Pros: very classy feeling. beautiful space and decor. great history.
Cons: the service around the pool was that of a 3 to 4 star hotel. Servers would leave garbage on the tables . slow to get a drink or help. Not so classy as the rest of the hotel
Pros: Staff is helpful garden is amazing
Cons: location is so hard to find.
This family-friendly Beverly Hills hotel is located in the historical district, within 3 mi (5 km) of Los Angeles Country Club and University of California Los Angeles. Museum of Tolerance and Hammer Museum are also within 3 mi (5 km).
Pros: The service staff was great, enjoyed the hotel staff cars (Mercedes and Rolls Royce) taking us to shopping locations/lunch... and picking us up.
The hotels artwork, decor and architecture is one of the best in the World, and we have travelled most of Europe and stayed in their 5 start hotels. The Beverly Wishire gets 5 Stars+ in my book, my 2nd time their and I will return again soon.

Pros: The beverly wilshire is just an excellent hotel with warm and cozy enviroment, luxurious and really fancy.
Guest is very good served
Cons: The shower is so weak and has no presure, that you hardly can take a shower.
Surrounded by high-end shopping and dining venues, this luxurious Beverly Hills property is located near Rodeo Drive and just minutes away from Paley Centre for Media, Museum of the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences, and Museum of Tolerance.
Pros: Facilities are beautiful, staff is super friendly. Lots of character - way better than the other nearby chain hotels. Pool terrace has a great view of the beach - Palm Terrace rooms are great since you get a patio!
Cons: Pool is quite small.
Pros: good survice
Cons: everythings good
At Hotel Casa Del Mar, you'll be just a 5-minute drive from Santa Monica Pier and Santa Monica College. After having fun at the outdoor pool, you can grab a bite to eat at the restaurant or unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge. Other highlights at this exclusive hotel include a health club, a fitness center, and a steam room.
Pros: Wonderful ambience. Very "homey", with a gracious and polite staff.
Cons: The room was relatively small, with an overhead and noisy air conditioner. The "Velvet Room" at the hotel appeared charming, but despite the fact that the hotel manager recommended going there on a Thursday night, we could not get served there at around 9:50pm because they were "shutting down". Ironically, we had tried to order drinks at the Velvet Room bar 10 minutes earlier, but there were too many people at the bar to get our order in, and by the time we located a table in the bar, which was about 80% occupied, we were told that management had instructed the bartenders to "shut things down". Needless to say, we were miffed that the hotel manager had highlighted the speakeasy as a charming amenity of the hotel at the morning breakfast , only to be shut out from the premises prior to 10:00pm on the very same evening.
Pros: High Tea was the best!
Cons: Not a thing
Pros: Such a warm welcome from the moment we drove up. The staff is very is personable. The hotel decor is lovely our room was so nice and comfy. Very shabby chic. Food was incredible! Great location too! I can't wait to come back!
Pros: This hotel is ADORABLE! So much charm!
Pros: Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, decor was lovely and very interesting, very active night life scene with live music in the lobby. It was clear that most of the people at the hotel for the night life were not hotel guests. Location was excellent with many restaurants, shops, and bars within walking distance.
This historic Culver City hotel is 0.5 mile from Sony Pictures Studio, 3 miles from Santa Monica Pier, and 5 miles from Venice Beach.
Pros: My husband and I had a fabulous stay at the Marina del Rey Hotel.
Our room had a amazing view of the marina, was very well appointed and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to that part of LA.
Pros: Vibrant lounge with a nice view of the marina.
Cons: $30 valet only parking option!! Weird odor in the room
Pros: Ambiance was great from the beachy/sea vibe in the lobby with the "flying" seagull sculptures hanging from the ceiling a wonderful scent machine in the lobby that makes you feel like you are at the beach.
Very romantic setting at the outside bar complete with couches and fire pits.
Beds were super comfortable.
Cons: $30/day for valet parking is a bit steep when there is plenty of parking around the hotel. Give an option for people to park their own cars, even if you have to charge a fee.
Pros: The remodel is first class.
Cons: The front desk service was fine. The dining was terrible. Slow inattentive service, overdone steak, raw salmon, overpriced.
Pros: We loved the view, facilities, great beds and location of the hotel.
Cons: No complaints.
5 miles from the Los Angeles International Airport, this hotel is 4 blocks from the shops and restaurants of Fisherman's Village and a mile from a public beach.
Cons: Engineering in the room for the first 40 minutes with no resolution-- had to change rooms... Not the engineers' fault but we should not have been checked in to a room in repair. It made for a stressful beginning.;'(
When you stay at Shutters on the Beach, you'll be just a 5-minute drive from Santa Monica Pier and Santa Monica College. You can splash around at the outdoor pool, grab a bite to eat at the restaurant, or unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge. Other highlights at this exclusive hotel include a health club, a fitness center, and a sauna.
Pros: I liked that the hotel was near the water, close to a concert I was attending.
Cons: I booked this hotel because they had balconies and it was near the water. The balcony was closed due to renovations. The bath tub was small , hotel was a little outdated. Not as special as a experience as I was hoping for
Pros: Nice place, but not worth the Ritz premium. I would stay at the JW Marriott in Santa Monica next time I'm in the area.
Pros: Hotel staff was outstanding; from valet, front desk & concierge all the way through to pool attendants, room service and bell desk.
Cons: Totality , needs upgraded , bathrooms , amenities , need more restaurants .
Pros: Staff is great, and generally a very nice hotel.
Cons: Doesn't live up to our expectations based on previous experiences at other Ritz hotels. It feels tired, not as luxurious as others, and is starting to show some age without upkeep. A simple example would be the pool has cracked tiles and feels rundown.
Pros: I like the avalibiliy of the staff
Cons: For a younger crowd in there 25-30 age it's not an appeasing hotel it's more for older crowd like 50-60 so for me being a pro Olympic athlete and being 23 yrs old I didn't enjoy it that much
Pros: the location
Cons: room service food. the french soup was disgusting. There was also no glasses in the room.
time it took to get the food
valet parking took 15 mins to get our car
Pros: I can't begin to find words to express how much we enjoyed our stay at the Marina del Rey Ritz Carlton! We arrived on a Wednesday morning with a sick child. The staff immediately took charge helping to get us situated with a room and going so far above and beyond ensuring that our stay was enjoyable. From the person who greeted us to take our luggage, to the valet, to the front desk staff to the wait staff in the restaurant and the gift shop (which opened up for us to get us meds in the middle of the night) to the manager who followed up even after we had left their hotel, every layer was kind, attentive and fantastic! They honestly made us feel like we were at home with family who was concerned about us. What a fantastic experience! T

Pros: Everyone went above and beyond to make the stay comfortable.
Pros: The hotel decor was pretty sterile. The Viceroy across the street was much more esthetically pleasing. The pool was ok, not great. The coffee bar was under staffed and looked temporary. Good for location. Staff cheerful, but not what I expected.
The words "Southern California" conjure up an intoxicating blend of sun, sand and surf. Here at Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel you'll enjoy the quintessential California getaway at a premier hotel near Santa Monica Pier.
Pros: It was right across from the marina. A beautiful setting. Convenient to restaurants and nightlife. The staff was very friendly. The room was immaculate and clean. I enjoyed my stay. I would highly recommend it.
Pros: The lobby, close location to Venice beach and the bar were quite nice. Staff is accommodating and nice.
Cons: Rooms and interiors of the halls were old, carpet is definitely old, and the lounge for elite members is tiny (cramped seating). Really small outdoor pool.
Pros: The service and staff were great - hotel is very nice!
Pros: Room was nice and clean
Cons: Parking for $37, valet only was a rip-off!
Cons: Parking fee not included in stay
Cons: Rooms not ready for check in

With our brand new lobby, inviting outdoor lounge and spacious new guest rooms offering panoramic views of Marina del Rey, Southern California coastlines, along with city and mountain views of the entire Los Angeles basin, you’ll find that our hotel is the perfect location.
Pros: We liked the comfortable beds and updated room. The hotel had everything we needed - although we didn't have the chance to try much out since we were staying there after a late wedding and left early morning.
Cons: Valet was overpriced. For the price of the room self-park should at least be free. The room location (318) was level with the gravel top roof building below - unsightly and defeated the purpose of having a balcony.
Pros: The concierge office was good with instructions.
Registration was friendly and helpful.
Cons: When we first arrived and went to our room, they had not made the bed and the pillows were on the chair in the room.
The room cleaning staff was not real up to the standard that Marriott offers other places.
We found a wet towel on our side table one day, they never replaced the glasses once they were used. They either left them or just did not replace them even though they were gone or dirty.
They did not remove used food on plates from the room - Had to place them in the hall for them to get taken.
Left things as if they had not finished their job.
It seems that the cleaning staff needs to be taught the proper things to do. DO NOT leave rooms unfinished!
The concierge lounge was not what it has been at other stays in other areas. They ran out of food each evening. The selection was not at all what it has been other locations. The staff in this area were not very friendly.
Cons: I had reserved 5 rooms each with 2 double beds. At checkin I was given 4 rooms each with a King bed & 1 room with 2 double beds. Each room was to accommodate a family of 4. Clearly, 4 people would not fit on 1 King bed. I was offered a rollaway in only 1 of the rooms with a King & told that there were no more rollaways available. Some members of my party could not stay at the hotel & went to stay with local relatives. Shame on Marriott for not honoring the reservations as made!!
Pros: The room was comfortable and adequate. It was pretty inexpensive going through an online source. Having said all the negative comments it is tons better than most hotel rooms I have been in.
Cons: They did not give free wi fi. I tried to use my computer with a wire in the business room and it did not work. The lobby was so noisy that it was impossible to use the computer there even though in the lobby the wi-fi was "free". The parking was like a block away and you had to pay. They were short on amenities. I felt like they were nickel and diming me. The nice view they gave me was rather short on the nice. ,They did not give free wi fi. The parking was like a block away and you had to pay. They were short on amenities. I felt like they were nickel and diming me. The nice view they gave me was rather short on the nice.
Pros: Location and price. Starbucks in the lobby.
Cons: The hotel overall felt old, tired and way overdue for a complete renovation.

Cons: My room was not clean -- dusty furniture, dearty windows, hand cream, that hotel provided dried up.
Cons: Internet was very slow
Pros: Great staff. Beautiful decor. Great room. Good location.
Cons: No complaints
Cons: Did not serve breakfast before 7:00 AM on the weekend. In town for a soccer game and had to leave the property to get breakfast.
Pros: Room was clean and quite big. Room furniture was adequate. It was without frills and fancy.
Cons: The shower area was not properly designed. The shower curtains were not adequate. This cause water to spill over and make the whole floor wet. It became a big mess.
Also the vanity area was very small.
Pros: Location is excellent--lot's to do nearby. Room is comfortable. Wifi is free. coffee pot in room.
Cons: Bed is way too soft. TV has limited channels. Paid parking--$15.00 per day. No full service restaurant--only dinner. Pool is small and hot tub is not inviting. Staff are direct not gracious. No safe in room.

Pros: Great breakfast
Very friendly staff
Bed was comfortable
Cons: Sofa bed was not comfortable
Pros: Good location. Very nice property. Great common area on each floor. Above average breakfast buffet. Friendly staff. Close to freeway. Good internet connectivity. Courtesy computers and printer on ground floor.
Cons: Noisy in room refrigerator kept waking us up in the middle of the night.

Pros: The closeness to the beach and water and how close we were to Venice beach all the interesting people and places we saw was just amazing can't wait to come again
Cons: The only thing I didn't really like was the view from our room
Pros: We were planning to have our short, informal ceremony on the beach and then enjoy the rooftop; but, our view was so amazing, we had our ceremony right on our patio deck! Also, when I mentioned to Billy that we were getting married that day, he sent a bottle of champagne to our room! Unbelievable guest service! We will recommend the Erwin to friends & family.
Pros: We stayed here with a couple friends for a birthday weekend celebration. Jesenia was really nice and calles us when we were able to check in early. The rooms were great. My cousin checked in early but didn't get the king bed she booked. So later she called Jeff and was able to get a better room. A suite!
Cons: The rooftop lounge during the day was great. The bartenders was nice. At nighttime, the waitress we had was btichy. The lounge areas were nice but even for hotel fuests we had to reserve on opentable.com. the problem was we had a big group. They provide blankets so thats a plus but we didn't stay up there long. Lastly, Valet/parking was $32!
Pros: the suite was awesome! The rooftop bar was great. Blankets were clutch. Friendly staff!
Cons: The tiny sign on the door entrance in the corner.. Stating that there were chemicals in the building from which you could get cancer from.. Was not clear when I book the hotel that the building is a health risk.

Cons: the accommodation is terrible, short of staff, everything is so expensive, I'm expecting five star accommodation, instead I'm getting a terrible room with nothing to offer, I wouldn't recommend to any friend of mine.

Pros: The location is good - very close to the beach and restaurants
Cons: Horrible customer service - they overcharged me for a number of items, including mini bar purchases that we didn't make, and then 'investigated' while we waited 20 minutes for them to tell us they had no receipts. They never apologized after essentially suggesting we were lying. They rented out the entire pool and outdoor area for a Lincoln car event so guests had zero access to the outdoor pool area, which was a main selling point of this hotel. The carpet in the hallways had duct tape in many places because it was old and ripped. When I initially called to tell them we were checking in late, I had to call back three times because they first transferred me to the wrong person, then put me directly into voicemail. When I finally spoke to reception to confirm they would hold our king bed high floor room, they said they don't guarantee a high floor, which is exactly what we paid for and I told them that was listed on my reservation. After arguing over it, they confirmed I would be on a high floor. Overall, customer service was lacking and you didn't feel at any time that you were a priority - more of an inconvenience for them actually. Not worth the price they charge and definitely not a relaxing experience.
Pros: It didn't have the elegance - seemed cheesy w decor. We were sad it wAsnt on the beach for $650 a night. Dining room was not inviting - just a sad time overall but the beds were soft and linens were good.
Pros: It has a great service
Very nice decoration and design
Great location (crossing the street is the Hotel Shutters, on Ocean Avenue and 5 minute walk to third street promenade)
This Los Angeles-area hotel is set across from the civic center, 2 blocks from the beach and famed Santa Monica Pier; the airport is 9 miles away.
Pros: Location was interesting; good restaurants nearby; kinda edgy.
Weirdly, my hair loved whatever shampoo & conditioner they used (could also be the quality of the water itself?). I never had such silky smooth hair!
Cons: The facilities reminded me of a motel in the 70's. They tried to be trendy and hip, but it just didn't cut it. The room didn't feel private. The balcony overlooked the courtyard one floor below and there was a really bright light at night, so I didn't feel comfortable opening the curtains to let any light in. The bathtub had a no-slip matt inside, so it felt like a retirement home. Although relatively clean, the smell of the cleaning products was really old-school. Only thing missing was the coin-operated vibrating bed. No restaurant or room service, and breakfast in the morning was very basic.
My daughter and l had a wonderful stay at this hotel.
Our room was very clean and beds where comfortable.
The location is a short walk to the beach.
The staff was friendly, professional and attentive!
We were so happy with our accommodations that we extended our stay by two days.
Highly recommend !
Pros: I've stayed here before for a few days - great location and generally a very good place to stay.
However the room was a bit musty when I entered - not enough for me to want a new oom but noticeable.
Facilities are OK - bathroom very cosy though.
Would definetly stay again.
This European-style inn is inspired by the culture and history of nearby Venice Beach, and is located less than two blocks from the Boardwalk. Marina Del Rey is four blocks away.
Pros: This hotel was great for us. We got a large room with king bed and fold out queen. It was very clean and the location was great for us, we really appreciated how secure the hotel was. The breakfast in the morning was nice and it was walking distance to many fast food options and a grocery store right across the street.
Cons: The only problem we had was with the shower, it was very clean and nicely redone, but the water pressure was horrible and I don't think the shower head was hooked up correctly. Other than that it was great.
Pros: New carpet, very clean room. Breakfast was great! Plenty of choices. Overall I would definitely recommend.
Cons: Sink was backed up but was taken care of when we reported it.
Pros: Having a variety breakfast, choice of hot or cold and a change every other day. The help in breakfast room always pleasant and kept everything filled, and cleaned up after the messy people.
Cons: Didn't like having to pay $5. for a refrigerator in room, they were remodeling practically the whole floor and the cabinets where the micro and refrig went were empty so when we ask for the refrig were told it would be $5. so yes it was worth it for the days we were there although it was not very cold.
Parking was an issue if you had to leave your keys with desk, when you are responsible for a rental having someone else have keys is a worry, and most aggravating is keys that become demagnetized and your room the farthest from desk and your tired and have to go back down for it to be fixed it happened twice

Pros: Everything! I loved this place. Great location, friendly and attentive staff, large room, beautiful decor, beach cruisers. I will be back!
Cons: Only complaint was the walls are thin and you can hear neighbors
Hotel Oceana offers a cool inviting atmosphere throughout the suites and public spaces giving it the perfect mix of space and style. Hotel Oceana is ideally located on Santa Monica's famous Ocean Avenue and is just steps away from the Pacific Ocean, the Santa Monica pier, as well as the hip Third Street Promenade and Montana Avenue shopping districts, both well-known for their retails outlets, restaurants and entertainment options.
Pros: Clean room and convenient location. Nice common areas. Mostly friendly and helpful staff. The best price for the overpriced area.
Cons: This location has under gone a half hearted renovation. The price doesn't match the quality. The layout of the property is odd and there are no rooms with good views. Some of the furniture is banged up. The water temperature is difficult to control in the sinks. Sewer gas smells would come from the bathroom drains at night. Lower levels can hear movement from upper levels.
Pros: Good location and staff was very accommodating.
