Waiting 2 hours to pick up the car, even though had a reservation. One hour in line to get to the desk to show my reservation. Of course they didn’t have the vehicle I rented or similar vehicle. Got something different. Ok, still served our purpose. Went outside to get the car and saw that there was at least 40 people waiting for their car. Not exaggerating, there might have been more. Waited another hour outside in the heat with two small kids and nowhere to sit. The experience was mind boggling. It was an expensive rental and the car was given to us muddy and sandy—-even though I waiting an hour for the car be presumably cleaned to be given to me. Upon return, they said I would receive my receipt via email. I’m still waiting. I have no way of confirming that what I was charged is accurate, it’s more than the estimate. Don’t have much hope in being helped by calling. What a terrible experience.

Terrible experience. One person running the counter with a massive line, it takes about 15-20 mins per person.Was there for 4 hours just waiting to get to the counter for a car already reserved. They try and get you with the sticker chip for tolls that yes you are going to use while driving in PR, but not for the price of 10 plus tax a day. Only if you have the car for a weekend that might make sense, but I was going to pay $250extra just for that, which for a local for me, that’s crazy. The car just got returned, it was dirty on the inside, barely washed on the outside, the indoor lights did not work, no wiper fluid and so many other things. The car horn was also not working, a literal safety feature that every car should have was not working. Overall a horrible experience. The cheap price is not worth it in my opinion and if that’s not convincing enough, look at the Google reviews for more like this.

I have use this location multiple times and this time around the wait was a little less 40 minutes instead of almost 2 hrs was way better. The person at the counter was just ok not so inviting had her the last time as well she was not so friendly. I feel if they had more employees they would have a smooth transition. It was about 10 in the morning and just 2 guys getting cars for customers. Drop off at 4am worst just 2 guys working the counter and no one else working i try to inform him my car had roaches and needed fluid he stated just 2 of us working he did his best to take my complaint.

Really bad experience. Just one guy dispatching vehicles, lost 4 hours waiting to get my car and I had to return to exchange it because was full of cockroaches 🪳. Went back to do the exchange and the line still all the way outside at 1 am with kids and elder standing around…unfortunately and unacceptable…..

Had to return original rental because it was unsanitary, filthy infested with roaches. The replacement was cleaner; but had been in so many accidents parts of the car were taped on and continued falling off. Two doors couldn’t be opened simultaneously. We made the best of a bad situation!!!! Never again!!! Yes, I have pics and videos to confirm my statement .

I didn't like any part of the service as it is very poor. I selected a Ford Explorer or similar for 7 passengers, and when I arrived, they mentioned that they didn't have it available. They finally gave me a Kia Soul of 5 passengers without any discount.

Hands down the rudest and worst car rental experience I’ve ever had. The girl running the desk was over 1 hour late and I had to get the hotel front desk to call her cell phone for her to actually show up. After this, she couldn’t figure out how to unlock one of her own companies cars so I sat there for another hour wasting more time. When I asked her what was going on she dismissed me and continued speaking in Spanish to her colleague. At the end of the day I wasted 2.5 hours of my morning and ended up going to Enterprise where the same process took 10 minutes.

The lines outside the Pick up window was about 85 people deep and there were only 2 Customer Service agents. Each agent took about 20-25 mins per customer. At that rate, my number would have come the next day. Also, your employees were very rude and unhelpful despite my status. After waiting for 1 hour, we left in frustration and hailed an Uber to our destination. Shameful. I regret ever signing up with you guys. Worst experience. The people in this location do not really seem to care about the customer or their work. Zero motivation, Zero interest. They're doing their jobs only 'coz of a paycheck. These lazy and toxic employees will sink your company because they are the ones controlling your customer service experience. There is a reason Puerto Rico is in such a deep decline.

The pickup process was terrible and very slow and uninformed. It was not worth the discounted price for the poor service. On my trip the car was parked in front of the Airbnb. When I came out on the last morning there was a scratch on the door. When I returned the car the process was equally slow. I arrived early so I would not miss my flight and I was almost late. I have my own zero deductible travel insurance with $45,000 rental coverage plus I purchased their zero deductible coverage. They charged me $500 deductible anyway saying it was their policy. I said that is not ok but that’s what they did. They said my insurance will reimburse me. I hope they do. I would not recommend this car rental company and I will not use them again.

Pickup was extremely long. It look over an hour to get our car. The process for rental is very slow and frustrating as there were people standing around with luggage everywhere. Also, the mandatory insurance was not appreciated . This was not clear during the reservation on Kayak. The premium is far exaggerated and unfair for international travellers. They are basically charging a half year worth premium for a short term rental . It almost seems illegal The car itself was very nice and clean

The woman working in the front desk was the most unprofessional employee I’ve ever seen in a car rental place, she was frustrated because there were reservations and not enough cars, but she was taking it out on the guest, who were very frustrated when they learned that their reservation that was under 24 hours had no value, there was a lot of shouting attitude rolling of eyes, also they take photocopies of a credit card, which is not something any credit card holder wants to see done, Also I’m a New York State resident and my rentals are covered by my car insurance and I was forced to get insurance anyways -my $200 rental turned into 650, three hour line. Wait I have photos if you want them.

They added on numerous charges so that the promised charge which was $57 on Kayak came out to $140 in reality and that was without any insurance coverage. The charges were absurd like $20 processing fee. They did not deliver the car that we asked for instead it was much higher fuel usage. The car itself had 3 roaches inside . One in the glove compartment one in a plastic bag we found under the passenger seat and another in the trunk. We will not be using this service ever again

Good staff, easy pick up and drop off. The van was not good. Dirt every where, we left a glass with a little juice and in a couple of hours appears with 2 cockroaches. I had to drive below 50mph, the wheels weren’t balance so the van moved constantly. They told me they give me a 2024 Kia, but when I got in inmedietly realice it was a lie because the van had 45000 miles. Something impossible in 2 months.

Great check in, tough to find but was able to get ahold of someone who sent a van to pick us up. The car was basic and ran fine, def got the job done. What was disappointing was not being told about a cleaning fee, if we knew this in advance we could have easily vacuumed as the car, as the car wasn’t really dirty at all but could have used a vacuum, the charge was originally quoted as $100 but once the other individual checked the charge was $50. Again, a cleaning fee is fine but should have been communicated before taking the car for the week. Everything else was fine, the insurance coverage is very expensive.

Sixt gave us a car with an extremely loud engine, something off with transmission. They car had multiple dings which they tried to pass off as from us (but my mom took her own photos at the beginning). They also tried to tack on over $500 in additional coverages that I had already declined and tried to force my family to add them despite having coverage in place, and they added everything wrong and over charged us. Still working on a final resolution and worried about having the authorizations released. They claimed we lost the manual and registration which were in the car as well. I checked before I got out.

The experience started badly, but then was corrected by a manager named Edgar. He was very gracious and professional. He quickly corrected the problem. As per their staff in general, many of them were rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful. I will honestly say that specific manager named Edgar (Edgardo) is the best asset Sixt has.

Our flights got delayed and they coordinated with us to help us get our vehicles after business hours. I am truly grateful that we were able to work with this company, and when we come to San Juan next time, we will be getting our vehicles from them!

Getting the car was very fast and easy! The staff was friendly and very helpful. I was disappointed to learn about the drop off process after closing (only 6pm) when I picked up the car. having to essentially pay for parking at the airport because there is no designated drop off was not factored into my budget for the rental, especially since I was given no advanced notice of this. It seemed like a really backwards procedure for 2024. but everything else was very smooth!

People were nice. Drop off and shuttle was easy. Shuttle at the airport sucked and just ubered instructions were very unclear about going to the orange section. Bait and switched with the price got 150$ online and it ended up being nearly 500$ with taxes, tolls and insurance. Next time I’ll go with a different company. Also started my rental off with a half tank of gas instead of a full tank.

an absolutely horrible experience. i booked the car online, the price significantly changed when a came to pick up the car, it was night time, so I didn’t have any other options, but renting the car on the new conditions. and that isn’t the worst part, because this is something that I agreed for and signed, at least. the worst part followed after the drop off - I passed the car to the staff member, and was talked by him that I’ll get back the deposit in full in a couple of days. instead of $250 deposit return I only received $155. I called the company, they emailed me a new receipt, that doesn’t have my signatures, with a bunch of new charges and fees that I never confirmed. in the middle of filing the claim the agent hang up on me, so I had to call again to finalize the claim. the car was in a very poor condition, with the front fender all bended, making a scary scratching noise on the turns.

We change the initial car rented the follow day due to roaches and key malfunctions to close the car. The second car was infected of roaches as well

The process of actually getting the vehicle could be quicker. Quit trying to upsell. Be upfront about the fact that you needed a 2020 vehicle or newer to use your personal insurance. And the toll rate was crazy $$$. The car smelled like cigarettes. And the horn didn't work which is a necessity in Puerto Rico. And it took a long time to get the refund. All in all, you get what you paid for I guess. When we booked, on kayak it said that you could pick up the vehicle at the airport. Not true. You have to take a shuttle.
