The car delivered was not as represented and did not fit our group, they offered a car that was closer to what was reserved, but only if we paid another $450 on the spot. Said they could do nothing and gave an email address to write to. No one ever responded to the email.

Nando was great in Porto. Unfortunately the drop off location in Lisbon (at the Tivoli hotel) has limited opening hours and does not offer a way to leave the car in the garage. This meant I had to wait 30 plus minutes to effect the drop off. The employee there was pleasant, the issue was the process.

It was a little more expensive than we expected. What was most frustrating was they asked for a PIN for my credit card. I didn't even know a credit card could have a PIN. I tried my usual PIN 3 times and then got locked out. It's a Portuguese bank, so I'm sure someone on the staff used that bank and could have helped me figure out how to find or reset my PIN in the app. They weren't helpful or friendly. So we had to use my friend's card, which meant we canceled our original rental (cost 26€) and re-rented the car on her card and then we had to add me as the driver for another cost of 25€. If the staff had been more helpful, we could have found my PIN and saved 50+€. (I found the PIN in the banking app later, so it was possible.) The car was bigger than I expected, but very nice.

Terrible experience. When we arrived to pick up the car they wanted 200 euros more for a one way drop off fee. I had read the contract carefully and nowhere did it say we would be charged for this. The rental company was unable to show it to us; they just insisted it was their policy. We left and rented from enterprise and they were wonderful. No hidden fees. Will never book with Centauro again.
