Pros. The room was recently redone. The bed was comfy.
Cons. It is a loud hotel. I was on the 9th floor and I could hear music being played at an event on the first floor at 10 PM. I could hear people walking above me. I am not a light sleeper, but I had to use a white noise app on my phone.
Pros. So much to like!! Runway views, spa, restaurant, concierge lounge, room comfort, kind and helpful staff.
Pros. Excellent, friendly service from all teams here. The meeting spaces were accommodating and pleasant. The glass elevators were fun and swift. I felt like I was in a more down-to-earth Marquis. Rooms were clean and nicely appointed. We had an airport-facing view with balcony. Note the windows and door were sound-insulated, but you’ll still hear the louder engines. I think it was worth it. The bathroom is comfortable, with one official towel hook on the door for a standard king room.
Cons. If you’re a light sleeper and don’t care to watch the fascinating hustle and bustle of ATL, you’ll want to ask for a quieter room. I say that without dinging the hotel. For many, including me, that’s a plus, but it might not be for you if you are a weary travel that just wants to faceplant into a bed for some rest. The bed was OK. I should have gotten a few extra pillows to make up for the mattress, which is a bit stiffer than I was expecting or used to. I didn’t check, but I’m pretty sure there’s no pillow or euro top. Other reviewers seem to like the bed, so tastes may very. I woke up several times to a sore, crooked back or arm, needing to adjust position for comfort when I’m usually down the whole night. The linens were lovely. Our standard king had four feather pillows.
Pros. Hotel absolutely beautiful, close to the airport that we didn’t need to rush to catch our flight. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable.
Cons. Check in staff slightly rude, and argumentative.
Pros. The runway view rooms provide a perfect perch from which to watch all the planes come and go from ATL, a dream come true for my enthusiast son. Sound deadening is excellent, so things are very quiet. Delta flight museum is within walking distance. Staff is professional, friendly and accommodating. Restaraunt and room service, both great.
Cons. I asked a lot Of times to have the room clean and it wasn't and the crew was not nice about it
Pros. Staff was very helpful and efficient. The hotel is beautiful and clean. Room was comfortable.
Cons. Could only find one plug, not enough to charge our devices.
Pros. Clean and comfortable. The staff was friendlier and more service oriented than last time. Betty and Vanessa in the restaurant did a great job.
Cons. Why would a higher-end hotel like this not have the local paper (Atlanta Journal) available for sale? They did not have it six months ago either. $15 Internet for 24 hours is a bit much. But the wired speed was very good.
Pros. The check in was fast and friendly he put our parking on a key and charged it to my room so I wouldn't have to mess with that the next day! The room was cozy and comfortable. The bed was soo comfortable I fell right to sleep. I had a view of the airport but didn't hear not the first plane take off, I was worried about that from reading reviews. No worries cause I slept through the night! It definitely had a luxury feel to it which was nice. Breakfast the next morning was great. It was well stocked and the entire staff was super friendly and willing to help with whatever you wanted. The shuttle service to the airport was fast and efficient. The hotel driver was extremely helpful with were we needed to go. When we finally checked out that was quick and effortless. The entire experience was a win/win! I got a luxury hotel for a non-luxury price! I enjoyed myself and had fun. Definitely recommend and will stay again!!
Cons. What I didn't like is very minimal and the good of the experience far out ways my "bad"....the PARKING LOT, we arrived at 1 AM and didn't do Valet parking, we cruised the parking lot for probably five to ten minutes looking for a parking space. We found one but it had a sign in front of it (not handicap, Renaissance Ambassador of the Year) that clearly stated we shouldn't be parking there. Upon checking in the staff told us it was fine and not to worry, we were "Ambassadors for the night" but we did get the very last parking spot in the parking lot. Overflow parking is across the street, which at 1 AM would not have been fun! Also, when I booked the hotel I knew I was going to have to pay for parking but the website said $12 a day and $16 for valet but it was actually $16 a day and I'm not sure about valet. BREAKFAST, it was a tad more expensive than I was wanting to pay BUT the quality and the quantity of food at the buffet does make it ok. If you visit the buffet multiple times then it is definitely worth the price but if you only go once I think it's a little much. On four people we spent $56 and one person didn't get the buffet, only oatmeal. The drinks were included but really the kinda should be. The food was great though and the wait staff was super friendly. STAFF MEMBER, we needed to use the shuttle service to take my son to the airport and the one that was being loaded was obviously full and no one else was going to get on that shuttle. We asked the Staff Member when the next shuttle was going to be along and he told us 45 minutes. That wasn't going to work for us! So we start to the parking lot to take our car instead and we see another shuttle bus pull up so we head back and indeed he's going to the airport. The shuttle driver made up for the other gentlemen but it was irritating. When we got back I noticed that they have shuttles almost one right behind the other, so I don't understand why we were told 45 minutes. It worked out so it's ok.
Pros. Good room, great check in and check out, great food.
