Once I got through the automated phone system the team at Little Neck Road in Savannah were great to interact with. We met Casey the manager and Grover, but the majority of our interaction was with Robert Kraeling. He was always personable and followed through on commitments for service. All gentlemen are an asset to your company and should be recognized for the value they place on customer service.

I prepaid for a large SUV months in advance. When I arrived at the Hertz counter, I was told I would need to wait an hour for my car because they didn’t have enough in the garage. After an hour, I was offered a Dodge Ram pickup truck, which didn’t work for me because I had 2 babies in car seats. Then, I was finally offered a Dodge Durango (about an hour and a half into waiting). After I signed the contract and went thru the paper work, the employee was about to hand me my keys when another customer walked up to the counter and said his rental car was too small. The employee then gave that customer my Durango which I had spent the last 10 minutes signing a contract for. Hertz gave me the smaller car which barely fit 2 car seats. By this time, I was nearly 2 hours into waiting and just wanted a car to get out of the airport so I took it. On top of that, hertz charged me and extra $2 (two!!) for the smaller car. When I got to the garage, I was surprised to find dozens of Hertz cars sitting in the lot. Since I waited two hours for my car “because they didn’t have any on hand”, it was very frustrating to see. Upon returning the car, all signs said to return the keys to the Hertz desk (all other rental car companies had employees in the garage to help check the car back in). There were no Hertz employees around the desk area. Only company to not have anyone working. Overall, it was the worst car rental experience I have ever had. I will never be using Hertz again.

Car was not available when requested, and I was told there was no 7 passenger SUV available, but then was told there was a large van available, but we had to wait for an hour before it could be brought up from a distant lot. Difficult with two small, tired grandchildren after a long day of travel.

Poor instructions on how to locate the car. Very poor signage in airport for locating car. Had to teturn to the counter in order to receive additional mediocre i structions for locating the car!

The dropoff location was wrong and they’re trying to charge me an exhirbitant amount

The car was dirty and very dented upon pick up. At highway speed the car would shake. The passenger seat would also make a horrible noise also. The Tahoe has been beaten up and not indicative of a Hertz rental. Very disappointed all the way around!

Cons:

The cost: I have yet to realize any perks at all to my Hertz Gold membership and wonder why you even have this.

Alamo staff, particularly Josh and the managers, went above and beyond to help me. They very promptly returned an item that I had left in the car. It was returned via FedEx and they quickly and kindly addressed my concerns about the return of the item. I am very grateful.
