Great ambience, $6mil upgrade really showed hotel's quality & efforts to be hotel of choice in Calabasas. $10 parking fee No breakfast (?) Guests on 2nd floor (I stayed on 1) can be heard walking around above (ruined the hotel experience).

The Anza was the only hotel in the area that was pet friendly so my choices were limited. Luckily! Very contrmporary design with hardwood floors in the rooms. I read comments about the shower design and how the floor gets wet. It does, but who cares? Threw down an extra towel and called it good. Very nice staff and easy check in. Mini-fridge in the room was also nice to keep wine cood. Very spacious rooms so the three of us sharing the room were plenty comfortable. Only downside I found was no room service. There are single brew coffee pots in the room but I would have loved to have been able to have a pot of fresh coffee each monring in the room. There is a restaurant in the hotel which DOES service breakfast and coffee as well.
The beds were amazing!!! The bar was expensive and the staff was not attentive and appeared to only want to serve when it was convenient to them. For the money, I spent I would expect either a complementary continental breakfast or free parking. Neither was available.
All was fabulous at the Anza. Love the room. The bed was very comfortable. Henry and Zoe at the front desk were very professional, informed and personable. My only suggestions would be to have a few hooks in the bathroom to hang wet towels and maybe a mirror on the side wall in the bathroom. I wear contacts and it sometimes hard to see across the vanity.
We had to kick and scream to get a room that matched our reservation. They told us they had no more king bed rooms available. Then after raising a stink they magically found us a king room. There is also no material (magazines) in the room that describe the city or activities in the area.
It was very relaxing environment, also accept dogs.
Rooms, common areas, and facilities were very nice and modern looking. Outside (dirty / run down), the parking (old / run down), and hallways (old / run down).

The location which seemes very safe and quiet. Then top comforter sheet was rough. The carpet is very dirty. Towels where rough. There were 5 gnats in the sink when we arrived.

1.) The parking lot is a bit cramped. I drive a compact, and it was still difficult backing out without hitting a car on the other side of the aisle. 2.) The carpet cleaners were scheduled to come in during my stay, but I was not told about this at time of booking. And this was despite the fact that the carpets were fine! I should have been informed about the planned cleaning beforehand, because it was a part of what I was buying.
Good value for the money. Nice neighborhood near a supermarket, fast food, gas and several eating establishments. Free parking. Would have been nice to have a microwave in the room, but you can use the one in the hotel lobby if needed.
Location Dirty Floors. Housekeeping was great, but they need to change the carpets. Good value for the money.
The location. It was clean. False advertising about "Free Wifi". It was only free for 24 hours for 2 devices and then you had to pay. Uncomfortable beds. Not a great experience with the staff. Called to get an early check in, was told it would be no problem by 2 different people. We still had to wait.

Convenient location ( off the 101, as we were headed to Lompoc) and friendly staff. Overall ok hotel for what we needed. Somewhat run down and the rooms are very small! Only one queen bed in most rooms and we needed up having to get a third room ( we had planned to stay 2 adults and 2 kids in one room, which is not possible) But my request for another room was accommodated and the front desk girl gave me a matches rate for the room for the night, which was appreciated.

the staff on some days was really nice & very accomodating but not on a regular basis I found a roll of toilet paper on the corner of my bed & also a soap rapper there was some concern in my mind if they replaced the sheets/towels or simply fixed them since they had a bit of a smell to them.

The room was spacious...good pillows. Good gym, nice pool. Two elevators were out (and have been for 3 years!), making trips up and down sometimes very lengthy. You can call the operator each time you go to the elevator asking to be picked up, but how ridiculous for a hotel of this caliber. Restaurant food was boring. All three places to eat at the hotel had the same menu, with tiny differences. The first meal or two it is fine, you can find alternate foods to eat, but after a few days, a change is necessary. It cost $18 for a so-called, all you can eat 'continental breakfast'...yogurt, fruit, cereal, muffins and coffee! This Hilton is near the Universal City Walk, all franchise restaurants so no good food nearby for real foodies...if you like buffets with all you can eat, this is your place.
Best place to stay when going to Universal Studios, and I go a lot. There's a free shuttle that takes you to the entrance of City Walk or you can walk there in less than 10 minutes via the pedestrian bridge.
Close to Universal Studios The outside hallway carpet was greasy and muddy. Even after having them clean it, we continued to bring grease and grime and dirt into our hotel room. Our entry walkway was pretty disgusting because of it.

Staff was great, location to other attractions The parking garage was pricey considering I paid 200.00 a night should get a discount when staying. The elevators were all not in service. Breakfast was too expensive for a weeks stay. I couldn't find a salon inside for service.

It was charming, room and bed comfortable with a deck overlooking pool. Im fussy and i found it a pleasant experience quiet, clean and relaxing. Staff excellent and a short walk to beach, handy to shops and restaurants.
The pillows and bed were excellent. Made for a refreshing stay.

Everything was first class. Staff is the best, made my wife and I feel important. Could not do enough for us. Everyone checked to make sure our stay was first class. Need better pillows and lower parking rate for guests of the hotel.
Great location across the street from the Santa Monica Pier. LEED Gold building. Super high prices not at all justified by the experience. Stiff, unfriendly staff. Even after the very high room rates, there were no extras included. Virtually everything is a la carte extra cost -- from beach towels ($35/towel), parking (>$45/day), etc. The double queen room layout wasn't at all "family friendly". We loved Santa Monica, but didn't like the Shore Hotel at all.
Room was comfortable and had nice amenities. Nickel and dimed to death. $7 to print out boarding passes in their business center. Forty dollars for breakfast. Thirty dollars for two drinks. Once I've paid for a nice hotel room, I like to think the hotel I've paid for is my home for the few nights I'm there. I felt like the Shore's mark. Can't even give me a cup of coffee? I won't be back. $8 bottle of water in the room. $35 towels mixed into the regular towels? I am not your huckleberry.
June 15,2015 Could not get into our room until 4. Notified them we would arrive around 11 A.M. Hoped for noon or 1 P.M. room. Manager finally got involved. The rest of our stay was awesome. The staff is very friendly and excellent service. Stayed for four days. Wonderful location to beach and easy walking to shopping, farmer's markets etc. Wondered why with the remodel the bathrooms are small--one sink. T.C. on staff was the best!
The service staff was great, enjoyed the hotel staff cars (Mercedes and Rolls Royce) taking us to shopping locations/lunch... and picking us up. The hotels artwork, decor and architecture is one of the best in the World, and we have travelled most of Europe and stayed in their 5 start hotels. The Beverly Wishire gets 5 Stars+ in my book, my 2nd time their and I will return again soon. Dr Phil M
The beverly wilshire is just an excellent hotel with warm and cozy enviroment, luxurious and really fancy. Guest is very good served The shower is so weak and has no presure, that you hardly can take a shower.
Staff was very friendly and helpful! Construction noise made sleeping difficult.

The hotel is very welcoming and and has an overall relaxed vibe. excellent location. it's very vintage in its deco look, but well maintained. you feel like you've stepped back in time. quite charming. and, the staff is very gracious without being intrusive. The intimacy of the hotel - it is private and feels far less commercial than the larger international hotels.
Had the charm of an old classic hotel, yet the rooms were fully updated and quite comfortable. Great small hotel feeling. Close to the pier, shopping, and dining options Just hate paying for parking, yet you are right in the middle of Santa Monica. Just an pet peeve, not a negative for the hotel.

I've now stayed at The Georgian twice. It feels like a home away from home. I love it! The staff is courteous and kind. The accommodations were lovely. The all-day food service was very convenient (and delicious). The proximity to shops and restaurants, the beach and pier is impressively walk-able. And the view is incredible!

I loved the total glamour that the Bevely Hills exudes. You can literally bump into Academy Award winners - and I did! It is not easy to find off facility parking.

This is a classic location with a classic luxury feel to it. A famous hotel - and you can see why It was disappointing to learn when we arrived that the rate we booked in advance with yourselves had changed and was slightly more expensive. However this did not really spoil our stay.
The hotel was wonderful in every way. The service was fantastic and all the staff were just lovely. They were so attentive and polite but not 'hovering'. The hotel itself was beautiful and you feel very special whilst staying there. It's quite large but still retains all the privacy you could want. My only regret is that our schedule didn't allow a longer stay to enjoy this wonderful hotel even more.
I can't begin to find words to express how much we enjoyed our stay at the Marina del Rey Ritz Carlton! We arrived on a Wednesday morning with a sick child. The staff immediately took charge helping to get us situated with a room and going so far above and beyond ensuring that our stay was enjoyable. From the person who greeted us to take our luggage, to the valet, to the front desk staff to the wait staff in the restaurant and the gift shop (which opened up for us to get us meds in the middle of the night) to the manager who followed up even after we had left their hotel, every layer was kind, attentive and fantastic! They honestly made us feel like we were at home with family who was concerned about us. What a fantastic experience! T

Staff is great, and generally a very nice hotel. Doesn't live up to our expectations based on previous experiences at other Ritz hotels. It feels tired, not as luxurious as others, and is starting to show some age without upkeep. A simple example would be the pool has cracked tiles and feels rundown.

I liked that the hotel was near the water, close to a concert I was attending. I booked this hotel because they had balconies and it was near the water. The balcony was closed due to renovations. The bath tub was small , hotel was a little outdated. Not as special as a experience as I was hoping for

I like the avalibiliy of the staff For a younger crowd in there 25-30 age it's not an appeasing hotel it's more for older crowd like 50-60 so for me being a pro Olympic athlete and being 23 yrs old I didn't enjoy it that much

Lobby and common areas are fine/good. Illy espresso maker in room is good. Free parking was nice and offered glass of sparkling wine on arrival. Stuck us in a room that was like a prison cell with a Queen bed. King room was paid for and others were open. Shower barely allowed me to turn around and did not have a ledge for soap/toiletries so had to leave those on the ground. Also right next to an elevator bank. Room was not exactly clean either, mainly in the bathroom. Absolutely unacceptable. Highly disappointed because it was not cheap.
Nice that they had free bikes available for use. Nice decor. Nice staff. Decent location, but not much within walking distance unless you are ok walking more than a half mile. Bikes are not available when it's dark out.
The views were excellent. The towels and robes were excellent. The ambiance was nice. The bed was really comfortable, I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. The toiletries (soap, lotion) were insufficient, of inferior quality. The walls were paper thin, we could hear every conversation, every cough from next door and in the hallway, although we were on a starwood preferred guest floor.
I was really impressed with the price of this hotel, the food was fantastic and the location was great.

The location, parking facility, good service including business assistance with computer, The room change with rate change was not recorded so I was overcharged and had to fix this at check out, this caused a delay and unnecessary hassle.

Did not lume anything. Lots of disssapointments First of all very very dirty hotel. Carpet not even vacuum and very dirty. Very small restroom. No minibar. The mezzanine restaurant closed at 10 and was very small. Waiters and valet parking guys nearly speaks English. Low cost employees and very unfriendly. Way too expensive hotel. Ugly expeirence.
Due to an oversight from booking.com we ended up without a place to stay for the evening, we never tried kayak before and in less than a minute we secured a room, cheaper than the original booking. The hotel was clean room was spacious they had a shuttle in a three mile radius. Close to shops malls etc. Hated the lumpy pillows , gel pillows work so much better. Our heads weigh a lot so down pillows just get smashed down. Shower head was way too high and was low flow,
A jug of milk, ordered for my three young children was 22 dollars.
Price was,great for a safe and clean room. Had to pay $17 for parking when there are plenty of parking in near by malls. Room was no frills but clean and comfortable
Weekend rates were excellent and it is centrally located within a mile of dozens of restaurants, a movie theatre, malls, etc.. 15 minutes from the beach and 30 minutes from Hollywood. Great location if you are visiting someone in the West San Fernando Valley The lobby was under constructions so it was a little bit hectic with the limited operating space.

Big room. Walking distance to shopping (Westfield Topanga). Noisy. The room is not well insulated from noise in the hall way and adjacent rooms. The mattress was too soft. The bed frame made noise and had to be fixed. No safe in the room for valuables. Internet costs extra. $17 for parking.

Friendly and helpful staff, room was very clean and comfortable they have removed the bath tubs, which was a bummer because I was really looking forward to a hot soak at the end of my day. Also, the overhead bathroom light automatically shuts off after a few minutes, so the room went mostly dark during my shower.

Bathroom door was broken, dirt in the bathtub, too much light in the AM, workers making lots of noise at 8am to fix pool area, bar on roof and pool not open even though it said it was online and that was the whole reason to go there. Took my boyfriend for 40th and highly disappointed. I was embarrassed!!!!!
Please don't waste your money The staff was extremely rude, flowers were delivered to me that I didn't get untill a day and a half later, room service was poor, room is dirty, I would rate this a two star hotel.
All the Art Deco features. Its a beautifully renovated hotel. We booked the Deluxe room because it was a bigger room & couldnt really fault it. The bathroom has a big bath tub in it & the room is full of Art Deco detail. Hotel staff were extremly friendly & helpful. Hotel is right across from the beach therefore great views. If you have time go up to the rooftop bar. Great views. No water provided in the rooms. Internet facilities for people that dont have a laptop arnt that convenient. Internet is only free for the first 15 min & then you need to pay. Only one computer available right in the lobby no no real privacy either, very distracting. The hotel room rates are a little pricy but we enjoyed our stay.

Santa Monica is the best place to stay in LA for pleasure, and for business travelers with a little extra time for commute. The Shangri-La is the hippest, best place on the water. We've stayed at Shutters and Casa del Mar - eaten at Viceroy. Shangri La beats them all. authentic updated Art Deco, great size, pool, rooftop bar with view of the Santa Monica pier and beach. No question - the go-to place in LA . The New York Times Travel Section agrees. And this is not paid or sponsored - I am a real person - stayed with my daughter on her school break. Loved it! The city was cleaning a parking garage opposite of the hotel during the night for two nights in a row, which was extremely noisy, therefore I checked out after two nights. I had a small room without a desk an therefore I think $300 per night was too much.
lovely room but we upgraded and the pool are and roof top very nice. Our only concern were the staff who didnt really have a clue apart from the bell boy and valets. Wake up calls always 15 -30 mins late/fridge didnt get replenished unless we asked
The hotel decor was pretty sterile. The Viceroy across the street was much more esthetically pleasing. The pool was ok, not great. The coffee bar was under staffed and looked temporary. Good for location. Staff cheerful, but not what I expected.
Everyone went above and beyond to make the stay comfortable.
They did not have our reservation when we checked in; after calling twice to confirm. During those two calls, I was put on hold for thirty minutes the first time and eight minutes the second time..finally, they confirmed. Yet, upon arrival, they did not have our reservation and I had to check my confirmation email on my phone to prove it. No "sorry" gifts/amenities were given.
