8.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning scenery and location
Cons: Beautiful location and friendly staff slightly spoiled by excessive pricing of food which compares to New York or london prices without the quality
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was excellent
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nothing not to like here. The hotel is just beautiful from the decor to the food and of course the staff. We had a lovely room with a view over fields. The room was gorgeous, with free tea and coffee and a mini bar for alcoholic purchases. The bathroom had a huge tub, under floor heating, robes - was perfect. We went for dinner which was exquisite. What a talented lady Lisa is. I can honestly say this is the nicest meal I have ever eaten. Service in the bar was great and the knowledge from the Sommelier during our wine flight was a delight to listen to. Breakfast was again perfect - I just can’t fault this place. I loved it. Treat yourselves and have a wonderful time
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The bedroom was lovely very clean and well presented. The décor was beautiful
Cons: We didn't enjoy the 6 course tasting menu that cost us £85 per person. We felt there could have been more entertainment within the hotel
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The attention to detail within the whole place. Friendly relaxed atmosphere in a luxurious hotel which is just perfect. I have a nut allergy, which makes me always a little anxious as I’ve been given nuts in previous hotels even though stating. From the minute we entered the dinning experience they stated they knew I had a nut allergy, even when serving the bread too. I can not state what a fantastic relief it is as someone with a severe allergy that you can really trust it’s been taken care of. Fantastic food too. Made a perfect stay even more perfect! Can’t wait to come back for another treat.
Cons: Breakfast was delicious, but we had to at least 10 mins to receive our tea and juice we’d ordered from when we sat down. I know it was a relaxed service for breakfast but prompter drinks would be much better so you can sip whilst you wait.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was first class
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The attention to detail in the room and the restaurant, everything was superb.
Cons: I can't fault anything.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The room though beautifully appointed was mostly browns in colour which made the room very dark. A little depressing for us.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Love the location - my only little issue was the location of my room meant there was quite a lot of traffic noise during the mornings.
Cons: See above

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Derek is a lovely guy who couldn’t do enough for me. Incidentally, I was awoken at 4.30 am to what I thought were birds making a horrific noise and Derek said it was the magpies across in a tree....well they must have followed me home as I got the same surprise the next day at mine....it seems my I Phone developed a very random alarm setting which was very, very load lol and nothing to the with the birds at the guest house!
Cons: The shower in my room was exceedingly hot or cold so could do with adjusting ( I meant to tell Derrick but forgot)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Derek is very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast very good also.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great hospitality. A very warm welcome. Made me feel at home even for the one night I was staying. Owners always smiling. Gave the place a real feel good factor. Highly recommended
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast. Helpful host booked a table for us at local pub for evening meal. Shower better than expected, not the low powered trickle that you often get. Tea pot provided in room along with kettle etc.
Cons: Some road noise in the morning but it wasn't a problem at night.
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean room, excellent breakfast and helpful staff.
Cons: Bed was uncomfortable and sheets and towels had synthetic qualities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owner was more than helpful and couldn't do enough to help us
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice friendly place to stay
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owner was very friendly and catered for all my needs, the room and bathrooms were very clean which is a must for me. And you get a good breakfast in the morning. Very good value for money i have stayed in bigger hotels like travel lodge and premier inn that were no where near as good as this place.
Cons: The only thing i could say is that with me being tall the shower was very awkward to use as it was quite low and couldn't be angled to stand underneath it which was slightly annoying but wouldnt affect me wanting to come back as all in all it was a pleasant stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Full English was brilliant. The room was spotless & the bed was super comfortable. It was wholesome & served with toast & coffee. Would definitely recommend his place to anyone.
Cons: Absolutely nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spotlessly clean. Great breakfast. Car parking was good. Derek was a great host and booked our taxis in advance for us. We will be returning without doubt
Inglewood Boutique B&B - Chorley - Bedroom
3
9.3 Excellent (368 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Inglewood Boutique B&B in Chorley, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Macron Stadium and Astley Hall. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely clean room, made to feel very welcome, off road parking, and 4 minutes away from my brothers house which was brilliant as he is not very well, would love to come back and stay here again thank you very much ( shame we didn’t have the time for breakfast maybe next time)
Cons: Maybe the stairs but that could be helped as that is where the family room was,
4.5 Okay
Pros: The bed is comfortable.
Cons: We stayed in room 5, the bathroom has carpet. So, the bathroom stank of urine. It wasn’t clean. We waited 15 minutes in the dinning room for someone to take our breakfast order, so 15 minutes, no tea or coffee. And, still breakfast order hasn’t been taken. It wasn’t busy, there where only 4 other people in the dinning room. I stay away from home virtually all the time, in the week for business and weekends for fun. I know what this level of hotel in this sort of location should offer for this sort of money. And when the only up shot is, the bed was comfy you walk away having not had the breakfast you paid for and having had to get clean in a filthy environment. You sort of feel robbed. If you’re in a rush, swerve this place. If you want clean swerve this place If all you intend to do is sleep and need a bed this place will just about do. Very disappointed.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and welcoming. Excellent breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A good experience overall
Cons: There were no dislikes
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Charmingly furnished and decorated, great style and the best bathroom ever. Lovely breakfast.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything to be honest. The location suited us perfectly as an overnight stop on our way as it was easy to find and within walking distance of a nice pub for a quick night cap. The room was great - we were given a choice with thoughtful comments on each room to help. The room we chose on the ground floor was ideal as it had a huge bed and we loved the quietness and the decor. The dining room was beautiful and the breakfast superb. The ladies we met were lovely and very friendly.
Cons: Nothing really. We loved our stay. The shower holder was broken so you had to hold the shower head when showering. Not a problem for us for a one night stay and I'm sure this will have been fixed straight away because as soon as we mentioned it, there was concern, apologies and a note made to fix it as soon as possible.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff, room and breakfast!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely clean rooms gorgeous fresh breakfast and the staff are lovely friendly and helpful
9.3 Excellent
Pros: easy access for late arrivals, comfy bed.
Cons: Not many parking spaces and we didn't get baked beans with our English breakfast.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Jackie was there to meet me and was very warm and welcoming. Good size room with everything needed for a 3 night stay. Lavinia was there in the mornings for breakfast (which was tasty and plentiful) She was brilliant and made me a bacon sandwich when I had to leave before breakfast started. Chorley town centre was only a 3 minute walk away so that was nice. Will go on my list of places to stay when I am in the area again. Thanks for looking after me. Andy
Cons: Parking is a bit of a lottery. There are only 3 spaces at the house so if you were a bit late getting there it was a case of finding somewhere down the road.

Pros: Lovely staff. Nice and clean. Would definitely stay again.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: I’ve been a few times it’s been really nice but this time staff wasn’t helpful one who booked us in was very ignorant and it took 16 mins to make me a latte cause instead of finishing my order she served someone else

Cons: Air conditioning unit smell was odd at times but once reported, the excellent staff said it would be sorted.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Plenty of parking and nice breakfast. It was not a busy period (Sunday Night), so very relaxed. Significantly better than my previous stay at Travelodge at Cambridge, where the room was very cramped
Cons: Nothing
5.8 Okay
Pros: The room was comfortable and clean, well-appointed and with plenty of room. There as a tea service, Ironing board and iron and hairdryer. The WifI was fragile to connect at first, resetting your appliance usually cleared the connection issues, but once connect was solid.
Cons: The restaurant food was poor, had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and it is something I would not repeat. The seating area for the buffet breakfast is easily crowded, as when I was there one bus tour was staying over and it was chaos trying to find and keep a table.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The young man on reception was delightful and appropriately funny. He was helpful and attentive. All the staff were lovely, polite and helpful. Going back to stay in September as on 2 nd half of training course.
Cons: The coffee was not the best.

The owner also offers a taxi service - this was very useful as we were attending a wedding at St Wilfred's in Ribchester and we needed to be picked up later in the evening from the reception in the out of the way location in the nearby countryside.
Cons: Not much, perhaps the weather!

Pros: Excellent location. Hosts very lovely. Quiet house. Convenient location for restaurants. mattress very comfy- I like a firm one.
Cons: The shower was very weak. Pillows either too big or small but to be fair I didn't ask for a different one (it was late and the host was out). I was not given a choice on breakfast. I did just want eggs but was made a full english. Saying this the host did go to efforts and was very attentive over breakfast.

Cons: The weather
9.3 Excellent

Pros: Darren and Angie the owners are lovely. Even on a night that the pub doesn’t serve food, guests can have a great pub meal. The room is comfortable with a great hot shower. The bar is really nice and dog friendly. The accommodation is a short drive to Whalley and Clitheroe and lovely walking in the Ribble Valley.
Cons: Midweek breakfast was early....great if staying on business but a bit too early for me in holiday
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A warm welcome to a friendly pub and B&B. The room was clean, tidy and had a decent tv and comfortable bed. The shower was excellent and the bathroom was more than ample. The breakfast was excellent, with great portions and good quality food, all for a great value price. Lovely setting too and a good pub downstairs.
Cons: The wi-fi in the room was poor but everything else was fine and there was the option of better wi-fi in the pub, downstairs if you really needed a signal.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A popular local village pub with accommodation. Well appointed rooms in a great, elevated location with views over Lancashire and beyond. Friendly atmosphere and a great breakfast. Darren, the landlord, and his staff were very friendly and at tentative to customers and guests,
Cons: Initial telephone contact with the Lord Nelson was not as smooth and professional as that experienced when we actually arrived at the venue. Parking is an issue on the narrow road outside the property although we later found out that there was a small car parking space for guests at the side of the pub but limited to only two or three vehicles.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: There are so many things to like about The Lord Nelson Inn. The location, a ten-minute walk from Langho station, is convenient, although I would suggest a taxi as it's something of a steep hill. But once you are there, check out the garden at the back of the pub and the views over the fields and hills - just stunning. The pub itself is a great little local boozer, full of friendly locals, great local beers, nice wines and a fun, warm atmosphere. And access to all the best pop and rock music (thanks, everyone, for putting up with love of Duran Duran! But you know it makes sense...) Darren behind the bar is an excellent host, very accommodating and happy to go the extra mile. The room was what we excepted, comfy bed, good shower, TV and tea-making facilities all present and correct, and very little noise from the road outside. The breakfast in the morning was very good, and extra points for putting the baked beans in a ramekin - who likes bean juice seeping onto their fried egg? The sausages were good and bacon cooked well, and lovely to get an extra glass of orange juice thrown in. I'd definitely stay there again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The B&B was attached to a lovely country pub with brilliant atmosphere. The landlord/host couldn’t have been nicer. He had the room warm for arrival and made time to explain how the room worked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very good breakfast and very friendly staff and hosts
Cons: nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent, and the hosts Darren & Angie were very friendly and very attentive. Called me and my wife by our first names, which was very friendly. Darren reserved a table for an evening meal shortly after our arrival. The waiter service was good for our evening meal. All four of us enjoyed the meal and thought it was good value. He also arranged for a taxi the following day to take us to a wedding at Mitton Hall, some 7 miles away
Cons: There were two Wi-Fi codes given; one for the bar area and another for the room. The connection wasn't very good in either. The room (1) could have been cleaner. We found a hair roller and a McDonalds type potato chip between the bedside cabinet and the window. When it was mentioned to Darren, there was an expression of surprise and the blame attributed to a cleaner who had serviced the room the day before. My wife was told "just move them" !!! - even though Darren was servicing one of the other rooms at the time. No real apology. I would have expected him to come down, take a look, apologise and move them himself. To be honest, with the amount of dust on both the roller and the chip it was obvious that they had been there for some time. The boxed skirting below the radiator was also full of dust which had obviously not been cleaned for some time. There were also a couple of items left in drawers from previous occupants of the room. The towel rail in the bathroom did not heat up. As we were only staying for two nights this wasn't a real problem. However, when I mentioned it to Darren, he seemed surprised and said "there must be some sort of air-lock". Again, there was no real apology, which surprised us, because in all other aspects of service he was very good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: When I arrived I was shown to my room it was very clean and tidy with tea making facilities and en suite shower room. Towels on the bed. I put on the tv but was so comfortable I went to sleep very quickly. I went with my dog and he settled really well too. Breakfast was enough to keep me going almost all day. Will book again if in the area.
Cons: I cannot think of anything I didn’t like.

Pros: It was modern, clean and contemporary as you entered. The staff at checkin were friendly and efficient. Our rooms were spacious and we had a connecting room. We ate in Bennett’s restaurant wish is excellent. Food was really top notch. An excellent one night stay and would use this hotel again as the location allows us to split our journey from Scotland to London to see family. Excellent hotel.
Cons: Just one comment here. The description said extra large double bed. It wasn’t. Yet the twin beds were massive. I would probably choose a twin room instead of a double next time.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was superb - and in an excellent location for our purpose. All the staff we met were very pleasant ,attentive and helpful, both at reception and in the restaurant Hotel dining can be one where you wish to forget the whole experience . However, all the 3 different courses that my husband and I had (6 in total)were absolutely delicious, and without fault - the mussels were to die for and were so fresh
Cons: Although we do have reasonably firm mattresses at home, we found the beds and pillows a little too firm - but this is obviously difficult for an hotel to try and please all preference

6.0 Good
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Cleanliness in general and linen did not smell very fresh!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The days sets you down in a busy location, yet provides a good facility to work and rest in peace, there is a bar and lounge diner providing food and beverages and has everything the weary traveler needs. Some may complain about the architecture and age but frankly as long as the basic standards are met - which they are, the decorative order and facilities are adequate and well maintained.
Cons: You can actually leave the motorway at this point. It is not an official exit and the access is for hotel staff residents and traders. Regrettably there are a few irresponsible motorists who don't think the law applies to them and who ignore no entry signs and drive through. Beware of these people some of them go through very quickly and if you are not sure of your access point their tailgating impatient antics could and nearly did with me result in a collision, that is not funny on a motor bike get a camera and a 5 mph restriction on it, it is an accident waiting to happen on a blind corner immediately you enter the service area on your left beware!!

6.3 Good
Pros: The location of the property as well as the views were both lovely
Cons: Stayed at Stanley house hotel for 1 night and had two rooms booked, beautiful hotel, perfect location, spacious rooms and scenic views, perfect for the hen party we hosted. However staff members; no smile on their faces, didn't feel a warm welcome. We then had two rooms booked side by side and we were watching tv. A member of staff then came by and asked us to stay quite. Bearing in mind we had two rooms on the complete end of the building. We then kept quiet and and hour later he came back to knock on the door and told us to be quiet, at this point due to him returning he had ruined the mood and we stopped watching tv, bare in mind we came for a hen party celebration. We also found he was Extremely unfriendly and rather patronising. Breakfast was included in our package and ignoring the event of the previous nights we happily went to attend breakfast. The restaurant main waiter (female) and waitress were so unwelcoming. No smile, no welcome, it seemed like they didn't want us there although we had paid a fair amount and deserved better. We felt so uncomfortable and had ordered eggs with soldiers, the yolk was hard inside but due to the uncomfortable encounters with the waitresses we couldn't even tell them. We got up and left. We would like to conclude that our stay was initially really exciting, the venue is amazing in itself and the facilities you provide are fab too, I would love to recommend however your staff really let us down. The bride of the hen party also has a bridal suite booked for her wedding in a couple of days and due to the unforeseen experiences, she is reconsidering her stay at the hotel for her big day which it highly upsetting. I hope this customer feedback is valued and if there is something you could do for us as a bit of compensation for our not so great experience would be much appreciated
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The stay was lovely, view was amazing, the massage treatment was just what I needed. Most importantly it’s family friendly. Both my sons enjoyed exploring the grounds.
Cons: Only thing I would change is the checkout time to 12 noon instead of 11am as breakfast can be rushed especially when with small children.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful, looking to please. Room very pleasant. Grounds well kept. Spa well worth a visit , manager and masseuse very good
Cons: Could help maintain some of the walks from the grounds which were overgrown . Some staff more efficient than others. Could have done something special for our anniversary
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was great and the hotel was very comfortable and clean. We will definitely be staying there again
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: The bed was very hard and uncomfortable
7.0 Good
Pros: The location and cleanliness
Cons: The services like Spa and Gym closes at 8:00 pm should be open til 10pm for late checkins. and the breakfast was not explained. The staff should explain that the hot food will be made when they greet the guest. Not after filling the plate with what’s out. The check out should be 12 midday.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Big comfy, modern and quiet rooms, we stayed in the Woodland rooms.
Cons: Breakfast... we had to ask for everything; drinks, food, butter and still the milk never appeared for the coffee. The service was a real let down. I was also disappointed by the breakfast selection, no plant milk and the toast was like cardboard. Very poor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely situation, great dinner and breakfast, large rooms and lovely staff
10.0 Excellent

Pros: My window would not shut and there was a ledge that was rotting wood outside and it did not feel safe. The staff were amazingly friendly. The bathroom was a tad unclean but the bed was very comfortable. There was not netting over the window that overlooked the car park so in order for some privacy I had to draw the curtain which were very heavy and the room quickly became very warm.

5.6 Okay
Pros: Lovely looking hotel, small, cosy rooms, nice lounge and garden
Cons: There was a wedding and we were the only other guests in the afternoon, we were told to talk quietly and not put the tv on too loud as tey were doing speeches, we had to walk all the way outside in the grounds to drink outside and have a cigarette as this wedding seemed to take every nook and cranny downstairs ...apart from the lounge. So they could improve privacy for both the wedding parties and their other guests.
5.6 Okay
Pros: Clean tidy and very nice bathroom

Cons: Television and wifi signal not good but it wasn't an issue for me.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owner went out of his way to get my breakfast out promptly, as I had to go. The milk was locally sourced; it was delicious. The rest of the breakfast was also tasty, and I was served real filter coffee in a cafetiere, rather than instant.

Pros: Room was nice and clean and spacious

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location for friends wedding down the road at Mitton Hall
5.8 Okay
Pros: Comfy bed and pillows! Polite check in staff.
Cons: Last guests used toiletries in bathroom. Very dated decor. Grubby, bit musty and smelly. Even in an ‘upgraded king room’!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: There's more than enough parking space, and it was no trouble to check in a little bit early. The room was big in comparison to other hotels, and it had a big screen TV. The breakfast was good, both continental and English.
Cons: There was no airconditioning in the room, and the window could only be opened a little. The room was right next to the golf course, so there where people talking and golfing at 7:30 on sunday morning...
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The food in the resturant was excellent provided you got the meal you ordered and the community areas were very pleasing. Just don't stay if there is a large wedding group staying overnight during your stay.
Cons: Being kept awake until 3am by drunks creating and swearing in the corridors following a wedding reception on Saturday night. Its not unreasonable to expect the hotel to take the necessary means to curtail such behaviour.
