The spacious comfort of the room, with its separate toilet from the bathroom. It was difficult to make the coffee maker work as I didn't know about the on/off switch at the back of the machine. It would be helpful if that information could be added to the instruction booklet.
The staff and the type of room. In spite of my request there was no glutenfree breakfast
Everything - the room was fine, staff were all very helpful, friendly and courteous, the breakfast was excellent. The only minor fault was that there was no alarm clock provided in the room, although this was listed in the hotel's information details for the room.
Kindness of the staff, the size of the room and the bathroom - very modern and enjoyable. The minibar is cheaper comparing to other 5star hotel The standard breakfast is poor - It costs 25 euros and you only get miniature croissants and bread plus the hot chocolate was only made up of water
You don't even get the second foot in the door before you're greeted by friendly and welcoming staff waiting to attend to your every need. The breakfast (if you choose to have it included) is a fresh, healthy and great quality variety also with impeccable service and choices. The rooms are adequately sized and the beds and pillows are quite plush. There are slippers and robes for your added comfort and the tea selection in the room is great. The bathrooms are fully equipped and have a very modern and Chiq decor. Room service was a bit costly (as it is with most hotels) but this was because while the quality of the food was great and fresh, I really didn't enjoy the flavor. It is conveniently located between the trams and close to the Brussels midi station. Also, on Rue Louise there are all the major high end brands for clothing, jewelry, shoes and perfume, there are chocolatiers and other typically European magazines. Once you head out the revolving doors of Rue du Châtelain, and turn right, you will see that there are many cafés, bars, bistros, and magazines (shops) along the way. The cuisine is mainly, Italian, French and English, and there are Asian restaurants and a conveniently located liquor store to get your Belgian beer. There's also a food store further down. In the opposite direction, about a 30 min stroll away, there is the European Parliament, and the Grande Place that hosts many of the museums, a must see is the Music Museum, and a must have is the Belgian chips/fries and waffles. Hopefully this helps! The dinner I ordered in room service was not a good taste for me.
Excellent staff, nicely presented, food excellent
Booked it for guests, which seemed very pleased with the quality of the hotel compared to 4-star hotels which we usually rent for them. The only marginally negative thing is not to underestimate it's closeness to Louisa/Louize. It's about 20 minutes walking which isn't pleasant during rainy days and the tramline on the street is incredibly hectic.
beds were comfortable, staff weer helpful and food was good the airconditioning did not work on any of the 7 days we were at the hotel, it was stifflingly hot, bathroom wasn't ventilated, we asked 3 times if anything could be done
The very helpful staff, the cleanliness, the size of our room, and the general ambience of the hotel I think that the breakfast was too expensive for a cold meal. Also there was no variety we spent 10 days with the same choice of 2 different cheeses and 3 cold meats. Also we had to pay for the coffee taken in our room.
Space of the room plus bathroom facility, free internet connection by reception desk, helpful staff plus the facts that they remembered my previous stay and ensured same quality of room was provided to me
Its convenience to the city centre and nearby shopping streets as well proximity of transportation. They do not have a lobby its more of a waiting area
Location The front edge of our wash basin was covered in duct tape as a whole chunk of marble had somehow broken off. Very unhygienic. We were moved to a "business" room for the 2nd night. The check-in took ages, partly because - we were told - we'd booked through an agent on line. The reception desk was woefully slow and undermanned. There was no concierge to help with taxis etc. A 5star hotel surely would have better public services & facilities. The decor was oppressive with extraordinarily low ceilings. The general impression was that the hotel had aspirations above its station! PS I haven't seen the guest reviews about this hotel.
Rooms were nicely decorated Found our shower didn't work in the first room. We were then transfered and the second room had a door with a faulty lock, no security chain and a safe that didn't work. Also no shower curtain.
Very helpul staff when there were no taxis available!
The hotel is in a very good location, many institutions are just around the corner; it has it's own style, staff rather helpful However, bathrooms and rooms needs some. restoration and cleaning; overall, everything is a little bit outdated
Very comfortable beds, good sized rooms tastefully furnished and could not hear the lift. We opted not to have breakfast at 27 Euro per person as we felt this was somewhat over the top.
Price for week-end. Confortable room. It would be better rated Little bit old and too dark. It would be better rated 4 stars instead of 5
At least one hotelbar which is not empty after 10pm ! Super ambiance
your customer service About the taxi men , When they drive from the hotel to the air port?
Staff was nice and helped me out quickly to solve problems with the TV. there is a little too much wear and tear considering what I paid for my room. Location is not the best either.
It is definetly not a quality star hotel. The restaurant is not open during sundays and holidays. A lot of malfunctions with the 2 elevators and the room was done always after 2. Maybe it was a qualiy hotel before, but now not really...
room was very big ,location
Nothing First room I was given (101) was cavernous with threadbare carpets and peeling wallpaper. The windows had no security locks (first floor). It felt dirty even if it wasn't. The second room (314) was nowhere near as good as the regular 2* I stay in, although the hotel was billed as 4*. The business centre appeared to comprise a computer which wasn't working. There was no room service. There was inadequate room information (no details of where the buffet breakfast was; the TV channels were out of date - BBC1 was supposed to be channel 131 but was instead channel 53). The remote control didn't work. It was difficult getting in & out of the shower since the door couldn't open fully because the toilet was too close. The regular price for the room was a staggering Euro 200 per night - although I had to pay Euro 400 per night because Brussels was so booked up. My regular 2* is Euro 90 per night. I met someone the following day who had stayed at the same hotel a while back and agreed it was very poor.
Definitely the breakfast! Outstanding scrambled eggs. The elevator is scary! And it's really cheap to set plastic glasses on the bed rather than in bathroom! Definitely not up to a 4 star rating!
The Breakfast was great, the staff very helpfull, rooms large. Our bathroom was quite small, however our friends had a huge bathroom with a bath, so we were just unlucky for us. Television did not work properly but we did not complain so to be fair they may have been able to fix.
gd service nice people at the reception.....everything perfect no....everything ok.
preparedness of the staff to solve all unexpected problems (i.e. concerning the belated payment from the agency) with the guest, rich breakfast offerings breakdown of the internet application was not fixed, not even within a week; no attainable wider map of Brussels
Large room, quiet surroundings, closeness to tramstation.
Poor sound isolation of rooms
They upgraded me to a very nice room with a huge bed and bath. The front desk staff acted like we were a bother.Hotel was not within walking distance of sightseeing.
Desappointed Bad value for this price
I thought the hotel was very nice, it was comfortable, cleaned every day and the breakfast was lovely.
Convenient, pleasant No dinner or bar facility in teh evenings. No room mini-bar.
Pleasant, quiet and comfortable room. Very limited choice for buffet breakfast.
comfort, value of money cleanliness of the room
Relatively low cost by Brussels standards, close to Louise commercial area and with bus connection to European Institutions area. has underground parking but not for high vehicles. Friendly helpful staff.
In house parking. Squeaking doors - when the room maid opened the door of the next room, it was as loud as if it'd benn in my room. (Need to put some WD40 on the door hinges.)
The guests liked the quietness, the rooms were clean. Just 1 lift serving all floors.
breakfast all good
-safe, but dirty indoor parking available -friendly but lazy hotel staff ( I had to wait 10 minutes until they opened the car parking gate)
The hotel was quite shabby. I was expecting a boutique design hotel and instead it felt more like a monochrome ibis.
Designed, almost too designed, hotel going in white. Very good beds. A bit lazy service. Rooms a little bit worn down. Not really modern facilities (heating, windows etc). Non-free wireless internet.
Good location, nice concept, fantastic free internet in the lobby very limited service at night (drinks etc.)
The general cleanliness and it is a no fuss hotel, excellent for business travelling Breakfast a bit scanty, a little bit of variety would definitely help
location & wirless internet access selection of TV channles is poor. No english news channle.
size rooms breakfast
the art in the rooms
we liked good sleep and good breakfast breakfast and food replenishment was poor
Easily traceble and well connected to Bus and Tram NA
My only problem staying at this hotel was problems with the internet connection. It didnt work in my room.
good location noisy street outside
Quite simply the cost Very Dated
Great find! Great location, close to public transportation and grocery stores. Very convenient.
Comfortable, simple room at reasonable price. All the right conveniences for a few days stay, internet, microwave, fridge etc. some rooms can get a lot of noise from the street
The location was good and the facilities were as advertised. The "secure" parking was anything but. The entry door was broken and open all the time. The garage has empty beer cans and othern rubbish strewn around. Looked like somebody was sleeping rough.
the kitchen The hotel reception was closed in the weekennd when I arrived and nothing was said about that. I stay 2 hours waiting someone to receive me.
Studio hotel, good for short stays. Excellent price/value. Tram ride from Metro station
Clean. Convenient location No services whatsoever (self catering). very limited reception hours.
