Our room was on the top floor and absolutely gorgeous from the room itself to the bathroom to the breathtaking view! It was perfect and exceeded my expectations! There was nothing not to like! I'd stay there again and again!
The hotel is in a great location. Minutes away from the Market and all the top restaurants.It is on the Main Street with all of Charleston's shops. The hotel also has a great bar with piano music and if you would like something more casual, there is a fun sports bar. In addition,he hotel has a beautiful upscale restaurant
The rooms was beautiful and completely decked out. The staff was kind, curious, willing to help, and helped us coordinate between my girlfriend and I as we prepared in separate areas of town for a wedding I was in and needed to check in earlier. The room was extremely clean and the staff was extremely nice! No need to go to their bar or cafe, the prices of everything are unnecessarily high just because they are by luxury stores or something. They are $20 for everything, no lie. Do yourself a favor and go to any of the amazing restaurants in the area that you can more than easily walk to!

Ken, on the Club Floor always provides incredible service. He makes your stay! Frank is no longer there. You will not find a better location, or staff on the hotel side. The spa service is sub-standard, and over-priced. Therapists were not attentive to requests, and hearing complaints about their job because they didn't receive benefits, was unsettling. Urban Nirvana in Charleston offers the best service. Consider opting for their spa at Wentworth Mansion. The service and value trump Charleston Place, any day. Also the spa charged a 20% tip without notifying me, and overcharged for the services rendered. The spa therapists aren't Belmond Charleston Place employees, and are quick in letting you know that.

Location is the best thing about this hotel. Valet very disorganized and never anticipating peak times, Had to take my luggage to my room myself.... Over priced for the service or lack of service

The entire staff----everyone with whom we had any contact---they were all very helpful and anxious to please. The room was not very comfortable or easy to move around in . Bath was very outdated and not easy to use. Not very competitive or modern
This hotel was beautiful. A rooftop pool, bar with outdoor patio, and excellent feature, this hotel was everything I had hoped for.
Small rooms, smaller bathrooms, no balconies, rooms badly need refurbished. Dingy looking. Not any nicer than a Super 8. It's conveniently located is the best that can be said for it, but at that price it's not worth it. Stay at the Wentworth instead, only a bit more for an actual luxury hotel.
great location, great view of the riverfront, very friendly and accommodating staff paper coffee cups in room, walls were a little thin. the couple next to us were loud at all hours of the night. did not enjoy hearing them having sex!
Excellent location in the historic area, exceptionally pleasant staff, very comfortable beds. If you eat breakfast every day, get the breakfast package. This made our stay even more relaxing. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The bathroom was a bit snug. Price was high, but comparable for other hotels in the historic area.

I loved the complementary champagne, gorgeous pool surrounded by flowers & superb location. The friendly professional is very welcoming. The bathroom doors are sliding & did not give the feeling of full privacy. The room was not spacious but very comfortable.

We visit Charleston often and this was our first time staying at the Mills House. It was beautiful! We stayed overnight and loved the location, decor, and the cleanliness. We parked in the parking garage and access to the hotel was very easy. This will be a place that we come back to in our future visits to Charleston. Only small complaint I have was the pillows. They were fluffy until you laid on them, then they became flat and hard.

the vendue was wonderful. the staff were firefly and helpful and the room was very comfortable and well appointed. the location was also great. if you want even more character it may be better to say in the 26 vendue building but the advantage of 19, where I stayed, was that amenities were closer.
Location was excellent. Walk to many restaurants, the waterfront, carriage rides and an open air market. Wonderful service from everyone there. Rooftop bar was fun! It was very expensive, room was tiny, no views
The overall vibe, from the room decor to the customer service was outstanding. Everything was clean, the room was better than expected, and the whole hotel was fun to walk through and view the artwork. The customer service across the board really made the experience though. Everyone was fantastic and eager to assist! Only two minor strikes. The bed was almost too comfortable. It was extremely soft and the pillows were softer. The rooftop bar was an awesome experience in the evening, however we arrived for lunch the first day and over half of the menu was unavailable at the time.
Location, ambiance; roof deck No Fitness area; limited toiletry selections; a little noisy ( it's old); you will pay a lot!

really lovely hotel. The service is what stood out the most to me. Every single person I encountered was top notch (even more so than some internationally-known hotels I have stayed at). Even when there was a tiny issue with my room service (more on me for being picky) - there was no attitude from anyone, everyone was happy to make an adjustment. The replacement meal came in less than 10 minutes with apologies from the chef even! (And the meal was delicious, btw) I even received a follow-up call from reception about 30 minutes after I got to my room to make sure everything was ok. That's never happened to me before. The room was beautiful--dark wood floors, large four-poster king bed, updated bathroom. Top notch service, great location right by the waterfront and some amazing restaurants. Noise: the wood floors are so beautiful, but that means you have to hear your inconsiderate neighbors clunk around on their floors with their shoes on. Perhaps a very sweet note when guests check in (or in the room) that while the floors are beautiful, please be mindful of your neighbors and take your shoes off while in the room." Also, in the morning I could hear everyone's conversations from the hallway very loudly! Size of Room/Bathroom: this is with the caveat that I had a very low rate that provided me with one of the more standard rooms, so it was not necessarily unexpected. For what I paid, it was a decent size, bathroom just decent size as well. If I actually planned to do work while there, I would recommend getting a bigger room as mine did not have a desk.
The location cannot be beat--the art throughout adds to the atmosphere of the hotel. Bed too high up--I needed a stepladder to get in--the hardwood floors were shined and polished so much that I thought I would slip and fall.
We were in Charleston for a wedding and stayed 3 nights at Andrew Pinckney Inn. Location was within walking distance of the restaurants, cathedral and aquarium chosen by the wedding couple for the weekend events. Sandy was especially helpful with recommendations and assistance booking a city tour and transportation when we needed it. The hotel was lovely and intimate with just 40 rooms. Beautiful floral arrangements, breakfast on the roof top, fresh cookies and coffee, tea, water and lemonade in the lobby and attention to detail made our stay very memorable. Charleston is well worth the trip! We paid $319 + tax and fees for Friday and Saturday night. $199 + for Sunday night. I returned home to have an e-mail promotion from Snique Away for Andrew Pinckney Inn for $109 per night. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, but now feel that Booking.com was not my best option when booking a hotel. Prime weekend with USC graduation may have played a factor.
it was restful, convienent, and clean
Location is great - convenient walking distance to all areas. The larger room is perfect for two friendly staff the breakfast is very good and convenient the daily wine and cheese is an added plus! paid parking is convenient when we arrived - the small room we had smelled very moldy - we went back to the office and they gave us a better , larger room our room was in the inner core - so no windows - the good news was that it allowed us to sleep longer in the morning

The breakfast on the roof top. The location in relationship to downtown Charleston. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. The room had too big of furniture for the size of the room, esp the desk area. There was no swimming pool, jacuzzi, etc. Our room location was next to the entrance and it was a bit loud with the comings and goings. The maids started too early to clean rooms and it caused more noise in the hallway.
It was close to everything downtown. The price for the size of the room and the parking.
The location within historic Charleston was convenient to everything. We were able to walk to all of our chosen destinations! The amenities offered were excellent, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was very comfortable. Would love to go back there and stay longer!! Can't think of anything we did not like.

Room was very clean, uniquely decorated and furnished. Breakfast, while not great, was better than most I've experienced in the States. Great location close to the Market and other sites in downtown Charleston. Easy walking distance. Front desk staff was not very helpful or friendly. Bathroom did not have a fan, the sink water was always luke warm. No coffee machine in room. The price of the room was not worth the value of the room. Parking could be an issue.

Location was great. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was adequate if a bit dated. Bed was comfortable. I heard every car driving by, every city bus accelerating from the nearby intersection, every conversation in the parking lot, every clack-clack-clack of every wheeled suitcase going down the side walk. There were many times when I actually looked to see if I had left the door open because I could hear voices outside so clearly that they must be in the room. Walls and door must be made of paper.
The location was amazing. We were able to walk everywhere in the city. The room was clean and the hotel staff was very nice. Would definitely stay here again.

The location of this hotel was perfect. We were a quick walk to City Market and King Street. The staff was so nice and even fixed a circuit we blew within minutes. We will definitely be staying there again. We were very hesitant after the reviews but all was great! The vending machines were empty.

Rooms were completely renovated - new carpet, TV, refrigerator & furniture. The safe is nicely sized so you can lock up your tablet or a small laptop. Housekeeping missed cleaning my room one day. That didn't make me happy.

How fast I was able to leave. Smelly room, filthy carpet, toxic microwave and aggressive towing company waiting to tow your car while you check in.
I needed a quick place to stay for a few nights in Charleston. I had stayed at other Days Inn (on business) and wasn't expecting much, but this place was super nice. It's in a beautiful historic area and for the price you can't beat it. I watched an episode of Treehouse Master in the room, now I'm hooked. Thanks a lot TV, you god damned modern miracle.
The AC is noisy
The staff was very efficient. They helped me with every request I had. They also were very helpful on answering questions I had about the city. The only problem I encountered was ordering room breakfast on Sunday morning. We had an early flight and wanted to have breakfast before leaving to the airport. I asked for an order slip at the front desk, and I was not told breakfast was not served on early Sunday mornings. By the time I was leaving, I got a call from the restaurant informing me there was no room service until later. Obviously, th problem is that the slip you fill out does not specify the exception of early breakfast on weekends.
A very good room, bed and bathroom, well located No complaints
The location was very good. I liked that they gave you 2 water bottles each day. The shower was great and the bathroom was VERY large. The bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows were a joke. They were tiny and lumpy. The room could have been better maintained. One of the drawer pulls came loose. One day we didn't have enough towels. They usually provide 3 or 4, but we only had 2. I use 2 towels when I shower (one for hair and one for body). I didn't realize there were not enough towels. My husband got out of the shower and didn't have a towel! I had to give him one of my wet towels. When I told the girl at the front desk, she didn't even apologize. She just made a note to provide us with extra towels. We didn't want EXTRA towels. We just wanted the normal number. The AC was VERY loud! I had to turn up the TV every time it turned on.
Convenient to Historic Charleston Parking across the street - but only once. Other times parkng was available in the hotel parking lot.
The rooms were recently renovated and very nice. We were treated well by the staff. It was in a very convenient location. would definatley stay there again
Clean - but feels like motel 6 .. For $ 300 a night - u really get nothing but location .. Didn't like anything at all but the location - if they charged 145 a night and not 290 I prob would rave .. But for 290 a night one expect more services .. Or at least room service ...

On the top of hotels in which I have stayed. My friends and I all agreed that we love this hotel!! The only complaint, which is so minor it is hardly worth noting, was the phone system was not working correctly. We could call out, but the receiving end could not hear us. Lucky for us we all had cell phones.
We were quite pleased with the hotel amenities, staff professionalism, and its atterntion to details. It is a luxury hotel with an international flavor. Our one comment for change is to change the Church Street address. It is quite difficult to find it.
Great location to see so much of the beautiful city. Staff were very helpful, hotel is first class. Wine and cheese gave us a chance to meet some other travelers and share experiences.

Breakfast was great! The location was excellent. The Inn was quiet. Housekeeping did a great job. Room was always cleaned after a morning out. Turn down service was a nice perk. Always provided new towels at turndown service too. Just a lovely, all around Inn.
We enjoyed having the extras included in the price of the room. The champagne upon arrival, afternoon wine and cheese, coffee and cookies in the evening and the continental breakfast were a delightful bonus.

Great location. Only issue that we had was the WiFi didn't work well even though we had a router in the room. They changed it out twice & the service was still intermittent. The hotel was slow to respond.

Great location. Friendly staff. Large rooms. Roof top bar was a lovely spot for a late afternoon drink and to watch the sunset over charleston. The first room we checked into was smelly and overlooked a parking lot. Terrible room but the hotel was quick to relocate us to a much better room. For the price we paid for our room the first room should not have been given to us. A subpar room for a superior hotel.
Valet and Bellmen were on point, room was comfortable, location was good. Check-in staff was a little stuffy, room window was beside auxiliary generator that came on very loudly while we were there, and a parking deck, NO VIEW AT ALL! Got a text ahead of time to let me know we would be getting a high floor with a view only to get just the opposite. The rooftop bar and restaurant was more of a tourist destination with the feel of a national restaurant chain. Due to the rooftop situation the elevator was crowded and slow.
This is a first rate hotel! Will not stay anywhere else in Charleston. If you want the ultimate Charleston experience it is a must to stay at the Market Pavillion.

The service was great. I really felt pampered. The attention to detail was evident. Our butler made us feel welcomed and well cared for. The free snacks available in the room were a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable. Everyone there, from the doorman to the front desk to the cleaning staff made you feel like your well being was a priority. Being that the hotel is only 3 stories high a scenic view was lacking. It is a bit pricey so that a longer term stay may be cost prohibitive.

Location was fantastic. Easy and short walk to the main attractions in the historic district. The staff were super helpful, from the consierge service to the valet parking. Restaurant staff were pleasant and responsive. Hotel was clean and very well maintained. We would return.

The hotel is in the historic district which made it where we checked in, parked the car and the entire stay we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. It is half a block to the city market and horse carriage ride. 5 min walk to the waterfront park. And located all around it are fantastic restaurants. The staff was very friendly and gave us some great tips on things to do. When we come back to Charleston we will stay here again
This is a very beautiful hotel in downtown savannah. If you are located in room 299 then move as there is a night club located right next door and you will be up until 2am. The staff are not helpful. I missed my business meeting the next day.
Close to all shops & resturants No cold Water
Very good location, seamless valet parking through check in procedure.Very impressive lobby and above average room. They took the trouble to send on an item left behind. Arriving at breakfast from our room location, we didn't see the check-in podium and were dealt with rather strictly by the hostess when we went directly to a table.

Staff is gracious and welcoming. Our room was spotless. Other reviewers have noted that rooms are small. Fine by us as we tend to spend very little time in the room while in Charleston. Excellent, quiet location for historic district. The courtyard would have been very pleasant in good weather. Staff were helpful. Small room overdecorated, with no place to put personal items. Rained hard all day, with no indoor dining area, so breakfast and wine and cheese reception were not offered in the courtyard. Breakfast choices were very limited. Would benefit from better bad weather planning.
loved the location, the free wine and cheese reception from 5-6, the courteous staff and the comfortable beds. The shower was absolutely awful. More specifically, the water pressure in the shower was awful. I couldn't get clean, and when I told the staff they let me know they would have a plumber there within 24 hours, which was after we had left and taken two AWFUL showers.
Proximity to restaurants/shops. Was hesitant to book after reading the many negative reviews about the the hotels lack of cleanliness and finally booked thinking, 'it's probably just people over reacting'... It's not. When we checked in and arrived to our room, the previous guests' room service tray was still outside. Not a big deal, but queued my curiosity about inside. Upon entering it all looked clean. Bed made, bathroom dry and stocked. When I finally took a seat on the bed, I saw it. The linens had multiple brown and red stains on the quilt and pillowcases. And a few strands of hair. We immediately asked for the bed to be remade (which they did and apologized for), but it was still difficult feeling comfortable when we crawled in bed after a long day.
I've stayed at the Elliott House several times over the years. Love the location and breakfast delivered to the room.
Wonderful stay in beautiful courtyard patio room. The staff were responsive and helpful without being intrusive. Even when we made difficulty for them (demand for in-room refrigerator; screw up on date of check out; arriving with two vehicles instead of one) the staff handled it superbly and with grace. Loved being near the shops along King St and the restaurants on Meeting and Market. The bar was just that - not a sports locker room or TV lounge; perfect for a drink and a talk. My only frustration was that the weather was nice but not nice enough to dine romantically in the courtyard after dark. This is NOT a criticism. The Peninsula Grill (the only in-house eatery) is a fine establishment but expensive with a menu unsuited for anything but fine dining. An in-house or affiliated restaurant serving more family/daily meal focused fare would be an added bonus, especially if combined with some limited ability to have the meal delivered ala room service.
