8.3 Excellent
Pros: We liked that it was on the edge of town because it was quiet. It was a half hour walk down to the lake but we enjoyed the walk. The staff were very gracious and kind and we thoroughly enjoyed our delicious breakfasts, served by lovely ladies!
Cons: Our suite was the budget one with no whirlpool tub and the one night there was guests in the adjoining room they seemed to use the whirlpool bath for hours and it did give us a poor night of sleep. Our “living area” had a basket chair and a hammock - both which were very uncomfortable for us so we laid on the bed. Not that big a deal because we were out a lot and there were comfortable seating areas in the common area and outside.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It is a pleasant place that is located in a quiet area, and although it is a traffic route for buses that go to Chapala and Guadalajara, that doesn’t bother at all and makes easy to move in and out if you aren’t driving a car. Very clean and nice, the staff was very friendly and always attentive to our questions. The breakfast mmm very tasty, we loved it!!.
Cons: Well the only thing I was disappointed is that in the description it mentions something about “pool view” but to be honest I never saw any pool around, maybe that have to change, besides that nothing else to say.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The shower had awesome pressure and the grounds were beautiful. The onsite restaurant was great too and there was an Oxxo right next door.
Cons: The surfaces in the room were not clean. We wiped all the surfaces down because of the Corona Virus only to find there was dust all over everything! The outside area was stunning, but there was no child protection around the pool.
7.0 Good
Pros: This small boutique hotel was beautiful, immaculate with good service. It has a very good restaurant on the property and the masseuse in the spa was one of the best that I have ever enjoyed.
Cons: The problem was that it is too close to traffic from the corner of 2 highways and there were dogs barking incessantly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Private and staff was accommodating and friendly
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Have stayed before, just as good as we remembered. so wasn't disappointed. A different room, but still a very large room, bathrooms had been updated. Very comfortable, nice decor, excellent staff, very good breakfast, and pet friendly. Just what we needed! Would recommend and would stay again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable rooms and a fantastic on site restaurant with nice views over the lake.
Cons: The shower wasn't the best and the hot tub had black water but in their defence I think there had been supply issues beyond their control when we were there.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The 3 room suite was gorgeous and the property is beautiful. The food in the onsite restaurant was excellent. The staff was wonderful.
Cons: The property is tucked away on a relatively busy road a little over a mile from the center of town. If you don’t have a car and no problem walking, it is easy enough to get into town except that part of the way there are no sidewalks. I was there off season and the restaurant was closed one of the days and there are no other restaurants nearby. You can take the bus or call a taxi.

All our rooms are separate each other and have total privacy.
7.1 Good
Cons: Room had a full kitchen but all the cabinets. We’re empty. Not even a glass. The room had decorative lights but the light bulbs they used did not light the fixture.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Our villa was spacious and clean. Furnishings & showers outdated, but comfortable bed. The pool was great.
Cons: The furnishings were outdated and there were no plates or utensils in the kitchen. It was too far to walk to the city center & we did not have a car. Often had to wait a long time for Uber.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very helpful.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Cold water
Cons: Service
6.7 Good
Pros: The whole facility was really beautiful Food service and food was great. Great location.
Cons: The day receptionist was not professional and the bell boy did not offer to help us with luggage. Both were not attentive no customer service. Not attentive. The night Thursday receptionist was not knowledgeable about it Ajijic area we had questions about transportation and area. She told us she did not had an answer and did not know. As we were checking out my husband forgot the TV control in the room instead of the Bell boy getting it, the day receptionist made my husband get it. When they were just standing doing anything. For us this is not customer service. Bad experience with both of the receptionist but more with the male receptionist.

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Not much.
Cons: The property itself felt dated and depressing. The furniture is worn out, the hallways are dark, overall we found it to be a depressing environment and checked out after one night.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We asked for a room downgrade to the first floor but they wanted to charge more with very lame reason
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The grounds are beautifully kept, pools are perfectly kept, low-rise of the hotel blends well into the environment, lots of birds, view over the lake is great, the restaurant is good (although not excellent), the staff is very courteous and very professional.
Cons: The restaurant room service is inconsistent - we ordered coffee every morning, and what we received varied widely from day to day; one day we got coffee but no spoons, and when we asked for cutlery we got knives and forks but still no spoons, another day we got a small carafe even though we asked for 2 cups and enough coffee for 4 cups, one day when we ordered toast and got the toast but no cutlery - quite erratic. The restaurant needs to put in some quality control to check that what was ordered is what is being delivered. In-restaurant service had some similar glitches with cutlery, napkins, etc.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The lake , restaurant and bar it’s pretty cool.
Cons: The rooms are oldies, the mattress very firm . Just a floor fan !!!
2.0 Mediocre

Pros: The hotel is nice by US standards and was perfect for our family. The hotel grounds are more beautiful than the online photos depict, and tranquil. The restaurant is good and the staff is responsive. Our daughter loved that our lake view room opened directly out onto the pool area.
Cons: It takes awhile to get a taxi from the property.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were great to provide a good fan for our stay. The staff are lovely, and accommodating. Breakfast is wonderful. The grounds are well kept.
Cons: Our personal preference is crisp cotton sheets and fluffy towels. Shelves and hooks need to be added to the bathrooms for personal items to be stowed. Perhaps we are just spoiled. We are used to air conditioning being available.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the staff are all well trained and very friendly. Owner & staff went out of their way to assist me. Once when my taxi didn't arrive the owner's son-in-law took me to my concert in his golf cart! Quite an adventure on the steep, cobbled streets!! The breakfasts are wonderful. The owner is a terrific baker so there was always a treat in addition to the very generous breakfast offerings.
Cons: Hotel at top of steep hill - I walked down and up every day but it is steep. Mexico in general is always noisy but I think the noise came up the hill at night & woke me a couple of times. Nothing really to do with the hotel itself except its location. On the other hand I had a good view from my room.
