Avis has no counter or rental office at this airport. I had to rent from Budget after arriving. Additionally this wasted several good daylight hours going back and forth with the Avis Customer Support to find a solution which they never provided.Reviewed Mar 22 2025

We ordered and paid for a GPS. We discovered about an hour away from the airport that it did not have GPS. I called Avis but they had no GPS units available unless I went to a major airport. They lie to you on the phone just to get you in the door, I was told that I would be able to rent the vehicle I picked out online, and I called to confirm three times and everytime I was told over the phone that they reserved the vehicle and it will be ready for me to pick it up. I go to pick it up and it just so happens that I can’t rent that “specific vehicle” and I would have to rent the more expensive one. I was lied to and they will lie to you tooReviewed Mar 19 2025

The car was covered in snow and customer service person made no effort to walk around the vehicle The person was very short when I asked about getting a ride when I return th Ed car at the end of day. Customer service person was not the most friendly person when I went back into ask for a snow brush. I reserved a car from Indianapolis to Cincinnati. When I arrived at the Avis kiosk, the lady told me that they don’t honor same day reservations and that she doesn’t have a car for me. This was close to midnight and without the great service from the people at National car rental, I would’ve been stuck in Indianapolis. I understand that it might be challenging for companies to deal with short term reservations - this one was done like 4-5 hrs before pickup - but the way this issue was handled, was extremely poor. Cherry on top was that they told me, that my booking is non-refundable and I had to go out of my way to settle this. Good thing is - I now find a new favorite company to rent from, which is National and one, I’ll never consider again, due to their poor service.Reviewed Mar 18 2025
