very good hotel very good foodgood
upgrade me to a better room as the original room was not ready the spa should also be opening in the morning
The pool and the Sauna Landschaft - the beautiful setting of the hotel. We loved the Sauna Landschaft, but it was closed one day, and we find it strange that nakedness should be compullsory (seems a very strange German wish for strict rules) - anyway neither we nor several others stripped our swimsuits!. We came mainly for the Offenbach Festival Concert, but we thought it strange that the restaurant doesnt adapt to the times of the concerts: no way to have dinner at the hotel before or after concert. An improvement would also be to have easy access to Internet even without bringing a laptop. But we had a lovely time! Karl Johan Danell
Excellent breakfasts, good location Parking was a problem, particularly for my disabled wife
Staff and Breakfast. This is an old resort slowly coming to an end. Terrible furniture, worst sheets. One room smelled, another extremely dark (had to upgrade it). Bathrooms were fine. Only for older people interested in hot spring.
one of the best spa hotels I ever visited
Friendly staff, good food, good value for money Not bad as such, clearly refurbishment is underway - but my room had dated look
Old fashioned spa-hotel, very atmospheric. Good spa and sauna facilities. Bathroom had a stale smell; needed airing.
We loved the Spa and Welness. Room was very nice and breakfast excellent. A place to relax. Nice view also from the room.
Everything is excellent...I would recommend this hotel to everybody who likes thermal spa facilities.
We loved our stay at Häckers Kurhotel. The hotel is placed in Bad ems a really small town, and it felt like you were seperated from the rest of the world. Time stod still. The hotel itself was wonderful, the staff was really really serviceminded and the breakfast was excellent...So if you are looking for a hotel and surroundings to completely relax in- this is the place..
Central riverside location in a quiet attractive town, and a very good evening meal in the pavement terrace restaurant.
Didnt like being charged 25 euros for putting some sheets onto a sofa. Should have been advised the cost in advance. Didnt like being told we couldnt use the free parking opposite and being told to use the paid parking some distance away so they could make some more money.
It is in a clean and quiet town located only 18 minutes by train from Koblenz Station. Because it is a little further out from major tourist attractions, I found my hotel room to be very spacious, well-equipped for the price with free Wi-Fi and the quietest of all the hotel rooms that I stayed in during my trip. The restaurant at the hotel also served pretty decent food for dinner and the waitresses can speak a bit of English. If you want to visit Cochem, Koblenz (or Bonn / Cologne if you have a Eurorail pass), then this is a good hotel to stay in as a base for your day trips: quiet, well-equipped, clean, and well-priced. Nothing bad about the hotel, but make sure you check your train schedule as to when you catch your trains. Sometimes, there can be as few as just one train every hour or so.
Pleasant staff. Good bar. As the room was at the back of hotel and facing a cliff, it was quite dark.
the food was very good, choice of wines was perfect, and the cook/owner was very attentive. the staircase to the rooms upstairs is a bit difficult for older people who carry luggage. maybe the hotel can assist older people carry their luggage upstairs. one small problem with the breakfast buffet where guests can make fresh orange juice themselves with a squeezing machine: the idea is nice, but in practice it does not work very well to squeeze the oranges. It takes a long time and it is easy to hurt your hands.
it's a very quiet place, with a very nice viewpoint on the valley. the food was excellent. gorgeous breakfast on the terrace The deco was dated and the pictures of the rooms on the site didn't reflect the reality
Staff really friendly. Staff really friendly. Beautiful scenery. No lift, rooms all on the 1st floor, not suitable for handicapped.
The staff is top! The restaurant is also very good. Great value for money. none
The breakfast was amazing and so too were the staff! I can't say enough good things about this place. It was perfect for anyone looking to get away from a busy work life. There is ample parking and great roads for the less adverterous. We went on foot from the train station which is possible but its an uphill walk for 40 mins. The rooms are cosy and the view into the valley is superb. I would definitely stay here again.
Great location, great views, extremely quiet and restful. Food and wine were excellent, service and friendliness were wonderful. We speak very little German but the staff were very helpful.
A very nice privately owned hotel in a picturesque place on a hill with a view on Bad Ems town. The restaurant is very good. The staff is very amiable. The place is quiet, excellent for having a rest and a good sleep. The hotel is isolated from the town on a high hill, and it is possible to get there only by car. But that was not a real problem for us however.
Friendly and helpful at front desk and esp mr at restaurant inside hotel!!!
Rooms oK Yes At check-in the receptionaist behind desk indicated breakfast was included. I topld her I thought not. I asked her to double check and she confirmed yes. So when I check out I was charged 44Euro for breakfast. I was upset that I was misled after I que
Super clean rooms that are well appointedParking includedexcellent restaurant Check in staff said breakfast was included and then it was an expensive $12 Euro extra per person at check out. Ouch.
Very clean; nearby parking; just at the bus station
Very nice hotel, friendly staff, breakfast perfect. Hotel not easy to find just even with a gps, behind a huge bus station. I was just 20 m from the entrance and couldn't see it.
We enjoyed the old town, but were a bit disappointed that the castle was under repairs We had specificaly asked for a non-smoking room, but were taken to smoking rooms. In the end, we opted for a downgrade of rooms and the staff did manage to find a non-smoking room in this category
The hotel is new and right beside teh train and bus stations. Only a 20 minute walk to the merging of the Rhine and Mosel rivers.
Modern design and cleanliness. Easy to find close to train station Staff not overly helpful or knowledgable of tourists' needs. Seedy feel of train station opposite. Long walk to old town.
Very big room and very nice (but little expensive) restaurant.
Good service and food. Value for money.
Very clean, comfortable room with a wonderful view. Lovely location. All staff excellent, friendly and helpful. Restaurant serves delicious meals. Good choice of breakfast, (although a little pricey)Changing facilities in the swimming pool. We would have liked a coffee maker in the room. Internet charges were a bit much and smoking permitted in the lobby.
Super location. Excellent Room. Quality restaurant None
The lovely room, decorated nicely with a view of the Rhine River. The service at check in was extremely slow.
The outstanding view and the room itself See statement above
Very comfortable room with a river view.Nice breakfast. A slight disappointment was that the breakfast buffet differed depending on how busy the hotel was. i.e. no scrambled eggs/bacon available on 'quiet' mornings.Given that there is a charge for the breakfast this was a bit of a letdown.Travellers should also be aware of the fact that the hotel is opposite Koblenz and unless you eat in the hotel in the evening you have to move across. That said, once you work out possibilities , not too bad.
This is a great hotel. The rooms are extremely nice. What a pleasant surprise! The smell of cigarette smoke in the lobby. I think their separate smoking area does not work. Should be strictly no smoking all over the hotel.
The restaurant offered excellent meals at very reasonable prices and provided a good buffet breakfast. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
the Diehl's hotel place near the river, it made me quite relzx no, air conditioner. its quite hot.
The location is closed to the pier and the Deutsche Eck.
the phone was not working in the room and the tech would only fix it in the next day
central location extremley friendley & profesional efficient staff
reception staff were helpful ran out of some breakfast items early; waitress at dinner hard to find when not attending to empty tables - only 3 people in restaurant; dirty glasses outside the door - no clean ones inside.
Welcoming, helpful and accomodating staff. Construction of a new hotel was taking place right next door to our hotel which resulted in disturbance. The overall experience was affected would however recommend if there's no construction.
I really enjoyed my stay. When I got there, front staff welcomed me with smile and gave me a good scenery room where I could see river. And It was under construction out there, but I couldn't hear the noise in the room. Beautiful room, clean bathroom, convenient espresso machine and delicious breakfast. Everything was perfect. Like I said, Everything was perfect.
The water for tea, coffee from the burco was not hot enough - sometines only warm
The staff and servers were very friendly and helpful. Our bathroom needed some work. The shower handle fell off every time you tried to turn the water on. There was mildew on the tile in the shower and the drain did not work very well and didn't look very clean.
Breakfast is ok, International hotel Creating a new building at the opposite
Good service when we needed to change room for a less noisy one We first got a room on 9th floor that had a high level humming noise, impossible to sleep in
This is an excellent hotel, with multilingual courteous desk staff and a recent refit. The breakfast is outstanding (especially on Sunday), and the hotel staff cannot be friendlier or more helpful. My travelling companion had to eat lunch in the restaurant, and the order was wrong, not great quality, and the service argumentative and surly. Best avoided for food during the day.
Brand new hotel. Everything works perfectly. Polite and efficient reception staff. Not so easy to find it, because of its location in a complicated roads junction. But once you get out of the traffic mess, it's at 15 minutes walk to city centre.
Hotel was typical Germanic efficiency without the room being particularly remarkable. Receptionist was extremely helpful; car parking was convenient, and the distance to walk to the town centre took only 15 minutes. Whilst the hotel was more than adequate for an overnight stop, it would not appeal for a longer length of stay.
Good clean hotel within easy access to local attractions Room too hot even on low temp setting. Staff not aware of local facilities such as restaurants and international money exchange.
Price and friendly staff
Very clean, nice hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Short walk (approximately 10 minutes) to shops, restaurants, and the train station.
Comfortable, not too expensive, clean and ordered room/common areas, amiability of the staff, the breakfast buffet was diversified and consequent Location of the hotel: Its location makes it difficult to find, even with a map.
Convenience to the city centre.Staff were welcoming and efficient. The Hotel was bright and clean looking. More towels would have been appreciated.Pillows were insufficent, but were quickly added to on request.
Excellent B&B. Good location at the city entrance, walking distance to the historical center. Good shower. Good price. Comfortable and clean room with TV, A/C, telephone, etc. Breakfast is expensive at 6,90. But there is a shopping center nearby, with a supermarket, it’s a good alternative to eat cheaper.
It was very clean. Lots of parking available (free). The design was modern but cute. I liked the check-in machine, so we could check-in after hours. Instead of a key, the door used an electronic PIN code, so we didn't have to worry about losing a key. Internet was available. I also liked that they provided an extra blanket, so we didn't get cold.
I am spoiled with nice hotels, and I was really impressed with B&B hotel - I did not expect that it is so nice, very clean, new furniture, new repair work. Staff is very friendly and helpful- I forgot a golden ring in the room after check out, few hours later they help me to find it! The hotel is not far from the center, around 10 min by walk, when you explore the city, it does not really matter. We did not hear any noise from the big road after the hotel. I would recommend the hotel as a good value for money, very clean and cosy hotel.
Great hotel, good restaraunt, amazing views.
staff where helpful, breakfast was brilliant plenty of choice, beds where very comfortable meals in the evening where very expensive 25 euro for buffet not including drinks, bar menu was rubbish, not much choice and quiet expensive too. local food is definately worth it
The food was excellent and the room was the best i had ever had.
A True 4 star business hotel. Excellent value for the money the room was spotless, the hotel staff very helpful. The location was excellent for sightseeing of the Rhein/Mosel Region. $20 euro breakfast was not included in the price.
It was an affordable hotel with good service and a nice view. It was a considerable distance from Koblenz
It was clean and the view was lovely from our room That there is no swimming pool - everywhere there are signs around the hotel that say SPA or thermal spa - and the swimming pool is empty in a state of disrepair - however the countryside next to the hotel is very nice.
Very comfortable hotel. rooms very clean. Helpfull staff. Good location near Koblenz. Nice garden.
We enjoyed our stay because the staff was very friendly and accomodatimg. The hotel is very nice, the room was very clean, and the breakfast had a good variety. The breakfast was costly if you are not a big eater.
Superb view from 10th floor! Excellent breakfast! The best all our holiday!
Staff should be fluent in English. The rooms should have air co.
Away from the center of the city nestled on top a hill. Nice view. We booked a Leisure Deluxe room. Rooms are listed as follows: On Wyndham Site: Business Room (30 sqm) Junior Suite (37 sqm) Standard Double (18 sqm) Standard Single (18 sqm) Suite (70 sqm) Suite Deluxe (85 sqm) Superior Double (22 sqm) Triple Room (52 sqm) Notice, the only place the word “Deluxe” exists is the "Suite Deluxe" which is 85 sqm! When we arrived, we were told we would be given an upgrade of a room as our room type was not available. We were given a Triple Room. How can we be upgraded if we booked the best room they had? After complaining about the room, we were told that they only had 2 different room types: standard and business. The business room was the same as a triple. After showing the staff their website, they confirmed that it is misleading but that there was nothing they could do. They had nothing else to offer. One staff member said, if they had a suite, they would give it to us. So I proceeded to go online to find that I could still book a Junior Suite. The room was supposed to have a “deep soaking tub”. We got a 80cm x80cm shower. I'm still scratching from a bedbug bite. Mattress was sagging (we got 2 twin beds and booked a king). The room and balcony needed paint. On the balcony the paint was actually flaking off. The shower faucet was old and deteriorated. The radiator hadn't been dusted off in months. The safe was so small that you couldn't even fit a netbook... no key anyway. The sink was installed lower than code. The pillows were several years old. The curtains would not close. And we were given no maid service the first day because we left the room around noon. 4 stars? Don't go there!
Friendly and accomodating staff, right next to the train station, adequate breakfast, and a good value if you're just looking for a cheap place to stay. I don't know what the complainers on this site were expecting for 40 Euro per night. Buckingham Palace? Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Quit your limey whining and buck up if you want a 4 star hotel. It's a little worn out, kind of like british dental work.
The hotel is central & it is easy to reach the town centre & other points of interest. one of staff extremely rude & unhelpful
the staff were very friendly its quite old, needs updating.
Very friendly and helpful staff who were happy to serve breakfast at 06.00 on our last day to enable us to catch a very early trainBreakfast was excellent and very filling. Stay was good value for money and enjoyable. Lack of shower curtain and shower head that could not be attatched to the wall.
It was direct near the main station, the room and the bathroom was enormous and relatively clean. The breakfast and the dinner were quite good.
Very central, but adequately sound-proofed. Walking distance to many sights. Friendly staff. Good restaurant/bar across the road. Furniture and fittings very run-down and/or in disrepair (though beds were comfortable enough), questionable cleanliness throughout the hotel.
Everything was okay compared with the price. The hotel was good but seemed to be a little bit worn down.
Location. It did not seem very clean. The sheets were dirty. The rooms need the renovations, specially the shower.
The hotel is very well located for shopping, sight seeing, restaurants and the train station. I didn't like having no towels for two days and waiting over an hour for a member of staff to some up. I also don't like being sworn at when trying to pay a bill with a credit card.
The staff are friendly and very helpful. Clean but oudated in style. The price is reasonable and it is centralise. The hotel is very out of style, the carpet need changing, no toileteriies. No remote control for T.V and the heater was not working properly.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly, greeting you as you came and went from your room. For the price we paid for the room I have no complaints.
convenience to the old town and the Rhein Boats could do with a mini bar and /or tea's made/ coffee
Excellent location; fabulous breakfast
great location good breakfast too early check out time staff does not speak english fluently
Very convenient for old town. Lovely breakfast room, tastefully decorated in keeping with original style. Excellent breakfast.
The staff was extremely helpful in pointing out places to go and things to see. The rooms were very pleasant and comfortable.
Location to Rhine. Ideal for short stop over Severe step up to shower / toilet cubicle
The hotel is conveniently located near the shopping areas and Deutsches Eck, Since we were interested in visiting Koblenz' Christmas Market, it was an excellent choice.. Bathroom was very small.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room location was excellent. No air conditioning
Charming olde world style - staff very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast room charming and selection more than adequate. Use of Internet most helpful. Position in the city excellent for sight seeing, access to the Rhine Ferry and all points of interest.
The staff were very friendly and helpful :)
This is a well run family hotel. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The breakfasts are good and the room was most comfortable. The location is on the banks of the Rhine, giving wonderful views.
Room with a Rhine view. parking lot. small balcony. very kind hotel staff. a little bit dark bathroom. no mini bar.
a good spot to stay for a night or 2 to see the Rhine Valley, river boat stop 100 metres away, reasonable food in the restaurant It was quite warm when we were there and there is no air conditioning as we found with most hotels in Germany. Good ventilation with the windows open but quite noisy from nearby train line and houses
The staff were incredibly helpful. The buffet breakfast was fantastic, and the room was very clean and comfortable.
Great location and superb restaurant. Not all staff spoke English but all went out of way to help us. The hotel allowed us to store our bikes in their storeroom free of charge. Good value. In it's day the hotel would have looked very smart but is now clear dated. Avocado bath suits! B'fast basic compared to many.
The new owners are very dedicated to their guests. Warm and friendly service. We thought the reserved table for our included breakfast was a lovely touch, and our two dinners at the Krone were excellent.
The location along side the Rhine was excellent. The food was good. The noisy rail lines close by.
the room with view on he Rhine the breakfast hall
The hotel is in a good position with good facilities and an excellent buffet breakfast. We were surprised the hotel did not have a night porter. We had a problem the first night getting into the hotel.
Staff very efficient, car parking/garage most useful, would stay there again
Simple reservation via internet x
Excellent location close to the old town. Superb breakfast from cafe Wermenn just five minutes walk away rather than hotel. Stayed one night only as part of a driving trip along Mosel. Good underground car park. Internet not included in price.
Lady at the reception was very kind, very helpful, very cheerful.
The breakfast was excellent.
The large bedroom The noise from the street below
The hotel was very conveniently located, being a short walk from the historical district of Koblenz. The room was comfortable and I was able to catch up with the news in English on CNN on the TV in the room. I appreciated very much the fact that it was possible to use the Internet for free from a computer set up in the lobby. The bathroom looked a bit old, but was perfectly serviceable.
Close to city activities and river. Noisy.
