Car was in terrible condition (cracked windshield, smoky smell inside, scratches on exterior, interior was dusty and dirty), no walkthrough with the agent to determine pre-existing damage—he just handed me the keys to a beat-up car. Agent overstated gas available at pickup (full when it was only 3/4 full), and vastly underestimated mileage at pickup (by 800 miles!). Upon return, the agent eyed me suspiciously when I said the A is agent had t competed a walkthrough and the damage was pre-existing. I showed him pics I took in the lot before driving away to prove that the damage was already there, but now I’m worried Avis will send me a fraudulent bill.Reviewed May 30 2023
