Convenient location ( off the 101, as we were headed to Lompoc) and friendly staff. Overall ok hotel for what we needed. Somewhat run down and the rooms are very small! Only one queen bed in most rooms and we needed up having to get a third room ( we had planned to stay 2 adults and 2 kids in one room, which is not possible) But my request for another room was accommodated and the front desk girl gave me a matches rate for the room for the night, which was appreciated.
no toilet paper on bathroom. no room service .
The hotel room was very clean. The staff were all helpful and courteous The price was great I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Hope to stay there again Thank you
good location Heater very noisy stopper in tub didn't work well
For a sparse room it offered a quiet night sleep. Lack of printed news material; LA Times, USA Today.
The friendly staff from the front desk to the cleaning staff. N/A
The location. It was clean. False advertising about "Free Wifi". It was only free for 24 hours for 2 devices and then you had to pay. Uncomfortable beds. Not a great experience with the staff. Called to get an early check in, was told it would be no problem by 2 different people. We still had to wait.
1.) The parking lot is a bit cramped. I drive a compact, and it was still difficult backing out without hitting a car on the other side of the aisle. 2.) The carpet cleaners were scheduled to come in during my stay, but I was not told about this at time of booking. And this was despite the fact that the carpets were fine! I should have been informed about the planned cleaning beforehand, because it was a part of what I was buying.
Overall clean safe and friendly
the staff on some days was really nice & very accomodating but not on a regular basis I found a roll of toilet paper on the corner of my bed & also a soap rapper there was some concern in my mind if they replaced the sheets/towels or simply fixed them since they had a bit of a smell to them.
Good value for the money. Nice neighborhood near a supermarket, fast food, gas and several eating establishments. Free parking. Would have been nice to have a microwave in the room, but you can use the one in the hotel lobby if needed.
The location which seemes very safe and quiet. Then top comforter sheet was rough. The carpet is very dirty. Towels where rough. There were 5 gnats in the sink when we arrived.
The bed and the jacuzzi No ice bucket
Hotel was pretty quiet. Free parking and internet. Room had DirecTV and lots of channels. Room also had microwave and small fridge, coffeemaker and hair dryer. Pretty big room with small dining table and two chairs, also small couch chair and desk with office chair. Sink and dressing table separate from toilet and shower/tub. Premises has vending machines and ice and laundry room. Staff was friendly and competent. Complimentary coffee in breakfast room. Didn't dislike anything.
Free parking. Free internet. Room was clean. Smell good. Microwave and fridge.
they do not have king bed when I did reservat
Convienient to med facility Nothing
it was clean. pool was nice. quiet location
Good location, nice kind size bed, clean.
We very much enjoyed the swimming pool and being able to sit around it with our family. The noise coming from the traffic on Ventura and the freeway behind the motel.
Breakfast was minimal and area was much too small.
good location if you have a car, comfortable and large rooms breakfast should be better
Its clean and located near the freeway... Continental breakfast was not very good...apples and oranges for fruit only? Muffins were tiny. One bite size. Thank God there's a Dennys next store.Would recommend but....
They had nice furniture and kept the room clean also it was very close to the freeway witch made it easy. The bed was the only thing that could use major improvement. It was way too firm and it was hard to sleep and relax on it.
Very clean and good value for money. Staff very helpful.
Even though I had requested a quiet room, the room we were first offered was right next to the ice machine. The second room we were offered had a bad smell, but the third room was relatively quiet and functional. The location, which is right between Ventura Boulevard - a very busy street - and Highway 101 - also a very busy highway.
It was close to the freeway and to every main attraction.
I stayed at the motel at nights, since I was very busy travelling around the area for business
close to santa monica beach room old, bathroom not in perfect state. price too high compared with comfort and services
The only thing I liked about your motel was the staff. They were very helpfull and understanding. I did not like my stay at Santa Monica Motel. We got a dirty room and I got fleabites from sleeping in the bed in my room. I had to go to the doctor when I came home.
Fair price, helpful staff on main road so very noisy,no coffee making facilities
It had free parking and was near the beach. Stains on windows and crusty curtains. Bit basic and old wash facilities.
That it was near to the beach & it has free wifi. I didn't feel particularly secure as a single female. The bathroom could do with a lick of paint. I have stayed in nicer, cleaner places for less in Santa Monica.
It is very close to the Pier, easy on and off Freeways. but very quiet, Clean and roomy. Absolutely Perfect for our needs It was Perfect
Loved that my room overlooked PCH. Loved that the motel was across the street from a live music venue/bar, and close to convince stores. I also melted into the comfy bed.
The position, the bus to the Lax Airport. Safety location, close to Santa Monica Pier (10 minutes walk)
It was fairly close to the beach, in a not terrible area. This motel looked like it had been through a hurricane. Holes in the walls, curtains that didn't fit the windows.dirty floors.
Was a place to sleep I was charged two times.
Overpriced. Pictures don't reflect the rooms. It's definitely false advertisement
Everything was great... The size, the bathroom, the noise was non-existent, a fridge and microwave.. The check out time is NOT noon as stated on the bill, email, receipt, etc. It is 11am. I even asked when I got there to make sure and was told even by staff that check out is noon. I was out most of the night with my girlfriend and got back around 3am, went to sleep at 4am. I woke up to a phone call from staff at 10:45am that 11am is check out. I checked the receipt and told him it's clearly printed that it's noon. He said "no" that the maids need time to clean the rooms and check out time is always 11am. This is the same guy that when my girlfriend arrived to the hotel before me refused to let her check in (despite both our names were a part of the guests and later got resolved by the next guy's shift. (She sat in her car waiting and the next employee was happy to let her check in and doesn't know why the previous guy didn't.) This is the only experience that I'm really pissed at is that I paid for a given time and that it was abruptly changed without warning. (And through no fault of my own).
Just an ordinary motel - nothing bad but nothing extraordinary good as well. A quiet place and clean bed to sleep - just what I needed. A coffee machine is a pleasant bonus ) Despite the fact that it was the cheapest motel in North Hollywood I could find it's still overpriced - like all accomodation in LA. Wi-fi signal isn't so good.
Neat and spacious room. Parking space was not clean.
Clean and spacious room. Good value for money. Breakfast area was small and options limited.
No ice or vending machines.
We adored the service. We were given a choice of two rooms. The staff was absolutely accommodating and kind. They made us feel as if we were at a bed and breakfast. The courtyard was charming and the bed/room was comfortable. The shower head lacked pressure; other than that, everything else was perfect for the price!
Location to work. No
Family ran Stained sheets. Long black hair on bed
Cleaning room well decorated No A/C shower needed to be cleaned better from prior ocupants better sealing from external elements.
The motel is fairly close to the pier, fast food, and a great pizza place. We arrived at 10pm, rang the bell, and a 13 year old kid came to the window and checked me in. I was surprised, but he explained everything really well, and parking was easy. The beds were loud getting in and out, but we slept fine.
The room had no fan or air conditioning. The quality of the curtains were below standard and made the room feel very shabby. The chair provide to sit on was a metal folding chair. The bed extremely soft in the middle and squeaked when you moved in it.
Location and price.
Internet worked perfectly. Location is very close to Santa Monica and Venice. Close to the street, but not too loud. Had two beds, but not table for the laptop. But would book this hotel again.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Nothing in particular This hotel was just average and the rooms were a lot older and needed paint and the decorations and so forth were minimal… But the manager was amazingly rude… I would sincerely not recommend this hotel to anyone unless they feel like being ins
Bed was comfy but squeaked every time you moved
This was not a fancy but a very clean motel which was situated in a good location for our trip. A very good value for the price. Well maintained and clean.
This place was so outdated and unlean..ants in the bathroom, bugs and mosquitoes inside because Windows wouldn't shut. The towels under your dirty microwave is just gross. Breakfast included is jet fuel coffee and day old muffins. I didn't personally book this, but i would not recommend to anyone who is wanting to sleep, stay clean, or enjoy their visit to woodland hills.
The location . The roaches on the walls. The bed bug bites I woke up to . The bed bug I actually FOUND !
Staff was friendly, and the price was very reasonable. When I checked in, everything was a little hectic. And there were frightening noises throughout the night. Not that I felt I was in danger, but I didn't feel particularly safe either.
Clean rooms. Quiet after 10pm. Security gate Not much to walk to but not a deal breaker.
That the property is gaurded by gate Location isnt the safest 1 price was to high for a outdated motel
Next to the freeway, decent price, and there is free HBO. There was one staff member that my friends and I felt very comfortable around. He tried to start a conversation with us about where we're from just to end it with that where we are from are where a lot of "weirdos" are. Maybe he was trying to be funny but we felt like he was making us feel inferior. We asked for a refund on the WiFi (BTW It does not work!!!) and we had to go in and out of room three times to finally give him everything he needed to finally refund us and also after he has helped everyone else. Definitely need to have A LOT of patience with him. The other staff members were more helpful, quick, and efficient.
The price. Clean overall. WiFi isn't free. Little gnats were present in the room. Shower head is too low, and the water pressure isn't great.
My stay was overall good A little old fashion and sheets had cigarette burns on themn
It was close to where I needed to go to. There were shops around for food and such. Not too far from the freeway. The name was not Starlight Inn. It was Roadway Inn. The address on the website is not correct either. .There was no tissue for blowing your nose. I have never been to another hotel or motel that used a flat sheet for a fitted sheet on the mattress. Also if I'm going to be paying with a credit card please don't ask me to pay in cash.
Allowed us to check in early Wifi didn't work in our room, had to sit in the car park. very expensive and there was a lot of homeless people living outside our window and the curtain wouldn't close fully
When we walked in the hotel room it looked like a murder scene.. Blood on the walls, the tub was black, hole in the walls, 2 inches of dust around the walls, it looked like someone took a screwdriver and made holes all over the ceiling, pubic hairs in the beds.. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!! Health hazard.. the hotel should be shut down and remodeled.
The pleasant surprise of the look of the room. Very spacious and cozy feel. A lot of wood furnishings, hot and cold water on demand. I've stayed athere fancier more expensive places where the hour water takes a very long time. The matters was way too firm!
Price. Appears to have had some recent renovation. Neighborhood/location. Available parking marginal. No breakfast (but coffee available).
The room looked well kept and clean. I loved the laminate flooring, easy to keep clean and doesn't hold smells like carpet. It looks a little sketchy on the outside but inside feels clean, safe and cozy. My party spent the day at Six Flags and this was about a 25 minute drive. Then we headed to Santa Monica. A nice central location. Flexible check-in and out times. We called and said we'd be arriving late and they accommodated us. Only turn off was it was across the street from a strip club but not that big a deal to my party, might be for some though. I did not notice any sketchy or scandalous characters rooming around or anything so that's good. Also The parking lot was full and dirty but also not that big a deal to me as long as the room is clean and it was.
Beds, floor It was very suspicious there, police arresting someone out side our door in the other parking lot. Got a weird vibe, we did not safe there. Staff was not very friendly. We got a refund on 2 out of 3 nights because kids feel asleep on bed while we called for another hotel. Graffiti on the front and bathroom doors. Cheaper doesn't mean better. Never go there.
The only saving grace was the fact that it was a 10 minute drive from universal studios. The beds were covered in hair, as well as the pillows. There were carvings in the headboard. The a/c unit was not working. There was a part of the floor that was sunken in near the restroom-this was a second floor room. The main room mirror had scribbles with sharpie on it. It appeared that the bathroom mirror had spray paint on it. There were blood spots on the bathroom floor, and a large one in the bathtub itself. The walls in the bathroom were also grimy. When he informed the front desk, all we got was "Sorry.".
The location was the best part about it because it's near no much The service was horrible, rude counter, it took 4 hrs to fix my tv!! Wasted vacation time
Nearness to Santa Monica. We drove up from San Diego and stayed in North Hills so we could be in Santa Monica early the next morning. It worked out pretty well. There is a Starbucks a quarter mile north on Sepulveda and just off the 405. Ample parking. Good shower with soap and shampoo. Can't think of anything
