Great place but noise from upstairs guest who was up at 4am woke us up. So you have to be ok with some noise from creaky floors and people walking back and forth.
Nice location and historic character, managers very accomodating for my later arrival
Breakfast featured self-served mostly prepackaged items; expected a good home prepared B&B breakfast.
Very nice looking, room quite attractive and grounds nice looking. Staff did excellent job of orientation BUT, see below.
Thought the breakfast was totally lacking for a couple of reasons. First, it was not a prepared breakfast and to their credit it was not advertised as such. It was presented as a Continental Breakfast. So what was wrong? Almost everything was packaged product and so wasteful with the mound of trash that was generated from our simple eats. The coffee was from a Keurig machine. We absolutely hate these things as they create a large amount of unrecyclable trash. Everything except breads were factory wrapped in cellophane or plastic wrappers. Fresh product from a local bakery and real coffee would have been a major improvement.
The atmosphere. We just wanted to relax. We were able to sit on the porch and drink coffee in the morning and just relax.
Location, garden, the room... It was a perfect place for my purpose
