Availability of swimming and gym Restaurant not particular meal and expensive
The room was very clean and comfortable. When we came back to the hotel at about 11.45 there was a very loud private party going on which sounded like it was under our room. We assumed it would end by midnight so went to bed. At 12. 30am it was still going strong. Reception offered to move us to a different room as their parties go on until 1.30am. because this would have been equally disruptive we stayed put but I wonder why they put us in a room which was subject to this level of noise in the first place when clearly they had other, quieter rooms vacant. When we checked out and I asked for a comments form we weren't even asked if our stay had been ok. Very disappointing.
Very comfortable friendly hotel for a family wedding
Very clean and comfortable - pleasant room with good facilities. Excellent dinner menu, beautifully cooked.Good breakfast
Nothing, was very bad room I stayed in the family rooms. Nothing worked as it should. ( TV, hot water etc ) Bathroom had water from toilet.. Everything
we only stayed for 1 night and we had a good time the staff were friendly the room was clean and comftable,we didnt use and of the facilities but i will be doing next time my partner couldnt sleep because of the heating fan that was out side of are room other then thatits was all good
food, swimming pool, theme park tickets included, surroundings
Gym, restaurant No room service apart from pizza
Location The hotel seems to be in a general state of decline. Room was grubby and showertray overflowed(this was probably why the room was damp)
Staff, Gym, location, room extras (I needed the sewing kit) I ordered a toasted sandwich for my eve meal. It was delivered with a plastic cover over the plate but this made the toast damp and limp. Not a good choice of bar meals - only sandwiches. When I stay away (approx once a week) I never eat in the restaraunt (I'd get fat). My only option was a toasted sandwich. So unfortunatly I cant stay here again.
it wasnt very clean net curtains were dirty with fag burns in.
Good Service. None
staff the first room i was given was dirty, damp noisy and smelled.I only stayed by uograding
The days sets you down in a busy location, yet provides a good facility to work and rest in peace, there is a bar and lounge diner providing food and beverages and has everything the weary traveler needs. Some may complain about the architecture and age but frankly as long as the basic standards are met - which they are, the decorative order and facilities are adequate and well maintained. You can actually leave the motorway at this point. It is not an official exit and the access is for hotel staff residents and traders. Regrettably there are a few irresponsible motorists who don't think the law applies to them and who ignore no entry signs and drive through. Beware of these people some of them go through very quickly and if you are not sure of your access point their tailgating impatient antics could and nearly did with me result in a collision, that is not funny on a motor bike get a camera and a 5 mph restriction on it, it is an accident waiting to happen on a blind corner immediately you enter the service area on your left beware!!
Rooms need updating but this process is under way, food in resturant was excellent for both dinner and breakfast, staff very good.
Clean, modern and great shower.
Location and staff Cleanliness in general and linen did not smell very fresh!!
staff helpful and pleasant. good location very easy to find room was cold even thought radiator was on.
Close to my destination Understaffed
thought the rooms where fantatstic, undergoing a refurb the bed was really comfy and had WiFi, thought exec room was excellent very clean and fresh excellent for £40. also thsi lodge had a bar and restaurnat which was a great suprise, excellent location right on motorway would recomend.
ful breakfast came without mushrooms
We were parents of the groom and we were delighted with the venue, the wedding breakfast, the attitude and helpfulness of the staff and the facilities Kilhey Court has to offer. Rooms are a little tired looking but clean and well equipped. If I had to complain about anything, it would be that the bar in the evening was understaffed and it was said that the 20 minute wait to buy a drink was unacceptable.
The leisure facilities mainly the pool area I visisted many times. Genearlly enjoyed my stay and the people who were working at the hotel were friendly and efficient. I would return wiothout hesitation.
I liked the location and the facilities. we stayed as part of a wedding party and thoroughly enjoyed everything the bathroom in our bedroom was ready for refurbishment, but it was fine.
That all staff spoke to you politely even when merely passing on the stairs.
The staff were very supportive. I needed some special consideration for a guest I had invited. A very sick lady. I was able to entertain her in a private room thanks to your team. In particular a young lass called Megan. It was her innovation that made this happen. You have an excellent team at this hotel.
The staff were great, it was my daughters birthday and they made a fuss of her and she loved it. It was so clean and relaxing, I would love to go again. everything was perfect
the spa facilities and the lake behind the hotel
Excellent attentive service from friendly staff, especially around bar and restaurant. Although under pressure, especially at breakfast time, the staff kept their sense of humor throughout.
every one was very helpful.
Quality and comfort of rooms. Friendliness of owner. Dvd player in every room with choice of dvds to watch (for free). Charged for extra bed which didn't ask for (but did use/need afterall). Not enough towels for all of us.
Friendlyness of owner
Welcoming, comfortable, clean and tidy
The staff were approachable and friendly, the room was very comfortable.
A great b&b with friendly and attentive owners.
Staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. They made us very comfortable, felt like home. Accomodatations were beautiful. Parking is very tight in England.
Outstanding in every way None
Very friendly. Lovely decor. Appartment very well equipped.
Staff very friendly and helpful particularly to international travellers like myself. This B&B is well located and managed.
Lovely room, friendly staff None.
Great staff (especially helpful and thoughtful at check-in), comfy bed & pillows, v good food. WiFi also available and free; other hotels please take note! Blankets on bed - not really a negative, I prefer duvets.
Lovely setting with good pool and spa facilities
The staff were exceptionally heplful arranging food when we arrived late and ensuring we had a very comfortable plsce to eat.
Good room, Nice buffet breakfast. Staff helpful Nothing really, busy car park with golfers but space available
we thought the hotel was dated & tired, checkout was too early at10.30 beacause breakfast is served till 10.00
staff were friendly dinner was of a high standard and the room was comforatble and quiet. The pool was really good and mean t I could get a swim while being away on business.
In general the staff were courteous and helpful, especially those associated with the provision of food. I reported a problem with the flushing of the toilet after my first night; on arriving back late for my second, I found that absolutely nothing had been done. It should either have been repaired or I should have been transferred to another room.
Location was good for Motorway stop off in a rural setting with secure parking. Nice dinner in the hotel restaurant and breakfast was very good. Having requested a quiet room we were accomodated in a room above the GC bar where the golf club annual BBQ was held with a noisy disco- our floor was vibrating with the noise so had to complain. This might explain why service was slow in the hotel bar and restaurant slow to take our order. Room in need of updating and no hot water in the sink tap.
Bar staff and silver service staff were very good and helpfull. Breakfast in the morning. The service were dreadfull, we asked when we arrived for breakfast at 9:30am for coffee and toast. She returned with the coffee but no toast. Very rude staff who gave you the impression they were doing you the favour serving you. Spolit the last impression of the hotel. Also bathroom in need of a good clean.
the room was big enough, clean and nice decor. Breakfast was good.Countryside was beautiful. Unable to dine on Saturday night in resteraunt or bar, Should book table when booking hotel. Shortage of towels in bathroom.
Small, comfortable room with large comfortable bed. Excellent dining room with good wine selection. Also a wide selection of bar meals and local beer.
There was a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The food was amazing and the room comfortable and had everything you needed.
Good breakfast Comfortable bed Pleasant hotel Looking a little tired. Carpets have been down for a very long time and could well be replaced, particularly in the bedroom.
The staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms were charming and the breakfasts were fantastic ! We were joined by other members of our family for dinner and they too thought it all superb ! Will definitely go back !
Good food, good bar with decent beer. Room clean and well furnished, not modern but functional. wireless signal didnt reach to the room
From the welcome when I arrived to the efficiency of the check-out, my experience at the Millsone was first class. The restaurant staff were 5 star.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was top notch. The room and in particular the bathroom was getting a little tired and in need of an upgrade.
Returning to this Hotel after very many visits,I found,(as always,)that the room was exremely comfortable and very well appointed. Moreover it was quiet and restful. The great advantage of this Hotel is that it is set in rural surroundings(the peaceful Village of Mellor,),yet is close to the Centre of Blackburn.and is easily accessible from the Motorways.Food is also extremely good. All in all, very good value for money. There is nothing to dislike about this Hotel. The atmosphere is that of a Country Inn,yet combining all the facilities one would expect in a central City Hotel.I stay at it every year on an annual visit to Blackburn.I have never been disappointed.
The quality and choice of food is excellent. The noise of the kitchen fans was fairly bad but at least they were switched off at 11pm!
Nothing The rull of room was dark, full of cobwebs where it hadn't been cleaned properly, the carpet was dirty, the bathroom was dirty, with bits on the floor. The towels were damp in the bathroom on our arrival. All in all you need to put a hotel inspector into the property
Staff very friendly I thought the room was a little small/cosy and no bath.
I liked the friendliness of the staff and I also felt a "happy atmosphere" around the place even when they appeared extremely busy during meal times. Overall I found the hotel very good value for money.
Clean, friendly staff and quiet Area, cleaning staff were inpatient well before our checkout time
The grounds outside the hotel are neglected; hanging baskets are withered; flagstones dirty and weeds sprouting up everywhere. This does nothing to enhance the building and is a let down to the staff and guests
Leaving it! Walls were paper thin and you could hear everything in th next room. My door didnt fit the casing properly and when someone went into the next room I thought they were coming into mine at three in the morning. My daughters room faced onto the main road and she was kept awake all night by ambulance and police alarms and trafffic noise and drunks in the rooms next and above her. The rooms were supposed to be non smoking but the couple in the next room were smoking and others who smoked went outside and banged three sets of doors to get there. The place was hell.....and the next day we complained to the manager who said there was a night manager on,,No evidence of anyone around as all was closed!
Excellent service with everything! Nothing!
The comfort and cleanlines and most importantly the safety of the environment. Difficult to ask questions and get any answers. I also found it extremly noisey due to its position by a busy road.
location (proximity to an activity), quiet room, friendly staff difficulty locking room door, instant coffee at breakfast
I felt the staff within the hotel & bar/restaurant were exceptionally friendly & felt they could not do enough for me. Service with a smile every time! nothing
Comfortable, quiet and easy to access. Very practical for one night stop on journey.
Convenience, cost, size and cleanliness of the room. The extractor fan in the bathroom was a disturbance.
It was quiet and the rooms were comfortable but you had to eat in the pub next door
The bed was so comfortable! The breakfast area in the Yarrow bridge was a little dates and we had to wait a long time before someone came to take our order.
we were really made welcome and felt that the staff were really interested as to whether we were happy or not instead of just reading from a script
The staff at the hotel were very pleasant and helpful. The room was very hot, and the noise level was intrusive to the point of ruining our sleep. When we were having breakfast the cleaners started spaying polish on teh table next to us, we had no option but to leave.
Clean, friendly, quiet and functional.
The hotel was clean, modern, in a perfect location for my purposes (business), and unfussy (in a good way!). The restaurant being off site (although next door) is not ideal, but perfectly acceptable given the price range the hotel falls into.
Nothing outstanding No bad comments
Close to centre of town Sunday morning staff were sitting on food counters and picking at food. I could not believe it.
The hotel room we stayed in was old and tired, the breakfast was a very poor offering.
Vrry relaxed N/A
Room was located by lifts which was a little noisy
Clean, comfortable. Handy for town centre. Not easy to find and in a fairly unappealing location - poor lighting and condition of footpaths around hotel. Be careful if out walking!
relaxed atmosphere, quiet, easy access to local and regional ammenities paying extra for breakfast, the price of these rooms should have been inclusive
nothing unhelpful staff , dirty rooms , overpriced
Friendly staff Dont like fag burns in carpets and smelly soft furnishings.
Location of hotel for shopping and visiting family Good value for money Staff very helpful Price of bar drinks seems high and food was not value for money, No vegetables with meeal, sausage & mash was exactly that!!!! Why no veg
Thay have now upgraded the Hotel and is much better as I stey here 2/3 times a year.
Nothing Kids playing football in the hotel corridor, no hot water / pressure. Rooms dated and not very warm. Furniture, fixtures and decor reminiscent of 60's / 70's. Not value for money. Breakfast basic. Poor choice of hotel. Only positive was the helpful receptionist.
friendly and helpfull staff
The price. Just few quid more expensive than Formule 1, but much more comfortable. Great budget hotel! WiFi was not available in rooms - only in the reception area. Water pressure from the shower was low, Rooms - mainly clean, but some dust could be seen around the corners. Furniture is a little old.
Lovely swimmimg pool, very suitable for children Payment for using the swimmimg pool and towels.
location and facilities unclean bath tub. the price of the room was cheaper 48hrs prior to the booking date. cheaper than the bookings.com price
Swimming pool, although very small / spa pool. There was no menu outside the restaurant to see whether it was worth going in (in the end I didn't). Also it woul have been nice to be able pay for swim facilities with the room.
Bedroom was too cold.
Convenience and value for money
the availability to allow pets
Receptionist very efficient and made us feel welcome. The Hotel is quite run down with evidence of neglect and age. Could do with a re-vamp. No food available from ~ 2200hrs, which is when we checked in. Take- Away food could be ordered & delivered from local outlets.
We were upgraded to an executive room at no extra charge.
Very friendly and helpful staff, together an enthusiastic team. The food was excellent. Bedroom door lock was difficult to operate - but the staff eventually fixed it.
Warm welcome, open fires, excellent breakfast. Nothing
Quality of rooms, setting you would never know you were in a major city, peaceful, and beautiful gardens, first class My stay was too short!
clean and tidy everywere, friendly staff and the food was lovely. nothing they could change really because its a hotel but just the time in the morning when you've got to get up and out of your room by 11.
Lovely looking hotel, small, cosy rooms, nice lounge and garden There was a wedding and we were the only other guests in the afternoon, we were told to talk quietly and not put the tv on too loud as tey were doing speeches, we had to walk all the way outside in the grounds to drink outside and have a cigarette as this wedding seemed to take every nook and cranny downstairs ...apart from the lounge. So they could improve privacy for both the wedding parties and their other guests.
Comfortable bed, nice garden, good breakfast. Very disappointed to find that the advertised free internet facilities did not cover my room. Raising this with reception resulted in the suggestion that I move around the hotel with my laptop.
Fantastic place in a fantastic setting. Staff mostly friendly and helpful. I would come again.
Clean tidy and very nice bathroom The view from the window was onto a fire escape and kitchens, but the hotel was very busy as there was a wedding so rooms were fully booked.
Set in peaceful surroundings , the hotel was very recreational. The staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms were warm and well kept up Not a complaint, but better selection of draught beers would be great
Lovely room and facilities. Plenty of room & closet/drawer space. Slow check, could have been a warmer welcome.
Friendly staff and very convenient for the party I was attending. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment of the food. Nothing fancy, but what you expect from a Premier Inn The room was a little cold on arrival, but there was a heater that could be s witched on and probably better than than those hotels where you stifle! Bed a little firm for my liking.
The welcome was warm, the bed sublime and the convenience excellent.
'Camp bed' for my son, he is 10, was horrible. He was awake most of the night and therefore kept us awake too. The mattress was hard and lumpy and it was right up against the radiator. He caught his toe on the radiator and was moaning about it for hours.
Reception staff very good. Accommodation as expected.
Requested and got a quiet room. Restaurant food poor, wouldn't eat-in again. Bathroom door would not close, extract fan not working, one down lighter not working in bathroom.
convenience for our party! clean and no fuss at check in
Friendly helpful staff & service, clean, quite, excellent breakfast. Bar closed early (10.40pm ) closed
