When you stay at Agunì Agriturismo & Locanda in Palizzi, you'll be in the historical district and 8 minutes by car from Aspromonte National Park. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Beautiful quiet place 15 min driving from Marina. We liked the views, enjoyed the food made by lady of the house Maria and explanations from the owner Mr Carmelo (hope I remember well the name:)....and also Palizzi wine was delicious.
Cons: Mattress of the beds - for us uncomfortable but it is just our personal judgment.
Pros: The site and buildings are really nice, there are numerous terraces and seating/sunbathing areas with deck chairs and tables. The Agriturismo offers a beautiful view and is conveniently located (10 minutes to the villages nearby). We also really liked the house wine - absolutely delicious!
Cons: We had a few difficulties with regard to communication, as none of the staff spoke any languages other than Italian, not even English basics (and we tried Spanish and French). The Agriturismo offers Wi-Fi, however the connection is incredibly slow, meaning that you have to do anything Internet related when you're down in the villages. Finally, the breakfast is okay but nothing spectacular and we expected a little more given it's not included in the price.
Pros: Great owners, great view, just perfect!
Pros: The view was amazing
Cons: - Staff seemed to be in a rush to leave for the evening and really rushed our dinner at the restaurant. - Dinner was quite expensive for a very basic pasta and then a piece of meat, which didn't really showcase the produces of the agriturismo. Dinner cost almost as much as the room - and we didn't have alcohol. I didn't even know what they produced until the next day when I happened to speak to the owner about the place and what they grow. It's a shame because it really would have made a difference to our stay. - Ants in the bedroom and problems with toilet flushing
Pros: super nice personnel, delicious food, nice apartment. Francesco even drew a personal map for us with which we could discover the area. We will go there again in case we go back to calabria.
Pros: Location: a great view from the property and good common areas. Staff were pleasant and helpful when we had a problem with a puncture. The bathroom of our room was fitted with disability aids (though getting a wheelchair into the room might have been a challenge).
Cons: Location: a torturous and windings road into the hills, that leads the GPS astray (though their road signs are good). Getting a puncture on the mountain road!! The room was much smaller than we'd anticipated; walls were very thin and we could hear someone snoring in the next room (as if it was in ours). No refrigerator in the room. Some shower and toilet fitting were broken. The evening meal and breakfast were OK, but that's about all.
Pros: A very cosy agriturismo with great views from the room and from the well kept common space. Lovely homecooked dinner and very interesting conversations about the region with the owner! Highly recommended.
Pros: The view is beautiful. Food was perfect, made of local products. We spent nice time talking with the staff. Everything perfect
Pros: The place is nice with beautiful view and new but for us it was a little bit hard to reach. We were drive car up there and we toughed we got lost. The staff was helpful, they made great meal in the evening for us.
Pros: This is an unmissable gem, in a wonderfully peaceful location. Luciano is one of the most gracious hosts you could hope for; his food, his recommendations, and above all his company made our stay truly special. We we most certainly return.
Pros: Luciano (the host) is living the life that everybody dream about when they retire. He created super nice and quit place in the hearth of nature with a wonderful view and he spend his time with different people, preparing the meals for them and we all together exchange our life experiences. He created piece of heaven in the mountains in Calabria. When I was travelling to his place I was looking at the architecture beside the roads and I saw a lot of different styles that I didn't like too much and I told my wife that this host looks really different because of his approach to create some really pleasant piece of heaven that is so well integrated into the nature. Of course, large area property helps, but he created really beautiful spots with wonderful view to the sea and Sicily where you can enjoy resting in big chairs. His stone house is completely restored using traditional old methods and whole house is filled with beautiful art pieces from the Calabria, Sicily and other regions and each piece is telling its story. Luciano is man of big life experience and has a lot of interesting stories to tell and he prepared us a great meal with his own stuff from the garden and from the near villages. If you want to rest and enjoy in the nature this is perfect for you.
Cons: We didn't be lucky with the weather but you can not influence this. We can just imagine how it is beautiful during the Summer.
Pros: Luciano, the owner, was very helpful and enthusiastic to tell us about, and even show us once, the sights and interest points around the lodge. And the views from just outside the room are even more spectacular than on the website.
Cons: There was no internet access. Although for some people that may be a plus to truly get away from it all and depend on the locals for what to check out.
Pros: The lovely home cooked evening meals made from organic ingredients form the owners garden.
Pros: Very nice view, nice host, good food, true hospitality
Cons: The optional dinner was more expensive than expected
Pros: Luciano is an absolutely charming host. He provides a unique authentic Calabrian experience, providing wonderful simple meals made from fresh local produce ....every ingredient has a story. His very out of the way and picturesque location gives you a taste of the real Calabria. It is impossible not to love this experience.
Pros: The location is fantastic, the house is a true part of the countryside. The owner, or rather creator, Luciano, is a fount of all knowledge about the area, its customs and culture, and has plenty of tips and advice on places to see - some not even on the map. Luciano is also a great cook and fine host. The Rocca del Vento is not a "normal" B&B - in the best possible way.
Pros: We loved...The breathtaking view, the excellent food, the beautiful room, the comfortable bed, the super nice company, ... the owners truly care about the region, you as a guest and the food they produce and eat.
Cons: Nothing really...

Pros: Very friendly host, extremely good breakfast. Delicious dinner also available in place. The whole area is enchanting and free of tourists!
Cons: No air-condition
Pros: Fantastic view and people.
Pros: Delicious, homemade food for breakfast and dinner. A large terrace with a great view on the mountains. Very kind and helpful owners.
Cons: Some kitchen utensils for personal use would be useful.
Pros: Our host cooked dinner for us from homemade products, which was excellent. Breakfast on the terrace was also great.
Pros: Nice food & homemade wine, nice location, nice people owing the establishment, room was clean
Cons: No wifi, no fruits offered or any refreshments as we came tired and sweaty and we were the only guests,
Pros: The owners tried very hard to make our stay as perfect as possible. The location is a bit remote but still very nice and the value for money is second to none! Breakfast was awesome!
Cons: It was very cold and there is no heating. The curtains in our room weren't wide enough to cover the whole window. We ate dinner there and found it delicious but a bit overpriced, especially for the kids.
Pros: Everything was great, the villa has comfortable rooms and a nice patio overlooking the riverbed. Everything necessary is provided. The host is very kind and made sure things were in place. Awesome breakfast, too!
Cons: The bathroom is in common, having a private one would be great, but that's how the place is built. In any case it's very spacious and comfortable.

Pros: Great view from balcony. Hotel has a private beach right in front of the hotel. The food in the restaurant was great and the staff was super.
Pros: We were treated to two excellent meals. The staff were welcoming and helpful.
Cons: No hot water
Pros: The hotel is right on the beach, breakfast was lovely, and the owner was very friendly and helpful. The building is round so the rooms are wedge shaped with huge balconies and great sea views.
Cons: Starting to feel a little tired around the edges.
Pros: The welcoming management, relaxed atmosphere, location and breakfast.
Pros: Great hosts. Room balcony overlooking the beach. Maurizio is a very good cook so use the restaurant.
Cons: GPS has trouble finding the address. You must use a tunnel under the railway line to the toad on the beachfront
Pros: Nice Host. Hotel with own beach
Pros: + on the beach + perfect view
Cons: - small shower
Pros: The owner is fantastic. Ultra helpful and generous. Everything was in perfect working order
Pros: The owner was very kind and looking after us. Close to the beach. Friendly people.
Cons: Breakfast was a bit boring to have the same for few days and there were no other options. Evening the gates are closed, you can’t enter or exit during the night.
