Cons: I didn't like that the agent didn't know anything about the extra insurance protection I paid $18.00 for and kept attempting to get me to get the Alamo/National insurance.

Great day trip
Pros: I requested a small standard - like Toyota Corolla. I got a jeep suv which was great and very comfortable! Friendly service at pickup and drop off. Car was super clean. It was a great quick rental for a day trip between work meetings and flying home.
Cons: I wish is wasn't so much higher to drop off at another airport, especially since they're only an hour apart. Would be nice is satellite radio was included instead of $5 extra, just felt like another fee.

Pros: Super friendly gal at the counter. Drop off was fast and easy
Cons: They closed at 7 pm and didn't open until 9 the next morning. I wanted to drop off car later in the evening, and didn't know it closed so early.

Cons: We arrived in Augusa, on the way to a wake and Alamo didn't have a car available although we had made a reservation. We ended up renting a car from Hertz at five times the price of Alamo since we had to pay the "walk up" price.

Vehicle was dirty inside
Pros: Pick up and drop off was a breeze. Staff was really friendly.
Cons: Noticed dried food stuck to center divider console. Back door on vehicle didn't open.

Pros: Fair price for a one-way, fast dropoff and pickup
Cons: Stained seat, heavily air-freshnered to get out previous scent, charged through the nose for gasoline when no gas station in the area had any gasoline due to the shortage
Pros: comfortable car, easy rental/return, good value
Cons: did not have the sirus xm radio or navigation

Checkout was terrinle
Cons: There was no full size car and my only option was a little mini-jeep. Of course, if I wanted to pay more there were PLENTY of vehicles to choose from. Car was damaged and agent didn't want to sign that it was. Took over an hour to get the car and leave. Agent was a bozo.

Total ripoff attempt
Cons: At check in, I was told that my reservation had been cancelled since my flight was late - but he could give me a car for 3x the daily rate of my reservation. After I showed him the "terms and conditions" that didn't include cancellation upon flight delay and that kayak didn't represent the appropriate terms, he miraculously found my reservation. The whole episode took 15 minutes and there were 10 people in line in behind me. It might explain why it took the folks I front of us 15 minutes as well. My guess is that they were running this gambit on everyone.

Pros: It was cheaper when I arrived. I was given a Nissan Frontier and I loved it! While I was in VA it poured down rain and I felt safe. Both of the representatives were great.

Pros: I received a nice new vehicle to drive for the week. Customer service was much better at the return.
Cons: I arrived a little early to pick up the vehicle and the manager was not very courteous.

Closed on arrival!
Cons: The rental counter at Augusta airport was closed upon my arrival. I was not able to get the car I reserved. Had to get one from Budget, which was open.

Pros: The customer service was excellent and friendly. The car was awesome for what I paid . No complaints! !!!
Pros: The lady at the counter was great. They didn't have the car I reserved, but gave me (what they considered) an upgrade from an SUV to a minivan. But they said they would check with other companies to set me up with an SUV. It didn't matter, so I just took the van.
Cons: I dropped the keys in the late night drop box but I was called the day after I returned my rental asking where the car was. ... They had misplaced the keys, but found the keys somewhere and the van.

Cons: Credit card charged twice, once for the appropriate rate, another for $499!! the national hotline has left me on hold for 10 minutes and claims I am not seeing the two charges.

Car was OK, staff sucks
Pros: Car was OK. Paid for an upgrade to go from a Rio to a Lancer... Not sure what kind of upgrade that is.
Cons: The folks that rent cars in Augusta move at the speed of smell and the car was just mediocre at best.

Pros: Only place with a car last minute
Cons: Didn't have a counter at AGS. Called to inform I'd be late dropping off and phone rep couldn't give me a breakdown of new total cost. Said to call ATL location where the phone rang and rang and nobody answered
Cons: As someone who has spent 10+ years designing surveys for companies might I recommend changing the default position of the rating scale questions in this survey from the base point of "Excellent"? That is very bad practice and definitely not something that Confirmit would have recommended :)

My New Choice
Pros: Long time Hertz customer that has several bad experiences over the last year. This trip was the Masters and Hertz tripled the rate from the time of the reservation six months earlier. Cancelled and rebooked with Budget at a normal rate. We actually received an upgrade in class as that was what was available at checkin. Thanks Budget!

Pros: Excellent car (Impala). Very comfortable & well designed.
Cons: The agent had me walk back out, all the way across the parking lot to get the mileage when I returned the car. Never had to do that before and maybe they could have told me to record it when I picked up the car.
Cons: Immediately after reservation I received email confirmation. Six hours later I received next email that my reservation was cancelled. In the meantime I didn't have opportunity to review my emails. Next day after coming to the Hertz location I was informed that they don't have a car for me. I was treated in very unpleasant way when I tried to contest that situation. The office manager also call the police asking them to come to the location because I don't want to leave their office. Police officer- after listening what happened - decided to help me out and gave me a ride to find different car rental company. If he would not help me (police officer) I would not have a chance to come on time to air port for my flight to Europe. Because I was forced to rent last minute car from different car rental I paid twice more for the rental. Also there was very a stressful situation for me. This is the last time I will rent a car from Hertz. Moreover I will inform all my friends not to rent a car from Hertz.

No Car Reserved
Cons: I received an email confirming my reservation with Hertz, and when I went to pick the car up, there were no cars available. The young man at Hertz wasn't very friendly, and he told me that a reservation confirmation doesn't guarantee a car. This makes no sense to me.

Cons: Booked for a full size car, the store didnt have it and they didnt even call me to explain the situation. They just gave me a upper level car and told me my total amount is more than what i have booked for. When i asked them for the reason than they said they dont have any car. Normally i never had problem with them before, but this time i am disappointed.
Pros: The entire process is pretty easy. Just remember that the Avis counter is now with Budget instead of the Avis counter.
Cons: Be careful about the insurance coverage through Kayak. That's not Avis' coverage but Kayak. If you have any problems, you have to go through Kayak not Avis. Luckily this didn't happen to us but it's good to know before spending the extra money.
