irony is taking the strip off, lifting the toilet seat and seeing fecal buildup ON THE TOILET that I wiped off and then put paper down every time I had to use it. That is disgusting! I didn't even want to shower because for god sake if the toilet was still filthy the shower likely hadn't been touched! Also, there was no number to call the office, no privacy please door hanger, nothing in the room really, not even a TV guide. No coffee pot, no cups, no ice bucket. At least the mini fridge worked. I will never ever stay at this motel again. No wonder it was almost empty.
Staff was very friendly and the lodge itself seemed to have some historic value in the area. Very off the beaten path and a little on the run down side, maybe due to age of facilities.
Terrific location, great value, large updated room. Nice water pressure in the shower. No bathtub just a shower stall. The free breakfast was ok bit that was expected when you don't pay much for the room.
Smelled like smoke, unclean and the front desk didn't care.
Clean, well maintained, no frills Towels were very thin
From the outside it didn't look like much, but the inside was very, very clean and the bed was ultra-comfortable. It was great to have a fridge since we had been traveling for many days and kept having to refill out cooler with ice (which we did when we left). On top of this, the man who greeted us was extremely nice and upgraded us to a king-size room for no additional charge.
The room was comfortable and totally functional, the price and value were excellent, and the staff were exceptional! They went above and beyond and made everything easy and no nonsense. I would absolutely stay there again, whether traveling alone or with family.
Would stay here again. Clean, comfortable, and an inclusive breakfast (though sparse, don't expect something grand for free).
The room was clean. Internet and cable were really good. The neighborhood was less then ideal. Would not want my family staying there. I feared for the safety of my vehicle and my possessions inside it.
The room was great. Noisey refrigerator loved it had a kitchen. Location. And free breakfast is a bowl of too ripe fruit and prepackaged sweet rolls.
Leaving Owner tried to be intimidating even though I was polite. Threatened all sorts of extra charges because I checked in late. Found he charged me extra without my permission...that's fraud.
