6.7 Good
Pros: This hotel has awesome facilities and cleaning environment
Cons: the hotel service seems not worth. We have to pay higher price for a bottle of low cost spring water. And check out time is extremely long. We have to wait until they checked the room, it’s actually wasted our time even they already charged deposit.

Pros: The décor, grounds, owners, cleanliness, price all exceeded my expectations. Staying here is a blessing--literally living in an art gallery. Each room is equipped with its own tv and fridge. Unit has air-conditioning. All the gorgeous paintings of flowers make this a remarkable and blessed space to spend time in. And when you venture outdoors, the thrill continues and soars!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very warm and inviting, super tasty breakfast too!
Cons: I don't want to give such a good review, because Ann will be so busy she will not be able to receive me us in future!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The petite suite was exceptionally comfortable, and beautifully appointed. The staff was comprised of some of the most pleasant, helpful, people ever seen on this planet.
Cons: The room had an espresso maker, but did not have a regular coffee maker. For those of us who find espresso unpalatable, a regular coffee maker would be far preferable.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendly staff. The best location if you want to stay a few days in the hearth of the Old Port. There is a lot of charm in this hotel and it feels very cozy.
Cons: According to the price and the location, I was expecting to find a decor without any flaws... but sadly the furniture in the room was a bit dated and damage.

Pros: It was gorgeous and the staff was very courteous.
Cons: Nothing.
7.0 Good

7.0 Good
Pros: Very comfortable. Room lovely. Manager, superb

There is a fully equipped kitchenette with free tea, coffee, juice and snacks which is a lovely touch. Breakfast was outstanding. A choice of 8 different cooked breakfasts as well as yogurt, cereals, different breads, a beautiful plate of fruit, cheeses, jams etc. It’s a wonderful start to the day. Yo-yo and her husband are so amazing, they are so helpful and accommodating. They helped us find free parking in the street behind the B&B both days we stayed. My husband had also just done an Ironman so we had the bicycle in the car which they helped us store safely in the house. I would highly recommend this stay. We could not fault anything, it was a truly wonderful experience and made our visit in Montreal even better. Thank you so much we loved it.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Loved this hotel! In great proximity to everything Old Montreal and only 10 minutes by taxi to the heart of the city. The staff was awesome!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The robes! So comfy. The staff were SO nice. Comfy bed. Beautiful spotless bathroom. The front counter staff also upgraded our room. We will be back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was my 2nd stay at HPA, as I'm come to know it, and I feel great each time I visit. Great welcome, starting with the bellboy...on to the reception. Then two fantastic restaurants on the premises, in the event I don't want to venture out. I first discovered the hotel after eating at Kyo, the sushi restaurant ... and then I enjoyed a phenomenal steak tartare and dessert options at the Brasserie 701. Also, love the amenties in the room; well-chosen water, food, coffee and bathroom products. Quality experience, all around.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a clean, stylish hotel in a great location. They upgraded us to a junior suite. Nice! The adjoining bistro was very good and there are many good restaurants in the area.
Cons: The room was above the sliding front door which created a little rumble every time the door opened.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was charming with traditional wood and arched windows. The bathroom was updated with a jetted shower and rain head. The location was in the heart of the old city. A very pleasant and enjoyable trip.
Cons: No

Cons: Parking is quite expensive, but it’s such a central location it’s no surprise.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, restful retreat in the middle of old-city attractions.

Pros: Not enough good things can be said about this hotel. It is beautiful, clean and the rooms spacious. We had a luxury King and the bathroom was the size of the bedroom. The staff was excellent. The concierge secured us a dinner reservation at a place that was booked solid. You also can't beat the location. Right by shopping, restaurants and Bell Centre.

Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, limo/town car service, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Planning an event in Montreal? 9.7 Excellent
Pros: 5 star hotel and a great value
Cons: 5 star hotel and a great value. Only complaint was the resturant, that however was not an issue as there are many outstanding resturants within walking distance
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, the size of the room, reception specially mr. Reda he was very kind and helpful .
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: we liked the large rooms with a kitchen and the pools
Cons: we really disliked that the staff was calling my gf mr.bar when clearly she is a misses. my gf is visually impaired and there was a food tray on the floor that was left for a day or two that she tripped over. I disliked that no one greeted us and no one was at the front door. really didn't like these cons and they did nothing about these
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Luxurious hotel with large and bright rooms. Huge junior suite, perfect for families. Luxurious amenities in bathroom. Located in a great location. Full Starbucks also on site.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Let's start with the reception. After a 5.5 hour drive to Montreal, the reception desk informed us we'd be 10 minutes late to check in to our dismay. They had been instant messaging me leading up to the check in, so I was sure my room would be ready. I was shocked when I finally got in the room. They had decorated it with balloons and complimentary wine (with a hand written card) for my wife's birthday! Fantastic service! The pool and hot tub were ace (love the view) and we even tried Siam, the new Thai restaurant. Everything was exceptional. The location is of course, central downtown Montreal.
Cons: The user interface for the in-room entertainment is a bit too close to Netflix for our liking, as our daughter inadvertently purchased two movies! PSA TO ALL PARENTS. Watch your kids when they're using the television!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Service, location, comfort, bed, quiet, staff
Cons: Hot water pressure was almost non existent-- in shower, bath, and sink. Staff was ready to help; however, I didn't notice this until late at night on my one night stay. Wouldn't normally be a huge deal but the luxurious bathroom is what made me choose this hotel over two other similar contenders. Additionally, HBO was the only channel that didn't work. Not sure if they advertise having HBO on the website, but it was on the channel guide and didn't have any service.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, close walk to major shopping and events.
Cons: The hot tub is located outside, which offers nice views, but not ideal for use in the winter. Especially when there's a strong wind chill
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were professional and pleasant. The details were attended to. I loved that I got in my room and didn't have to call down for a corkscrew. The location is convenient. It is expensive, but not ridiculous.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Starbucks and restaurant downstairs are excellent. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff are extremely attentive. Everything was perfect.

4.6 Okay
Cons: Rude service, room was not as described!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were excellent in their politeness and helpfulness. They always tried to make a guest feel comfortable.
Cons: None comes to mind
7.9 Good
Cons: there is a lot of confusion regarding the location and name of the hotel- too many marriotts in close proximity. Showed address to taxi driver and he took me to the wrong place. Need better marketing to highlight the differences
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Open and clean space.
Cons: Affordable and luxurious
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has such a wonderful interior as is such a statement-setting glass exterior. The suite was very spacious and comfortable for the best night's sleep. Modern-day aesthetic has been very pleasant to see! The staff have been very attentive to my needs and have gone the extra mile to save my life as a DJ by providing me a cable that I had forgotten -- usually, the cable is not something you would easily "whip out of a storage room."
Cons: The parking lot was really tight. This should come as a warning to those who drive a long vehicle, such as a Chevrolet Suburban, because, despite whatever turning radius, your vehicle may rub into a column and, in turn, can do extensive damage to the vehicle body.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was just beautiful, wonderful views, comfortable rooms! But it was the staff. They were absolutely amazing! So friendly and they really try to personally connect with you. Best hotel staff I have ever encountered!
Cons: It was perfect
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Everything was great, the only thing I would change is the lighting in the room as it was a bit dark on the far side of the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in perfect location what is the most important when we travel. Bed was comfy, our room and other spaces clean, food tasty and the staff...The staff was AMAZING! Me and my husband travel a lot and I mean a lot (few trips to Europe and several trips in US) and this was the friendliest staff we have ever experienced. Every single person, we tried to think about anyone who wasn’t and nope-they are all amazing. Our favorite was James (waiter at the restaurant) such nice and very knowledgeable gentleman. Will definitely come back!!!
Cons: Parking should be included in the room price plus breakfast was a bit pricey for a simple bufete.
Le Mount Stephen - Montreal - Building

Pros: Beautiful historic renovated mansion. Top notch
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything. Absolutely beautiful hotel!
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location contrasting styles, traditional v modern edgy
Cons: Table not available for dinner
5.0 Okay
Cons: They advertise that there is a shuttle service which is misleading. It is a limo that charges twice what a direct limo from the airport does. The food, room and service are average. 4star at best. Definately overpriced. Try the well known hotels instead.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful modern comfortable
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service and location
Cons: No
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Concierge, Front desk staff, Bar George
Cons: Shower hot and cold mechanism did not work properly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Both our dinner and breakfast were outstanding!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was modern and clean
Cons: I left my ring in the room and when I called back they said it was not found. Too many steps! I would only recommend to certain people.
6.0 Good
Pros: This is a beautiful building with wonderful decor. The rooms are very nice and the bed was super comfortable.
Cons: So much effort went into being "chic" and "modern" that it was an effort to do anything: unintuitive bathroom tap controls; lights, curtains, & blinds controlled by buttons requiring reading glasses. Also, auto toilet seat was just creepy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Whoah what an amazing experience. The only thing that outshines the beauty of this historic gem is the incredible service. We will stay here every time we visit Montreal in the future.
Cons: There wasn’t anything we didn’t enjoy during this stay.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Upgraded room to a beautiful suite with fantastic view over City at no extra charge. Excellent location, and didn't have to wander too far to be in the midst of the city.
Cons: Nothing negative to comment upon.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very good, clean and spacious room in close proximity to all main locations in the centre of Montreal. 5 mins walk to subway station and even less to Ste Catherine street. Umbrella provided in my room was useful for walks in bad weather conditions. Option to store luggage after check-out.
Cons: Scarce variety of choices at comparatively expensive breakfast is exhausting if one has to live there for a week.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Dinner at restaurant was fantastic and the live jazz was a lovely bonus that made the evening really special. View from the panoramic room was worth it. Bed was very comfortable and room very clean. Bathroom was a treat.
Cons: No microwave in the room and no folding suitcase stand! These are things I’ve come to expect from even a basic motel, so it was odd not to have them in a higher-end hotel and they would have been handy.
7.1 Good
Cons: Street and neighbor noise.
1.0 Poor
Cons: Outdated technology only 40 channels to choose from (no smart tv, netflix etc), only iphone 4 charger available, thin walls so noise from outside the room was heard, no hot tub, can't open window in rooms, stale bread, staff did not care about our concerns, did not inform about free breakfast (told us it was an additional accommodation even though it was included in the price)
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Loved loved loved hotel, 0 complaints, I’m coming back.
Hotel Monville - Montreal - Building

9.1 Excellent (1,587 reviews)

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and express check-in. Planning an event in Montreal? This hotel has facilities measuring 4000 square feet (372 square meters), including conference space.
9.6 Excellent

Cons: Size of the room was small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the interior decor
Cons: Loved everything about if
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect from check-in, the room, the amenities. Everything
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, staff were very nice and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy checkin/checkout. Able to put a bottle of wine for us in the room ahead of time.
Cons: Technology for TV's was hard to use and unresponsive.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The room was new and clean, bed was comfortable, and the housekeeping staff for my room that I bumped into was nice. Hotel room is nice if you can get past the fact that they are adopting an extremely minimalist style, to the extent of possibly cramping your style.
Cons: The DIY check-in process was not seamless. Additionally, front desk did not meet basic expectations. The front desk staff assisting me with the check-in did not offer to retrieve the parcel they agreed to receive for me when I checked in - other hotels have done so. When I approached front desk later on to enquire about it, the staff manning the front desk did not acknowledge me and attempted to attend to the guest behind me in the queue when I was plainly first in line at the front desk. The other guest had to gesture to the staff that I was first in line. This is embarrassing for Monville's staff, and it is hard to give him the benefit of the doubt that he was not discriminating on race or gender or something, when I was skipped in an obvious queue. Did not encounter this anywhere else on my travels in North America. The hotel room design has some quirks, such as not having a trash bin near the sink. Room is designed for one guest. Amenities are kept to a minimum - no toilet amenities apart from shampoo, soap and conditioner, and no ironing board. Gym had a strong smell and was stuffy. At this price point, the hotel seriously lacks value.

Pros: Service and room was awesome!
Cons: Nope
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is fantastic, and the hotel itself was wonderful too. When we arrived late at night we were hoping to get dinner somewhere, and the lady at the reception kindly provided us with a recommendation. The room was very clean and had just as much space as we needed. The bathroom had all the essentials and was also perfectly clean. At the checkout we could leave our bags at the storage room while we were enjoying the city in the afternoon. Overall, we had a fantastic time!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked that the hotel had a great restaurant on the premises serving breakfast without having to go out looking for it. We had a nice supper there too. Also great location near other restaurants.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Hubby gave me a two night stay at the Auberge du Vieux-Port in Montreal for a Christmas present. It couldn’t have been better. We arrived on a Monday and after a bit of difficulty finding a place to park, checked in. The hotel staff were simply amazing. Every one from the cleaning staff to the valet were probably the most accommodating and kind and gave the impression that they really liked their jobs. We were surprised with a room upgrade to a king river view on the fifth floor-#503-ask for it. Ultra clean, very comfy bed, coffee maker in room and good toiletries. A HUGE shower with multiple jets no tub though but that was fine with us. The hotel has a bar pub that serves up pub fare. I had an excellent burger and great thin fries and hubby had the fish and chips. Both were quite large portions and the staff cheerfully accommodated some changes and ommisions. The best part is that the hotel is located centrally in Vieux-Port Port and between Isle de la Commune road and the famous and beautiful Rue St Paul. Fabulous restaurants and shops made it difficult to choose. Parking is off site and costs 25$ per night to self park or $35 for valet parking in a covered garage. We loved every minute in spite of the bone jarring cold and snow.....it just made it more magical. We will definitely be back!
Cons: Offsite parking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room, lovely staff, great bar attached. Will definitely stay again!
Cons: Construction close by... but not their fault.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were especially helpful in identifying restaurants and bars to visit.

Pros: I like the antique style of the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Housed in an old port building, the modernized property combines the best of the old with contemporary updates. Riverfront views with the attractions of the Old Port just a block away, it’s easy to get anywhere you want to go. We stayed for a long weekend as the season was just winding down and thought the setting was romantic, service was delightful and amenities just right.
Cons: The walls were a bit thin, we could hear our neighbors clomping around in heels and could very easily hear conversation. This was all Day time stuff and didn’t have interrupted sleep at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect old port location and great rooms
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The decor with the stone and wood was gorgeous
Cons: I would have liked a couple of actual coffee cups instead of demitasse in the room and actual hot instead of tepid coffee available downstairs with a ready supply of cream.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It felt like we taken a day in europe. The inn and staff were lovely
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel and excellent location along the water. Easily able to walk everywhere in the city. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Pros: One of the most convenient, high tech hotels that I have been. Imac, Apple Tv was already in the room. The room is equipped and designed for comfort. The internet was secure and fast. We did not deal with entering passwords. The front desk staff, the ladies were very helpful and kind. The bed was very comfy. Parking was free. In short I am giving 11 out of ten. The metro was at a 5 min. walking distance, which was so nice and easy to transport to the heart of the city.
Cons: Nothing
9.7 Excellent
Pros: It's was really close to the Metro and made it really easy to get into Montreal. The rooms were clean and modern equipped with Apple TV and a Keurig machine.
Cons: So for some reason my booking didn't include breakfast, yet in the room info book it said breakfast was included. For $20 more we could add the breakfast but it wasent worth it for us. We just went across the street to the Tim Hortons and had breakfast for under $20 and over 3,000 cal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great facilities close to metro station quiet area
Cons: Breakfast area can get really busy in the mornings, only protein offered are hard boiled eggs
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a very clean and modern hotel very near a metro station. It was so convenient to park the car and get everywhere we needed to go using the metro system. We enjoyed the breakfast that was included in the room rate. The desk help was extremely friendly and very helpful. Would stay here again!!
Cons: No complaints at all...lovely hotel with an awesome location!
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The cleaning staff was very helpful and kind. The rooms were nice and welcoming. Looks like the rooms have been recently redone. I enjoyed the newspaper each morning and the complementary water bottles.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very efficient and comfortable. Being very near a metro stop over the river from downtown Montreal means there is free and secure parking for a car, larger rooms with views, very nice breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms, and great service at a price significantly lower than being in downtown Montreal. And the metro stop nearby means it is less than 25 minutes from the hotel to a downtown (McGill/Peel) stop including the short walk to the metro at Longueuil. Great place to stay.
Cons: Be aware restaurants nearby are mostly fast food but are walkable.

Cons: The heat was not switched on at the time when we got there, so the room was freezing. We notified the hotel staff and the brought us a heater that did not work at all. We had to request additional blankets three times before actually receiving them.

Everything in Downtown Montreal is walking distance from the hotel. Would love to stay again. Great value for money!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The facilities are good, we xan use kitchen.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a very pleasant stay in a very original room - a bit like a lovely dollhouse - in a small old house on a calm street and hosted by a charming and cheerful old lady. The location is perfect for trips to Montréals downtown as it can be reached after 15-20min walks to either a station of a ferry boat or a Metro station. And the price for this nice accommodation was very reasonable and more than worth the money. Free parking was possible on the street and also the shared bathroom was nothing to worry about as it was very clean and tidy.
Cons: There was nothing to complain about for this nice lovely accommodation.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: Only complaint is that it was quite hot in the room. There was a ceiling fan but the air did not circulate very much what with the small window.

9.6 Excellent
Cons: The bed was on an incline and was lumpy but other than that the stay was excellent!

Cons: The bed frame and floor was very creaky. There were spiders in the room. It didn't come with breakfast and it's not in a convenient location. The stairs is very steep.

Pros: The old building was very nice to look at. It had all the modern amenities but you could still see the old structure. The lady running it was very nice and the breakfast was very good.
Cons: Unfortunately I was a bit too tall for the bed which is made for normal people.
