9.5 Excellent
Pros: This was a really nice house and the host was very friendly. I would also say that at 60 Euros it was the best value for money of my whole Ireland trip.
Cons: I can't really think of a minus point for this Guest House. If I was being really picky, there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, you had to make it downstairs in the guest room. This was really no problem though, just trying to think of something to say!

Pros: Fantastic hosts
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the attention given to us by the very friendly and thoughtful hostess and host: Patricia and her husband Tommy. We have stayed in 4 B&Bs during our recent holiday in Ireland and the breakfast prepared by Patricia and Tommy was the best we had because of the huge variety and quality therein. I predict no one could eat it all. The full Irish breakfast with variations was delicious plus the fresh fruit and in addition Patricia made some delicious scones with jam and cream. Our room and spacious bathroom were adequate for our needs. This B&B is ideally suited for visiting Ballina and other nearby regions.
Cons: That we only stayed there 2 nights. Not enough time to see and do in the Ballina and surrounding regions.

Our bedroom with 4 poster bed was very romantic. Breakfast was lovely fab cheese selection just turn off the radio and get some soft relaxing music on please!! Nora on check in was lovely other staff could be more like Nora!
Cons: Bar closed at 11pm. Nice relaxing music needed in bar drawing room etc believe me this is badly needed if you want your guests to be comfortable! On check out no friendliness, no goodbye or how was your stay .. not good! Better toiletries needed in bathroom why not use local voya??
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful
Cons: The whole package and loved the woods
7.5 Good
Pros: * Location - it felt very safe and secluded yet it was only circa 10min drive from Ballina town centre and 20 mins away from Enniscrone Beach and a walkpath if you fancy a little stroll on the property. * Cleanliness - the room place was very clean and tidy, very commendable. * Breakfast - yummy and portions were huge. If you are a small eater like myself, it is worth to notify the server that you don't need the full portion (esp the scrambled eggs :-))
Cons: * Room was warm. * We arrived at the hotel and was told everything was paid for already as they have processed through the credit card we provided (we were also handed the receipt of full payment for 2 nights). But when we left, we got charged extra for the girls' roll away beds. We didn't think we will be charged as the room was very cramped due to the roll up beds... so, in the end, felt like we got hit by small prints and details.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed, 5 star food in the restaurant, short walk to Ballina, wonderful woods, perfect break away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: See above.
Cons: Could not find a fault. What a wonderful place to stay. I loved it and cant wait to go back. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It's an amazing building and I loved the history of it. Stephen did a brilliant guided tour of the castle. The room was really quaint and comfortable with everything that was needed. The dining room is so unique as is the bar and lounge. There were preparations ongoing for a wedding and I got to see the banquet hall in all its splendour. The grounds and forest walk are also fantastic. I really want to return and experience it all again. Thank you to all at Belleek Castle.

Pros: A good place to stay for exploring Ballina and its surroundings. It is an easy walk into Ballina for an evening meal etc. The full Irish breakfast was excellent, and we could have had more food if we had wanted. The room was relatively small, but clean and decent for what we wanted.
Cons: The walk along the road into Ballina wasn't so good, with brambles growing across the path. It is much better to walk through the nearby housing estate down to the river and into Ballina that way.

Pros: Lovely room and views. Staff friendly and food excellent Spa excellent
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The view from the room was simply amazing. So good that we ordered room service breakfast so we didn't have to leave. The outdoor hot tub and sharing seaweed bath were just beautiful too, so relaxing!
Cons: The only one thing that I didn't enjoy about our entire stay was having to walk through the afternoon tea dining room in our bathrobes on route to the spa. It was quite busy at the time we were passing through and it was just a little uncomfortable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. The Moy estuary views were top class and it was very relaxing listening to the gentle sounds of its rushing waters.
Cons: The heavy duvet on the bed was far too warm for this high summer time of year. Suggest you put a lighter sheet under the duvet as a light alternative. We asked that this be done ✅ at reception and it was promptly acted upon which we really appreciated.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel and staff
Cons: Distance from centre is more than 0.7 mile
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The design of the room, so you get to face the water and watch the birds. Hotel is very clean, the tub is very nice as well. Enjoyed the quite room, and the afternoon tea is not bad either.
Cons: While you are facing the water, keep in mind others can see you as well, occasionally kayakers would wave and say hi to you while you are in bed. lol The restaurant is nice but really overpriced.
6.8 Good
Pros: Food in the restaurant was exquisite and staff were very helpful.
Cons: Spa area wasn't great, one hot tub not fully functioning and those in the restaurant and anyone walking past on the street above could see the outdoor spa area so not very exclusive or luxurious feeling. Sound in the bedrooms travelled A LOT from the bathroom.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfy room and views
Cons: Cooked breakfast could have been better ,toast was cold. The full brekfast was just average.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved the architecture, balcony, view and food. We only stayed while passing through, so I can't comment on location (re: things to do) but the hotel itself was a great location.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was lovely, location was good distance from town, beds were on soft side, no leisure centre and feel there should be no charge to use outdoor tub spa and steamroom. otherwise nice. Town very dead.

Cons: the easy chairs in the bar are due for re-upholstery
7.5 Good
Pros: Location .. cleanliness
Cons: Was charged extra for 2 extra scones at Afternoon tea.. asked for an omelette at breakfast it was like asking for something illegal .. the lady did ask the chef who agreed to do it " as a once off and it would not be available tomorrow as everyone would want it " the whispering that went on when illegal omelette was delivered to the table was something the secret service would be proud off and the omelette plate was removed swiftly and discretely from the table to avoid exposing the other "2" guests to any trace of the illegal item.. in fairness thanks to the chef for breaking such strict policy for me ... in fairness the whole omelette operation was ridiculous. I promise I wont ask again. Issue 3 was that all the water was off in the bathroom at bed time .. leaving the long awaited soak in the bat a distant dream the resulted in washing the face with baby wipes and the teeth washed in the complimentary (in fairness bottled water " ... not good ..!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful country estate property. Our room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. Large bathroom with dual sinks and a separate tub and shower. Breakfast was included in our stay. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: As we needed to find a dinner spot, we asked our host for a recommendation. Following her specific , detailed directions we found the restaurant easily. The food and service were excellent. We then visited another special local place (also suggested and highly recommended) to complete a lovely evening. Our host's local knowledge was invaluable. Thank you. Our room was quiet, peaceful and comfortable. We reluctantly took to the road, fueled with a generous, delicious breakfast . Too short a stay.

Cons: I would like to have choice what to eat Cereals, Irish breakfast or milk, skim milk is not my choice, my choice not theirs. it should be written down what we like and have it ready by morning. I dont like to be told what time we must have breakfast suit them and make way for other to come. I was shocked we were separated from other visitors.

Pros: Very nice room in a peaceful location, surrounded by green fields. Outstanding bathroom.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: There is nothing I could really say that I liked about this facility. First off it was extremely hard to find. Anybody I asked for directions, never heard of it. The bedroom was of very low standard with no en suite facility . The room was cold & insufficient bed linen. The owners were elderly & in my opinion not really suitable to this type of business. The lady of the house tried to be helpful but didn't meet my requirements. This was booked for me by my friend as it was close to the area I needed to be for an appointment, as she thought.!!! I had travelled from Egypt early the previous day & then drove from Dublin to here straight after landing the following day , so as you can imagine, I was extremely tired & hungry. I wanted to go out for something to eat & was told not to, as I wont find my way back. I then asked if I could get a delivery sent to the house, but again I was refused. She made a pizza for me, but it wasn't edible. It was still frozen in parts. When it came to breakfast there was very little I could have due to religion. I definitely feel this B & B should be looked into before further bookings are taken for it.
Cons: Everything

Pros: Nice large hotel with good room sizes. Friendly staff a good selection at breakfast. Nice bar area, evening food was good, but not an extensive menu (I had a burger one night and fish and chips the second). Location on road into Ballina. Plenty of parking. Didn't use the gym or pool, but had a lovely spa treatment.
Cons: Room was a little warm on the first day. Was able to open the window, but air con would've been nice. Also no minibar/fridge in room. A good 30 minute walk into Ballina (along a footpath, but next to the main road).

Pros: Very welcoming. Great value fo money.
Cons: No negatives
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was very clean and comfortable. Good facilities, excellent pool. Food very good, plenty of choice at breakfast and always replenished. Staff very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Background piped music to hang yourself to in McShanes bar/restaurant. Fellow guests who insist on letting their doors slam in the morning, just because they are up already. Touring coach that sat outside our bedroom window with its engine running for 20 minutes from 7:30 in the morning.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and effecent. Good evening meal and breakfast.
Cons: Could do with more chearful music while dining playlist more suited to a funeral. Some maintenance issues need attention.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Plenty of parking, had leisure centre but didn't have time to avail of it. Food was tasty.
Cons: Bar area and dining area all the one, staff not helpful when problems arose in more than one of our rooms. Very restricted menu in the evening, no choice of light snacks if needed. Beds were really bad. 2 beds pushed together and one was only fit for the skip, another of our group said her bed was broken also, another of our group had trouble with the floor in their wet room, when asked for manager, told they were busy, manager came out of office after a short while, our friend asked to be moved, told no other rooms available. . Floor was dangerously slippery. Expected better at cost of €110 double room only
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, couldn’t do enough for us. Lovely spa treatments by Tiffany, she was lovely and my spa package was perfect, would highly recommend having a treatment. The room was nicely presented and spacious. Food in the restaurant was amazing, ate there every night. Kids loved the kids club. Will definitely come back.
Cons: Surface around the pool could do with maintenance and the pool fan broke so it was very warm in there. The carpet in the room could do with a clean but these are minor problems. Overall a brilliant stay.

Pros: Breakfast was fantastic and location was great too. Staff very nice and friendly. Hope to visit again soon.

Pros: reception staff.
Cons: Hotel room doors banging in the morning. Lack of parking
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good, location is great... right on the river Moy. Staff, including night staff and desk staffers Maureen and Marie, were extremely helpful and kind.
Cons: The internet was down for two days. The short hallways and numerous fire doors make for a confusing maze. Some wait staff members were not very kind to guests who tried to seat themselves in the crowded breakfast room. There was an evening party and party guests were smoking in the hotel entrance, keeping the doors open so cigarette smoke permeated the lobby.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Not a good stay. Reception staff were not helpful, we were not given a receipt for our stay, and no parking, we were given a green hotel ticket for nearby car park, and we met a lovely ticket inspector who said hotel had no permission to give these out and asked us to give her the ticket so she could show Mayo county council, overall the worst hotel we ever stayed in ,
Cons: Toilet seat broken, shower and sink did not have proper running water , food was overpriced and not nice, staff very unfriendly and said because we booked with you , then you have to give receipt even though John Burke gave them cash on arrival 516 euro and hotel bar not opened at all , very badly run hotel
