Pros: It was a very nice place ! The room we had was fantastic. The only problem would be the lack of hot water in the morning. Maybe they should get more water heaters for sections of the hotel !! The shuttle worked out well for us
Cons: No hot water in the morning
Pros: Friendly staff and homely setting. Quaint destination in winter.
Cons: We were a bit cold in bed. A thick blanket would have been the ideal.
Pros: Mattress was just right. The staff in hotel and restaurant were fantastic, they were extremely accommodating.
Cons: Would suggest a little supply of bottled water and snack for guests convenience to buy in the lobby.
Pros: Food was fantastic.
Cons: A glorified motel at a very inflated price. Fire pit outside was nice except when loud people were using it until 2:30am.
Pros: Bed was comfy and it was very clean
Cons: Faster service for dinner waited about 45 mins to get food
Pros: Although we had an issue upon arrival, the staff quickly and efficiently took care of the problem and resolved it to our satisfaction. The staff was very accommodating for another special request we had. Great location! Great restaurant! Would definitely return.
When you stay at Stickett Inn in Barryville, you'll be in the mountains, within a 5-minute walk of Brook House Gallery Incorporated and Eagle Institute. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and laundry facilities. Planning an event in Barryville? This guesthouse features 1000 square feet (93 square meters) of event facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The owners were warm and welcoming, the room was spacious and charming with vintage details and modern luxuries, a 5 minute walk to the water & local eateries.
Cons: The only issue we had wasn't with the Stickett Inn but with the noise level of the customers residing in the room above us. The place is an old house and that gives it its character, which we loved, but it did make for a difficult sleep when the other guests were noisy (like heavy footed walking, dropping things constantly and sounding like they were sliding things across the room) until after 1am. If you had to be awake early for work and sleep was a necessity AND you had noisy guests, this might be an issue. But this reflects in no way on the owners/business or staff, they were all lovely.
