The motel was right off the freeway, and easy to get to. They were extremely accommodating for handicapped individuals, with special rooms that have shower seats and no-entry showers. This was perfect for our family. They didn't have a plunger, which is kind of crazy when you have that many rooms, something is bound to happen at some point. They then moved us to another room free of charge, which was nice, until we realized that there was no air conditioning in the other room, and no screen on the window to let fresh air in without bugs (and there were plenty of those outside, with only a few inside. Not as bad as some hotels I've had to stay at.)
Comfortable bed A number of regulars hanging out, drinking and some arguing.
Check in was easy and the hotel is right off the freeway. The pillows were exactly the type I like to sleep on. The motel allows one dog free of charge, which was great as we are traveling with our dog. Around 2 in the morning the motel lost power and subsequently water. It still wasn't fully operational by the time we left, which was 10 am. The power outage made checkout a long and tedious process. There were no do not disturb signs available and there were cleaners in our room before we had checked out, which was very awkward.
Best place to stay in the area. For the small oil town of coalinga it was great
If you can't afford a hotel, then of course the price is right. Staff is nice and it's walking distance to "downtown." Residents are mostly long term people working jobs in the area, which is a little more comfortable. Found roach traps in the room which immediately makes you feel icky. No food, coffee, or vending machine available. A hotel is better, but if you're broke, it gets the job done... Bed, shower, tv.
I knew what I was getting into have stayed there before, the place is pretty nasty but close to the college that's really the only reason I stay there Everything
Nothing! If I had to choose between sleeping in a tent or staying at this so called hotel, I would choose the tent!! Pool closed , bathroom/shower filthy, room dirty , stains on bed sheets, coffee pot filthy, and above all I paid xxx to stay in this place!!!!!
close to were I needed to be. shower door had no handle, and shower door would not close, door between rooms had end table holding it closed, coffee maker did'nt work pool had dirt in pool and was locked up. All in all the Cambridge is gone way down hill.
It was close to where I was going. They was no parking in front of the rooms. Just didn't feel safe. Wake up call didn't come thru. Shower floor was broken an it almost broke thru when I stepped on it getting into the shower. Could tell they had tried to fix it. In fact I took a picture o
I like that it is a locally owned business. The location was perfect for me and the owners are real friendly and helpful. It is a little run down and could use some remodeling, but everything works, so I really can't complain much.
Proprietor was friendly Heater didn't work. No lightbulb in bedside stand lamp. Drain in bathroom sink slow to empty.
One bed each in two separate rooms Location was terrible and not clearly mentioned when I rented the room.
Owner was scooper found him walking out of our room when we lift to go out and the room was not good room
This hotel is absolutely DISGUSTING. To say filthy doesn't describe it. I will try to contact Health authority in California and suggest they examine the conditions there. I would not even touch the shower far less get into it. Mould and dirt. 1st room, wrong no. Of beds, 2nd room, outside door didn't close properly, 3rd room filthy as I have said. There was a fridge in the room which obviously hadn't been defrosted in a long time. Had to wipe the dust off the TV screen to see it. Prepaid.
convenience to I% very hot room and only luke warm water in shower
Location right off freeway Very small rooms double beds against wall on both sides
For a 1 star rated hotel, I got what I expected. Outside temperatures for that weekend were 100 degrees and above, so I definitely needed a good air conditioner for the room. It did work which was a good thing, but it was very loud, cycling back and forth from 'loud to louder.' Very annoying.
Super good value on Highway 5, nice pool, surprisingly quiet.
Location The breakfast is very meager.
The price and the fact that it was close where I was visiting family Kind of small room
The location when there wasn't much in that area when I was tired of driving For a 1 star I'm not going to put it down for it's minor flaws. The only thing that really bothered me was the window was dual paned and the seal was broken turning the window white so you couldn't see out of it.
Housekeeping and maintenance staff was excellent. They were quick about repairs and keeping the room tidy. Front desk was difficult to reach and often not possible to get in contact with even when physically walking up to the front desk Front desk. The power outage. Changing rooms late at night with work early in the morning. Rooms needed repairs and maintenance. Fridge broke upon arrival and food spoiled. Desk lamp needed to be replaced. Shower leaked but couldn't be fixed.
There was nothing about this property that would make you want to stay there. Internet was broken the entire time, the room had a foul odor, there's no cell signal in the building, and it's no where near the actual city of Coalinga.
There were dead flies in the room and alive flies in the room as well. My room key did not work and it took two additional trips to the front desk to get a key that would work. The continental breakfast was questionable. Fruit looked old, selection was minimal
Resourcefulness of the maintenance and housekeeping staff. This excludes the front desk. The lack of effort from the people at the front desk. There was a power outage and they waited for guests to go to the front before informing them there was no power.
