Ambassador Chicago is a boutique hotel with a history. Built in 1926, this hotel was inspired by the jazz area and was host to the city's most elite guests. Offering the best of both worlds, Ambassador Chicago is situated in the quite, affluent section of Chicago while still close enough for guests to be able to explore the city. With a coffeehouse-style cafe and restaurant/bar on the premises, however, guests are able to come back to the hotel to relax and unwind after a day of activities.

Suites are outfitted with a variety of different amenities to suit the needs of any guest. The most luxurious suite is the penthouse suite. Large enough to entertain and decked out in glamorous decor, this suite is an elegant home away from home. Hotel-wide amenities include a fitness center, business center, and valet parking for a fee. Ambassador Chicago is pet friendly so guests are welcome to let their pets tag along on vacation.

Pros (+) All the staff were pleasant, the room was always restored to its original status upon return of my daily travels. The hotel room was cleaner than my last visit which pleased me. I will stay there again. I am planning future trips/stays.

Cons (-) No phone charges available Heater making noise throughout the night, had to choose between being cold or awaken by noise Heat was off when I arrived, "engineer" had to come up to turn it on (shouldn't it be obvious where and how to control the temperature?) Heater was on the ground behind a desk, I had to get under the desk to adjust the temp each time
