Service is good, crew are friendly and it's near to the best shopping mall: City Star...five minutes drive. fitness center is very small and locked in a very small room.
the internet presentation of the hotel is misleading showing a swimming pool that is currently, in actual fact, a total construction site. no exterior space whatsoever poor hygiene in rooms, rude duty manager, poor breakfast, noisy weddings every day till 01:30, very poor bathroom facilities with knobs falling off
Short night,it was easy to go the airport early.
Extremely gracious staff. Beautiful hotel. The price of liquor. Too high!
Location proximity to the airport as well as the city downtown, room is clean Hotel is kinda old, had to pay for parking a car!! Tv is small and not even LCD, airport pick up is not available for Egyptians only!! So I think the staff isnt the best around
Hospitality of the staff.
really nothing special to be a 5 star hotel, price/quality too high value. Bathroom not very clean.
The proximity to airport. Quiet area. Close to modern areas like City Stars Mall, and the main highways. Also near brand name shopping outlets. Though they arrange free bus every hour to airport. They do not have free bus transport FROm airport. And the hotel representative office at airport is closed for long time when I arrived to airport from overseas. And no one, even Airport Information could not give me any schedule info about the hotels bus shuttle, nor the time the office opening hours.
I really liked the location of the hotel. It is about 15 min from Cairo Airport which is very convenient for those who wish to make a stop at Cairo yet they don't wish to be either in the vicinity of a busy and noisy airport, nor they wish to go to a hotel in the far away downtown. Also the area around the hotel is quiet. Many resturants of various tastes are within the hotel premises. Inforcing security measures (car search using canine unit, and X-ray baggage check) before entering the hotel premises provided assurance to safety. I did not like the fact that I was quoted a room price in US $, and that price was written on my room key cover (which was a good practice by the way to show transparency for guests), and yet on check out I was asked to pay in Euro (e.g., check-in US$ 130, check-out EU 130). And I signed the credit card bill without realizing that I was authorizing the hotel to withdraw 130 euro instead of 130 US dollars. That was really bad, but definitely does not affect my judgment towards the hotel facilities, because it might have been a mistake or at least I can blame it on an individual behavior.
The luxurious atmosphere in the hotel They charge extra money for the use of health club and the internet connection is extremely high
The kindness of the staff, who was very helpful, and also the area (very leafy and relaxing for Cairo). When I complained about the cleanliness of the restroom in my room, they sent a basket of fruits (but they didn't clean the restroom more adequately). The cleanliness of the restroom and, more generally, the relatively soiled condition of the furniture in the bedroom.
location only cleaning, room materials are poor
Selection of different restaurants in the hotel
pleasant atmosphere, great Indian food
The hospitality of the staff, the selections of resturants at such a small hotel, with only 60 plus rooms, last week was the 8th time I have stayed at this hotel since June 2010. The fact that as such a small hotel ,the resturants at this hotel are very good. there is an Indian resturant, with true northern Indian food, also a Chinese resturant, with true chinese food, an Arabic resturant on the roof, with shisha smokers, and all the types of Arab foods, and an International resturant, all these resturants are very reasonably priced,$10 for a grilled steak, and the Indian resturant $20 per person, for a good meal, of Samosas, Tandoori Marsala Chicken, mixed rice with vegertables, beer & tea, likewise in the Chinese resturant, all good value for money, lets only hope that prices do not rise too much in the future, over the last 4 months the room rates have risen over 30 %, not fully due to the Dollers decline
The hotel is quite a distance from the centre of Cairo. However, from experience of staying in the centre of Cairo on other trips, the air is much cleaner to breathe and there is a lot less traffic noise at night which makes for a better sleep. They also have a really good rooftop bar/resturant so you can enjoy the evening weather. Make sure you have the address of the hotel written down because it is in a residential street and a lot of taxi drivers have not heard of it.
Good location for the city. Staff at the hotel were very slow. Did not speak English very good. Although breakfast included, it was very little. Altogether, I would not stay at the Karvin hotel again
The Restaurants & foods great. The Internet (Broadband ) was not as assured.
The hotel room was nice, the service was great, they even put together a breakfast box for my husband and I as we had to leave early morning. The location. It's ok if you want to keep close to the airport which is why we chose it. But otherwise is quite difficult to find (not many taxi driovers new the location) and its located in a residential road basically in the middle of no where!
The staff were good and helpful also the garden resturant was very good and the Shisha was also good and clean. They told me the booking was not confirmed and waited for the manager to solve the issue due to there was no rooms.
Difficult to find !!
