10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely, clean hotel. Nice breakfast provided in room & some tasty treats. Handy fridge & microwave in room. Good location, near to the beach. Easy parking. Friendly host. Great experience.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location and the bedroom was massive, comfortable bed and the kitchenette was very useful.
Cons: Nothing, thought it was a fab b&b.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic guest house, room was really comfortable, big bed, clean, & tidy throughout, owners very friendly, everything you could have wanted for a continental breakfast plus a welcoming drink of wine & bottled water. Great value for money. Very close to beach & local shops/bars/eateries. Highly recommend this property & would certainly stay again.
Cons: We had to park in the road as the car park was full, although we did get a space right outside the front of the hotel. A taller wardrobe would have been better - there was one in the room but it's not tall enough for a lady's dress.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm welcome, Homely atmosphere, It was spotlessly clean, Complimentary breakfast every morning was lovely. Will definitely recommend and visit again
Cons: We didn't dislike anything. It was perfect
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent value for money and quality room which betters more expensive hotels. Very welcoming hosts.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was extremely comfortable. The towels were thick and fluffy. The quality and quantity of the continental breakfast was excellent and having a fridge in the room was very much appreciated as was the microwave. The welcome was warm and friendly. The hotel is situated just five minutes walk from the seafront which we enjoyed visiting, it is also a short walk from the town centre. In addition parking at the hotel was easily available.
Cons: Sorry, can't actually think of any negatives at this hotel!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and facilities
Cons: Could do with fried breakfast, but you have got the facilities to cook your own.

Pros: The bed was wonderfully comfortable.
Cons: There's nothing I can think of, except perhaps a small bin in the bathroom would have been useful.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was excellent as a value for money , cleañ pleasant place to stay .
Cons: I do not think it could have been better . It was not luxurious as you would pay a lot more for luxury but as plain good honest accomodation it was the best we experienced in 70+ years of travelling .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed here for 2 nights with my little boy and we were absolutely happy with our stay here. Room was very clean and refreshing, had our own ensuite and we had 2 night of such comfy rests and lovely breakfast in the morning. Area was quiet and nice also not a long walk to the beach. I would 100% recommend. Duncan was kind and such a great host, Thank you for making our stay great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully clean, wonderful host and fabulous breakfast.
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was lovely and 'clean' (not greasy!). Duncan is very accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable about the area and where / where not to go. The location was great for the 02 Academy and the beach. The room was spotless and airy. (We had the king size room on the top floor an despite the warm weather is remained cool.) Duncan run's the B&B in an environmentally friendly way, which we liked.
Cons: The centre of Boscombe is not very nice but this isn't something Duncan can do anything about.
7.0 Good
Pros: The set up of the family room was a real plus with a separate kids room that was still entirely secure.
Cons: The double bed wasn’t up to scratch - a new mattress is necessary.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing owner, always happy to help, great localisation 10min to beach and 5 to high steet i dont use car at all. I dont say nothing about breakfast because its out of any range (but if you want a score 1 to 10 its 14:). I will back there!!! Thanks
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly service from Duncan
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The deluxe family room was perfect for us, with the adjoining room for our son. The breakfast was nice especially the sausage. We had great communication from Duncan before our travels. The Westby is ideally located to beach and town with only a few minutes walk to both. On the whole was clean, tidy, light and airy.
Cons: Although the breakfast was nice, 8:30 was a little too late for us, as a family with a young child we are early risers. Could have had a little more cereal choice too. Although close to beach and town the street itself was quite busy and noisy, so in summer with the windows open not ideal(however in other rooms this may not have a been an issue)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything, it was pretty perfect.
Cons: Not many parking places and we didn’t know until we arrived at 2pm that we couldn’t check in till 4 ,and it was raining
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing atmosphere, very comfortable bed. Extremely clean. Very friendly host.
Cons: nothing

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely interior Very cosy Close to the beach and town centre Bedroom and breakfast room were both full of light and colours.
Cons: The neighbours.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room is very nice, clean and comfortable. If you're looking for a quite room, quiet place, a handful of people without any other facilities in the premise then this is a great place to spend a night.
Cons: It's like renting a room in someone's house. If this is your thing then it's great. No staff in the premise after 8pm. No cooked breakfast only choices of bread, cereal, etc. If you want to stay other facilities, e.g. 24hrs front desk, places to eat/drink in the premise, then this is not the place
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable, relaxed, welcoming, reasonable price. Lovely breakfast.
Cons: Sharp edges on the bed (a design fault). We both have shin scrapes as a result. That’s the only issue we had. Lovely well run place. Thank you :)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfasts. Brilliant selection of fresh fruit and niche yoghurts. OJ was decent (usually is very processed) and the tea was a good quality blend. The cooked range was terrific, some variation to the norm, but lots of new and interesting options. The overall food quality was superb for the price. The location overlooking the river was excellent. A great was to start a day.
Cons: The shower/bath was poor, in the sense that the water flow in my room was weak and I had to run around to get wet! Nogt a deal breaker, but a surprise disappointment given the excellence of the rest of the hotel facilities and the room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We have visited before and love the location and the rooms are beautiful
Cons: The hotel wouldn’t take a one night stay. Went through booking.com and booked the room but very expensive and I believed I had booked half board. Very disappointed to have had to pay far too much for a one night stay and won’t do it again

6.8 Good
Pros: Bedroom was a perfect size for what we needed, Not too big . Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was great. Breakfast was lovely. Air conditioning worked perfectly The theme of the hotel was very nice and different.
Cons: Parking was terrible. My car was always blocked in. Hallways was very dusty/cobwebs around the curtains . No reception area. Place looks like it needed a bit of work/modernising, front door paint all flaking off. Walls and ceilings in hallways have large cracks and was just painted over. In the room the wall paper was falling off above the bed.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Bed and pillows were very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and food great.
Cons: Nothing

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Quirky Boutique hotel with a selection of chocolate chips at the main entrance. Our room was comfortable and met our needs well for two nights. The staff were very accommodating & friendly. Breakfast was freshly made and the selection varied. Loved my poached eggs on wholemeal with extra mushrooms. Self service for tea, coffee and buffet suited us fine. The truffles left in a little bowl in the room were delicious. All in all a great little find that had the personal touch especially if you are a chocolate lover.
Cons: If you're a light sleeper request on booking a room facing the back of the hotel. You can hear the traffic if in a room facing the main road especially if you have the window open. A minor dislike for a night or two but nonetheless something to be aware of when booking.
5.5 Okay
Cons: Small bathroom needs u Updating shower needs looking at could not adjust the temperature constant noise from traffic

Pros: One of the best properties in UK - it’s beautifully landscaped . The spa was excellent and staff were great

Pros: Everything, absolutely fantastic all round
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bedroom was a spacious room, beautifully decorated and furnished. All staff friendly and welcoming. Spa facilities exceeded expectations. Great variety on the breakfast menu. Bar and lounge area lovely private seating areas.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Having to leave.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The spa is genuinely fantastic, the hydro pool is so wonderful, you could literally spend hours in there. The spa beds in the back part of the spa are to die for. The rooms are lovely, the newly refurbished ones are the best, try to get placed in one of these, they are far superior to the old style rooms even if they are less well located. The formal restaurant is better than the kitchen, but the cooking classes are brilliant, highly recommended.
Cons: There isn’t much not to like here. I guess it is expensive, but you know, you get what you pay for. It’s worth the money.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A truly beautiful hotel with excellent facilities
Cons: The buffet and service at breakfast was below expectation. Sadly the staff were preoccupied in preparing for a wedding and our requests for more coffee took far too long. The cold buffet was very minimal - I would have expected a better selection of fruits, nuts, seeds and a wider range of cereals, including gluten free options. Also the gluten free bread was a disappointment - it was clearly from a slice loaf.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Big room with good facilities. Tennis courts and 9-hole golf. Beautiful grounds. Excellent dinner in the Dining Room. Nice walk down to the sea.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely great in every respect! I am actually a very critical person in general. At least this is what my family and friends are telling me. But in Chewton Glen House every little detail is just perfect
Cons: Nothing! The best hotel I ever staid in
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The spa was great and the food and service first class
Cons: Room size and cost

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, breakfast was excellent
Cons: Slleeping at front quite noisy but it was festival wkend so more traffic and bins were being emptied at 5.30am
6.8 Good
Pros: Good location, friendly and helpful breakfast staff. Breakfast well cooked with excellent quality ingredients. Place was very clean rooms refreshed every day.
Cons: Expected more for price paid to be honest. I booked 3 rooms for 5 nights. Felt the property lacked 5* quality I had booked and expected because of the following: Difficulty Parking-driveway to get in and out of Noise from street kept us awake 2 nights late into the morning. Raised with owner but no empathy Poor quality towels small white ones which had seen better days Travel hairdryer, ok if you don’t have long/thick hair, raised with owner to see if he had a larger one but he didn’t but acknowledged the lack of power in the one provided. Had to buy one instead. No bottled water un room No bath in bath room despite their being enough room Felt man, possibly owner, lacked customer focus unlike the ladies who served breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. The room we stayed in was the economy room and it was perfect, big enough for the 2 of us, clean and the most comfortable bed. Lovely patio door leading into the garden, which I made use of, whilst hubby watched a film on the smart TV. He was able to log into Netflix and he was as happy as Larry! I walked into Christchurch town, which was a 2 minute walk and it was lovely. We only stayed 1 night, which was a shame as it was so nice. The breakfast was cooked to order and cooked to perfection. I could not fault anything about Druid House, loved it!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Small but very comfortable room. Modern and spotless and well positioned for walking into town restaurants etc.Good breakfast.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beds extremely comfortable and unusually, comfy pillows too. Impressive modern, light and spacious dining room. My husband commented that the full English breakfast rated the best he's ever had and it was a lovely surprise to find three different fish dishes on the menu. Much more to my liking. Spot on for location too. Druid House is in a quiet location but within easy reach of the high street with its amenities,. So no need to take the car for exploring Christchurch or for an evening out.
Cons: Liked everything there. No negatives.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms and communal areas are light, airy and very tastefully decorated. The breakfast was absolutely superb. We would definitely stay again.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, clean, friendly staff.
Cons: Room slightly too small for family.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Overall a pleasant stay for what we needed the hotel for. Wife had previously stayed there and has also booked for some future dates too. (Maybe she has a secret boyfriend!?) Anyway, very helpful staff, great location and easy to find and safe parking off road. Breakfast was fine in morning although limited window of 1 hour I think. Also, make sure you order the previous night if you want a cooked breakfast. I wasn't aware but it didn't matter as what was offered was more than enough and they will do eggs to order anyway. Plus continental is cheaper by a few quid. We did have a fan in the room which helped keep it cool during a few v hot days and nights. I would stay again which I think is the biggest deciding factor in reviews.
Cons: Nothing really. It was as expected, clean, good location with very helpful staff.
7.5 Good
Pros: Really clean and close to the city centre with friendly staff

Pros: The room was very clean and the staff really friendly. On our last day, altough the check out was at 10:30, they were kind enough to let us keep our parking spot until later in the day, when we were ready to leave. Also the hairdryer near the mirror was a nice little detail.

Cons: No problems at all..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were really welcoming, hard working and were great conversationalists.
Cons: The hill back from the beach, but that's only because I'm lazy and sun burnt from the exquisite weather we have enjoyed.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and welcoming staff
Cons: Due to the structure of house stairs quite noisy. Room adaquate size for a night but would be cramped for a number of nights.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about this place! Our host Rowan was great (and has cool hair), the hotel is very homey and authentic. Lots of personal style without being overbearing. Room was big and clean. We had the shared bathroom which I'm not usually a fan of, but the bathroom was very spacious and clean and the towels were enormous and comfy. Shared spaces (garden, lounge, TV room, breakfast area) were lovely and welcoming. The two cats are the sweetest and breakfast was very nice. Couldn't have been happier, would recommend and come back for sure! It's obviously an old building so if modern and brand new is your thing, this isn't your place, but we really enjoyed the historical features of the place. If you want authentic, welcoming, clean and inviting, you can't go wrong with staying at the strand hotel.

7.5 Good
Pros: Very close to the beach front and surrounding shops, perfectly located... stayed for 2 nights and room was cleaned whilst out. Didn’t see much staff but was easy to come and go as was given own key. Nothing special but good for a budget and had no problems with the stay... bed was comfy and shared facilities were always accessible and had other toilets etc should one be busy.
Cons: Was what was expected so had no problems, didn’t opt in for the breakfast so can’t comment on food but hotel did the job for what was required
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, just a few minutes walking from the beach and from the main street where all the shops are. It is in a very quiet zone and the breakfast was really good.
Cons: Pillows were too thin
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and comfortable, staff were very friendly
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We only stayed 1 night, and left at 04.30 the next morning. After we had registered and gone to our room, the Manager bought us biscuits, water, and a few sweets.
Cons: Nothing, the hotel was perfect for what we wanted.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Really great place, with attentive staff, lovely gazebo and garden to chill out in, clean, well apportioned bedrooms with everything you could ask for, and the most amazing cooked breakfast. I have had some unfortunate experiences recently with other hotels, which led me to bring with me, my own fan ( it was the hottest July day in history !!! ) and a 5 x gang extension plug, based on previous experience. Neither were necessary as this hotel provides everything you could possibly need.
Cons: Its not the hotels fault, but the area it is in, is not suited for families in the evenings. I ventured into the High Street of Boscombe, just around the corner, on a few nights, and was surprised at how many drunks and beggars were around. The latter hang around the ATM's and hassle you for cash as you are making a withdrawal. I'm a fit, 6ft 1, ex Policeman, so I was not phased by this, but I can imagine the number of drunken males in the street and beggars, could concern a family, or single, female, visitors.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and meet our needs.
Cons: Only issue we had was that the shower in the bathroom sometimes had low pressure
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A nice touch was the basket filled with assortment of towels and slippers. The quite and peaceful room overlooked the garden. The cooked breakfast was tasty and portions very generous.
Cons: I would have preferred ensuite, but as our room was next to the shared bathroom, this made it more convenient to get to.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Garden facilities and self serve breakfast. Microwave for use in evening
Cons: Nothing really-although the availability of an evening meal would have been nice ( even if just a very limited menu chosen in advance , say at breakfast?)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very friendly and welcoming staff. Would definitely go to the same hotel if I visit Bournemouth again. Very nice garden with a pool.
Cons: Nothing I didn’t like loved everything about it.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: - 10 mins walk to Boscombe Beach - hotel very clean - single room small but very cosy and light - large window - tasty and plentiful breakfast - friendly staff - lovely garden - quiet area - sink in the room - toilet outside which was a bit inconvenient but it was clearly stated in the description - plus it was just outside my room and it was always available when I needed to use it

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant and helpful staff and management who were especially eager to ensure my dietary needs were catered for. I booked a Deluxe Single and stayed in room 7 which is a small double, so not sure if I was upgraded, but the room was lovely and quiet on the side of the property. Although compact, it felt more spacious because of the high ceilings. Bed & pillows were very comfy, and I was impressed to see an iron and ironing board in the room. The breakfast was excellent, with gluten-free options. There is a good small supermarket a few minutes walk away, and the hotel is just a 15 min walk into the centre of Bournemouth. It's likely I shall visit the town again and I'd have no hesitation going back to the Balincourt Hotel.
Cons: My only complaint was that the WiFi was hopeless and I couldn't get a signal for more than a few minutes before it dropped out again. Gave up in the end.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Central location. Polite staff
Cons: I booked a sea view room for a special birthday going on the photos of the website. I didn't get this. Our view was on a service yard, roof tops with a tiny glimpse of the sea
6.8 Good
Pros: The location was perfect, 5 min from the beach! The staff were very helpful and very friendly. The dinner at the restaurant was good! The vue from the room was nice and it’s a quiet hotel.
Cons: Breakfast is very poor for a 4* hotel... a little buffet with warm juices, fruit salad without taste, and you have to choose a hot plate but never change. And if you like a coffee other than just filter coffee they charge for that. Not good value for a 4*, you shouldn’t take the breakfast here. Is like more an hostel breakfast... The room was big but very old, again for a 4* hotel is look very poor. Even the TV have a very little amount of channel... the room is cold ambiance... No facilities at all, no pool, no gym nothing... for a 4* is not good regard of the rest is poor... and I was surprising at the end when I have to pay for my newspaper! When I arrive they didn’t mention it was charged on the room and they offer me...again not good for a 4* hotel. Overall, the staff is very nice but the hotel need a refresh and don’t deserve 4* at all.

Pros: It was close to the seafront, the staff were really friendly and very attentive. The breakfast was lovely.
Cons: I thought it was a little over priced. Our sea-view room had a very small window, so we couldn’t sit together to look out to sea. We were in the roof and the rafters were very low, my husband hit his head a number of times. The bathroom was tiny... no space in the shower.

7.0 Good
Pros: Great location, generally high spec interiors and service, good spa and good restaurants. Loved the outside seating area and sofas, nice atmosphere - could be relaxed or formal
Cons: No air-conditioning in room and a window that didn’t open past a few inches - so very stuffy and hot even with fan provided which impacted our sleep A lot of the staff were friendly and good- however some of the waiter service in restaurant and bar wasn’t quite so four star- eg having to ask to have plates and glasses to be cleared away
5.8 Okay
Pros: I enjoyed the swimming pool, very nicely maintained, the sauna and steam room was upto the standard and the jacuzzi bath was good as well. The food was nice and reasonably price for this kind of resturants.
Cons: The room I got was unfortunately noisy, despite telling them at the check in that I was a light sleeper, the room given was right next to the car park and above the delivery enterance; could hear car park activity through the night, didn't get much sleep- I took it to the Manager, he was very nice and understanding but couldn't help me, although I was offer me some complimentary drinks etc.
