Cons:venice airport location very confusing, no clear directions, going up and down tight elevaators, and being redirected to two buildings one for check in and the other one for returning without assistance? Different than advertisedPros:That I could call someoneCons:That there were surprises. I rented certain cars and the difference of what I actually got was so much people had to sit on each other’s lap and hold luggage for almost two hours. This is after I called to make sure I was getting the vehicles we needed. I was renting for a trip in a foreign country and it was very frustrating. I was also told when I called that I needed to pay for someone to stay after hours for pick up. When I arrived they told me that I didn’t need to do that. (That may be with the rental car place) but it was a waste of money. I didn’t like my experience ordering the cars as I had to order twice instead of once when getting two vehicles. That was inconvenient and confusing because it was not obvious when making the order.Reviewed Nov 11 2017

Will try to avoid Avid/Budget hence forth.Pros:The car was fine/no problems there. It was clean and the rental rate was excellent.Cons:At the time I made the reservation, I purchased the rental coverage offered by Allianz Travel Insurance through Kayak. The agent first told me there was a 3500 euro deductible that could be eliminated for a 35 euro per day charge. When I declined that he offered a 700 euro deductible at a cost of 5 euro per day. I declined that as well explaining I had pre-purchased coverage. Were I not the type of person who reads, I might have been talked in to paying this fee for useless coverage. I will allow that the agent might not have been aware of the Allianz coverage because I did purchase it through Kayak, but that is an issue with Budget and their training, not mine.Reviewed May 19 2017
