The only thing positive about the room was the bed. The bed was clean and comfortable.
The room was gross. There were knuckle punch mark in the wall as soon as I walked in. the paint job was sloppy. The furniture out dated and marked up. bathroom counter top falling apart. Hair in the tub. Floor molding missing. lighting in the room was dark. No full length mirror. Only mirror was in the tiny bathroom. Chips of wood missing at bottom of bathroom door. Cheap hollow bathroom door. No fan in bathroom. The walls are paper thin. You can hear your neighbors clearly. Drinking water cups were plastic and not new. They had been used.
Location, clean, hip,
Hot water was tough to adjust in shower
Lights off by elevator.
It was near the water.
Check in was horrible and took forever. It was overcrowded and not enough people at desk to accommodate everyone. The room was very old and dirty, as well as the bathroom. The Annex side of the hotel is an old hotel that does not fit with the Chelsea. I have stated at the Chelsea several times bit never the Annex. The should be 2 separate hotels. ..
Old bathrooms. Dirty hallways.
I like nothing in this hotel dirty room and bed sheets, blankets had blood on it
I checked out that hotel right after 30min check in because don't like the room and has blood on the blanket, and when I talked to the front desk person she said they didn't have any other room available and they charged me 1 night stay even I checked out after 30min
Absolutely nothing!! Room was disgusting...outdated! Nice hot tubs but had to pay for them. Ridiculous!!
Everything...bathroom was gross. Laminate peeling from countertop. Drawers to dresser wouldn't close. DIRTY! ! FLOOR WAS GROSS! VIEW SUCKED! Couldn't check in computers down. .. 2 hours later we went back got this terrible room...demanded a refund and left. 1st day of vacation ruined!
Old and dirty
I was holding my breath as I had read so many reviews of it being dilapidated and smelly. I moved from the Days Inn next door which was exactly that. My room at the Annex ended up being perfect, just like the pics online. It was super clean and comfortable. Great that they shared the 2 pools with the Chelsea. I loved it.
Well my door didn't exactly fit on the hinges. You had to slam it hard for it to lock and even the it wasn't fully on. Guess you can't have it all. ..Also whats up with the fitness center being $15?
It was disgusting, dirty, and it smellled. I will be sending th pictures to you that I took.
The location is awesome and close to the Boardwalk and Beach. The price of the room was great and Room Service were very pleasant.
Besides the fact that the elevator smells and feels like it'll break down, I did not like the Motel theme with the neon signs making it very eery walking down the dimmed hallways. The balcony did not have a screen door to prevent bugs from coming in and Continental breakfast is not included. The towels are from everywhere else except "The Chelsea" and had a molding smell to them. Broken doors throughout hallways and the ice machine is in a Boiler room with a door that slams behind you. Very creepy.
What I enjoyed the most was the pool on the 5th floor on the other side of the hotel (The Chelsea). The sitting area was very nice and the staff were quite pleasant. I also like that our room had a balcony. The location of the hotel was pretty great...steps away from the beach/boardwalk.
Our sheets and pillows werent clean, there were stains on them. Doors were off their hinges in the hall way. The elevators smelled along with the hallways. It really just seemed like a motel.
The Chelsea looks nice and is on the board walk.
The annex looked, felt, smelt, like a cheap hourly motel. The beds were terrible and uncomfortable, no climate control in the room, things falling apart, outlets not working. It was just bad.
Basically everything except the room.
Missing toilet paper holder, dirty floors, poor paint job in bathroom walls, bed frame worn out looking.
It was horrible! We got to our room and the smell was so disgusting I had to go outside right away, I thought I was going to be sick. Then we noticed the wall was black, it looked like mold. The ceiling had water damage, was dipping down & cracked. The furniture was broken & there was a receipt from 2 weeks ago! Oh they also told me that I would pay a $15 valet fee for the length of my stay, but it's actually $15 a day or $5 every time you leave the hotel.
There was nothing I liked about this hotel
I had refused my room at the Annex as I felt like I was in the ghetto at a crack shack motel I then had to upgrade to the other side at the Chelsea for an additional $70 only to find stained pillows without pillow cases The hallways and elevators are filthy and run down I do not recommend this hotel to anyone
This hotel is advertised as a 3.5/4 star hotel, but I would give it 2 stars maximum: the rooms were old, the bathrooms small and really basic, and the whole facility seemed like it needed a major renovation... Also the staff was rude and unhelpful.... Definitely didn't worth the price we paid...
All the amenities. Pool, restaurant, spa, just off beach.
Rooms were very dated. No vacuum for a stay over. Would not pay over $100 for these rooms again even with all of the amenities from main hotel. No notice that second pool and restaurant were under construction - during the busy summer season? Who planned this?
Closeness of the boardwalk. Loved being able to walk out the building And a few steps to it.
My request to have additional pillows and blanket wasn't fulfilled as I put request in at time of booking. No one answered house keeping when called. Additional fees not only for parking per day but use of pool and jacuzzi were additional per person per day. Initial request for high floor wasn't honored and had to request again. Dirty towels and walls. Drunk naked girl tried to push her way into our room after banging on our door like crazy at 3am. What if we had children in there they would have seen all her naked body. Where was security? She was banging on several people's door! It took them forever.. not happy. Not worth the price. not returning.
Location was the best part of this trip.
The annex is the most disgusting part of this hotel. It was old, dirty and smelled rotten. The stains on the floor looked like they haven't been touched or cleaned since 1970. I will never stay here again.
The bed was super comfortable and we both slept quite well. It is located close to Trop and right o. The shuttle route to all other AC destinations without the coat of the casino.
Our room had no real windows. Although we were on 2nd floor the only natural light came from an ceiling height window opening about 9-12" high. Couldn't see out of it. Felt underground. Walls, doors, light switches are dirty and need painting/cleaning desperately. Asked to change room willing to pay more and were avail. But they required we come all the way back across town to make Tue switch even though our credit card on file so we stuck it out. Will go back to the Luxe tower next trip. Much nicer.
Room was clean and comfortable.
The annexes are like the ugly duckling of the family. Shunned away in a corner. The staircase to the annexes kind of gives off a horror movie hostel vibe. The whole exterior really. Thank goodness the room redeemed the entirety of the hotel. Clean, neat, a bit outdated, but for the price paid I can't complain.
I liked the price and the location, but that was not enough to make up for the flaws.
The fact that there was no manual lock so you had to rely on the automatic lock which would be fine if your card was the only one that worked on your room. Unfortunately that is not the case at the Chelsea. We had guests enter our room at 4am because their card worked on our door. It is beyond me how this happened, but it really shook us up and did not allow us to sleep well that night. Spend a little more and stay at a hotel which will give you your OWN room.
Room was great, par to expectations. By far cheapest hotel for the location
The furniture was very cute, the bed was spacious and the sheets were lovely. The staff was attentive at the front desk even though we arrived later in the evening.
The annex section of this hotel could use a facelift because going from the gorgeous lobby to the annex was a little shocking. The bathroom tiles could have been cleaner in our room and there was a light fixture in the wall that was not covered.
Close to casinos
We got put off in the corner it looked like the ghetto and we paid good money when you walk in it's nice but then we went to our hotel and it looked horrible no refrigerator no ice machine ...the carpets were nasty the bathroom omg it was this little table like it was horrible seriously the hood...it was so trap ...every up set about the room very upset ...very upset waste of money slit of money :/
Very outdated, overpriced with no real amenities for the value, I've stayed in Atlantic City a lot and honestly staying at the near by Howard Johnson or similar hotels offer you a cleaner more modern room although a tiny bit out of town or off the strip the difference in price will pay for taxi or parking compared to staying at the annex which in my opinion is a dump!
