Car was advertised as a no smoking car. It reeked of cigarette smoke that got worse over time (after whatever fragrance they sprayed to try to cover it up)

I can’t stand or walk far. Kenzie had me sit while she got everything ready. I signed my papers and she got a car and brought it up to the door for me. The first car was a bit tall (I’m 4’10” and have bad joints). She then found a RAV 4, that had just come in, and it worked fine for me. She also was there when I returned my car and she told me to drive it up to where I picked it up, so I wouldn’t have to walk so far. She is a real asset to your organization. The previous night I arrived at 9:00 to pick up a car from Alamo and though promised a small SUV all they had was a Sequoia and a large truck, both too tall for me to get into. I cancelled their order as the person at the desk said that’s all they had (and didn’t seem to care that I have requested a RAV4 or similar and was told one would be there for me when I arrived). I called up Enterprise, after going to my hotel, and they had what I needed. We took the shuttle from the hotel the next t morning and Kenzie took care of me. You should give Kenzie at the Enterprise EVV desk a raise. She was wonderful.
Everything was great until the car return. The location was inside a mall, and difficult to find. I was frustrated trying to get a local agent on the phone to help me return the car properly. There should be some explicit written instructions for this unusual office address. Once I found it, the agents were helpful and efficient!

Our flight was cancelled and we worried that we wouldn't be able to pick up our rental car as we would arrive after the branch had closed at 7. We called and the first person we spoke to was not helpful and basically said we were out of luck because they close at 7. We called again (possibly a different number?), and this person was extremely helpful. She explained that she would leave the keys and contract in a secure area for us to pick up after hours. When we arrived at the airport, she had stayed late to make sure that we and others arriving late due to the cancelled flight were taken care of. I wish I knew her name so I could recommend her for some kind of commendation. She really turned our trip around and saved us a lot of trouble.

Dropped off 6 am at the airport. No one at the parking lot or front desk. Returned cars filled Key lock box was jammed, so customers just piled returned keys on the desk. This seemed true for all 5 or 6 car agencies at the small regional airport.
Terrible - it wasn't fulfilled. I got a call the morning of my rental saying there were no cars.

Reserved car online for noon pickup on Saturday. Called at 12:15 to make sure everything was ready before driving to rental office, only to learn the office closed at noon and would not reopen until Monday. This left me in a difficult spot, but things got worse when I went online to cancel the reservation and was charged a $306 cancellation fee. I won’t be renting from Hertz again.

The people at the place we’re so nice and helpful. The car however smelled of smoke. The car had been cleaned and smelled strong of air freshener until the 3rd day when that wore off and the smell of stale cigarettes took over the car.

I rented a car for a week from the Green River road Evansville Indiana location and I was told by a rep that if I returned the car earlier than when my reservation ended I would be reimbursed for the days I did not use the vehicle. I returned the car on the 3rd day of my rental and I was charged the full amount. If I would have known I would be charged the full amount I would have let the rental sit in my driveway for 4 more days. I told that to the person I returned it to and she said yeah that would be smarter "but there is nothing she can do about it now" because she had already processed the return. I asked if there was someone else I could speak to and she gave me customer services number. I called customer service on Monday (11/8) and they told me they could adjust my bill to the daily rate for a compact car but they could not do the refund until I was fully charged so to call back after Wednesday. I called back Friday (11/12) and they are now saying my bill should be even more than what I paid for it. If that was the case why would it make any sense for them to tell me to call back so I can be charged even more for returning a car half a week early so Hertz can benefit from charging me the full week and charging whoever else they rent it to that day. I am very unhappy with the misinformation I was given and how I was yanked around and wasted my time. I want to be reimbursed for the 4 days I did not use the rental car which is over half of my rental agreement. This is deceitful and Hertz is now able to use the vehicle for other customers that I returned early only at a cost to me. I am very unhappy with how I was treated as a Gold Plus Rewards member. I will not be using Hertz again.

What I liked was how quickly I was put into a vehicle. Previous driver did not check back in properly or fill the tank. Good customer service overall though.

Intermediate SUV
I liked that we got a free upgrade, from a small SUV to a medium SUV, at no additional cost. Although I was worried that the gas mileage would suffer, it turned out to be a nearly new vehicle; the mileage was very good! The staff in the Hertz office could definitely use some professionalism. They do not greet customers when they come in, and the atmosphere is too casual for a business. The environmental decor is completely lacking. Could use comfortable seating at least..
Drop off…unclear where car was supposed to be left. I’m guessing I left it at the correct place but there were no attendants nearby or at the booth to ask. Other thank that everything was fine.

Waited forever for counter to process rental contract. Then walked to pickup area and car wasn’t even there. I had to go back to counter and wait in line again for 30 minutes to get another car. I made sure car was in lot. I had to leave car to get a ride back to pickup rental. When I returned to pick car up I started the car and it had low washer fluid warning and car network down check immediately warning. I walked back in to rental counter. There was 5 people in line. I waited 45 minutes only move up 2 people. I walked to enterprise and had a car rented in 15 minutes. I then got back in line behind to same to people and waited another 30 minutes. I told the counter person I wanted a full refund due to car issues and wait time. I was told they can’t refund I had to call customer service. I called customer service and had to argue with because they said the car had moved when it did not. They refunded most of my money $62 wasn’t refunded but it’s not worth calling again and I lost the insurance money I paid to the site $66. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had renting a vehicle.

Still waiting for a callback from your supervisor. I was denied a car I paid for because I was late for pickup because I BROKE MY FOOT. And your employee yelled at me, cancelled my car and then publicly harassed me in an airport. I then had to pay $200 more for a last minute rental from a competitor company at the airport and they only had a truck which I could barely get in because of said foot
