This is an excellent hotel in downtown Chicago, close from many city points of interest, like de Navy Pier, Grand Park, shops, Museums, restaurants, etc. We were glad to stay there during the Chicago Marathon weekend.
Two main concerns: 1- The hotel description claims the hotel has parking with EV charging. We were passing through on a road trip in an EV, so this was key for us deciding to stay here. However, it turns out the hotel itself has no parking whatsoever (let alone EV chargers). Rather, they are next to a public garage that has EV chargers. But, being a public lot rather than being associated with the hotel itself means there's no way to ensure guests will actually be able to park there. The lot was full when we arrived and so had to park down the street at another garage (without EV charging). I looked later at PlugShare and found that the EV chargers at the garage next to the Marriot are often ICE'ed, so we likely wouldn't have been able to use them anyway. Since this was a key deciding point for us, we were very disappointed. 2- Partly our fault for not just using the address in the reservation email. But, be aware there are three "Marriot Miracle Mile" locations. We went to the wrong one first. Sounded like people make that mistake a lot. You'd think they would make names that were more easily distinguished. Other than these concerns, the location was great, and the hotel itself was nice and reasonably priced for downtown Chicago.
Cons. On going construction. Started at 7am suppose to start at 9am.
Pros. Location was awesome. Close to everything at a reasonable price. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Indoor pool.
Pros. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the magnificent mile. Perfect for those who want to walk and not worry about ground transportation. Having a pool was a must for our family, so we enjoyed having the pool after a long day of sight-seeing and shopping. The team was helpful when we had needs and overall it was an excellent experience.
Cons. Price of parking in the area is absurd, but that has nothing to do with these guys!
Pros. Location. The bed was comfy!!
Cons. The view of a rubble pile from torn down building
Pros. fantastic
Cons. nothing
