Pros: The breakfasts were delicious and fresh and hosts were very friendly!
Pros: The owner speaks English fluently and he is very helpful. He even helped me with a transfer back to Quebec City by giving me a lift. Just be aware that the property is close to Quebec City but you would need to figure it out to have a transfer between Quebec City and property if you don’t drive a car. You will need a car or a bicycle to travel around the island. It is NOT a small island. The breakfast was brilliant. It was obvious that the host spent a lot of time creating the wonderful and delicious breakfast - a great job!

Pros: It was the best accommodation during my Canada roadtrip. Marie-Andrea was a great, friendly and kind host, taking time to explain everything, giving good tips about what to do on the beautiful Ile d'Orleans! In fact, during the night I stayed there, I was the only guest in the house! At first, it was a bit scary but also exciting. The place has a great location with a view and backyard on the water, where you can walk along the river for hours. The house itself is just charming, very old with its own soul and history, and there is an art gallery and an antique store downstairs, which makes it even more magical. And on top of that, the breakfast prepared by Marie-Andrea was delicious! Thank you again and I will definitely come back!
Pros: Beautiful location, great breakfast
Cons: Very dated
Pros: Location was great! Loved the covered porch and the chairs on the waterfront. Breakfast was very good. The room was very clean
Cons: The room was a bit awkward to use. No lights next to the bed for reading. Had to walk to the far end of the bathroom to turn on the light in there No wifi
Pros: Location and river view. Patronne very kind.
Cons: Manager disappeared at four pm no info provided. No Wi-Fi or TV. No idea what to do if any sort of emergency or question
Pros: Breakfast fabulous, proximite of the water, excellent service
Cons: Very noisy, could hear everething from the other rooms
With a stay at Motel Île d'Orléans in Saint-Laurent-de-l'ile d'Orleans, you'll be 5.5 mi (8.9 km) from Montmorency Falls and 10.8 mi (17.4 km) from House of Our Ancestors. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and multilingual staff. Limited parking is available onsite.
Pros: The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean enough that I felt at ease to sleep in it. The beds were comfortable and they had many comforters if you like having more like I do.
Cons: But the bathroom looked clean at first glance but wasn’t the best. A few joints were blackened and there were spider webs on the ceiling. The fan was very weak and could NOT get rid of the steam when taking a shower. The whole bathroom was wet and sticky after a short shower and if you opened the door to let some of the steam out, the whole room gets sticky too obviously. The shower was always changing temperature. One second it’s warm, the next it’s boiling hot, one minute later it’s cold AF! I think the water kept changing every time someone else was using it too... not fun. The coffee maker (Keurig) was disgusting... I made a hot chocolate and it tasted like old plastic. I couldn’t drink more than one sip. The walls are paper. I could hear other people in their bathroom... and everyone getting up in the morning which is what woke my BF and I up. It is all not the biggest deal if you’re spending one night there but if you’re planning a longer stay, I’d go for a more recent hotel.
Pros: Nice island with very good tourism opportunities....
Cons: The door of the room and the bathroom did not close easely..... We told that to the receptonnist as we arrived, but nothing as been made during our location.
Pros: The location is very central and the receptionist was friendly.
Cons: The room was not clean. When we had to wipe up some water we spilled on the floor we realized that the dark floor was very dirty. When I tried to get into bed there was sand on the sheets. When I looked at the sheets it was obvious they had not been changed. The next day the beds were not changed or made. When I spoke to reception about this on check out she did give me a $35 credit for my dissatisfaction. The entire room was slanted towards the front of the motel, and there seemed to be an electrical short in one of the plugs.
Pros: Beautifully located.
Cons: Place is getting a bit old. Needs refreshment and is not well insulated.
Pros: Friendly reception, helpful and useful guide to local attractions and dining. Excellent for active folk and for pets. Very friendly.
Cons: The water system, faucets in our room had an odd way of turning on in either direction, shutting off tap was a balancing exercise. Cars race by, be careful walking in the morning.
Cons: Shower temperature fluctuations. Burn hazard.
Pros: Wonderful staff! Very helpful. The property is older, but is safe and has a family feel. I was traveling alone, and they were very helpful and warm!
Cons: There are stairs for two of the rooms, I had a large suitcase. This wasn’t a beg deal, but just to let you know. I will stay there next time...no in any room. Great price!
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was spotless.
