Pros: this is the meaning of "home away from home" i actually felt like i'm staying at a friends house rather then an B&B. Paul is charming and amazing person. he gave us so many tips for the walks and drive around the area - that's worth a lot! the room is cozy and comfortable. the breakfast is AMAZING. Paul makes you whatever you want to eat! its like home! recommend it very much.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed for one night on our way north. Lovely place, would highly recommend.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A lovely property and really friendly owner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just perfect all round! One of the friendliest and most comfortable B&Bs I've ever stayed in. Paul went out of his way to make sure everybody was happy, with fresh-cooked breakfast (and Nutella and kiwi fruit for the kids), and perfectly planned day trips round the Peak District as well as recommendations for food and cinema. We'll definitely be coming back!
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, owners, breakfast, price, in fact nearly everything.
Cons: Bed we had not long enough for someone 6'2" plus. Shared bathrooms, others are not always as considerate as you!!
5.4 Okay
Pros: Beds were comfortable & owner was friendly & helpful once she’d returned from holiday.
Cons: Breakfast was worst I’ve ever experienced- lukewarm tinned chopped tomatoes on 1 piece of cheap sliced BURNT toast. Helper was unfriendly, didn’t seem to know what she was doing & looked offended when we asked for 2nd piece of toast. No jam provided and TV on showing terminally ill girl & animal cruelty whilst we tried to eat the disgusting breakfast. We didn’t bother returning for breakfast the 2nd morning even though we had paid for it. To be fair to the owner once she returned from her holiday she was very friendly & helpful but the woman appointed in her absence neither smiled, or was helpful. She showed us to a room with a broken handle that came off each time we shut the door and is not cut out for hospitality. Lastly whilst we were happy to stay in someone’s family home our ‘deluxe double room’ had photo frames of family children which made us feel uncomfortable and numerous sharp parts from racing cars around the room that we had to avoid. No bedside light for 1 of the beds.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Couldn't stay longer

7.1 Good
Pros: The cleaners down stairs in reception and seating Area Liked the little kids corner at breakfast , and breakfast and coffee good.
Cons: The room had a smell to it , I think the mattress , was a very light smell , but horrible , the room was clean and tidy , I think the cleaners are not using clean water for each room. So if some1 in last room was sick or weed on the floor , the mop gets put in water and used for the next room , the slate tiles holds wee and muck and Smells funny.

7.1 Good
Pros: Location was great, few minutes off the motorway junction. Use of Bannatynes made the stay feel "Spa-like" and special. Bar prices and food good value. Bed was very comfortable.
Cons: Decor in bedroom was tired and bathroom was very dated too. Bedside lamps didn't work. Extremely loud music till about 11pm. Buffet breakfast was small so was constantly running out and having to be refreshed so by the time I got all my breakfast items most of it had gone cold from waiting for things to be refreshed and the toaster - only 1??? No vegetarian option for sausages or bacon.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location ideal for Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Warm friendly welcome and lovely clean bedroom. Bed is so comfortable. Well done to the housekeeping staff!!

7.5 Good

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely amazing hotel. We went to celebrate our engagement and was treated like royalty. My mother called before hand and arranged a bottle of champagne in the room the hotel then went above and beyond and upgraded our with also a plate of cakes that also had happy engagement. Amazing staff and beautiful rooms.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like.
4.6 Okay
Cons: Room was located above function room and was very noisy, got woken up by rowdy guests returning to room at 2.15 a.m. No alternative rooms were available that were less noisy, spoilt our Anniversary weekend. Have been trying to make a complaint via head office but unable to complete online form as it doesn't recognise our booking. Staff at site did not offer any redress/compensation. Hotel was well aware of the noise problem. Would have waited for a response from Holiday Inn before posting review but have now wasted several hours and have still been unable to make contact.

Pros: The staff were doing all they could to resolve a problem which was not of their making. Cheryl in particular went out of her way to make amends for the problems. Beds were very comfortable, bathroom was very nice!
Cons: There was an issue with housekeeping so we couldn't get to our room until 6pm. We were allocated a room which still had some finishing touches needed after the refurb, so a few small issues there. Smelled of paint, wardrobe hanging rail not fitted, kettle didn't work.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location is very good.... the newly refurbished room was fantastic clean comfortable and modern... that couldn’t have been better
Cons: Staff were a little miserable/stand offish...... we couldn’t check out the rest of the hotels facilities ie the pool and gym area as we arrived at 3pm for our 1 night stay and decided we’d use the pool the following day....... upon asking at reception before breakfast if we could use said facility after our check out at 11am we were told no not at all..... and this is something we aren’t used to as in other hotels we have been more than welcome to do so even after check out
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Located with very easy access to all roads, far away enough from the M1 that you’re not bombarded with traffic noise and yet close enough to make it easy to get to. The rooms (and I have stayed in 4 different rooms on different occasions) are not the most modern, but they’re clean and tidy, and always stocked every day with tea and biscuits.
