first appearances were good. After we stayed, my opinion definitely changed for the worse. Too expensive for the condition of the room.
The bed was broke down. The shower curtain rod was broken so it was falling out of the wall. Not the cleanest.
The room (King-Business) was very large. It was clean and comfortable. The closeness to Mall of America was a plus, 10 Minutes by car.
The breakfast was a bit lacking. Other than the usual waffle maker there was only white bread and a toaster for anything hot. There were 2 AC units because this was essentially a double room. The one on the the right was not cooling. Also the drains in the tub and lav were a bit slow. Both were brought to the attention of the front desk when we checked out.
Was not excited
I liked that the front desk guy was very nice.
I dislike that I did NOT get the room I paid for! And when switched rooms I still did NOT get it!
The price and customer service
Extremely poor customer service
They left my wife and I stranded at the airport for over an hour. Desk never told the driver. Hotel is ten minutes from the airport. Front desk staff not a people person. Do yourself a favor...never stay there.
it was just OK nothing really special.
Waited an hour for the airport shuttle for pick upoutside from the airport. Staff not very helpul.
Not enough staff/ limits on getting to airport
Just about everything. I won't stay there again.
Great for our last minute stay
I booked the super 8 20 minutes before we arrived. check in was easy and the staff were friendly. The bed was so comfy and the bathroom/shower was perfect for a quick rinse and to get ready in the morning.
We could only get a smoking room and the smell stayed on our clothes after our visit.
The location of the hotel from Ikea and The mall of America.
The room that was given to me was next to the elevator and whenever someone used it, it would make a sound which could be heard in the room which disturbed my sleep the whole night. Guests were smoking in the corridor and could smell it inside the room. Guests were washing clothes at night in the machine exactly opposite the room. We wanted to extend our stay in the hotel, instead we moved to another hotel. Staff was less bothered with the feedback given.
That it was pet friendly! The breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly.
The bed was too soft and actually felt like the mattress should be replaced :( It would be nice if the breakfast room could be left open other than at breakfast (with all the food, etc. put away of course), just so people have somewhere to sit and work or read, other than just their room.
Pay for what you get but overall decent
The hotel was very close to the Mall of America, the airport and has a cross walk over to the Taco Bell across the freeway which was great! My friend and I also really liked that there was a bus route that stops at the front of the hotel and took us right to the convention center in Minneapolis for our conference! Pretty decent continental breakfast and comfy pillows!
The room did not have a mini-fridge which did not help the fact that we had a fruit and veggie plate which went bad after a night or two. We were given the handicapped hotel room which was great for space but the shower handle did not stay put or hang high enough to use as a shower head. As well, the bathroom was not cleaned out very well and this room was right beside the freeway so every night my friend and I slept with ear plugs, which helped block out the sounds.
good location and price, but marred by bedbugs
Good location, gym on site, free breakfast, airport shuttle, friendly and courteous staff.
The room I was assigned had bedbugs. I saw one crawling across my bed after a blood meal. I thought it was something I brought in my luggage at first and crushed it, but in the morning, I woke up with 20-some bites over my arms and chest. Looking back at reviews, there have been bedbug problems since at least 2011.
