We have stayed here before and it's fine, but dated. Tha A/C is noisy, the heated pool and spa are great! Noisy A/C unit. The facility is in need of a facelift, but for the price we will continue to stay here because there is nothing about it that's bad, just room for improvement.
Staff were friendly and did the best they could but this facility was not up to the usual nicer Comfort Inns we have stayed at, particularly at this rate. Breakfast food was limited and the space to eat was way too small and could not handle the volume of people (about 5 times too small. We were in the room closes to the lobby but still had very very slow internet. The carpet was on the old side, and was not dirty but it did not look as clean as it should. The sink had some damage/scratches etc..
Good location, easy on and off I-17. After a long day of driving I was really looking forward to a long hot shower. The water was lukewarm at best and the same was true the next morning. At almost $200 a night, seems like hot water should be included?
Ladies that checked me in Day crew were rude unhelpful. Made me move rooms due to water leak but forced me to return to due so within 20 min or my belongings were not there responsibility. No discount for move.
Friendly Staff People smoking below my room
Very nice staff, clean-spotless room and very quiet.
This motel is on the corner of a residential block in a quiet part of town, across the corner from a tiny strip mall with a great restaurant (Crickets). The speed limit is 25 mph, so what traffic there is isn't loud. The town the motel is in is friendly and inviting, and the staff of the motel reflect this. We were made to feel like part of the community from the moment we got out of our car. Our room was clean and well maintained. The curly-cue light bulbs give off dim light--if you read paper books or knit, you may wish to bring a small portable light source with you.
Nothing. Owner refused to allow me to stay despite the fact that I paid for the room in advance, and it was 11pm and I was six months pregnant and had been on the road al day coming from Florida. We searched for pet friendly hotels as my boyfriend and I were making the move from Florida to California. The owner lists her hotel as pet friendly so that it gets more site traffic but it is infact not pet friendly. You can only bring a dog that is 20lbs or less. So that means no cats and if your dog is 30lbs she (the owner) will not allow you to stay at her hotel despite the fact the the weight limit info is listed in fine print and no where near where hotel amenities are listed or where hotel bookings are made. Additionally the owner who refused to allow her employee to disclose her name and or contact info but who's ultimate decision it was to either allow me to stay or allow my funds to be released so that I could financially secure another room for the night, also refused to speak to me over the phone. So there I was in the middle of the night exhausted, pregnant, hauling a moving truck and trailer with no where to stay and not even so much as a kind word for the misunderstanding. The front desk guy said it happens all the time and the owner is a real stickler about it, meaning she often has this issue and still makes no effort to correct it with either the guest or the travel sites she's lists her hotel on (Kayak, Expedia) apparently she quite often takes people's money for the full hotel stay but does not allow the guest to stay siting the pet policy as the reason. So the owner refused to get on the phone with me however she felt it necessary to call Expedia to confirm she would not be releasing my funds and she stayed on the phone with the front desk guy who was the only hotel employee on site and used him to relay to me what she wanted said but she herself would not speak to me. She told employee to relay the "tough luck" message to me. In addition to the extremely unpleasant reception I received, the location of this hotel couldn't be more inconvenient. It is in a very residential area, there are zero amenities, there are no restaurants, gas stations, convenient stores or stores of any kind within miles of the hotel. The roads to get to the hotel (at night) are very dark, narrow and treacherous. The area doesn't feel safe as it is off some obscure freeway exit in what seems like the middle of no where. I hope no one else encounters the same problems my boyfriend and I did. And honestly just how mean and inhuman she handled the whole situation left me in tears. This woman and her hotel were the only negative part of own entire cross country trip.
The price was excellent and close to Sedona. A little hard to find in the dark, but really not that difficult if you stay on the main road till you see their sign.
