Nothing To start off, when my partner and I arrived at the Burlington Inn (motel) I was told by the male receptionist that they were overbooked after I had booked a room with them through Kayak five hours before arriving. He said he called me to let me know but there was no record of this and most likely he was just covering his end. He said he could give me a room that was already technically booked because he didn't think the people would show up. I accepted because we had been driving for 20 hours, it was 1am, and I just wanted a place to stay. When we got into the room, it was absolutely horrifying. There were bugs (both dead and alive) ALL over the floor. I have photos to prove this, although this site doesn't allow me to upload any pictures. In addition, the toilet was clogged and the shower was leaking. It was like something out of a horror movie.. I would have taken the Bates Motel over this. Although, while the room was deplorable, it doesn't even come close to how disgusting and vile the receptionist was towards us. He told us we could get our money back and when we called the booking agent they said he refused to refund us. When we went to confront him to ask why he wouldn't give us our money back, he was incredibly disrespectful and refused to cooperate. He provided horrible customer service and only cared about making an extra buck, even though it meant screwing over two young people. However, there was a silver lining. We received our money back in full through the site and future credit for the traumatic experience. Please stay away from this place at all costs!
